Kenji chuckled. "While he's afraid of Krystal and she'll always be another big sister to him, she didn't grow up with him like Serenity did. So although he's missed them both, I think it was Serenity he missed the most. He'd never acted out the other times Krystal went back to the states. But the one time he does, it's the time Krystal took Serenity with her. I think that says a lot. But thank you for talking to him anyway Aaron."

Serenity walked into the dining room with Shingo just as the two men finished talking. "Well, three of my favorite guys all in one room together. I feel special." She giggled.
 
Serenity smiled back. "Hello to you too love. Miss me?" She then glanced to Shingo. "Go help Mom bring the food out."

Shingo nodded and headed into the kitchen to help Ikuko. It wasn't long before Shingo and Ikuko were coming out of the kitchen carrying the food and setting it in the middle of the table.

Serenity grinned when she saw. "My favorites Mom. Smells good as always."

Ikuko beamed. "Let's sit down and dig in everyone."
 
"Much better Lightning." Serenity smiled. She sat down with everyone else and was soon fixing her plate like her parents and brother. When everyone was finished eating, Serenity glanced at Aaron before looking to the Tsukinos. "Mom, Dad....Aaron and I have another announcement besides our engagement."

"What is it sweetheart?" Ikuko asked while Kenji remained silent next to her.

Shingo, already figuring out what the announcement was to be, wisely kept his mouth shut.
 
Serenity bit her lip after Aaron gave the news, nervous of what Ikuko and Kenji would say. She glanced at Shingo and could tell that Aaron had likely told him earlier.

"Congrats!" Shingo cheered earlier.

"Pay up Kenji." Ikuko smirked.

Kenji rolled his eyes and gave Ikuko money. "And here I was hoping your sister would've gotten pregnant first."
 
Serenity was actually shocked that the Tsukinos had bet on which of the twins would get pregnant first. She shook her head with a smile. "I'll let you tell her that tomorrow Dad. But thank you. We'll keep you posted and let you know the due date when we know." She looked to Lightning. "I think it's time we get going, don't you?"
 
Serenity nodded. "We should. Gives them a chance to get plenty of rest. Who knows how early Krys might decide to come by." She chuckled and looked to Ikuko. "Dinner was delicious Mom." She stood up and went to hug Ikuko and Kenji. She then went to ruffle Shingo's hair. "Stay out of trouble squirt."

"Don't be a stranger Serenity." Ikuko smiled.

"Same goes to you Aaron." Kenji nodded in his direction
 
Serenity waved as she led Aaron out the house to the car. Once they were in the car and had driven off, she glanced at Aaron. "Thanks again Lightning for talking to Shingo."
 
Serenity bit her lip. "I can't speak for Krys on that. But I can admit that he's right about me. I meant to...even had promised him I would. And I broke that promise. Can't blame him for getting mad."
 
Serenity raised an eyebrow at Aaron. "Is that the explanation you gave him on my behalf?" She shook her head with a smile. "While your attempt to explain away my 'neglect of duties' is admirable, it wouldn't have been the truth. I wasn't busy. It's not like Krys had me all over the place. I can understand why you might think she would. And she did try. But honestly, in the entire two months I was with her in Dallas, she got me to leave the house five times. The last being the day before we got kidnapped. "

Spencer woke to the smell of breakfast and trudged his way to the kitchen sleepily. "Morning."
 
Aaron chuckled. "I did actually tell him that. I also told him about the kidnapping, and the twins. At mension of the twins though, his tue changed."

Krystal smiled. "Morning sweetheart. Coffee is on tbe counter all made." She kissed him lightly.
 
Serenity giggled. "I knew the twins would work if nothing else did. Anyway, I promised him we wouldn't tell Krys and that's how it's to be." She then thought for a moment. "You profiled him, didn't you?"

Spencer kissed her back. "My two favorite things to have in the morning, coffee and you. Not necessarily in that order." He grinned as he grabbed his cup and sipped it.
 
"I really should've seen that coming. That you had a high chance of profiling one of them considering you were in agent mode pretty much the entire time." She grinned. "Well then, I guess since it was the great SSA Hotchner who got through to Shingo and not the soon to be brother-in-law Aaron, I guess I'll be rewarding Agent Hotchner tonight." She smirked as she pulled the car into the garage and parked it.

Spencer looked at her over his cup as he took another sip. "Part of me wants to ask can it wait until after we've said our vows. But in the long run, better for them to meet me before then while it's a guarantee that we won't have to reschedule cause of a case coming up."
 
Serenity smirked and undid hers. "Well that'll be our little secret then." She moved from her seat right over to straddle him. She kissed him and ran her fingers through his hair.


"Again I figured that much." Spencer chuckled as he finished his coffee.
