Beauty and the Beast (Kolath and Candira)

The prince and his team moved as quickly as they could hunting their prey. They never realized just how deep into the woods they soldiers had gone after becoming feral. It was nearly two days before they found their lair. While they were in their beast forms they found that it had itâ??s advantages when tracking because of heightened smell and sight but they could easily lose their weapons in the strange hands.

The group slowly stalked around the lair finding that there were fewer of the soldierâ??s then they had thought. It seemed that there were many power struggles going on constantly and often members of the pack got killed. Having faced one of the pack on his own Lionel knew just what to expect and knew that his men could handle it.

It was two days later that he and his men came back, nearly having been gone four days all together since they had been gone. The remaining guards came in carrying their few dead. Their injuries were many but few life threatening, Lionel was one of the last to come in watching for anything that might have followed them. Finally he crossed the drawbridge and it was raised with a loud boom locking them back in away from dangers outside. It was late in the evening so every one in the castle and those that just came in were without cloaks.

Belle spent her time worried sick for her prince and his men. She worked diligently to aid the members of the caravans that had been injured. In four days, many were well enough again to walk. Without court, she slept less and less during the day, and even less at night. The servants had to force her to lie down. Little did they know that she dreamt of those horrible beasts overtaking her lover in battle. The surgeon did his best to aid her in finding a peaceful slumber, but all he could do was lock her in sleep with those horrible nightmares.

It was late at night when the servants informed Lady Isabelle of the return of the men. She told them to rouse the other women of the court and the surgeon if he was not already there, and quickly donned a silk robe and some soft slippers. She left her hair down, but quickly combed it. Practically taking the stairs at a run, the beautiful noblewoman rushed to meet the convoy. She aided as many men to a bed as possible and assigned different women to them, asking them what they needed, how they'd fared in their mission, and about Lionel. She only got bits and pieces, but she found that her prince was still alive and that the beasts, as far as anyone could tell, had been vanquished...however there had been a loss of life.

She had tears in her eyes as she saw the brave men lain down on the beds. She sent a few servants to clean their faces and treat what wounds they could. They deserved to at least look respectable...And then she heard the boom of the drawbridge being locked in. The sleepy brunette finally caught sight of him and practically ran to him, the tears back in her eyes. "Lionel!" She practically leaped into his arms, embracing him tightly. "You're back!"

Lionel sighed as the drawbridge boomed shut locking the horrors of the past two days outside. It was true they had finished off all the beasts they could find but there were still those that had been scattered when they had attacked. Most to the beasts had charged them which is what Lionel had expected and was ready for it. in the first few moments of the battle the beasts numbers had been cut in half most of them impaled on spears and almost no loss of life in the guards ranks. It was the remaining battle the cost lives.

Lionel turned at the sound of his name and his heart soared when he saw Isabelle. He wrapped his arms around her and swung her around once in his arms. It felt so good to have her there again. He forgot totally about anything else around them, and as he pulled back a little from the hug he leaned in and kissed her deeply. His hand slipped behind her neck and around her waist pulling her closer into the kiss, into which he poured all the stress he had been feeling as well as all the love he felt for her in this exact moment.

She smiled as he wrapped his arms around her and giggled just a little as he swung her around in circles. For the first time in days, she felt lighter than air. Tear-filled blue eyes smiled up at him when he pulled away from the hug just a little. They closed as he kissed her so deeply. She could feel his fear and stress melting away as he kissed her, and she could feel his relief and love as well. Her hands clasped behind his head and she pulled him closer, kissing him back, letting him feel the anxiety and sleepless nights, her passion, and her love as well. His hand held her head in place, not that she planned on pulling away from him, and his arm around her waist gave her comfort as well.

After a few moments had passed, a soft round of applause began and she blushed, realizing that everyone from the caravan--her father included--and the soldiers and servants were watching them. Her eyes opened and she slowly pulled just a little away from him, looking up into his eyes. "I'm so glad you're safe. I've missed you so much. Are you hurt?" she asked, concern vivid in her expression.

He blushed slightly at the applause that was coming because of their display. He smiled his hand coming up and brushing her cheek lightly smiling and looking into her eyes. â??Iâ??m fine Belle, and I missed you just as much if not more.â? He kissed her again for a moment before once more whispering against her lips. â??I think that your father knows about our feelings now, seeing as he saw that display of emotion we just had here.â? he couldnâ??t help but smirk a little roguishly at her.

"Considering how much sleep I lost when you were away, he'd have to be quite a fool not to," she said, looking back into his eyes. Her relief at finding that he was, indeed fine, was apparent and she leaned against him, holding him close. "I'm so glad you're alright. Do you need anything?" she asked looking up at him again. She wanted to be useful and she tried not to fawn over him, but it was hard to do. Belle had always been a compassionate woman, but she was deeply in love with Lionel and she didn't really care who knew it anymore. After all, he had accepted her even after he'd known that she was lesser. After knowing that she had been raped. He'd even saved her life and gone out of his way to make her feel at home with him.

Nel had watched his daughter take care of wounded men and women for four days, only lighting up when she saw that they were doing well. She'd been relieved to find that he was safe, and she had paid special attention to him during her seemingly ceaseless visits to the injured. But today, he saw his little girl as a woman. A tired, worry-worn woman who had finally found relief in the arms of their prince! He could not have hoped for a better match than this, and had secretly hoped that they would come to love one another. But as he watched, he felt a small pang of jealousy, and a tug at his heart telling him that he was slowly losing the young girl he'd always taken care of. So it was with mixed emotions that he joined in on the applause for the two of them and smiled on. Despite his misgivings, he knew his daughter would be in good hands.

Lionel sighed and held her close kissing her hands softly as he turned them both to the group of people. He needed to speak to Nel and let him know officially his intent toward Belle. â??No my love, I am fine , the only thing I need is in my arms right now.â? As they came over to Nel Lionel stopped and bowed to the father of the one that he loved. â??Forgive me sir, I didnâ??t make my intentions known to you before hand, I would have had you been here.â?

------

Nel smiled tears in his eyes as he reached over taking Lionelâ??s hand, â??You are forgiven as long as you promise to take care of my little girl.â? At that Nel wrapped his arms around Belle holding his pride and joy closely. â??He is a fine man my girl. You couldnâ??t have picked a finer one.â?

Belle wasn't quite used to such flattery, though she supposed she ought to be. Lionel was constantly complimenting her, and he seemed to think the world of her, despite the fact that he didn't seem to think much of himself. Her blush disappeared as quickly as it had arrived, her lips curving into a sweet smile. She walked with him to her father and happily put her arms around him when he pulled her close, openly voicing his approval of the match. The beautiful girl let the two of them speak, glad that things were working out.

Nel kissed his daughter's head and smiled at the prince in question. "Well then, I think celebrations are in order, yes? Why don't the two of you plan a little something to celebrate your home-coming? From what I can tell, things are being handled here. And some of us from the caravan are well enough to help out as well. I'm sure no one would mind."

Lionel smiled and slipped his arm around Belleâ??s waist. â??I think you father is right Belle, come with me.â? He slowly started to lead her away from the group of people wanting to be alone with her. his arm around her waist didnâ??t leave her a choice but if she pulled back away from him too much he would let her go. He would never force her to do anything she didnâ??t want, not after that first time he was with her. however right now he wanted nothing more than to be alone with his love and talk over everything that had happened.

Belle smiled at her father and kissed his cheek before they left. "Take care of everyone," she said softly, before walking with her beloved prince. She leaned a bit against him, the weight of being without him for the past few days slowly lifting from her shoulders so that she could finally get enough peace for some rest. Just being with him put her at ease, and talking with him would put her even more at ease. She let him guide her to a quiet, private place and she kissed him again. "I'm so glad you're safe. You have no idea how worried I was," she said, keeping him close. "Tell me about what happened to you?" she asked, putting her hands on his cheeks.

He smiled and brought his hands up to hers brushing them off his cheeks down to where he could kiss her finger tips lightly, smiling at her. â??It was a tough battle but it needed to be done, Iâ??m just glad that no one was hurt in the caravan.â? He led her to where they could both sit as he lowered her down next to him he cuddled her close against his chest. After a short time he had told her everything that had happened since he had left her those four days ago. He sighed deeply leaning back against the wall, feeling totally drained having to relive the experience as he told her. He kissed her hair lightly, â??Belle, do you want to restart our week that we were going to take to get to know each other? I mean four days of it have been wasted with me being gone.â?

She was the perfect audience as he told his story. She gasped and reacted at all the right times and cuddled closer to him when he needed her to. By the time he was finished telling her all that had happened, Bell could tell that he was exhausted. She smiled and happily stayed close to him, holding him almost protectively as he kissed her head. The question caught her off guard. Their little agreement had all but slipped her mind until just this moment.

"I love you," she said with a kiss. "And the days you spent away from me were not wasted. You were protecting your people. And that tells me a lot about you as a man and as a ruler. You're already much better than you were when you came here. I can tell." She looked up into his eyes and gently rubbed his shoulders. "I think we should start again, but not because you wasted time. Because I want to get to know you better." She smiled and kissed his lips softly, staying very close. "But I'm not sure I should leave you alone."

He smiled and brushed his hand over her cheek lightly before standing and taking her hands. â??Come, I am tired and I donâ??t want to be alone.â? He slowly led her toward his wing of the castle his arm around her waist holding her close. He would often stop and kiss her just standing in the middle of the hallway or with her lightly pressed against the wall. he loved being close to her and touching her, but above all that he found that the talks they were enjoying to be his greatest thrill. As they walked they talked about everything often covering things they talked about before but still enjoyed talking about it. soon enough they were in his wing of the castle, standing outside the door to his room. He leaned back against the door looking at her his hand on the handle. â??Belle, will you stay with me tonight?â?

She walked with him, speaking with him about so many things. Belle loved talking to him about all sorts of things and learning more about him. Her heart would flutter when he stopped walking and pulled her close to kiss her once more. She would always kiss him back, blushing softly--even more so when she was pressed lightly against the wall. She followed after him without question and felt her heart speed up in her chest as he asked her that one, very complicated question.

Smiling, the beautiful girl put her hand over his and kissed his lips softly, pressed against him. "Of course, Lionel. Whatever you want." She knew he was tired, and she was as well. She didn't want him to have to be alone, despite their deal. Besides, would it really be so bad if she gave him a little more of what he wanted?

As Belle agreed to join him for the night, Lionel couldnâ??t help but feel his animalistic instincts rising up in hunger for her. he led her in and then motioned to a changing screen, â??If you would like I can send a servant to get your night clothes.â? His mind was racing trying to hold down the instinct to just take her to the bed and mate with her through out the night. He knew that if he did it right there was a chance that she would even agree to it so he wouldnâ??t be raping her not again. He shook his head trying to clear such thoughts from it. the last thing he wanted to do was to go back on his word and seduce her into his bed. He could already tell this was going to be a long night.

She chuckled and shook her head, opening the robe she wore. "There's no need for that. I was trying to get some sleep before you arrived. I kept having the most terrible nightmares..." Belle shook her head and smiled. "In any case, I'm perfectly fine, and ready for bed. I'll gladly wait for you though." She smiled and closed the robe again, not sure if he had any reaction the the clothing she wore. It was a long nightgown with a slit to her knee on either side, silken and deep blue. It hugged her nicely. But she wasn't quite sure she should have shown him anything. So she blushed softly and turned away, waiting for him.

He couldnâ??t help but enjoy the view of her body in that form fitting night gown. His animal instincts kicking in wanting her badly wanting nothing more than to take her to bed. He turned around and nodded, â??Good, that saves someone from coming up from the injured.â? It was weak but his mind wasnâ??t thinking clearly. He stepped behind the screen and tried to focus on something other than her. He quickly changed into something more comfortable and cleaner considering he had been wearing the same clothes for four days. When he came back out from behind the screen he was in a pair of soft leather pants that were loose around his legs, and a loose nightshirt. He normally would sleep without a shirt but with her there tonight he thought it best to sleep with one.

She nodded and turned around when she heard his footsteps coming back from behind the screen. She smiled and kissed his cheek. "You look just as tired as I feel," she said, coming to him to take his hands. "Let's get some sleep," she said with a smile. That said she came to his side and let him lead her to his bed.

He stepped behind her after leading her to the bed and lightly kissed her neck. His hands brushed over her shoulders and slowly let her robe fall from her body. his hands rubbed over her arms and down her hips softly loving the feel of the soft fabric with only her body underneath it. â??Mmmm yes lets get to bed.â? He slowly moved into bed and pulled her down on top of him looking into her eyes before kissing her deeply.

She shivered a little as he stopped her and removed her robe, his lips nipping at her neck. She shivered and let him run his hands over her body, her heart beating fast. It wasn't every man who would protect his people like he had and ask for so little in return, so she let him indulge in feeling her body like this. She blushed softly and followed him into bed, her blue eyes staring back into his before she kissed him back, half of her resting on his chest and the other half on his bed. She was sure that this was going to lead to something more than she had expected. After a few moments, she smiled at him and pulled away. "Good night, Lionel." She smiled and rested on his chest, closing her eyes as she trusted her mind and body to him.

It was at that moment that he was about to lose control that she stopped them. His mind warred with itself. half of his being wanted nothing more then to force her down to the bed and take her again reminding her of the bitch that she was to him. however the other half wanted nothing more then what she was showing him. this trust was something he never thought he would have.

Outside in the garden the heart repaired itself, as the conditions were being met for the curse to be lifted, she trusted himâ?¦but would he betray that trust. The largest crack still had to be fixed.

Lionel held her close his hand brushing through her hair kissing it softly. His member was hard and thick ready to go under his loose pants. His body begged to be let to take what it wanted. The beast in him started to push its way back out. It would have her and there was nothing that he could do to stop it. his hands started to change claws slowly extending out. The beast would have her.

His mind rebelled in that instant the last one that would save her from being raped by him yet again. He grabbed the beast in him by the throat pulling back hard. â??No, I love her and will never hurt her again, and if you canâ??t stop yourself then I will!â? he pulled back hard sending the two of them plummeting down into the depths of his mind.

The crack on the heart filled in and the heart for a moment shone brightly a wave of light passing over the castle removing the curse from all those in the castle because the prince had conquered his inner beast and he and Belle both slept the night through in each otherâ??s arms.

Belle slept peacefully and hugged him close that night. She was unaware of the sweet gesture he made when he kissed her hair and kept her close. She hardly moved an inch as the night went on. And when Lionel defeated the inner beast, she was visited by the woman of the statue in the garden. She was just as lovely and picturesque as Belle had believed her to be, and the two of them looked very much a like.

The former queen guided Belle through a lush garden to the center in her dream. There, she told her everything. "My child...you are my reincarnation. My blood is within you. It is because of you that the prince was able to overcome his curse. I had to teach him that he must fight the urges in him that would drive him to the side of evil. He was a wonderful man, but very wounded. He knew little of kindness or trust when he came to me. When I showed him both, he took advantage of it and I died at his hands. With my dying breath, I cursed him to teach him a lesson he desperately needed to learn."

And that was when she revealed the reason the prince never came to her during the day and why he held court at night.

Lionel slept better than he had in a long time. For the first time in years he was at peace inside his mind. No longer any fighting for the control over his body, his entire being was able to relax and having her in his arms helped all the more.

Slowly he woke as day came, feeling her still there. He didnâ??t want to move and so just laid there holding her his eyes just open looking up at the ceiling. He could feel that he was different could feel that daylight no longer held any fear of being exposed for himâ?¦now he could be with her any time he wanted.

The queen had thought it best to never reveal to Belle the truth about her first rape. She would leave that to Lionel, if he ever thought the young girl was ready. So it was that the sweet woman in his arms awakened enlightened. She took a deep breath and smiled as she saw him. She was so comfy that it was hard to convince herself to move. Still, Belle managed to say, "Good morning," lean up and kiss his lips sweetly. "Did you sleep well?"

Lionel smiled looking down into Belleâ??s beautiful face. his hand brushed over her cheek and he smiled softly leaning down kissing her softly. â??Better then I have in years, I think that it was the company that I kept last night.â? His other hand brushed down her back and down over her hips lightly, enjoying the silky texture of her skin under the night dress she had on.
