Truly Hidden Pleasure (rwinrich & True Sinner)

Alex, being as old as he was, was a big fan of romance and intimacy. He didn't believe in the who one night thing and while this night had been spawned by lust for the old times and need, he still held her close to him and showed her the kind of romance she'd been missing out on. His hands stroked her skin in non-sexual areas like her arms and stomach while he planted a soft tender kiss to her shoulder and her neck. Upon hearing her questions though he simply pulled out of her with a groan and a shiver. He then let her turn to her other side so that she was facing him.

His hand was on hers stroking back and forth as he looked at her.

"To be honest I was sent to London by the Vampire council here in America. We heard rumor of a vampire who was killing needlessly and they sent me to handle the rogue. However when I arrived and saw some of the bodies, the bite looks to be vampire but the bodies are completely drained. As I'm sure you know, a vampire can take a maximum of two pints before they get physically ill and can not take any more. The mere scent of blood when you've had your fill is unappealing. So I don't think it's a vampire. I'm just having difficulty tracking down this killer. I came to the party because I was invited by some of the upper class humans and to be polite I attended the party. In that case, I am very happy that I chose to go."

Rowena had enjoyed romance once and since then she didn't generally feel any towards anyone, it was a part of her that had been hurt and would take some time to heal. Yet only if she confronted her problem, which she hadn't done even in all the centuries she had lived. She had felt the lust not just from herself but from him and honestly that is what she had figured it was. Feeling that kiss upon her shoulder and neck, it told her he wasn't seeing this as just lust anymore, it frightened her a little bit. When he pulled out it had her shudder from the loss and the wonderful feeling again.

She had known he wasn't there for no reason at all, so she had to ask him and now she understood it had to do with the stories she had been hearing of a vampire killing recklessly. At least he was being honest and telling her the truth of what had brought him to London.

"Yes, I've heard rumors of such but I figured that someone would be sent to take care of such. I'm not a part of such a council and that isn't part of my job. Honestly, I have no job, no real form of entertainment. I live amongst humans because I've refused to live among others. With how I've hidden it has worked for so long, no one knows I exist."

This all stemmed from what happened to her with that vampire she had actually loved. No one knew how much pain she still held over what happened.

Alex nodded as she explained what she'd been up to, or lack there of. He knew she must have had her own reasons for living the way she had and when she finished speaking he tested the waters a bit.

"The council that I work for could really use a mind like yours. They have a branch in London, which is how I'm able to be there. You should consider taking a look into it. You can be around others who are like you. Elves, demons, a few Lycan I believe and one very uppity Succubus."

He said with a chuckle letting her know that the Succubus had tried to woo him but given his age and the power he had, it hadn't worked in her favor. Succubus's were a fairly weak demon but relied on their seduction spells to win over the stronger foes. They don't take rejection well either. As he laid there he could tell that she also was shy towards romance of any kind so he kept to himself and just laid there. He was curious to know why, but at the same time, it really wasn't any of his business. He hadn't known her long enough to ask those questions.

Rowena hadn't wanted to actually be around her own kind, let alone vampires, especially thinking of coming across the one who had changed her life. It was one of the main reasons she had spent her time among humans alone.

"I think you should consider using one of the elves who is part of the council then. I'm not the best choice for such work by any means. I would rather not be among all of those immortals and such."

He had obviously had a chance encounter with the Succubus that didn't likely go anywhere, yet this didn't even make her laugh. Yes, he had given her pleasure she had missed for far too long but it obviously came at a price and she couldn't afford to loose herself again. Being that she was a true blooded high elf, she was actually a princess a long time ago. She was restricted in the contact of other immortals and yet she had fallen in love with a vampire, not a good choice as the vampire didn't feel the same. Everything had just spiraled once she had revealed her feelings and her father had found out. She had truly sworn off vampires and immortals, till now.

Alex nodded a bit and simply looked at the clock as he saw that it was getting close to sunrise anyways. Sitting up a bit he groaned and stretched a bit before dawning a pair of black leather pants much like the kind they wore long ago and then handed her something he'd been keeping ahold of. It was for a male but it would fit her decently enough. It was the outfit of a male Elf rogue. He'd worn it a long time ago when he needed to get through the woods quickly and silently. When she was dressed, even though it was for a male she still looked very nice in it.

Having her follow him he headed out to the patio right as the sun was starting to come up and motioned with his hand to the vast expanse of forest.

"Take as long as you like. I'm sure the trees will be happy to see you."

He said as he gave her free reign to just go exploring, to be herself and to enjoy a time long past. Smirking at her his eye began to glow as tribal markings formed on his cheeks right under his eyes and his skin got a bit more pale. The true form of a vampire. His body then began to blur as he took off at a dead sprint into the forest. The true form of a vampire actually had wings as well but they were of little to no use being in the forest.

Rowena got up, following his lead as she did need to actually get up and stretch as well. Her muscles were not used to such the strain they had been put through, although it was very welcomed and needed. When he handed her the outfit of a male elf rogue, she couldn't help but smile as it reminded her of the times she wore something very similar, just to get away from her father. It didn't fit her perfectly but it still gave her room to be able to move freely.

Then following him out onto the patio and watching as the sun rose up to reveal the most beautiful sight she had seen in such a long time. A forest just begging for her to come out to it. There was no way she could even stop herself from smiling. He had given her such a gift, just being her was enough.

Once she took off into the forest her skin changed as she no longer looked human, all of her markings appeared, on her face, arms, legs, even her stomach was filled with elegant graceful markings. When she finally reached the trees her skin changed to the mossy green that had made it easy for them to hide from humans for so long. Before the humans started to cut down all of their trees, basically cutting away at their hiding places. The trees even talked to her as she had sorely missed talking to more than just the one tree in her little garden. That's all the room she had.

All of what she was experiencing now was thanks to one vampire and as much as she was enjoying herself, she wasn't sure romance could truly come from this. To get past her problem from the past, she hadn't worked at it instead she had let it hide. Now she had to deal with it or lose another chance at something that could be true.

Alex, being a creature of the night and one to stick to the shadows simply watched her from the canopy of the trees, he'd come to enjoy the trees as much as an elf did. He learned what to listen for, what to be aware of and how to even talk to a tree. That took him nearly a century to learn. All of the trees in the forest were his friends now. He'd learned to live around them, listen to them and feel through them. It was a completely out of body experience he had to admit and it certainly gave him an idea of why Elves were so happy in the forest, even the older one's who looked too old to move, were like children in the forest.

As he sat on a branch and watched the female dance around he smirked a bit and ran his hand along the bark of the tree he was sitting in. He listened closely as the tree seemed just as happy she was there as she was. Something much more familiar. Even though the trees had never felt her presence till now, being an elf, she naturally had a connection with them. He simply pat the tree and moved onto another own to keep an eye on her and see what she was doing. However he stayed just far enough to give her the space she needed to fully enjoy the comfort and tranquility of the forest around her as well as the plant life and even the wild life.

Rowena was learning a lot from the trees about Alex, he talked to the trees as if he was an elf and the trees actually considered him as a true friend. This was rather surprising to her and yet it made her feel as if Alex understood what it was like to be an elf more than anyone she had ever met before. Not a one of these trees was neglected as she moved from one to the other, enjoying the joy that radiated from them and the life. They weren't afraid of being cut down, not here as no one dared do such a thing.

The smile upon her face was one that made her glow as she was truly in her element. She even explained to the trees the reason she was afraid to be around any immortals, even those of her own kind. One utterly demoralizing experience had actually set her away from her own family and other immortals. She had in essence been hiding from them, until she had been confronted by a vampire who had made her actually feel alive. Moving down to talk to the animals as she missed living around them as well. Her heart was filling with joy at this wonderful moment, she never truly wanted to leave all of this again.

Alex continued to watch her as she played and finally he moved to an area not far from her as he found a Hawk mother and her infant. The infant was just old enough to leave the nest now and Alex asked for permission to take the infant and give her as a gift. When he got permission he held the hawk in his hands and pointed out Rowena to the bird. Explaining at she was the one she would be serving now the hawk flew off and landed on a branch beside the elf to explain what Alex had done and what the hawk was now, to her. A companion. Something to keep her constantly linked to this forest.

Alex simply sat on the branch he was currently on and watched as she and the hawk interacted. Luckily for her, the hawk was female so if she could manage to find another hawk male, she'd be able to reproduce and have chicks. While Rowena and the Hawk got acquainted Alex simply relaxed back against the tree and took a small rest as he was starting to feel the tiresome affects of their night, she probably wasn't since Elves were far more active in the forest but forest life was something he trained himself to do. He got enjoyment out of it yes, but it didn't help to cure his fatigue.

Rowena was actually rather surprised that Alex had gifted her with such a wonderful companion. When the hawk had flown over and told her that Alex had wanted her to serve her, now becoming a companion. It was such a wonderful and rather touching gift. It was nice to be able to have something she could bring back home with her that she would then be able to talk with. Almost like having a friend or a sister that she could talk to about everything. She didn't rightly know if her sisters were still alive, nor her parents as she was truly in seclusion from them.

Moving along the trees as she heads over to Alex, she knew he wasn't likely to be as energetic as she was, he was a vampire after all and daytime did take it's toll on them. Once she was on a branch in the tree next to him, facing him with a smile on her face and her hawk landing on a branch above her.

"Thank you. I've received many gifts but this is one that I truly needed and love. I am surprised you are still even out here. You are likely tired from more than just the sun and it's affect on you."

She had actually said love, a word she hadn't used in such a long time. One she had been rather afraid of using again. It was very likely that Alex did want to know what had happened to her but he wasn't pressing her. Yet with all that he had done and shown her, it felt almost right to tell him.

"You remember me telling you that I slept with only one other vampire, besides you? Well, it's not something I enjoy thinking about, let alone talking about it but you do deserve to know the truth. He was my... love and he would tell me every night and day I saw him, that he loved me too. I spent so much time with him, my father did not approve, said it wouldn't end well and he was right. A few years later, he came to me and told me he was leaving me for another. That he had never loved me and he had just been using me, to get my blood. I wasn't truly the only one to experience such but not to this extent. That truly crushed me and my father didn't help any matters by trying to marry me off to another elf, a prince from a neighboring tribe. I left after that and never looked back. I don't know what happened to my family, nor do I know what happen to that vampire. I kept myself from being around immortals, scared I might see him again. The thing is, he doesn't know that I was pregnant with his child the night he abandoned me. I never did get to see what the baby would look like. That very night.... I lost it... they baby never had a chance. I guess I'm still hurting and I'm too scared to face him again. Not even my family knew about the baby. I haven't told anyone, till now."

The tears in her eyes had slipped down her cheeks unbidden as her voice was filled with such pain as she talked.

Alex sat there and listened to her for a moment and felt s growl bubbling up his throat but he stopped it. The growl wasn't directed for her either, it was for the vampire that had treated her so poorly, hell even in his youth he'd never been with a female strictly to take advantage of her. If they were only for blood, he informed them of that to begin with so feelings wouldn't be hurt. Still he couldn't really do anything about it now and with her feelings about immortals he could see it was going to be a long process of gaining her trust and keeping it. However he also had a job to do in tracking down this killer. So his time span on gaining her trust was going to be broken up into portions as he hunted.

After he found the killer, his orders were to return home so that he could handle things on his side of the globe so he'd have to leave London once more and while he could just port and visit her, he was wondering if it would be worth it in the end. Still, no harm in at least forming a friendship between them, but the sexual aspect would be severely dropped and he knew that. Since he wasn't fond of sex without some feelings behind it in some aspect he'd probably just go back to feeding off of humans and just focusing on hunting. After staying quiet for a while he nodded to her and rubbed his face.

"I can understand your feelings, and I am truly sorry for the way you were treated. Not all of us are like that poor excuse of a vampire...but you'll never know this if you don't give someone a chance."

He wasn't really sure what else to say in that aspect of her life so he just left it there then felt himself getting more and more tired.

"I'll be in the house. I need to get some rest before I take you back. There's still a good amount of forest for you to explore. You're new companion can show you around. There's also a very nice lake in the back."

He said as he nodded to her and ported back into his room. He changed the sheets to the bed and tossed the dirty ones in the hamper before hanging her dress on a hanger and climbing into his bed. Shutting the lights off and closing the blinds he took that little bit of time to catch up on some sleep while Rowena explored the rest of the woods and spoke to every living thing there. When she would find the lake, she'd find flowers that were thought to be extinct, a bed of pure white roses and several fish, as well as a sapling that was growing right next to the lake.

Rowena had told him everything, something she had never done with anyone else and yet it seemed like he was making up his own mind about them. He had done so much for her that she actually didn't feel any revulsion towards him at all, in reality she was growing rather fond of the him, despite him being a vampire.

She understood that he needed his rest, after all he was a vampire and being out in the sun wasn't truly healthy for him. She smiles and nods to him before he ports back into the house or mansion, whatever one wanted to call it. So, then she let her new companion guide her around as she got to know all of the wildlife and plant life there was. It was strange to feel so at home in a place that wasn't truly her home.

As she found the lake he was talking about, she made sure to be very careful with each plant as this was truly amazing to see plants that she had heard were no longer alive, yet here they were. Alex really was something to have all of this and allow her to even see it. Being out here had her mind whirling with thoughts. Could she ever trust a vampire again to allow herself to get into a relationship? She didn't believe her answer would be yes with anyone other than Alex, just something about him and it wasn't lust. She even managed to name her companion Kachina.

She spent the rest of her day just exploring the forest with Kachina and feeling as if this was where she was meant to be, that this was her home. Her thoughts did even drift to the concept of having a relationship with Alex. It had her realize she couldn't hold him responsible for what another of his kind did and so she was willing to try having a relationship with Alex. They had a lot of chemistry, that was obvious with the way they had reacted when they first met, now to see if it was more than that.

Alex awoke right as the sun was setting and felt much more relaxed. It may have also been for the fact that while he had changed his sheets, his pillows still smelled like Rowena, and it was a very comforting scent to wake to. Sighing a bit he took a shower to clean up then dressed in a suit much like the one he'd worn the night before, only instead of it being a red silk dress shirt, it was a navy blue. Opening his senses he pinpointed where Rowena was and took her dress with him as he ported to her location. Finding her sitting on a tree branch just relaxing and speaking to the life around her he held up her dress and smiled.

"As much as I'd love to let you continue, we have to be getting back. Your companion can go with you, after all, she is yours. However I need to be getting back to start looking for this vampire."

He said as he smiled at her and waited for her to finish up her conversation and get one last look around before she headed back home. He'd allow her to return to his home at any time that she wished simply because having an elf in his forest would actually aid the growth as well as the overall health and that was all he was trying to do. Keep this patch of forest healthy and happy.

Rowena looked down to see Alex holding her dress out to her and she knew without a doubt that this was time to head back home to London. Jumping down as she finished talking to all the life around her, she easily takes off the outfit he gave her and the puts her dress back on. She didn't have any problems with being naked in front of it, after all they had done it shouldn't embarrass her at all.

"I can't say for sure where this vampire would be, then again I don't know about it nearly as much as you do. Would you mind telling me the last location the murder was found?"

Then handing the outfit back to him as she had her own outfit at her home in London, which at this point didn't feel like as much of a home as this wonderful forest did. With a sigh, she raises the spell back on her body, giving her that human look again. Having Kachina on her shoulder as she looks at Alex.

"Maybe we could try to make this attraction we have for each other into something more. I'm willing to try."

Alex took the outfits she handed him and quickly ported it back to the house while she changed. He was back in front of her not a moment later as he'd just tossed it on his bed then ported back. When she asked about the vampire he shrugged as he thought over what he'd found so far.

"I don't really have much other than his hunting ground and the type of human he or she goes after. So I'll have to start in the lower district and see what I can find there. I'm sure if I offer enough coin, some human will remember seeing something. Humans are known for being nosy so I know someone saw something."

He said as he took her arm and was about to port her back when she mentioned being willing to see where their relationship took them. Looking at her for a moment that brought a small smile to his lips as he nodded.

"Sounds wonderful to me."

He said as he ported her back to her house, he knew where it was simply because he'd tapped into her mind and found where it was. As they took form in her main living room he looked around a bit. It was a simple home, fairly well kept in luxury but then again, having to appeal to the humans around her he could see why.

Rowena had been to the lower district a few times, hiding both her human identity and her true identity. He was right that those humans did seem to enjoy getting into each other's business, so she had to think of another way she could help him with this. He had sought her out in all essence to likely help get around, whether he knew it was her or not.

Just seeing his small smile when she told him they could see where this relationship goes, made her feel so very happy. He wanted to be in a relationship with her, that was obvious and it truly made her smile.

Yes, her house was in the current human style as she did her best to keep up with their newer and newer tastes. She had to blend in if she wanted them to see her as human. She actually only had two humans who took care of her house and they were completely trustworthy, heck they were paid very handsomely. One of them was seen moving past the door and heading upstairs with her arms full of sheets.

"I do have human servants but they won't reveal anything to anyone outside of here. I make it worth their while. Now when did you want to head down to the lower district? If you were thinking of going there right now, you might want to change your clothes first. I will have to do the same as well. They can be rather rough around the edges if you aren't careful, not that you couldn't handle yourself."

She was still so very attracted to him that she didn't want to move away from him, his very nearness felt wonderful.

Alex looked at her as she spoke about the lower district and was going to site regulations on her but figured it really wouldn't work since she wasn't part of the council or the soldiers under it. So, he just smiled and kissed her cheek softly.

"You really are adorable when you're focused. Just let me go home and change, I'll meet you at the entrance to the lower district in twenty minutes. I'd bring a blade with you, just in case."

He said as he gave her hand one quick kiss then ported away from her and headed home. Her new companion giggled in her mind and said that Alex was a real gentleman towards her. When Alex got home he changed into a pair of black leather pants and walking boots. He then changed into a loose black shirt that was untucked so that he could hide the Elven dagger that was on his belt. As he stood at the entrance to the lower district he opened his senses to the entire area and found three main sources that were not human.

Rowena really enjoyed the feel of his lips on her cheek and when he said she was adorable it had her smile. She nods her head as she knew better than to go down to the lower district unprotected. To then have him kiss her hand before leaving, she didn't know how to feel. It made her laugh when Kachina commented on how Alex treated her as she knew it was true.

Once he left, she went about getting herself ready and she had to leave Kachina home in the small garden where she had the few things she could bring from her home, original home.

When she arrived at the lower district, she walks up to Alex with a smile on her face. Her outfit was not something one would ever imagine her really wearing. A green long corset with tight black pants and a little half black jacket to cover up her shoulders. Her sword was inside her cane that she was using as she enjoyed this little yet rather portable sword.

Smiling, she kisses him on the cheek as she was rather happy to see him again and she had to wonder if he would like the outfit she had picked out.

Alex smiled as she gave him a kiss on his cheek and when she stepped back he took a moment to look her over as she stood there. When a vampire saw something that they really liked, usually when on their significant other, they growled a low deep growl which almost sounded like a purr, which was what he gave Rowena as he looked her over. He then walked over to her and smiled as he as he cupped her cheek with his hand as he growled once more as he got close to her neck and let the vibrations of his growl run along her skin.

"It's very cruel of you to dress like that with clothing that looks painted on your skin. However, duty calls."

He said as he pulled back and walked with her into the lower district. When they got into the heart of the district he caught the scent of a female vampire, but she was too young for the kind of killings and then he caught the scent of a female succubus who was just old enough to start really hunting humans.

"Feel that? The older of the two closest to us."

Rowena heard and then felt his growl vibrate down her neck as she knew for sure that he liked what she was wearing. Most of the women down in the lower district wore such tight clothing, it seemed to work the last time she came down here, no one disturbed her, truly.

"I know it's such a tease for you, maybe later we can have some alone time and you can peel it off of me."

Following him down into the lower district, she didn't really stray from him at all and yet she didn't need to stay so very close to him. She knew there were other immortals around and that was part of the reason she didn't come down here very often. Hearing what Alex was saying to her, she nods her head as she could feel it. That was a succubus for sure but could a succubus really be the cause of all these murders that looked like a vampire had done it?

"Do you want to try and see if she will go for you or would you rather me do that? Maybe she likes a female more than a male."

Alex looked at her a bit strangely and smirked a bit as he nodded.

"Sure, why don't you see if she likes females. Just keep you mind open to me and call if you need help."

He said as he couldn't help it if his mind shot into the gutter at her mentioning to go and try to get the attention of a female Succubus. As she walked into the Tavern that the succubus was in he knew that the succubus wouldn't pass up the chance of draining an elf. That was a lot more energy then any human could give, and he was right. The succubus took the bait and brought her to the Tavern room she'd rented.

Alex had to admit the Succubus was attractive, long fire red hair, canary yellow eyes and a figure that matched Rowena to the T. With her mind open to his, he was able to watch the Succubus through Rowena's eyes as the two of them got into the room and the Succubus shut the door.

Rowena wanted to do this as she knew for sure when it came to a succubus, an elf was going to really appeal in more ways than just how she looked but also her energy. She knew that if anything started happening that would truly jeopardize her health, Alex would come to the rescue. It was obvious he didn't just find her sexy but he also really cared about her. She just hoped that it was real this time.

Walking into the Tavern as she did the way a woman always seems to do, her hips swaying alluringly side to side. When she did get the attention from the succubus right away, she agreed to follow her into her room. She had no worries, Alex was connected to her mind and he would know if something was wrong.

"Well, it seems that someone is eager to get this started. I was wondering if you had happened to hear about the recent vampire killings."

She wasn't going to slow any of this down, she wanted to get right down to the heart of the matter as soon as possible.

Selene, the Succubus, looked at her for a moment as she was in the middle of removing her bodice. She then flashed over to her and pinned her to the bed with a hiss.

"Why are you asking Elf? Who are you?"

Alex was in the room in the blink of an eye and yanked the demoness off of Rowena. His eyes were glowing, fangs and claws bared and the amount of energy pouring through the room was mind blowing. Selene stopped fighting the moment she felt that energy and paled considerably. Alex was by far the strongest immortal she'd felt in centuries and the fact that he was holding her by the throat and baring some very long fangs her way was not a comforting feeling. She shook in his hold and held her hands up.

"I was only protecting myself. I've had another order member ask me the same things and they accused me of doing it. I don't drink blood...I drink energy."

Alex stared at her for a long moment then released his hold as his energy cooled down and his eyes dimmed.

"What other order member? What did they look like?"
"He had a long scar down the front of his face, and eyes as black as night."

Alex cursed, he knew who it was now. This would be an interesting night.

"When did you last see him?"
"Last week. He comes into the Tavern every Friday to have one of the girls, the bar maid."

Alex let the Succubus flash out of the room as he sat on the bed and rubbed his face. Tomorrow was Friday so he'd be having a chat with this order member.

"I don't want you coming along tomorrow. He's a dangerous vampire. You're older then him, as am I...but he's on the order for his savagery in combat."

Rowena didn't seem at all fazed when the succubus did pin her to the bed with a hiss, so she didn't quite understand why Alex came rushing into the room so fast. She hoped that it wasn't because he didn't believe she couldn't handle herself.

So, it seemed that they had someone else who was also looking around for the vampire rogue. Even hearing the description didn't tell her at all who it was. As long as it wasn't the vampire from her past, she would be fine.

Sitting up as she moves closer to Alex, seeing his reaction when she told him who it was that had also been asking questions. Yet when he told her she wasn't coming tomorrow, she wouldn't have it.

"Are you trying to tell me that I wouldn't be able to handle myself? I'm also smarter than you seem to have been. I knew the succubus wasn't going to do anything, she was as she said, trying to protect herself. I didn't give you any indication that I needed help. I can take care of myself. Don't treat me like some kind of porcelain doll that you can only take down when you want."

Her voice said that she was coming no matter what he said and he couldn't stop her. If he did leave without her, she would follow in her own way.

Alex looked at her for a moment then sighed a bit inwardly as he knew he wouldn't win this argument so he just nodded and held up his hands.

"It's not that I don't think you can defend yourself...you'll see what I mean when you meet him. He's a bit...off and he has no sight for a personal bubble."

He said as he tried to give her an idea of what she could expect when they met with the vampire tomorrow. He'd let her handle her own and he wouldn't get involved till she needed him to, however he knew that the chances of her slapping the hell out of the vampire were pretty high. However if she did slap him, it would trigger his fight or flight instincts and this vampire never ran from a fight. Oh yeah, tomorrow would be very interesting.
