Once up on deck, they walked in silence for a few minutes, whilst Kiko considered what she was about to do. Eventually, she just bit the bulletin.
“Do you mind if I ask you a question?”
“Ask away. Can’t promise I’ll answer though.”
“Why have you just dumped your girlfriend on a man old enough to be her father in order to meet me in Connoisseurs’ Corner?” Tom laughed, a little surprised by her bluntness.
“There are so many things wrong with that question.”
“Like what?”
“Like... Mr. Stirling is way older than her father. Like what makes you think I’ve dumped her? And what makes you think I went there to meet you?”
“I knew she was your girlfriend because of the way you were dancing and because I’ve read some of Mr. Mcbride’s op ed pieces.”
“You shouldn’t believe everything you read - and particularly not from him”
“Don’t worry I don’t. But you have then left her with an old man who has spent the better part of the evening pawing over her. I’m surprised she let it go to be honest but also so did you.”
“What makes you think I let it go?”
“Did you say something to the old man?”
Tom shook his head. “I’m just asking the question.”
“You seemed to be quite content dancing with her until she told you I was watching you? We exchanged looks, exchanged a smile of two...and with a few moments, you left her with him and now we’re here.”
“I can’t be responsible for the fact that you followed me out. You may be a stalker” Now it was Kiko’ s turn to laugh. Tom liked her laugh. “I’m not a stalker. I... I respect what you do. I follow the news...the cases you sort out.”
“I have a very good team, in which Evie is a key member.”
“Yes. She... “
“What?”
“She seems a little... hard... hardened?”
“She’s tough.”
“Yes.”
“And your point.”
“I... I thought you might prefer someone more... Feminine.”
“Like you?” She smiled. ‘Yes”
“Yes she’s tough, but... Trust me when I say that Evie is very much a woman. ‘
“And yet here you are with me as a result of a couple of looks and a smile.” He looked at her. ‘And Evie’s permission” he thought, but he wasn’t going to say that. The woman was right though. She was very different to Evie and that excited him probably more than he expected.
“So where does that leave our conversation.”
She looked at him and smiled. ‘Mr. Reed... Tom... I am pretty outspoken. I say what I think...”
“I would never have guessed” he replied with a broad smile on his face.
She reached into her purse and pulled out a pen and a piece of paper. She wrote something on the paper and then put the pen away. She handed him the piece of paper. “That’s my cabin number... If I’m right in my conclusions... you know where to find me. if not, thank you for the cognac and the walk, and I hope nothing I have said has caused any offence.” With that she turned and walked away. Tom watched her leave, then unfolded the piece of paper. He smiled and slipped it into his tux pocket.
Kiko went back to her cabin. She changed into a robe, took her makeup off and the poured herself a gin from a bottle she brought with her. She wondered whether she had come on too strong. Maybe a woman who was that forthright wasn’t his type. She didn’t know this Evie Taylor but if only a fraction of what McBride had written about her was correct, she couldn’t understand what a man like Tom Reed saw in her. She was onbviously a good cop... but did she get the job because if her family connections or because she was sleeping with Tom? Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door.
*************
Karl unlocked the door and opened it for Evie to walk in. The suite was impressive. ‘So this is first class on a ship that by ordinary standards was all first class’ she thought to herself. She walked into the room and put her purse down on a small table. She heard the door clicking closed behind her and turned to see Karl talking off his tux jacket as he walked over to a cabinet on top of which was three of four bottles of spirits and some crystal glasses. He poured scotch into two heavy crystal tumblers and walked over to where Evie still was. Handing her a glass he told her to relax.
“No-one is going to hear anything about tonight from me i give you my word. Particularly not Thomas Reed. So .... just relax and enjoy.” Then he circled around behind her checking out her rear as she took a mouthful of scotch and swallowed slowly savouring the taste.
“Lady... “ he came back round in front of her and kept on walking over to a large soft couch. “... you look damn fine in them fancy clothes but I think you’ll look better out of it. Why don’t you make an old man very happy.” Evie looked at him for a long moment. He was older than McWilliams. Much heavier. But she couldn’t forget what she had felt down in the restaurant when he had guided her hand to his groin. She put her glass down and took a few steps towards him playing with the small diamond pendant that hung around her neck. She came to a stop in the centre of the room a few feet in front of him. He smiled back at her pleased that she seemed to want to give him a perfect view. He made himself comfortable undoing his bow tie and laying one arm across the back of the couch, sipping on scotch, never taking his eyes off her.
“Does anyone ever say no to you Mr Stirling?” Evie asked as she began to undo the front of the dress slowly. She hadn’t consciously thought about doing it slowly. It was just her natural predisposition.
“Sometimes. But I’ve never had a woman turn me down in 50 years. I know cattle. I know horses and... “ he took a mouthful of scotch watching her over the top of the glass. “... and I know women. I know what they want - sometimes when they don’t. I know the women I don’t stand a chance with and I know the ones like you .” He paused for a moment and watched as Evie slipped off the top part of her dress. Full firm tits with hard nipples. He liked the fact that her nipples were hard. Perhaps she was already getting wet at the prospect of him fucking her. Or perhaps it was the fact that he was in control telling her what to do. Perhaps she liked that in her men. His smile broadened. Yes. This was a women he knew. He watched as her hands reached behind her and started to undo the skirt. He realised he was holding his breath. Evie undid the button and the small zipper and then eased the skirt over her hips at which point gravity took over.
“Oh my lord. I would never have dreamed that at my age I would have seen a women looking so good standing naked in front of me. You have indeed made an old cowboy very happy... and we’ve barely started. I promise I’m going to make you happy too. This isn’t my first rodeo girl. Turn around for me Evie. Nice and slow.” The hint of a smile played around her lips and she held her hands out slightly, arms straight.
As she moved Karl set his glass down and stood up. He took a few steps so that by the time Evie was facing him he was stood immediately in front of her. He drew one finger along her jaw line and smiled. Then he walked behind her. With just his fingertips he traced a line from her shoulders down the length of each arm. Down over the tight biceps past her elbows and when he got to her forearms as he continued to move down he gently eased her arms back until he hand both wrists positioned in the small of her back just the slightest suggestion of pressure brought her arms back. He liked that.
“If you wanted proof that God was a man, watch what happens to a woman’s tits when she brings her arms back like this. A sign of submission which causes her to offer her tits to the man standing in front of her at the time. Absolute perfection.” It was taking all of his restraint at that moment not to squeeze pinch or twist the hard nipples he could see over her shoulder. He told her to keep her hands where they were. He held his breath a little bit entirely sure how she was about to react but he was confident enough. He pulled his lose tie silently from around his neck and gently tied it around Evie’s wrists. He felt her tense. Saw her take a deeper breath but she didn’t object. He would put money on the fact that her cunt just got a little bit wetter.
