He weaves through the hallways and eventually finds an empty hallway, to which he leans against a wall and slides down, eventually sitting. "Hey... Everything okay?"

Xavier wishes this was easier. Not the paperwork, he was picking up things he should've known, but dealing with the memories of that night. The screams. The dying people. Monica's tears flowing down his back, as he constantly worriedly about something coming behind him. It just didn't stop playing in the back of his mind.

Allison stops, staying standing. "I read your book." She says, deciding the direct approach was best. "You know the guy who started this, you were his test subject. What did he do to you?" She asks. "Why are you so afraid of it still? It's been years and you're fine now. At least as fine as anyone can be."

He froze for a moment, and looked at her. "H-how much did you read?" He asked, before looking down. He injected me with a girls blood, as well as some canine type DNA... And this is why..." He darted his eyes to look for cameras, and once clear, he closed his eyes as his body quickly became cloaked in the same dark aura as the first time they 'met' before quickly receding it. "Because the brass doesn't know I can still shift.."

Allison looked at him for a moment. "So you can still do that." She said, her voice a little shaken remembering what had happened then, before snapping out of it. "I read all of it, and I need to know. Are you planning on betraying MIST, or have you given up on that. More importantly, have you given up on being a human?"

"I..I don't know.." He sat there for a moment. "I wasn't planning on killing anyone... I just want to get out of there..." He spoke in choked tones, a guilt welling in his eyes. "I'm not sure If I'm human or not anymore. I suppose it doesn't really matter though, in reality, does it?"

Volke walks around the corner, approaching Allen. "Allen. Once a person reaches a certain level of power, he is a monster. However, that doesn't always mean he isn't human, too. We can be monsters, people, learners, teachers, preachers, hookers, warriors, protectors... anything and everything. To deny any piece of who you are is a sure road to insanity." She then pokes Allen in the head. "Stand up. You need a hug." (EDIT: happens after Bunny's post right below this one)

Allison stepped forward and slapped Allen in the face, backhanding him. "Of course it matters. Are you going to sit around or are you going to kill the summabitches that took everything from you?" Allison said, almost yelling. The force of her swing causing her hood to fall down, showing a firey glint in her left eye. "That's what it means to be human. Something hits you, you hit it back, harder. Now show me you are still human!"

Xavier put the paperwork down for a moment, to clear his head. But that only made the memories stronger.

He'd come to the hospital hoping to get some first aid. Monsters had wrecked his truck, so he'd ran. Monica was still unmoving on his back, the only sign of life her breathe and tears. He'd entered the hospital, only to see someone he didn't want to in the emergency room, when he got there. _Her_. The woman in red, or Eve as that cop, Aya, had called her. "Interesting. It seems she's resistant. And _you're_ in control. Fascinating." She waved a hand, and it morphed into a claw once more, frightening everyone around her. Xavier raised his gun, but far too slow to do anything. People changed into monsters or goo again before his very eyes, and he couldn't stop it. They came at him, too many for him to get them all before they got Monica. Something, anything...
He felt it for the first time then. A burning sensation in his eyes. And everything seeming to slow down. A mental trigger for the first time. Xavier _moved_. Shot after shot, dodging and running with Monica on his back, he moved faster than a human had any right to.
This is what she meant by in control. Whatever had caused them to change had changed him too. He just didn't lose his mind. Nausea rose in his mouth. Did those people still know, still sense everything? Monica shifted. It didn't matter if they did, they weren't in control anymore. Maybe it was a relief for them, when he killed them. Xavier didn't know. He did know that he had to, if Monica was going to live. And that mattered. All he had left of his brother was her, and he wasn't gonna lose her.

Xavier pulled himself out of the memories, and continued looking. He'd find the guys who backed Hans, and make them pay one way or another for what they fueled.

He roared and shifted, swinging at her, but stopped at the last second. His body just froze there, as if something in him broke. His hand fell to his side. "I screwed it up for me.. I'm fine being a monster... But... I dragged someone else into it... That's a different story. The kids in the photo? They're all dead because of me. All except the girl.... She became an NMC"

He just stared at the two, shaking a bit. "I hardly have the right to call myself human after what I did." He reverted once more, relaxing enough to let himself be touched, but still deeply upset. "I've put my family in their deathbed in one way or another.."

Volke raises her hand. "So did I. With my own hands, with my own gun, with the Training they gave me." She did not regret it like he did, but she wasn't going to tell him that.

"You're an assassin, killing is natural to you." He said bluntly, keeping his head down. "And Allison... You said I should accept my death when they deem it's time. As much as it hurts... You must have a reason to say so.."

Allison glared at Allen. "You think that you're the only one who lost something, you see THIS" She said, pointing at her scarred face. "This is a constant reminder of what I lost. When I was in the military, there was a girl I loved, more than anything. She was the one who really deserved the chance we were going to be given. The government agreed to try out female recruits to the marines. Unfortunately, one of these monsters attacked the base. It infected her, and gave her some strange power. She could cause things to explode simply by touching them. She rampaged through the base lost in her madness, and you know who had to stop her? I did. I shoved a grenade down the throat of a thing that had once been the only one I cared about in the world. I thought I'd get killed with her but I didn't. Instead I got this, and a modified version of her skill." At that Allison whips out a small firecracker, tosses it into the air, and it explodes with a loud snap. Her face is wracked in pain as she does. "I have a part of her in me some where, and I swear when I find who did this, I'm going to blow their head off. So don't whine about hurting others. You don't know the half of it."

Xavier wondered how Aya dealt with it. The fact that some of the NMCs they hunted had been human, that they could still be aware, trapped in a body that didn't respond to them. He dealt with it by remembering his brother, by remembering the only family he had left after the murders years ago, that started him on the path to being an FBI agent. When his and Malcolm's parents were killed, and they only had each other. Now he only had Monica. Xavier had killed his brother, and it still bothered him, but he wouldn't change it. Because then Monica would be dead.

He stared at her in disbelief as he looked at her, seeing her full face. For a moment, he saw Luna's face in hers and immediately crumpled to the ground, sobbing. "I-I'm sorry..I-I didn't want to kill them.. I know excuse... your brother.. our family... Everything... I'm so sorry.." He choked out, his mind temporarily shattered.

Allison looked down at Allen as he sobbed on the ground. She clicked her tongue softly, a disapproving sound and was going to turn, but then stopped. She knelt down and patted him on the shoulder, saying nothing but giving him a reassuring pat. Then she stood up and pulled up her hood.

He reached out for her wrist, and then pulled his hand back, knowing full well he deserved it and that she probably didn't want anything to do with him now, if she ever did.

Xavier sighed. He'd found something. Wasn't sure how good of a lead it was. But better than nothing. His brother would laugh at him being so unfocused after dedicating his life to being a FBI agent. If Xavier hadn't killed him. Where Xavier became a FBI agent, Malcolm became a priest. A curious contrast, since Xavier seemed to regularly shoot people. It weighed on Xavier how things would be if it'd been Malcolm instead of him that was gifted every now and then. Probably worse. It wasn't something he liked to think about. Made him seem better than his brother, when he was sure it was the other way around.

After a moment, something clicks in Allen's head and he tackles Allison, though is careful not to hurt her, spinning her around to face him when he pinned her.

Allison is startled by the tackle and is knocked down, letting out a loud grunt as the air is knocked out of her.

"Alright then. Say I want to stay 'Human.' How do you suggest I do that? Fighting for MIST and nothing else makes me merely a tool for them, not a human."

Xavier got up, done with looking. There was nothing else here. Nothing but memories and bad thoughts. As he exited, he noticed a faint scratch on the wall. Still here. From when he moved Monica to avoid a NMC, and she'd seen his eyes. His midnight eyes, she called them.
