Able to love and be loved in return

They all nodded. "We are going to search the forest. If they are still there, you lied. If they are gone, you are speaking the truth." Grant looked scared at Katrina, he knew that the bodies were laying there but he couldn't take them away because he was cuffed. He just hoped that they weren't going to find the bodies. Two of them walked out of the room and they were going to call some more officers to search in the forest. The other cop stayed with them to make sure that they stayed in the room.

"I told you I can't remember that doesn't consist of lying...for saying what I think happened." She said weakly, they probably couldn't hear her. Katrina was either looking at prison or death for saying that, they don't take lying well. She could only hope they couldn't find the bodies. Katrina's eyes looked over at Grant.

Two hours later, the cops returned. They took off Grant's cuffs and said: "We only found some blood and the branch. We have seen that there was a fight. But we didn't found the bodies." Grant looked quite shocked when the police officer said that. "Thanks..." he said. When the cops left the hospital, Grant walked over to Katrina and said: "We are in problems."

Katrina looked to the police officers, her face unchanged with the news that they didn't find the bodies for if any excitement they could still be accused. She watched in silence as they incurred him and left, "We are in trouble...were could they go? But your not going to jail, there's a plus."She smiled she was worried about the bodies but she was more happy than anything.

Grant looked right in her eyes and said: "There are three ways to get a death werewolf back alive. And if one of those three happened, we are screwed and we can better kill each other right now." Grant looked very scared and he sighed. "The first way is using black magic. The second way is an undeath like a vampire or another kind of shifter. The third way is the worst way, a pact with a god or a devil," Grant said. He knew that all of those three ways were effective because he had seen all of them once before.

"Grant your frightening me...I think your worring too much...fir all we know someone could have buried them, or something may have eaten them..." She stated hoping they didn't come back to life somehow. She was frightened and injured, two things that shouldn't mix, plus she was strapped down to the bed so she couldn't get up.

"I think that I'm not worrying to much," Grant said. "I don't think that they are buried or eaten. I believe that they are still alive and that they are going to take revenge. I think that it's best for you if I go away and try to get their attention," Grant continued on a protective way. "I don't want you to get hurt even more."

"I think you are. Come now enough of this, everything will be fine." We're both alive well you know what I mean, just let it be." She said reassuringly. "Plus what if you leave and they come here? They know I can't do anything...Stay with me...please."

Grant looked at Katrina, knowing that he was right. When she asked him to stay with her, he nodded. "Okay," he said. He sat next to the bed and took her hand. "I'll protect you no matter what," he continued.

"Thank you.."She stated with a smile she felt like she won getting him to stay there with her. She didnt want to be in the hospital alone. Katrina curled her fingers around his hand. "I know you will.If I can help it nothing will happen to you either."

Grant smiled and he kissed her gently, hoping that she wasn't going to reject the kiss. His hand was caressing hers. "I love you," Grant said. He looked at her and hoped that she felt the same but he wasn't sure about it.

Katrina didn't pull away she stayed for his kiss, closing her eyes. Once the kiss was broken, she smiled softly. She never thought she'd fall for a werewolf. She had said she loved him in the woods when he was going to go with them.Katrina did mean it but the words were hard to say. "I...I...love...you too."she stated trying to get the words out having a hard time in the woods too.

He smiled when she said that she loved him. "What do you want to do?" he asked. "Are you hungry or thirsty?" He only wanted the best for her. He touched her leg slowly and he kept looking in her eyes. Grant was totally in love and never felt something like this before, his love for her was growing every second. She was the true one for him.

"Grant I can't do anything, I'm stuck to the bed." She stated smiling. There was nothing to do in the room, while she was strapped down. Katrina nodded her head, "yes I am, they have blood pumping into me but it doesn't seem to be going quick enough." She replied, the blood that was going into her was only a supplement, so it couldn't harm her, it was trying to do it's job, but real fresh blood would help her more, help her to heal, calm her hunger. She cared for Grant she knew what live felt like but this was different.

Grant shifted partly and he released her from the anti-vampire 'cuffs'. "Here you go," he said as he shifted back. He offered his neck to her. "Drink," he said. He knew that his blood was going to heal her faster then the blood they were giving to her by the supplement-bags. He didn't knew that Katrina felt something for him that was different than love, he thought that she really loved him. He smiled and hoped that she was going to drink from his blood.

"Grant somebody will see..." She stated softly. "I can't bend yet, with my back, they put abrace on me. Give me your wrist?" She asked more so offered comfortable with it. "For if the doctors come in we need to put the straps back on, so they don't think your trying to steal me." She said since he broke out before they didn't need her to leave. Katrina does love Grant but this love is different than anyother she had ever felt.

"So what? You are thirsty and if you really want, you can get out of them anyways. We'll put them back on after you had enough," he said as he gave her his wrist. "And I can steal you with the bed so I don't need to release you first," he said laughing. He winked at her.

"I know...but Grant it's different...I dont like when people see me feed." She stated it was also the race thing he was a werewolf and she a vampire they weren't supposed to work out together. "Not in my condition without feeding I can't break free of them." Katrina took his wrist in her hand feeling for a place to bite from. She kissed his wrist gently, taking her nail she cut his wrist not wanting to hit his bones with her teeth. She brought it to her mouth and started to drink. Katrina stopped a minute, "Yes but it would be easier without the bed. " She stated and started to drink once more.

"I don't care if they see us together. I think that the fact that I saved you is going to change some things. I saved you from other werewolves so I betrayed my race. I think that I'm not a good werewolf anymore," Grant said. He didn't felt it when her nail cut his wrist and he didn't even cared if she just had bitten in his arm, hitting his bones. "I hope that we can leave this place soon," he said and he laughed a bit.

Katrina continued to drink from his wrist, he might not care if people saw them but she did. She hasn't been comfortable with the whole vampire feeding from others thing, so she normally fed in private. "You were also defending yourself, they wanted you at first not me. If you think about it if they hadn't come when they did I might be in bit and pieces...you nearly tore me to shreds, before they intirupted." She stated though indifferent about it knowing he wasn't himself at that moment, but if she had told police that in the first place they wouldn't have heard the rest of the story. "So do I..." She stated in between drinking.

He didn't liked it when she started about what he ALMOST had done. "Do you really think that I controlled myself at that moment?" Grant asked. Grant was planning to end the war between Vampires and Werewolves forever, he was getting sick of it. The 'Vendetta' controlled most of the werewolves and vampires their minds, making them act like cool blooded murderers to each other but they weren't like that. Before the Vendetta even started, Werewolves didn't cared what Vampires did but because of one little fight between the leaders, the war started. He looked at her and smiled. "I'm going to end the Vendetta."

She stopped again "I know you didn't, but it still could've happened." She replied then started to drink again not wanting to spill a drop, of his blood. She never really understood the fight, and she stayed out of it for the most part. She never liked fighting. Katrina looked to him, "Good luck..How do you intend to do that?" She asked before drinking again.

"I'm going to the Vampire Counsel," Grant said. "I'm going there and I'm going to tell them what happened." Grant's voice was filled with courage and he was completely standing behind his own, crazy idea. A Werewolf that was going to the Counsel was considered, a suicide mission. "I'm sure that I'll do it right and that they understand it. And after that the Vendetta is over." Grant looked in her eyes. "You don't need to come with me. It's to long for you to walk. I've heard that they are a few 100 kilometers away from here." He smiled and then said: "You think I'm crazy. Right?"

Katrina's eye's widened, "You're going where? You're barking mad literally...Grant that's like committing suicide, like me walking into the sun. You can't go there...they'll kill you." She said looking at him with worry and fear. "Grant, that may win you good favor but i doubt the war will end because of one good werewolf...not everyone wants the war to be over, it'll have to take much more change than that...You can't go there alone...what if you never come back? True I may not be able to walk, that far in my condition...but.." She looked saddend she didn't think she could change his mind, over this, so she just stopped.

Grant looked at her. "Come on, do you really think that they are going to kill me because of the fact that I want to ask something? And if they aren't okay with what I say than I just tell them that I love you," Grant said. "And I am going alone because you can't walk. So I'm going alone." He knew that Katrina didn't liked the fact that he was planning to go alone without her. But he was really getting sick about the fact that they couldn't be together as long as the Vendetta was going on.
