He froze for a second, a bit red, though he quickly continues, laying down his second load. "Wh-what's that supposed to mean?"

He stops and gives Volmar a slab of meat from his bag, ruffling his ears a bit.

He smiles and continues with loading the supplies."almost done, then maybe I can rest a bit... I could use an actual bed.."

Ber'nia sees Volmar and pauses, watching him happily gnawing on the bone. She shivers a little and turns looks away. "I will never get used to seeing that." She mutters to herself, looking a little queasy.

Volmar eventually finishes, and quickly buries the bone. Once he's done that, he sits and wags his tail with a wolfish grin, following Balmung if Balmung leaves his sight.

Balmung stops what he's doing immediately, giving her water from his canteen. "Sorry, I should have known better."

"It's alright, just... not used to so much red..." She shakes her head but takes a drink from the canteen. "I can handle it, just not used to it yet. Not your fault."

He nodded and smiled softly, putting a hand on her head, right between the ears. "I figure they won't have as much veggies, salads, and the like on the trip, so I bought some extra just in case you run low. Just let me know okay? After all you have to take care of your own."
His voice was soft and pure, and genuine kindness and concern could be heard from it.

Ber'nia nodded, a little surprised at Balmung's gesture. Her ears were very sensitive, especially at the base, and he had his hand touching both of them. "Well, thank you." she said after a moment, then suddenly giving him a quick hug before bounding off to get back to work.

He blushed and smiled, picking up more boxes, having almost finished. loading all the supplies. After he was finished with his load, he turned to look at the wolf, noticing it's gaze. "Hm? What is it? Is there something I'm missing?"(Empathy check 18)

He nods and stretches finishing with the supplies and sitting down against a hall, closing his eyes a bit. "Man... we still have a while... now what?"

Ber'nia finished up her packing and went over to where Balmung was sitting, taking a seat next to him. "Well, what do we want to do? If we're stuck waiting might as well do something enjoyable."

"How about a rematch?" Ber'nia asked, smiling softly as if she knew something Balmung didn't.

He nodded and stood up. "Armed or not?" He asked as held out a hand to her.

"Un." Ber'nia responded. "Let's go somewhere else so we don't interrupt people who might be working still." She suggested as she accepted Balmung's hand, pulling herself up.

He looked around a bit, figuring she was probably right. "Alright, lead the way, Ber'nia"

Ber'nia looked around the town for a bit until she found an empty stable with straw on the floor. "Will here work? It's out of the way and the landing will be soft." She said, the last with a bit of a giggle.

Balmung looked around, making sure the barn was free of tools. Seeing the area was completely clear, aside from the hay, he nodded. "Safe enough." He stated simply and started to peel off his armor once more. "It's unfair if you don't have any armor and I do."

Ber'nia nodded as Balmung took his armor off. She waited at one end of the hay strewn floor, standing in a more closed and tighter stance then last time. A silly grin on her face as her eyes followed Balmung.

Balmung took a deep breath and closed his eyes, relaxing his muscles and getting into a loose, but maneuverable, stance. (Combat expertise feat- 5 Base attack to AC) "Ready when you are"

Ber'nia took a step forward into Balmung's reach and then swung her right fist at him, stopping before it hit and darting up with her left to grab his arm.
