Beauty and the Beast (Kolath and Candira)

His arm slipped around her shoulders holding her close letting her snuggle in. he smiled and kissed her neck his hand rubbing over her arm for a long moment just enjoying her closeness. He reached over and poured them both a glass of wine from the low table. â??Well how do I answer that.â? He thought for a moment, â??in my land, there is little courting. Normally the parents make the marriage arrangements without talking to their children about it.â? he sighed nuzzling her neck, â??It makes it so that the most beautiful girls go to the most rich and affluent families, rather than being with the ones they love.â?

She smiled and leaned against him, snuggling close to him. Belle took in the new information and decided after a moment that she liked the system of the queen much better. When she said as much, she looked up at him and smiled softly. "Do you think you would have found me under your system?" she asked, looking up at him.

He frowned a little thinking it over and then slightly shaking his head. â??I donâ??t think so. You are by far the most beautiful woman I have ever seen or ever will see. However your father is considered slightly mad by many. I can see how they would think that but I also understand the way he thinks. However that would make it hard for my father to consider you despite how beautiful you are.â? He kisses her deeply his hand brushing her cheek. â??So I must agree I like your system better as well.â?

She smiled at his compliment, enjoying his kiss and the way he touched her. Whenever he brushed his hand over her cheek she felt so precious to him. Belle was very glad that he had found her. "I know my father is a bit...eager to share his every idea, but I am glad you gave him a chance. He always has the best interest of others in mind." She brushed some of his dark hair out of his face and smiled. "Is there anything else that's different?" she asked, leaning her head on his shoulder.

He sighed thinking about it more the whole process making him shiver a little. â??Well there is no time to get to know the person you are to marry, when the terms are settled between the fatherâ??s the two young people are married. They might just meet each other at the altar.â? He kissed her hair lightly his hand stroking down her back holding her close. â??Another reason I like your set up better.â?

"Well, at least you won't have to worry about it any longer." She smiled and kissed his lips softly, glad that he was getting to know her now as well. "I hope the ceremony is at least nice," she said as an afterthought. Shrugging, she reached for their wine and handed him a glass. "To a much less closed marriage system," she said with a smile.

He smiled and clinked glasses with her before taking a sip himself. â??Indeed.â? He thought for a moment more before kissing her neck. â??It is a nice ceremony, normally but it is all show with no love behind it.â? he snuggled close to her kissing and nibbling on her neck and earlobe. â??I would much rather have a simple wedding with love then one that goes down in history without love.â?

Belle set her glass down before he leaned in to kiss and nibble at her. "I would as well," she said, holding him to her, her fingers running through his dark hair. Smiling, she kissed his head and let him stay put.

His lips continued to nibble at her neck and then moved to her throat his hands rubbing over her sides and up over her corseted breasts. He loved touching her and it seemed when ever he got the chance he took it. his hand rubbed over her full firm breast rubbing softly as the other held her close his lips on her neck sucking and nibbling on her pulse.

Belle blushed heavily as he kissed her, clinging to his form. She held him tightly to her and moaned softly as he rubbed her breasts, his lips seeking her neck. She shivered and clutched his shoulder. "L-Lionel," she said softly, unsure of what had gotten into him. Not to say she wasn't enjoying it, of course. Still, she couldn't help but feel just a little embarrassed at the fact that anyone could walk in and see them together like this.

Almost no one would come to the library except the servants that made sure they had what they needed. However they had brought the food and knew that the couple wanted to be alone had left them such. His hands rubbed softly as he nibbled more kissing around to her lips and looking into her eyes. He panted softly and kissed her lips deeply. â??Iâ??m sorry, just when I start touching you its hard to stop Belle.â?

Belle moaned softly as he let his hands and lips roam. It felt far too good to deny him. "It's alright," she said softly. "I...I'm just not used to it," she said softly, still blushing. "It feels good, but...there will be time enough for this in four days, my love." She smiled and kissed his lips softly. "I'm so glad to know that you love me...but perhaps you'll find more reasons to love me before the day is done." She smiled and hugged him close.

He smiled and pulled back a little letting her have her space but still being right there by her to wrap his arm around her and hold her close. He sighed deeply and nuzzled her hair before reaching for some of the fruit they had before them to keep their strength up. â??I suggest we eat and then see about getting back to the task at hand so I can keep my hands to myself.â?

She smiled. "You're a good man, Lionel." She kissed him one more time and then turned her attention to the food that had been brought for them, happily munching on some grapes. "Would you like to know more about me, my love? All you need do is ask and I'll be happy to tell you."

He smiled and leaned back eating a pear that had been brought. â??I donâ??t know, it seems that I know a lot about you already. Though one thing seems to be missing, where is your mother?â? he was assuming that she didnâ??t want to live in a spooky old castle with her husband and daughter not thinking of other options that could be there.

"My mother?" she asked, looking up at him. She hadn't been expecting him to ask her about her mother. Then again, most people who knew her knew her knew about her mother already. She smiled softly and kissed him. "My mother is dead, Lionel. She died when I was young from a terrible sickness. But she taught me as much as she could in that time." She smiled and ran her fingers through his hair.

He froze as she told him that her mother was dead. His heart ached for her hearing some pain still there though it was totally understandable. He brushed his hand over her hair and down to her neck and over her cheek. “I’m sorry Belle, that was insensitive of me I should have thought that question through more.” He kissed her softly holding her close looking into her eyes worried about her but sure she was strong enough.

She smiled, glad for his sensitiveness, and then kissed his lips softly. "You're sweet to worry for me. It's a sad thing to think of, but it's quite alright. There's no way you could have known such a thing about me without asking. I'm not upset with you," she said softly. She looked up into his eyes. "I don't mind talking about it now."

He smiled kissing her back his hand brushing over her cheek. “That’s good. But I think we should be getting back to our work here. unless you have something else you would like to be doing at this moment?” he looked into her eyes, not meaning what he had said to come off so suggestive.

She chuckled at the double meaning she spied in his words and kissed his hand softly. "I would love to eat a few more pieces of fruit. But I suppose there's no reason I can't do that while I work." She smiled and took a sip of her wine before finishing off the little bunch of grapes she'd chosen before. "I wish I could work with you like this more often," she said with a smile.

He smiled and slipped off the couch standing in front of her and lifting the platter of fruit to carry over to the table they were working off of. “I plan to be able to spend every moment I can with you Belle so that you might even get sick of my presence.” He helped her stand before taking the wine and platter over to their work table laying them out there.

She laughed and got up with his help, smoothing out her crimson dress. "Well I'm glad to know that. But I feel like I'm being so helpful now, helping you get things straight, making lists and so on," she said with a smile. "I can't help you when you're helping the people. All I can do is to make this place more comfortable for you and your guests...It just doesn't seem like much." Belle pushed a strand of her hair back behind her ear and looked up into his eyes.

He looked down into her eyes worry shining from his. His hand came up and brushed over her cheek. “Belle…in my land you have just described the role of a queen.” He leaned down kissing her softly looking once again into her eyes their lips just inches apart. “If I can’t be sure that my queen has made the arrangements to make my guests comfortable. Or to have the doctors and ladies ready to help the injured, then my hands are tied in so many ways. I have to be the one to see that it is done then. All those ‘little’ things that you are talking about are what I need the most. Without the support of a capable and strong woman I am nothing.”

His tenderness, and the look on his face as he told her how important her job really was, how much he needed her help told her much more about his person than he could have known. She smiled and leaned in to kiss him softly. She would have said more, but she wasn't sure what to say to him. After all. He'd said everything that really needed to be said. So instead of debating any of his points she kissed him again and hugged him closely. "Thank you," she said softly. It was good to know that she was needed too, in her own little way. Or rather, in a big way, from what he'd told her.

He smiled and kissed her softly till they turned back to the work they had been doing. Right now the castle was taking care of the wounded that had come to them from the fight and caravan. So there was little to do for the king and it made it so he could spend the whole day with his love. Even though he had left orders that he wasn’t to be disturbed for anything. He went back to organizing the books pulling more off the shelves for her and returning the ones she had already sorted.
