Meeting at the Outdoor Market (Closed to Ryanmo97 and notexactlyaverage)

Twirling a strand of hair around her fingers, Taylor cuddled in closer to Ryan. "I know we were talking about it earlier, and I think I already know the answer but I want to double check anyway..." Pausing, she considered how to phrase her question. "If at some point I got pregnant with your child, you would be okay with that, you wouldn't throw me out?" Taylor wasn't sure what had caused her to ask her question, she was nervous and wanted to be sure that if she did get pregnant she wouldn't be thrown out.

Ryan kissed her on the lips... "The day you become pregnant with my child it will be the happiest day of my life. I would never..." he kissed her, "never..." he kissed her again, "ever..." he kissed her a third time, "Throw you out. Your stuck with me, Taylor... for the rest of our lives..." He smiled.

Giggling as he kissed her again and again and again, Taylor pushed a stray strand of hair off his face before kissing him again. "Thank you..." she said softly, tucking herself into his side and smiling, eyelids dropping shut again. "Goodnight, Ryan..." she whispered. "I love you..."

"I love you, too..." said Ryan as he gave her a kiss on the forehead.

A few weeks later, Ryan and Taylor were again waiting guests. This time it was Taylor's Mom and her brother. Ryan was wearing a blue suit and tie, and a white button up shirt. Taylor was wearing a blue dress that reached to halfway between her ankles and her knees with a black belt around her waist, nude stockings, and black pumps with straps around her ankles. Ryan was very nervous... "Taylor... what if your mom doesn't approve of us?"

Grabbing Ryan's hand and pressing a quick kiss to his cheek, Taylor tried to calm her own nerves. "Ryan, it won't change how I feel about you. Everyone has an opinion and we don't all have the same opinion," pausing, she pushed her nervous energy to the back of her mind before continuing. "Remember, Samuel's going to be here too, and he's promised me that he'll do whatever he can to change my mother's mind if she rejects us. It's going to be alright..."

All Ryan wanted to hear was that it wouldn't change how she felt about him. He didn't know what he'd do without Taylor. He smiled, "Thank you... that's what I wanted to hear." Just then the doorbell rang... "That's them... Let's go..." Ryan and Taylor walked to the door hand in hand then he opened the door.

"Don't worry, I'm here for good now," Taylor joked, laughing. Still smiling as Ryan opened the door, Samuel was first inside. Pulling his sister into a tight hug, she was forced to drop Ryan's hand. Turning back to face her mother, she smiled again, hugging her. "I'm so glad you could come tonight..."

Ryan smiled as he watched Taylor hug her mother and her brother. Ryan walked up to Taylor's mother, "It's good to meet you.... Taylor has told me a lot about you..."

"You must be Ryan. Please, call me Elise..." Taylor's mother smiled warmly at Ryan. "I haven't heard much about you, I must say, only what Samuel has told me. From what I've heard you seem like a lovely gentleman," As Taylor took her mother through to the living room, Samuel appeared by Ryan's side. "Don't worry..." he said, "I've not said anything bad..."

Ryan smiled as Sam... "I Know..." He walked up to Elise, "Would you like a drink before Dinner? Taylor was telling me that she is making your favorite for dinner tonight."

"Oh, why that sounds lovely. It's been a while since I had a nice salmon dish. I think I must have to decline a drink though," Elise said as she sat in a small armchair across from Ryan.

Ryan nodded as he sat down, "So... Elise... I'm sure you have all kinds of questions for me..." He hoped he was making a good impression on Elise because he wanted her to be a part of his future children's lives

"I do..." Elise said, smiling warmly at Ryan. As Taylor wandered back through to the kitchen to finish dinner and Samuel sat down beside Ryan, Elise folded her hands in her lap. "So, tell me, Ryan, how did you and Taylor meet?"

Ryan thought back to the day that he and Taylor meet and smiled, "We met at the farmers market... We bumped into each other... It was love at first sight."

Smiling gently at Ryan, Elise spoke again. "I'm sure it was. You seem to be a lovely gentleman. You seem to do rather well for yourself, would you mind telling me what you do for a living?"

"Not at all," said Ryan, "I'm a retired stockbroker. I made quite a bit of money in the stock market knowing what would be a good investment. For example, your daughter's deli... I'm helping her expand and remodel her shop. She's got a good head for business, Elise."

"That she does..." Elise said, nodding. As the basic questions were asked, she eventually got down to the questions she came to ask. "So, you seem to be very fond of Taylor, is that likely to change in the future?"

Ryan shook his head, "No way... I plan on me and her growing very old together and giving you some grandchildren..." Ryan looked at Sam. Ryan hoped it was going well.

Sam nodded slightly at Ryan and smiled, indicating it was going well. "Well, you seem to be a lovely gentleman, I think I'll need to wait until dinner to ask anything else, I must have exhausted you with all those questions!" Elise laughed gently.

Ryan laughed, "Not at all Elise... I love your daughter very much and I know she loves you. I hope that we can have a good relationship..." He smiled. He could feel that she like him. Elise looked a lot like Taylor. Taylor looked beautiful now and he could tell that she was going to get even more beautiful in the future.

After a while of chatting and laughing, Taylor shouted from the kitchen that dinner was ready. Making their way through to the kitchen, the smell of freshly cooked salmon with vegetables filled the air. A salad bowl sat on the middle of the table and four plates were sat neatly around the table.

Ryan was enjoying himself with Sam and Elise as they were waiting for dinner. When Taylor said it was ready, Ryan lead them to the kitchen. He pulled out Elise's chair and pushed her up to the table. He did the same with Taylor's chair. "So what would you all like to drink?" He asked.

Elise and Taylor both thanked Ryan for pulling their seats out. "I'll just have some water please, if that's alright," Elise asked. Taylor nodded, indicating that she would like water too. "I'll just have the same if that's okay, Ryan," Sam said, laughing as they all asked for the same thing.

Ryan laughed as well, "Four waters it is then..." He returned with the water and sat down. Ryan started to fix his plate, he took a bite of his salmon. "Mmm.. Wonderful... Did you teach Taylor to be such a good cook Elise?"

Smiling, Elise shook her head. "No, no, Taylor here seems to have picked that up all by herself. I know I certainly never taught her to cook and I'm fairly certain her father didn't either. Call it a natural talent I suppose," she said as Taylor's cheeks began to turn red, clearly embarrassed by the way her mother spoke about her.
