Shingo made a dismissive motion with his hand. The news about a niece and nephew hadn't sunk in just yet obviously.

Serenity had moved to wait by the bottom of the stairs, getting tired and needing a nap due to the pregnancy hormones.
 
"Sere....is pregnant?" He turned his head minutely to glance over his shoulder at Aaron.

"Getting a little tired love. Too much emotion I guess." Her voice sounded sleepy but he'd also be able to pick up that she'd been crying. "Everything alright up there?"
 
"Taking care of them?" Shingo asked as he slowly lowered his arms.

"My little brother's mad at me and I have no idea why. Can you blame me for crying?" She murmured. "I'll take a power nap in my room here. Wake me when you're ready to go?" She headed upstairs while she replied to him and from Shingo's room, Aaron would be able to hear the soft click of her door closing.
 
Aaron nodded. "Along with making sure krys eats. You know how anemic she gets. Poor thing fainted 3 times in the first 6 hours I met her. Not to mention the jealous black moon cousin of luna that was after krys."

Aaron heard the door. He replied. "Of course bunny. Just relax."
 
Shingo nodded in approval. It seemed now Aaron was actually getting through to Shingo. "Do...you travel often...for work?"

"Love you Lightning." She murmured before she fell asleep on her old bed
 
"Average time you're away on a case?" The concern for Sere's well-being was showing again in Shingo. "Longest time you've spent away?"
 
"Promise me, that no matter how little or how often that she calls me otherwise, that you'll find a way to make sure she calls me when you're away on a case?" He looked at Aaron hopefully. "At least then I know she'll be alright. She'll be lonely while you're gone."
 
"Thank you." Shingo sighed in relief and held out his hand to Aaron. "I'm sorry if I caused Sere any stress."
 
Shingo paled. "Aww. Come on! Krys doesn't need to know since you've already got me to agree to stop."
 
Shingo bit his lip in fear. "She might not though. Since it's already been taken care of."
 
Shingo and Aaron talked a while longer. An hour later, Ikuko called up to them, asking Aaron to come set the table for dinner and directing Shingo to wake Serenity. Shingo took the opportunity to apologize to Serenity and ask her not to tell Krys about his acting out. She agreed and hugged him tight while walking downstairs with him to the dining room.

While Shingo was getting Serenity, Kenji looked to Aaron. "So, how'd it go with your talk with Shingo?"
