Link's Legacy (RP for me and Kolath)

Zelda blushed deeply and hugged the girl closer. â??Iâ??m sorry dear I understand how much he meant to you.â? She brushed a tear from her own cheek before showing the girls to their seats which were across from each other. Sitting at the head of the table the food was already laid out for them both. â??Please letâ??s eat than.â?

Lyina sat across from Mira and lightly licked her lips looking down at the food. But there was something else on her mind at least subconsciously, the lip lick was something that was meant to entice the girl across from her a little even if it was not intentional.

"Do not apologize" She said softly smiling at her "He's in a better place now".

She sat down at the table and smiled happy to get some good food. Looking over at Lyina she stopped herself from blushing seeing the girl lick her lips. Her eyes darted back to her plate and she began to eat.

"Uhm...so Majesty...I was wondering if I could hear some of the tales of my Master's heroics" She said "He was very humble and vague on the details...".

Zelda was more then happy to talk about Link and started to tell of the many adventures he had had over the years. She was just finishing up the first one when her prime minister came in and whispered something to her. â??Iâ??m sorry girls I will have to be excused something has come up that I need to see to right now.â? Zelda quickly stood and left.

This entire time Lyina had been eating but she was finding that the food tasted just so good better then normal. She didnâ??t understand it but everyone one of her actions seemed to be exaggerated. Taking a bite of a strawberry was like a piece of heaven. Her soft red lips wrapped around the fruit as she slowly let her sparkling white teeth sink into it.

Mira had to keep her eyes either on Zelda or her food otherwise she might blush deep scarlet. She couldn't help but notice Lyrina eating it didn't bode well.

"Majesty...do you..." She'd just been about to ask if it was something she'd be needed for but Zelda had already left "I guess if I was needed I would have been asked".

She continued to eat and looked up at Lyrina in time to see her eat a strawberry, for all she knew her face had started glowing red and she lowered her eyes.

"So...highness...about the arrow that broke in town...if you would allow me I would like to replace it" She said softly "I am sure that I can gather the rupees to purchase a quiver of the same type".

Lyina was in the middle of eating the lower half of the strawberry when Mira spoke to her. it shocked Lyina so much that she dropped the half eaten fruit down the front of her dress right between her breast. â??Ack!â? she jumped up and without thinking reached down her front to get it not realizing the show she was putting on. Lyina had never been a prim and proper princess but when she was around just girls she didnâ??t even think of what she was doing.

Finally getting the fruit out she sighed and blushed realizing how that looked. â??Sorryâ?¦about the arrow donâ??t worry I was just practicing a different way to fletch the feathers.â?

((Geeze I'm tempted to do an anime style nose bleed lol ^_^))

Mira's breath caught in her throat as she watched this. She should have looked away but it was impossible to do.

"Well...uhm...alright" She said not registering the words Lyina said "As long as I didn't do any irreparable damage".

This girl was unlike any princess she'd seen before, loud, crass, and no hint of shyness at all. It made her incredibly uncomfortable but she would endure.

"So...you're into archery I take it" She asked hoping there were no more shows.

Lyina popped the remaining half of the strawberry she had just fished out of her dress into her mouth and finished it off quickly. She then licked her lips and moaned softly in pleasure at the taste. â??Mmm yes I prefer it to the rough hack and slash of a sword. Archery has a grace and style that I like.â? She nodded slightly smiling at the other girl not realizing how much she had been showing off.

Her blush darkened hearing Lyina moan, even if it was for the tast of the strawberry.

"The sword has its own grace" She replied "But only in a skilled masters hands...Master Link's sword was almost an extension of himself...when he fought it had been difficult to separate the sword from his arm".

The blade was not rough, it was just as graceful as archery but one needed the right training.

"So...tell me..." She started to say but their conversation was cut short by a guard bursting into the hall clutching his side.

"R-run...get...get out of here" He said weakly "The..castle...danger".

Lyina did run, to the guard. â??Your hurt come over here.â? she helped the man over to the table and pushing the food off she forced him to lay down. The man was trying his best to stop her but she opened his armor to look at the wound and her brows knit together, the wound was very bad but she started her best to treat it.

The guard looked back at Mira, â??Youâ?¦haâ?¦haveâ?¦to get the â?¦get her out of here.â?

Mira's stood as Lyina rushed to the guard her mind was racing with thoughts of what was transpiring in the castle.

"What happened...where's the queen" She said going to kneel beside the knight "Who attacked you".

The knight was hurt bad and the wound would probably prove fatal. She looked at Lyina and thought about what to do. If she rushed of to guard the queen it left Lyina vulnerable, but she couldn't run off and leave the queen either.

"Get out of here...the queen surrendered...to protect..." He coughed "Just run...".

Lyina bites her lip hard almost to the point of making it bleed itself. She could see there was no way to save this man but that almost made her try harder to save him. her hand pressed down on the wound as she ripped a piece from her dress to stanch the blood with. She pulled the bow and quiver from the manâ??s shoulders and looked up as a loud boom was heard outside out near the main gate.

Mira heard it to and straightened drawing her sword. Seeing Lyina grab the bow and quiver she shook her head.

"Princess...I'm going to escort you out of the castle" She said to her "If this man speaks true...there is nothing else we can do".

She hated the words as they came out of her mouth but if it meant keeping the princess safe she'd speak them. Link had told her of Zelda's self sacrificing nature but it was a hard bit of medicine to swallow.

Lyina slowly stood up from the guardâ??s lifeless body putting the bloody quiver on her shoulder and stringing the bow. â??You can run if you want to, hero. But I am not letting some monster get his hands on my mother and my kingdom.â? she drew a arrow and headed for the door about to pull it open and rush out into the court yard to confront this menace.

Mira grabbed her arm and stopped her.

"You're mother surrendered...that means she couldn't beat whoever is attacking" She said softly but smiled "If you want to fight...well I'm going to have to join in...let's go".

She opened the door herself and stepped into the hall glancing around for attackers. It wouldn't be good to lose her wits and charge in blindly.

"Just don't get hurt princess" She added as she ran towards the courtyard.

Lyina was not really happy with the fact that Mira was coming along, yet at the same time she knew that it would be foolish to go in without backup. The moment they were out in the court yard already they were being faced with enemies. Flying through the air were large grotesque beings that she had never before seen in her life. they seemed to have no wings or other form of lift and yet they stayed in the air and could even stand still in one spot. The few guards that were trying to still make a stand against them were being blasted by heat or ice and often switching between both as one monster would move on to be replaced by another one.

Mira almost gulped seeing these things, she wasn't great at fighting flying creatures and the bow wasn't her strong suit. Then again she wouldn't back down...not if it cost her life to fight.

"Princess" She said softly "Don't do anything reckless...your mother would kill me if you got hurt".

Pulling the shield from its binds across her sheathe she prepared to fight. This wasn't going to be easy but still she charged into the fight.

Air born opponents were no problem for Lyina as she pulled back on her bow lining up and taking a quick shot at one of the flying monsters. There was only one problem, her shot was true and perfect flying right for her enemy, but even though it struck its target it did nothing but make the monster look down. It was clear that they monsters were protected from mundane weapons.

Mira gripped her blade tighter as she watched the arrow fail to harm the monsters. They needed something...stronger but she had no clue where to get it.

"I should have brought dad's quiver...but I left it...on" She said softly then exclaimed "EPONA".

She brought her shield up for protection then pulled out the small whistle. Blowing three short bursts she turned to Lyina as Epona galloped towards them.

"Princess...take the quiver from Epona" She yelled "But make the shots count...there're only ten left".

Lyina looked over at the horse smiling a little as she recognized the color and build from stories her mother had told. She came over and lightly brushed the beautiful horses nose before taking the magic quiver from the saddle. Pulling one of the magic blessed arrows from the quiver she lined up yet another shot striking and killing one of the monsters that was closing on Mira. â??Ten shots arenâ??t going to make much of a difference hero!â?

"That's why I said make them count" She replied as Epona galloped over to her.

Hoping it would get her higher up so she could hit the monsters she climbed onto Epona. Aiming a slash upward she nicked one of the creatures but didn't get an exact hit.

"Damnit...still not high enough" She growled "How are we gonna beast these things...".

Lyina held her arrows for ones that she knew she could hit but still she would run out quickly. She looked hastily around that was when she saw something that took her breath away. Just now coming over the wall was a monster unlike any that she had ever seenâ?¦it was taller than the castle and the aura of evil that it gave off was oppressive. In one hand the giant held princess Zelda limp and clearly out cold. â??MOTHER!!â?

Mira whirled Epona around and looked up at the giant beast.

"NO...MAJESTY!!!" She exclaimed as she saw the unconcious Zelda "YOU...BASTARD...LEAVE HER ALONE!!!".

She kicked Epona's haunches and aimed her toward the monster. There was no way she'd let her father down, she had to save the queen.

"Come on...you're helping" She said grabbing Lyina and pulling her up onto Epona's back "We can't let he be taken away".

Lyina was for the first time in agreement with Mira and pulled up to make her mounting faster. She notched another arrow and pulled back on the string. It was then that the arrow started to glow with a bright yellow light like that of the sun. Lyina didnâ??t hardly noticed as she lined up the arrow. Loosing the shaft it flew steady and true right for the creatureâ??s back. It struck but the creature barely even flinched as it turned to look at the annoyance laughing.

She was shocked seeing that the arrow didn't work. That was impossible, those were light arrows they'd been given to her father by one of the spirits.

"Damnit...what the hell is this thing" She said angrilly then she noticed something about it.

The giant looked like someone her father had once told her about. A man from the once great Gerudo tribe, but that was impossible there was no way he could still be alive.

"That can't be Ganon" She said softly shaking her head "There's no way".

â??What?â? Lyina hadnâ??t heard all that had been said by the other girl but she had understood one word. Gannon. She gasped as the bow dropped to her side, there was no other giant like Gannon out there, only he had the power to level the castle like this. There was no way that it could be anyone else, only Gannon could do everything that she was seeing. â??There is nothing we can doâ?¦.â? Lyina had lost all hope, there was nothing that the two of them could do against someone as powerful as Gannon.
