Tesla nodded and left to talk to Bunko.

Kairi went back to filing her papers, Kohaku coming out with damp hair, toweling it dry.

After a few hours, Tesla came back covered in bruises but a goot wad of yen in his hand, "Tadaima..." He called

Kairi frowned when she saw what state Tesla was in and she moved over. "What happned?" She asked.

"Menos Grande." He answered, "Nothing I couldn't handle."

 

[Jikkah]

Kairi frowned. "But you're beat up.." She led him to a cot and sat him down, cleaning the small cuts gently.

"I'm really fine...I'm just a bit rusty..." Tesla answered, "I haven't fought a Menos Grande in a very long time.."

 

[Jikkah]

"You mean you used to fight them as practice?" Kairi looked up at him, seeming shocked.

Tesla nodded, "Adjucas hunt and kill Menos Grande all the time." He answered

"Ah..." She gently pushed his hair out of his eyes, frowning at the bump on his forehead. "Hm.." She examined it. "It might've caused a small concussion.."

"I feel fine.." He answered, frowning

"Hai, hai..." She said, cupping his cheek. "I just worry about you... You do all of the heavy work, I just wish I could help."

"I don't mind, Kairi.." He answered, "I did everything for Nnoitra...its more second nature now..."

"I know..." She kissed him softly. "But I'm not Nnoitra... And I want to help you if you need help.."

"You're helping me now.." He told her

Kairi smiled slightly. "I'm only doing as much as I can." She said softly.

"And I appreciate it...more than Nnoitra ever did." He stated

She pet his cheek with her thumb and kissed him lovingly. "I'm just glad you're okay now.. Why don't you rest a bit? You probably need it."

"I'll be ok..." He pulled her close, "I'm tougher than you give me credit for."

Kairi smiled. "Gomenasai." She said, leaning closer and kissing him.

Tesla kissed her back, arms wrapped around her waist

Kairi closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck, slowly moving to sit on his lap.

Tesla held her flush against him, deepening the kiss

Kairi allowed Tesla to deepen the kiss, cupping his cheek gently.
