School Rumble (Broom and I)

Mei glared at Komoku and then back to her mother, ignoring his idiocy. This was a nightmare. "Why? You never do anything, can you even be qualified for this?" She kept her voice low, and respectful. After all, as much as her mother bothered her, she was still her master and she was grateful to her. If it hadn't been for the things she had taught her, Kent would have been a much more difficult opponent.

"I had my training back before I had you, and you forgot to hire a substitute nurse." She responded as she moved closer to Komoku, her eyes bright with mischief. She liked him already. "Now let's do something about your friend here. Or is this the one Aimee tells me about?" A wide grin spread across her face. "It's nice to finally meet you, I'm Megumi. Mei's mother."

No. No, no..no.

"I noticed," Komoku grinned. "I see she has inherited your wonderful looks, Mrs. Wolfe. You're as pretty as your daughter, you have aged wonderfully. Rokujo Komoku...Mei's boyfriend." Wow, what a beauty. Guess he just had a thing for Wolfe girls?

Mei stared at Komoku quizzically when he introduced himself as her boyfriend so nonchalantly. It had really been the first time she had heard him refer to himself as such, and it made her happy.

What did not make her happy, was how he was flirting with her mother.

"Just call me Megumi, sweet boy. My daughter sure knows how to pick them. Very handsome, you are. Probably more so if you weren't so roughed up." She purred, gesturing over to one of the beds. "Sit down for me, so I can treat those injuries for you?" To Mei, her mother had such a lewd, perverted, disgusting tone of voice. She couldn't believe her..she couldn't believe Komoku. She was absolutely, quietly livid.

"What, these?" Komoku said, acting like a puffed up peacock. "Nah, it's nothing...I'm only here because Mei told me to get checked out," Komoku grinned, arm around her shoulder to drag her along with him. "She worries, you know...all the time." Mm, she smelled nice...she liked the smell of a fight on her. "Don't you worry about me, Mrs. Wolfe...take a look at Mei, first."

"You are just the sweetest thing..." Megumi cooed as Mei was reluctantly dragged closer to her mother. Her mother looked her up and down, and then she frowned a bit. "What's the matter, Mei? Why do you have that bruise on your face? Is your leg still bothering you?"

Mei sighed a little. Unbelievable, she wasn't even hurt. "Yeah, it is, but it will be fine. I had to take a punch, but the bruise should go away." Mei explained as Megumi moved to the back of the infirmary where all her supplies were. She took out a cold compress and handed it to her, for the swelling of her face. Her leg just needed some more time to rest.

"Put that against your cheek so the swelling will go down. You ought to guard that face more often, for your boyfriend, Mei." Megumi winked at Komoku and then nudged him to the bed. "Alright, tough guy. I took care of Mei and now it's your turn."

"Hey, I like her battle scarred," Komoku sniffed. "It enhances her beauty, there's nothing more attractive than a girl who can handle herself, Miss Wolfe." he said, sitting down with a faint sigh.

"Oh yeah?" Megumi asked as she knelt over and grasped his chin and pulled it towards the side a bit, inspecting the bruises and cuts on his face. It would be hard to ignore the cleavage begging to spill out of that tight shirt she was wearing under her white coat. "You find beauty in imperfections. A rare thing in boys your age. Mei really knows how to pick them."

Mei just stood their with the compress on her face, watching them both. She probably should be doing something else, but she didn't trust either one of them. Both of them were too flirty with each other. She was jealous, as stupid as it was. She knew Komoku wouldn't do anything..but he was still attracted to her and that was enough for Mei.

Don't look, don't look, don't look.

Be a gentleman, don't loo-...aw, fuck. He looked. But at least he wasn't TRYING to look, kind of. Okay, he was looking, but the way she was leaning, it was impossible for him to see anything but boob.

"Well...I uh...dunno about all that." Komoku mused. "I just like Mei, really. She's pretty adorable when you knock her out of her comfort zone."

Megumi smiled at that, her hands moving from his chin to his chest. She was..not shy about touching people at all, especially boys. "Oh yeah? No wonder she's been loosening up lately. Because you must do that a lot. Like Jana." She saw the large, nasty looking bruise on his side. Probably a fracture...his breathing was stable. She moved over to get some bandages and something to clean all the cuts all over him.

"...That's one way to put it," Komoku grinned, that annoying, smug grin of his as he leaned back on his palms in thought. "Do I do that, Mei?"

"..In a way, I suppose." Mei answered, crossing her arms. Megumi laughed a bit...she could see the mischief in that grin.

"You have been. I see it when we train. There are some days where you're really confident, and I could probably guess why." Megumi responded as she started treating his wounds. She really had a mothers touch. Mei just scoffed and looked away.

"I'm...just getting used to your fighting style. I had the confidence today to fight in the shorts and tank top you always make me wear during training. Even though it was embarrassing having to take everything off." Megumi stopped what she was doing all of a sudden and a wide grin spread across her face.

"Mei...you really did that?"

"You taught her that?" Komoku said, brow raised. "...Well, anything you teach her to wear less clothes is okay by me," he grinned. "What was that for, anyway?"

"Well," Megumi said sheepishly as she resumed patching him up. "I told Mei that if she wore less clothes, she could focus on the feeling of her element more, thus making it stronger...I told her too much clothing could interfere with her technique...but..." It took everything she had not to laugh. She was a bad mother.

"But what." Mei's eyes narrowed. Why did she suddenly get a bad feeling? "It helped me with my fight against Kent. It worked well, mother."

"Oh yeah? That's great, Mei. But I was just kidding. I didn't actually think you'd strip during a middle of a fight. Good thing whoever you were fighting didn't take advantage of the opening."

Mei gasped as a horrified look came over her face, and she stared at the back of her mothers head. She almost couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Komoku laughed, even though it really hurt. It hurt a lot, but the expression on Mei's face? Priceless. So worth every unpleasant feeling of his ribs. Her mother was incredible, Komoku hoped his Mom was like that. If his Mom wasn't some skeezy bitch for leaving him and his sister alone.

"I did it for nothing?!" Mei's voice went so high it hurt to listen too. She was definitely mad.

"Not for nothing! You said it helped right? Then it did do something! Look what you've done Mei. Poor boy has fractured ribs, you can't make him laugh hard. But anyways, before you go off on me..I think it's still necessary. That confidence you felt, was because you shed all those clothes you hid behind. I wanted you to feel it, to feel your sexual appeal and confidence. It really does work to your advantage, you know. You would have never believed me...so I had to tell you something that would nudge you in the right direction."

Why did everyone feel this way? What was wrong with all the clothes she wore? This was the third time that someone had told her something similar about being confident in less clothes than what she wore. "I still can't believe this..." She mumbled as she put her hand over her face.

"She is right, ya know," Komoku grinned. "It's not about what you're wearing, it's about how much of it. What do you have to be so uncomfortable about? You're hot, you're the Commander of the DC, at your age? You're a fucking superhero in Turuga. You know how many people that me and my two goons have dragged in talking about how they'd kick your ass, but all they need is a glance at you and they practically shit their pants? You're making people feel safe, cause unlike those Kishi douchebags, you're actually seen doing something."

Mei took a deep breath and calmed down a bit. After getting over the initial anger and shame, she could...sort of see Komoku's point. "..I guess it wasn't so bad." She admitted after a while, folding her arms.

"Wow...you have her wrapped around your finger. She's usually stubborn about these things." Megumi smirked, very pleased with herself. "So, now that we know that fighting in less clothes isn't going to kill you, Mei...I want you to start dressing more freely. It's part of your training, so don't argue." Mei grimaced, realizing she couldn't say no. As much as she hated to admit it, her mother was teaching her some really good tricks. And she need to be her strongest when she faced that girl again.

"..Fine."

"I'll probably get it later," Komoku admitted, twitching a little when she started tending to his ribs. "That's okay though...I think she's lovely when she's focused and angry, really makes the teenage hormones kick in, ya know?"

Megumi laughed, though Mei's face went completely red. "She must be tough if she can handle you..." She purred. Oh yeah, she noticed the erection right from the get go. She could see things like that. "Don't go easy on her, she looks fragile but the truth is, she can take a lot of punishment."

"Mother!" This was too much. She wanted someone to save her. Anyone.

"Good to know," Komoku grinned in amusement. "Well, if you're done embarrassing the soul out of your daughter, Mrs. Wolfe. I should probably get back to work. No rest for the handsome, after all. You're not a bad nurse. It was nice meeting you." See? He could be nice to adults...when they were actually worth being nice too. Her mom had eyes like a hawk, didn't she? Kinda hot, actually...

Megumi cocked her head to the side. "Nonsense. You do need rest. At least for a day! Although I'd recommend a week at the very least. Mei, order him to stay home and rest." Megumi demanded.

Mei was still flustered, but she took a deep breath. "Komoku, you really ought to...take it easy. I don't want you overdoing it." She said softly as her fluster expression shifted into a worried one. If her mother said he needed to rest, then that's what he needed to do.

"Bah," Komoku muttered. "Trust me, I've walked Masami to school in worse. I'll be fine, don't hound me into a bed, or I'll go crazy." he said, moving to rise up. He was either telling the truth, or his pain tolerance was insane. But there was barely a flicker that anything was wrong in the first place when he moved. Oh, wait.

...He was pretty sure that walking didn't mean that he meet the ground face first, in fact. He was quite certain about that. Ugh.

Damn. The last two times he had to deal with this shit, it was Jana and Mei, now Daichi to that fucking list. Ugh.

"...So...maybe some rest couldn't hurt." He finally grunted in pain.

"See!" Megumi said in a told you so fashion as Mei hurried to his side and then helped him up and back to the bed. "Stay here, Komoku, at least until you get your strength back to walk..your pain tolerance is a blessing and a curse, you can't even tell how hurt you are." She badgered as she watched the two. She really couldn't help but smile at her daughter. The way she stared at Komoku in such a way..well she was really concerned about him. It was sweet. "..Mei, did any of your prisoners need medical attention?"

"Daichi," She muttered absentmindedly as she helped Komoku lay back. He was really in no condition to go anywhere. She was so wrapped up in her worry for him she didn't even notice when her mother took her first aid kit and left the two alone.

"Man..." Komoku groused, rubbing his head as he felt his vision start to return and get less blurry as he shifted unpleasantly. "I'm fine, Mei. I just need a few minutes, that's all." He was not a person for bed rest. To say the least, he was already looking grumpy and fidgety.

Mei stared down at him, sighing softly. He was so stubborn. Maybe she'd ask Masami how to handle him when he was this way. Because the only thing she could think of that would get him to stay in bed...well that was probably something someone with a cracked rib shouldn't do.

Mei still wasn't happy about her mother flirting with him. She was still relatively irritated now that she noticed just how many women found him attractive. Maybe he was rubbing off on her, but she suddenly wanted to make a public statement that they were together. Especially now that she knew they were boyfriend and girlfriend.

For now, she'd settle with leaning over and pressing her lips against his for a possessive, almost desperate kiss.
