"That may be how you feel about me...but...I don't think I should come back with you...as much as I feel I want and need to...but...what if I turn into who I once was again...? I'd just be using you again...and who knows what would happen next..." He was so unsure of himself as to whether he should stay with her or not.
 
As she heard what he said she pulled back from him. She couldn't believe he wasn't sure of anything. "Its up to you" she said as she turned and flashed away. her still image left behind faded away. She couldn't stand to hear him speak in such ways about himself. While everything he said she had her own doubts about as well.
 
Nathan sighed as he stood there, alone again as he pondered the thoughts as to what he should do. He hoped he could change...for her...but he just wasn't so sure...He really wanted to be with her, but what could he do to keep him who she fell in love with?
 
Kurai returned to her apartment gripping her shoulder. She really shouldn't move so fast after taking a hit like she had. Collapsing down onto her bed she gave a groan. "Man I'm so stupid" she said to herself as she shook her head. In truth she knew that he wouldn't come back to her even if he wanted too trust it was gone for both of them she was sure he would give up before really giving it a try.
 
Nathan sighed...and looked up to the sky. It was dark...or rather, just getting to that point anyway. He sighed and began to head back to town...not sure whether to say a goodbye to Kurai, or to ask her if she'll give him another chance to change. He hoped whatever decision that would happen would be the best one for the both of them...As time passed, Nathan eventually came to the doorway to her apartment room, and he began to knock on it.
 
Kurai gave a whimper as she heard the knock. Her head was a little dizzy yet as she pulled herself together she went to the door opening it and leaning against the frame. "Nathan?" she asked as she tried harder to look like she was fine since he was there.
 
"No. Its not Nathan." He said in a disguised voice that sounded nothing like him. "Strip and don't call rape or I'll kill you." He joked...though he felt it was so tasteless...especially in this situation. He sighed and walked in and hugged Kurai tightly. "I'm sorry for everything Kurai...I don't want to live without you...Lets...Lets try and live a new life together...as partners in law and lovers...nothing less...deal...?"
 
Kurai shook her head as she walked away turning down the hug. "You should get a better sense of humor" she said as she gave a sigh. "Yeah we'll I need a bath' she faked as she went to the bathroom. When she turned on the water she felt horrible but she was hurting so bad she was sure if he hugged her she would give away how much pain she was in.
 
Seeing her reject the hug wasn't a surprise for him. He simply sighed as he watched her go into the bathroom. He knew things were over between the two of them...if she couldn't hug him after he just said he'd try his best to change for her...though...He knew he shouldn't have joked like he did. Would he keep doing some like those? It would hurt her everytime. "Maybe it IS best if I don't stay...if I'll only be a burden to her..." He said to himself as he walked in, still not sure what to do...or rather...not completely sure as to whether his decision is the right one.
 
As she came out she gave him a soft smile as she had spent a good hour soaking her shoulder. "sorry my shoulder it just really needed to be soaked and rebandaged" she said to him as she came to sit next to him. "I would like that hug now" she said to him as she knew that she should have taken the hug after she saw his face from rejecting it.
 
Hearing her, he simply nodded and hugged her gently, being careful of her shoulder...but even still, he felt like there was nothing in this hug. Like there was nothing in the sex they've done for two years now. Everything without emotion always reminded him of how badly he treated her, and it just killed him inside even more. "Are you alright? Your shoulder isn't hurting too much is it?"
 
Giving a smile she leaned against him in the hug. "Yeah it is just really sore thats all" she lied to him as she knew that he wouldn't want her to push it even before all this happened. "So what shall we have for dinner?' she asked him as she figured it was time to get their minds on something other than what was between them at the moment.
 
"Dunno...What do you want to eat? I'll go and make it, or buy it. You can't move for a while...so just rest. Once we're up and ready to go, we can buy that house and then get our lives back on track, starting with doing our job. Yeah?" He said smiling to her as he petted her between the ears on her head.
