Aegus Nightrhode had a bit of a reputation for his uncanny luck. Everything always seemed to go his way. From his perfect scores in class to his luck with women off campus, not one bad thing had ever been known to happen to Aegus. There was a reason behind this that no one would have ever guessed. Aegus was a Demon. In his human form, he resembled a normal 21 year old college student. His long, thick raven-black hair fell just above his dark golden eyes. His dark tanned skin was complimented by his light muscle tone which was very easily visible in the tight sleeveless shirts he was often found wearing. Being a demon, he of course could learn human concepts taught in his classes quite easily, and his demonic smell and aura attracted women. His demonic aura made his presence seem forbidden, but his smell drew them in.

Why would a demon hide among humans? For one reason. One of the human women on campus was very important. One of these women held the blood of the old Deon King who'd died just a few years ago. If he could find this woman and make her his bride, then Aegus could take the place of the old Demon King. Of course, he wasn't the only man with this plan. He knew other demons were hidden among the campus as well, seeking the woman out for their own selfish gain. Aegus would let no other beast come between him and his destiny. However, it was proving a difficult task. Night after night he lured women into his lair, only to discover afterwards that he'd wasted his seed. Only the Demon Princess he sought would be able to carry his seed and bear his child. Human women could never bear the child of a demon. Aegus knew he was getting close. It would only be a matter of time before the golden eyed devil had his prize and his throne...

RE: The Devil's Luck (Female needed)

(may I?)

Alexandria Bode was an ordinary 20yr old girl attending a literature course in college. There was nothing usual or odd about her. Or so she thought. Alexandria had an enchanting air about her. Her skin was flawless and held a slight tan all year round, her long auburn hair fell straight and smooth down to her waist, it never curled even if she plaited it and left it in the plait for weeks, and ner beautiful crystal blue eyes, would change colour depending on her mood but of course Alexandria didn't know this as she only ever saw her eyes when they were blue. Others had seen it and avoided her because of it. She spent a lot of time alone, reading, writing and wondering why people didn't seem to like her.

As class finished Alexandria headed to the gym, she left her bag and books in her locker and changed into a tank top, shorts and runners before heading out on the running track. She was fit and beautiful it was surprising she was always alone. But thats what made her so easy to miss. Since she was alone nobody paid much attention to her.
As she ran her long hair was tied back in a rope braid. She was fast, not the fastest in the college, not even nearly, but she was still fast.

(I was hoping you would. ;) )

Aegus sat in the gym that day after his work-our, trying to spot his latest victim in the croud. However, it was becoming difficult trying to find a woman who hadn't failed his test. He scanned the room slowly, trying to find a woman that stuck out to him. His eyes stopped on Alexandria. Yes... Despite her beauty no one ever seemed to talk to her... Perhaps it was a sign of her demonic blood. And maybe with being so alone... it would be easier to lure her to his lair than usual. Once she was done running, Aegus slowly advanced to her. "Alexandria, right?" He asked her, leaning against the wall as he stood next to her. "I'm in one of your classes... Aegus... A pleasure to formally meet you..." He said, his eyes slowly scanning her.

Alexandria looked up her eyes flashing yellow for a moment in surprise but they quickly returned to blue. No human would have caught the yellow in her eyes at all.
Smiling politely Alexandria said ''Yea. I know. You're in my classical literature class.'' she took a drink of her water then added ''you're also well spoken of as the 'lady hunter' since you only ever date a girl once''
Alexandria was not joking about this nickname, even if he didn't know of it yet. All the girls called him that and some found the name itself arousing. Alexandria found it mysterious but she hadn't decided if it was good or bad.

A small grin formed on Aegus's lips as he caught a small glimpse of the light yellow flash in her eyes. This had to be the one... but he had to keep playing his role. She seemed to enjoy his little title, if only a little. "Well..." He said, leaning a little closer to her. "I just haven't been able to find a woman that can handle me... It's actually pretty sad... I've been trying so hard to find a woman that can keep up with me..." He said as his eyes slowly wandered her. Yes... He could smell her demonic blood... all he had to do was lure her into his embrace, and his plan would succeed. "I was thinking... Maybe the lovely vision here would be up to the challenge?..."

(Sorry if I come off creepy... Not used to playing charries like this as I'm sure you know. :p)

(don worry your not coming off creepy :) and yes I know..too well lol :p )

Alexandria looked at him judging him, her eyes changing to a subtle grey as she grew suspicious of him. "I don't think so. You're too forward and from what I hear you care only for sex and not the girl you're doing" She said coldly her mood matching her eyes perfectly. She returned to her stretching and added "If you want to date a girl like me you have to really want to date HER and not her body. Got it big guy?"
her voice was laced so deeply with sarcasm as she called him 'big guy' it was almost like she was mocking him. Well actually she kinda was.
Alexandria had been shy at first with anyone and she was surprising herself with how much she was able to just tell this guy what was on her mind. But she kept her cool not showing any of her surprise as she prepared herself for another run.
Aegus was getting under her skin and really her was getting to her and she couldn't understand it. No guy's ever managed to get under her skin in fact neither had any girls yet this guy talks to her for two minutes and its like he knows all about her. Alexandria had no idea how close to right she was.

Aegus's eyes flickered with rage for a moment as Alexandria turned away from him. A low, inhuman growl eminated from his throat for a moment, but he quickly cleared his throat, turning his back as well. Fine... He'd sewn the seeds of curiosity, which was all it took. She may not be attracted to him physically... but he knew she'd come to him, curious as to why he seemed to know her so wel. Being of demonic blood, he knew Alexandria wouldn't be able to resist the dark wonder that surrounded him. "Fine... But if you change your mind, I'm sure you know where to find me." He called back calmly, a small smirk on his lips.

Alexandria grinned half surprised and half amused that he wasn't pushing or denying that he cares little about the girls.
Without another thought about him Alexandria ran another four laps of the track. Once finished she went to the locker rooms and showered then changed and headed home.

Her parents had been filthy rich and so when they died in a car accident Alexandria inherited everything and now lived in a very posh house in the upperclass side of town. She didn't live alone. The butler became like a father and the maid was like a mother and then there was the cook and her driver both of which were like cousins. These were her family now and Alexandria had no idea that the biggest difference wsas she had demon blood and the others were pure 100% human.

She walked through the college campus and through the gates on her way home. She decided today she would walk as she had a lot to think about and walking always helped.
She thought about how strange Aegus was and laughed silently at his suggestion that she would change her mind. She wouldn't though she did admit she was curious to know why he even noticed her.

Little did Alexandria know she wasn't alone on her late-night walk home. Lurking in the shadows was yet another demon disguised as a college student. This form wasn't nearly as attractive as Aegus's, but it did well to keep him unnoticed. He licked his lips as he slowly stalked Alexandria. Marriage wasn't the only way for one to inherit the position as Demon King... Devouring the blood and body of the king's daughter would also grant any demon the position.

The beast could hold back no longer, moving behind Alexandria. He grabbed her from behind, one hand over her mouth, the other over her waistline as he dragged her into the nearest alley, practically drooling as he did so.

Alexandria tried to scream when someone suddenly grabbed her from behind. She kicked and struggled till her mouth was free and then let out a scream that was obviously female but also not human.
"HELP!!!!" She screamed struggling against her captor trying to get free but not succeeding. He was too strong for her. Alexandria's eyes were turning to a pale pearl like colour as fear took over. her entire body was going pale and so her eyes turning pale made sense. She was terrified.
Her bag was on the ground a few feet away from her so even if she did get free for a minute she wouldn't be able to ring for help her only chance was that somebody heard her screams and would find her. Fast!

Alexandria continued to struggle and began crying in fear "Let me go please, please let me go, I'll give you all the money you want please just let me go"
She hadn't been able to see the face of her captor at all though she knew something was not normal about him as his body looked thin and weak as she judged from the arms that held her however his strength was greater than anyone she knew.

The demon grinned. "I don't want money!... I want YOU!..." The demon growled to her. However he stopped as he bumped into something behind him. He glanced back, seeing Aegus standing tall behind him. Being a high-level demon, the lower-level demon which held Alexandria gasped in fear, slowly letting her go. "I... I..." "Run... Now..." He muttered. The demon let go of Alexandria, running as fast as he could, stumbling a bit as he did.

Alexandria sank to her knees the moment she was let go. She was so frightened her body was trembling, her skin white and her eyes white. she looked horrifying even though it was because she was horrified that she looked this way.

Aegus knew what it was she needed, what it was she wanted... he slowly knelt down, his arms moving around her warmly as his hand lightly roamed her back to comfort her. "It's ok... I promise I won't let some beast like that ever harm you..." He whispered to her, his voice cold yet somehow calming.

She jumped slightly when she felt another pair of arms move around her. When he spoke she knew it was Aegus even though she hadn't looked at him yet she knew. Slowly her body bean to return to its normal healthy colour and her eyes returned to their beautiful blue. She ahd heard the coldness in his voice but she knew he would not harm her, or go back on his word. She didn't know why, she just knew.
Slowly she rose to her feet again moving out of his embrace her movements just as icy as his voice was. Her eyes like as cold as ice as she looked up at him "Thank you. I'm sorry you had to save me I shouldn't have been so careless as to walk home this late"
She took out her phone and began dialling her driver John's number.

"Wait..." He muttered to her, moving a hand to hers, coaxing her to hang up her phone. "I can guaranty, if you go home without my help more people like that will attack you... Let me walk you home at least... No sex, no date, just let me walk you home..." He muttered. Right now, the only thing he was worried about was keeping his prize safe.

She looked at him her eyes grey with suspicion again. after a moment she put away the phone and said "Fine."
She didn't stop being suspicious of him but let him walk with her nonetheless. besides this was easier than explaining to John why she was suddenly calling now when she hadn't called earlier.

Aegus grinned a bit as Alexandria allowed him to escort her home. He glanced over at her now and then, seeing her suspicion. "You know... There's something about you..." He muttered to her, grinning a bit. "Something... different. In a good way..." He muttered to her. "Others must see it too... Though they apparently are going about it the wrong way..."

Alexandria glanced at him when he spoke and said "Different? how? I'm just a regular unpopular girl"
She was now a little interested and the suspicion lessened a tiny bit as she looked at him.

Aegus smiled over at her, seeing he was beginning to warm up to her. "I'm not sure... There's just... something in you that sticks out... something... that almost calls out to me..." He said. He knew exactly what it was... But she didn't. He could use that against her.

She rolled her eyes and looked away "Did that crappy chat up line work on every girl you've been with?"
She led him through the streets towards the upperclass area

Aegus chuckled. "Actually, I haven't used any pick-up lines on you yet... I mean it, Alexandria... There's something special about you... And others see it to..."

She glanced side ways at him and shrugged "Explains why people avoid me I guess. Except for you it seems"
Alexandria was not letting her guard down. In fact it was up higher than any other time and well fortified. Her suspicion was growing again. Why was he being so nice? why did he help her? what was he playing at? everyone always avoided her why wasn't he?

As they neared her street the houses were clearly getting bigger and fancier.

Aegus laughed lightly, glancing over at her. "Well... I know what I like... and this something special... I can tell I like a lot..." He said as they neared her house. "Would you like me to come inside with you?..."

Aegus chuckled as he watched her leave. She had some fight in her... He liked that. He shrugged and turned, heading back to the campus.
