Lund laughs softly as he kisses her hand before pressing his cheek against it. "Then I will protect you the best way I know how. I'll lock both of you into a large tower and allow no one inside." His eyes twinkle with humor as he leans in to kiss her cheek softly once more.

---
Gaisse smiles as she opens the box the white gold circlet easily seen now. "The elves are fine craftsman Lady Lily." He takes the circlet from the box holding it up to place it on her forehead. "I think it will be perfect for you." his smile is gentle and warm as he places the circlet on her after her permission to do so.

She smiles, giving him a soft smile in addition. "I am afraid I will not let that happen. I need to be a free creature. Being locked up will not please me. And don't you want your daughter to be able to run about freely?"

-------
She feels like the gold is burning her skin. It was not literally doing so but her inner guilt making it feel so. Such a fine gift that she really did not deserve. He seemed like such a nice man. She was a wife he didn't deserve yet she smiled on and just bowed her head a little bit, "Thank you. It's stunning..." she looked towards the door. "I suppose we should go in now?"

Lund smiles running his fingers along her hand gently. "Well I guess Ill have to find another way to keep you safe and hidden won't I?" He lifts her hand kissing it softly as he looks into her eyes. He gives her hand a squeeze as he glances towards the door starting to wonder what's keeping lily. "I wonder if she's to nervous to come in?"

---
Gaisse smiles nodding at the way the circlet sits on her head. "It fits you perfectly lady lily." His own eyes glance towards the door in response to her question. "Of course and if you will allow me to escort you." He extends his arm offering it to her as he looks into her eyes smiling warmly at her. "I'm sure the other guest are wondering if we've both run away and hidden with nervousness."

Kiana looked towards the door just as he did and signed, "She will come. I have come to truly know your sister and I know she will come." That did not mean that she was not going to be nervous when she at last arrived.

---
Lily reached out and took his arm, stepping up beside him, "You may..." she told him as they moved together to stand before the closed doors, waiting for them to be opened and for the real challenge to begin. Lily could not help but stand there and wonder if Gaisse knew. Had he been told exactly why he was getting her for a wife? It almost didn't seem fair. He we a nice man it seemed and deserved more then the girl that was not good enough for his brother the heir to wed. It was like getting his brother's leftovers.

Lund smiles as he caresses Kianas hand softly. "I'm sure your right darling, but i still worry about her." He sighs softly as he reaches for his glass of wine sipping at it slowly. His eyes once more glance to the door before glancing at his parents. "If she doesn't arrive soon were going to have to entertain my parents."

----
Gaisse smiles as he escorts Lily into the grand hall. The servant announcing them confused for a moment at their arriving together. He guides her to the seats reserved for them smiling as he pulls out the chair giving Lily a chance to sit before pushing it up slowly. His smile stays on his face gentle and relaxed as he glances around the room. He spots Kiana and Lund as he leans over to lily. "Is that your brother? I had heard rumors he was injured."

Lily leaned back in and whispered. "It is and he was. I honestly don't know what he is doing here at the table. He should be up in bed," Lily did not even seem to notice how her conversation with him seemed to be so very casual and it was easy to talk with him. "I am even more surprised Kiana allowed it. Kiana is his wife. The red head beside him. She is the healer here and has been watching over his well being like a hawk for weeks now."

Gaisse nods softly his eyes studying both of them for a few moments. "Is it wise for him to be down here then." He touches Lily's hand softly as he glances away pickin up a glass of wine for both of them offering her glass to her first. "I have to admit I was worried that you would hate me Lily."

Lily took the glass with a nod of thanks and rose it to her lips to sip, stumbling a little when the works came from him over his fears. "I have no reason to hate you my lord, you are a total stranger to me. If you don't give me a reason to hate you, how can I?" She looked into the depths of her wine glass and sighed, lowering her voice a bit. "It's you that has the proper reasons to hate me actually..."

Gaisse sips at his wine as he glances around the room slowly. He nods his thanks to the servants as they begin setting out the food before them. ""Why would I hate you Lily? I hope your not speaking of those rumors about you." He turns in his seat slowly to better face lily as he studies her face.

She took up her wine cup to take one last sip of courage from her cup before she sighed and looked towards him, first in his eyes before lowering her gaze in some shame, "They... might not all be rumors...." she told him. "You deserve to know the truth of this relationship. I do not want you tricked into thinking you are getting something from this deal only to find you are stuck with something else in the end."

Gaisse sets his glass down as he reaches for her hand. He gives her hand a soft squeeze as he pauses a moment collecting his thoughts. "Why would you tell me this Lily. I had figured the rumors were just that." He squeezes her hand again as he studies her face softy. "You don't have to tell me anything."

Lily looked down at how his hand took hers and felt terrible he had to find out like this but... "You have a right to know. That is why I tell you." Her eyes glances in the direction of her father a moment, "Especially if you have been lied to. It certainly would not be right for you to go into any kind of arrangement thinking you were something that cannot be offered." She spoke of it like a business deal but then again, wasn't it?

Gaisse nods softly as he continued to hold her hand. "I'm not worried about your past. I'm sure we all have thing we wish we could remove or even take back." He lifts her hand up kissing her skin softly. "What could be so bad that you would want to think I would be disappointed with you."

She hesitated a bit and glanced around, nervously biting her bottom lip before turning her eyes to him once again, "This is not the place to be confessing such things. Not so publicly. Perhaps... perhaps we could speak in private? After dinner? You can... you know tell me the rumors you have heard about me and I can tell you which are truths and which are lies." As she made this deal with him, she truly hoped in her heart that there would be lies to deny and not all truths to confirm with him.

He smiles softly as he nods reaching over to squeeze her hand. "That would be alright with me. Perhaps we could talk in the stables I'm afraid I have something else for you. And to be honest I'm dying to see how you like it. " He smiles as he glances around the room rubbing his eyes softly. "I do have to say you have a fine home here."

She wondered how it could be viewed if they were to retreat after dinner into the stables. She honestly did not know the things being said about her and so had to wonder if making such a move could have only more derogatory rumors spread about her. But then again, she was willing to do as he wanted to keep him happy. "That would be fine. I suppose then it's an after dinner date?" Lily could not help but notice how comfortable Gaisse was making her feel. If just seemed easy to be around him and to talk with him. It felt more friendly then formal even when she was trying to be formal with him for appearances.

Gaisse smiles as he watches her for a few moments. "Lily you seem like more then the rumours I might have heard are bothering you." He places his hand gently against her arm as he sets his wine glass down. "I want you to be comfortable with me and my company. If there is another place that would make you feel better ay ease."

She smiled a little at him and placed her hand on top of his, "No. It's fine. If you have something to show me, then to the stables we shall go." She paused a moment, "Though perhaps we shall just linger in front of them? The smell of the place is rather vulgar after all."

---
Kiana glanced in the direction of Lily and Gaisse before learning into Lund, "They look like they are getting along well enough." She turned to look at him then and clearly was giving him a look over, "And how about you? Are you getting along fine? How do you feel?"

Gaisse smiled at Lily as she mentions the smell of the stables. "My father once had me clean the stables out because I tricked my brother into riding his horse backwards with no saddle. Nearly caused my mother to faint at the sight." He laughs softly as he remembers the sight. "Do you enjoy riding at all?"

---
Lund manages a soft smile as he watches his sister. "She does seem to be doing well with him. Did you notice the circle in her hair." He seems to ignore the question of how he is doing as he eats little off his plate slipping his hand into hers squeezing it tenderly.

Lily could not help but let her jaw drop a moment at his confession over the trick he had played. Then a warm smile crossed her lips, "That sounds like something my brother Lund would have done in his youth." She glanced Lund's way a moment and smiled at him, realizing she'd need some time with him eventually as well. Her attention went back to Gaisse before long, "I know how to ride but not well. I was raised a lady and not on horses often."

---
Kiana gave him a long sigh, "I saw it but that's not what I asked you." She reached out and took his chin, turning his face to look at her directly, "What I asked you was how you were feeling. Don't think you will be away not answering me."

Gaisse laughs softly at Lily confession of her brother doing something like that. "Well it sounds like ill get along well. Is it true that Lady Kiana is a healer and used to be a priestess?" He eats slowly between their talking glancing around a few times, but mostly keeps his attention on her slipping his hand into hers.

---
Lund swallows as she forces him to look at her. Before he can answer she can see the flashes of pain in his eyes even as he speaks. "I'm fine love. You shouldn't worry so much about me." He takes her hand lifting it to his lips kissing softly.

Lily nods, finding herself feeling much more at ease talking about her loved ones then about herself. Kiana and Lund had a much more interesting story behind them compared to boring old her. "Indeed. Kiana is the village healer here. She was trained in a temple on the other side of the mountains. In the war zones. Angus, our captain of the guard here, and Lund saved Kiana and her sister Nessa in the middle of the fighting." She paused a moment, "I'm sorry. It's to many names for you to get use to so quickly, isn't it?"

------
Kiana snatches her hand away and presses it to his forehead feeling it and feeling the heat there. "You're lying. You need to go and lay down. A cool cloth on your head. You have been sitting up in this hard chair for too long. We need to go back upstairs. Excuses us..."

Gaisse blinks as he struggles for a moment to keep up with her and names she mentions. "She remains a healer even with all of this around her. I think I like your family a lot more now." He pauses as he sees Kiana touch Lund forehead. "I believe I met Angus when I first arrived. Seemed a decent man. I can see why he leads your guard." He glances toward Kiana and Lund again. "Is everything alright with your brother?"

---
Lund is quick to pull Kiana hand away from his forehead. "Shh darling. I will be fine for a little longer. I don't wish to upset Lily night when she is enjoying herself." He shifts softly as he winced raising his glass for a quick sip.

Lily turned to look their way, catching Lund pulling Kiana's hand down from his forehead. Her own face got at concerned as she noticed Kiana's was. "I don't know. He had not been feeling well lately. As I said before, I was surprised to see him and now that I look at him..." she was a little worried over Lund's well being.

---
Kiana was as well. "Lund you'll be upsetting Lily much more if you pass out into your soap. Your temperature is starting to rise up again. Your starting to sweat. You can't fool me love and you won't fool others for long either."

Gaisse glances at the couple as he rubs his chin softly. "Do you need to go to him? He looks like he's going to be ill once more." He stands gently moving to pull back Lilys chair to allow her to stand without much effort. "I will wait here for your return my dear.' He lifts her hand kissing it softly.

---
Lund forces himself to smile as he wipes the sweat from his forehead. "I was hoping it was just the fire making me sweat." He pauses seeing Gaisse stand up. "Perhaps I should call it a night. I can see myself back to our rooms. Why don't you stay and mingle for little longer." He pushes himself up to stand kissing her hand once more.
