Ross took the plates and glasses to the kitchen, making sure they were all properly cleaned and dried. With the change of clothes sitting near the couch he smiled as he made his way to the bedroom. Stripping down he slid under the covers and softly kissed her cheek before closing his eyes. "Night sweetie."
His sleep was peaceful and waking the next morning he slid from the bed, took a quick shower and changed into some fresh clothes. Placing his older ones into the bag he left it near the front door and began to work on the coffee and orange juice for breakfast, he felt refreshed; even more so than usual as he began to think of them enjoying a breakfast at work amongst other things.
She had woken to an empty bed, showering before she dressed, her clothes again tight but not too tight, just enough to tease. As she headed down the stairs she found she was smiling at the idea of working alongside Ross. Today would most likely bring two more cases in, both of which they would have to juggle. Still, she found the idea pleasant.
Ross smiled as he sipped his coffee, hers already on the table waiting for her as he gave her a soft kiss on the cheek when she came down. His mind going to the cases before them, not bad he thought and they should win both again. It was proving be very profitable for all concerned.
She smiled and sipped her drink. "Good." She had taken a while to think before she spoke. "Two cases are due to begin today, somehow we're going to need to balance them, you up for it?"
He listened to her words as he sipped his coffee, soon finishing it before nodding his head and pouring another cup giving himself time to gather thoughts. "Yes I believe I am."
Ross poured her another cup of coffee, smiling into her eyes as he softly spoke. "Little nervous again today but feel I should step up more and even first chair one."
He smiled and nodded to her words, soon finishing his coffee before standing and walking casually across to the sink. Washing and drying it before speaking. "We should leave soon."
Having walked to the front door and opening it, taking his bag with him he spoke. "I sure am, that court house will think we live there soon." He laughed softly.
He smiled and unlocked the car, throwing his bag in the boot before waiting for her to buckle up. The short drive to the court house seemed even less today as he found a better spot than yesterday. With a slight spring in his step he spoke. "Lets go make some more suckers broke."
Ross grinned at her words as they walked across the car park towards the large glass doors of the court house, opening them he smiled and laughed softly. "I can't wait until we go public."
She had smiled. "Down boy, we need to make a name for you before we can do that, otherwise I'll be just another cougar." She shrugged a little, smiling over at him. "Not that I'd mind but we would both be risking our jobs."
Ross smiled and nodded sagely to her words as they walked along the long wide tiled corridor, easily finding their court room for the day, softly speaking after seating himself. "I know, just love you that much."
