Many pages are torn out, but the rest of it contains information on his specific strain and mutation, but then it quickly gets dark. Within it's pages is vast information about the building MIST works in, including structural weak points, gas filters, security mechanisms- as if he had built the building himself. It seemed to be a plan to take down the building so he could escape should he be right about MIST eventually wanting to kill him, but his escape procedure has been scribbled out- replaced with a simple- "She really thinks I should die?"

The final pages read like a diary. It seemed as though he was a normal kid before his parents left him. Finally, there was a shocking page.

"I met a doctor in genetics today. He said if I co-operated in an experiment, that he would find me a home, and I wouldn't have to steal anymore. I'm a bit scared, but I can't live like this forever"

Allison was disturbed by the book and set it down, closing it and leaning back. Her eyes looked distant and a little teared as she sat there. She seemed lost in thought, staring off into space.

He eventually came back, sighing. "There's not enough food on this dang plane..." He sat down in his chair, looking out the window. "Allison, any idea how to kill time?"

Allen notices his book is gone, and panics a little inside, but tries to remain calm on the outside, as to not scare or worry Monica.

Allison looked up, having pulled her hood back, and she almost looked on the verge of tears before blinking them back. "Monica found your book. You should take better care of it." She said as she handed it back to him. "I'd suggest finding a hoppy of some kind." She said, returning to her more business like demeanor and pulling her mechanical contraption out again.

Allen looked at her, a bit more relaxed, not realizing she had read it. "Thanks.. Hey.. are you alright?" His tone changed, concerned for her.

"I'm fine" She said, not looking up from her work. She had managed to blink back all of her tears and return back to her normal mood at this point.

(figure I should mention, Allison is working on a custom gun for herself. I have not figured out the specs yet, but it's part of her craft(mechanical) skill. I can make some checks periodically on it if you want.)

"Alright..." He looked back at the book and put it in the bag, leaning back. "Man.... Isn't there at least a food cart?"

Volke, wearing a black hoodie and a pair of blue jeans, walks up and flops in the seat across from Allen, kicking her carry-on haversack beneath her seat. For those of the MIST operatives who had seen her walk down the aisle, there was some slight confusion as to how she had gotten to the back again without passing them, changed clothes, and sat in an empty seat without getting busted.

At that Allison gave a short smile. "Well try asking this one about it. I bet she'll know where it is."

He thought for a moment. "I can wait.. I.. need to figure some stuff out, and I'll lose focus if I go looking for the cart. Hey Volke, how are you?"

Volke just gives him a thumbs up, then pulls a Monthly Firearms Magazine titled "Gunslinger Girl Monthly." The subtitle detailing the cover story says, "Guys Like Girls Who Bring Their Own Protection!"

"Sweet." He smiled, then stood up after a moment. "I'll be in the cargo bay.. It's.. easier for me to think down there..."

Volke speaks softly, but her voice carries to him still. "Don't cross the yellow line. It'll blow," she warns, never looking up from her magazine.

"I told you, you sneak in half the time yourself." Xavier comments from the paperwork pile.
The flight passes with ease, and Xavier finally gets the paperwork done. The plane lands 20 minutes after that.

"Dammit... Why did you wire it like that? We have a little one on board."

He gets off the plane fairly quickly. "Hotel rooms first, or business first?"

"Hotel Rooms. Business can wait until Monica's settled and can entertain herself. Plus it'll be safer for her." Xavier answers, while Monica pouts. "You guys do all the fun stuff without me!" She says.

"Now now, Monica... You know it's dangerous.. And remember, ice cream and clothes shopping if you behave." He promised her kindly.

Volke pulls out a postcard with what appears to be a Power Ranger like person posing on the front. Along the side there is some small print saying "Limited Edition!" She stares at it a moment, the shows it to Monica. "I heard... you like Super J."

"Yes! How'd you get ahold of it?!" Monica asks, a look of wonder on her face. Xavier just sighs, shaking his head in disbelief and a little jealousy. He wasn't sure how or why, but Volke had ended up on a TV Show. He/she acted as 'Super J', an everyday hero who got into various antics. Like literally patrolling for kittens to rescue from trees. But it was filmed live, and Volke would also do 'superhuman' feats. Like climb into burning buildings and pull people out. Or fight NMCs (on public TV!) while claiming they were some villain's monster. It was a spoof of Power Rangers, if he remembered right, and there were other characters on the show, people who'd gained 'Parasite Powers', as the abilities from Neo-Mitochondria were called, and used them for flashy effects and to help the main character. And Volke got away with it. He wasn't sure how his superiors let this happen, but the only answer he got was 'I cheated.'. It made more money then his job did, and Volke was essentially fighting NMCs in public. Oh well. One more secret to add to the list of things Volke kept hidden.

"Remember Monica, TV is fine, and 1 Movie a day, but your homework needs to be done." Xavier tells Monica, going over the old rule with her. "I know, Uncle X." She hugs him tightly. "Be safe, okay?" Monica says quietly, a little of the fear that she constantly hides showing up, as it always does when he leaves for field work. No matter how many times Xavier comes back, there's that slight fear in the back of her mind, that he'll leave her like Mom and her brother, Melvin, did. Killed by a NMC. She knows Xavier is skilled, and considered one of best at hunting NMCs, but it's still there. "As safe as I can be. I promise." Xavier answers, kneeling down and hugging her back.

Xavier gets up off his knees.
"Alright, the NMC sighting was in the sewers. A sewage worker saw a 'tall, hunched figure with two glowing red orbs' munching on what looked like a human leg, with pants and shoe still attached. It had malformed arms, and reverse-jointed legs according to the sewage worker. It was slowly heading deeper into the sewers. There have been slightly increased disappearances downtown, so there's probably more than one, since it's noticeable, but not too many. Let's stick to blending in gear for now, and pull out the heavier stuff once we've got a decent idea of where they're are. Any questions?" Xavier says to the group.
