A New Discovery (BlisteredBlood)

Sya smiled and wrapped her arms more around Cyrus as he landed. She then let go of him once they were on the ground. She looked to the dragon wings and reached out to touch them wanting to know what they felt like. she was getting more comfortable around the dragon. She then started to cough again but this time it was worse and she actually had to lean against a tree to keep balance.

Once down on the ground, Cyrus would then fold his wings to his back for a moment before looking over his shoulder as the wings would then slowly recede into his back slowly as he felt Sya begin to move herself out of his arms and then set herself down on the ground also. As much as she would've liked to touch those wings of his, there really wasn't much time for that as of right now. They still had to get to Sya's house - wherever it was around here - and then she would need to get plenty of rest if she was going to be able to move around a bit more. Come to think of it, Cyrus had taken a pretty big risk in coming all of this way, so he wasn't really sure if he was spotted making that landing.

At the sound of Sya's cough, Cyrus looked over to Sya once again as he saw her lean up on a tree to keep her balance. The poor girl. She was definitely going to require some urgent care and quickly. "Come on. We need to get to your house and quickly, Sya." He said to her with the same urgency in his voice.

Sya nodded and started to walk home the rest of the way only stopping a few times because she was coughing to much. She was starting to get a fever as well. They soon walked into the village and ran into an old man that new Sya. "Sya i was worried about you when i did you see you come home last night. Oh i see you have a friend there." The old man said with a smile as he stood up and extended his hand to Cyrus. Sya smile and said "John this is Cyrus he let me stay with him last night because of the storm. Cyrus this is John." She watched John to see how he would act around the dragon.

The whole time he walked back with her, Cyrus's concern for Sya only increased little at the time, pondering if he should just carry her the whole way instead of just letting her lead him on like he was. But he also knew that the only way to get to her house was if she took the lead. At that point, Cyrus only wished that her home wasn't too far from here.

Upon arrival into the town, the two were stopped by an old man that was walking by in the street, apparently someone that Sya knew around here. He was a little bit confused about the fact that he was extending his hand out to him, but from the looks of things, it appeared that it was a form of greetings that humans exchanged. A nod of his head towards the old man - now named John - was how Cyrus answered him before he also stuck his hand out to him, gripping his hand and then offering it a good handshake. "Salutations, Johnathan. As Sya here said, my name is Cyrus." He spoke in a regal tone of voice, despite he wanted to get through this conversation as quickly as possible. Not for nothing, but Sya was clearly getting worse.

John smiled then took his hand back as he said "Well ill let you two go. Sya if you get sicker just come on over and Nancy will make you some soup to help you out. I could hear you coughing on your way here it did not sound good." He then left and Sya stated to walk after saying thank you. She soon got home with Cyrus and let him into her house. As soon as he walked in a small kitten started to meow and rub against his leg.

Sya looked down with a smile "oh im sorry prince you must be hungry give me a minute and ill feed you." She then looked to Cyrus then said "Thats Prince he is my pet kitten. He seems to like you." She then took off her shoes and said "Come on in and make yourself at home." She walked to the kitchen and filled Prince's food dish before heading up stairs to get some medicine. She took the medicine then headed back down stairs "Are you hungry or thirsty?" she asked with a smile.

That's an understatement. Cyrus thought as he heard the two continue to converse up until he bid them farewell, nodding in the same manner as he continued to follow Sya for a little while longer up until they arrived at what appeared to be her house a short while later. At that point, Cyrus let out a sigh of relief at the sight, knowing full well that he would be able to take care of her a little more efficiently than he would've back in the cave some time ago. After a little bit of walking, Cyrus followed Sya inside her house, pausing as he saw a kitten rubbing against his leg once he was inside.

"That's a very adorable creature of yours." Cyrus said as he then knelt down towards the kitten and extended a hand out to it for a moment then stood up onto his feet when he heard Sya informing him that he was free to make himself at home. When he saw her come back downstairs a little while later, Cyrus only shook his head at the offer of food or something to drink before he spoke. "I appreciate the gesture Sya, but I'm fine. I'm more worried about you, however." He answered in a considerate tone of voice.

"i took some medication it will start working soon. Till then i need food." Sya said as she walked into the kitchen and started to cough again it was still really bad since it would take a while for the medicine to start working. After the coughing stopped she moved to the fridge and started to look for something to eat. Sya was not one to take it easy even when sick. She was determined to keep going with how she always did.

At first, Cyrus only looked at Sya with perhaps the most disdainful look that he could ever give someone, accompanied by shaking his head at her with the same frown. He knew that everyone had their limits, and if she wasn't careful, Sya would wind up hitting a figurative brick wall soon. "Alright, but please do me a favor and try and go easy on yourself." He answered her in a bit of a parental like tone of voice.

Sya looked at Cyrus and said "Im fine don't worry so much." She then looked to her kitten that was fallowing Cyrus and it made her giggle. "Prince really likes you. Are all animals like this around you?" She wanted to get off the subject about her health. She then asked "Cyrus will you stay here tonight?" She did not want him to go back to the cave she did not think it was a good place to live.

"Sya, as much as I don't want to argue with you, but your main priority now is to - " Cyrus was about to start in on her when she brought up the question of asking him to stay with her tonight, stopping him dead in his tracks with a blink of his eyes, looking at her with a rather surprised look in his eyes. Normally, he had never been asked anything of the like before in his life, but if it meant that he would get to look after her, then perhaps then he should take her up on the offer.

After a little consideration before bending down to itch the top of Prince's head then turning his focus back up to her a short moment later, he would then extend his other hand out to her with a stern finger pointed straight at her. "Alright, I'll stay," He answered before his tone grew serious. "But you had better rest tonight, Sya. If I catch you moving around, I'll personally have to push you back into bed and remain there until you do fall asleep. Is that understood?" He asked, his tone that while continued to sound paternal, also hinted at the fact that he really did have her best interests at heart.

Sya was making sandwiches as she waited for an answer about her question. When she got an answer she could not help but smile as she saw watched him be all parent like to her. She then picked up the plate with her sandwich on it and stopped at Cyrus and kissed his cheek then said "ill be good." She then walked into the living room and sat down with a smile.

Prince meowed up at Cyrus then fallowed Sya happily. Sya sighed then started to eat as she thought about what it was going to be like to have someone over at her place. She did not have that often and she always new the person really well before hand.

Nodding at her answer, Cyrus would then move to the paror where he would then turn to settle himself on an overstuffed couch, one that seemed to say everything there is about comfort. At least now, he could be more at ease with the fact that Sya would at least listen to what he had to say and not just shrug it off like it was no big deal. That would've been her detriment, that much was certain. After a little bit of silence, Cyrus would then pass a hand through his long black hair, his eyes closed for a moment before reopening them to look back up to Sya as she ate. "So," He began. "I take it you live here all by yourself?" He asked with a quirk of his brow.

Sya hated the silence they were in she was trying to think of something to say as she ate but nothing came to mind thankfully soon Cyrus spoke and asked her a question. She looked to him with a smile then said "Its just me and Prince but because of it Prince gets his own room because its a two bedroom house." It was odd that she had a two bedroom house with no one living with her and with not having people over often. "If you want you can have a shower and clean up im sure after being in that cave so long hot water and soap would feel good." Sya said with a smile she new she was going to have a shower and she was only there for a night.

"It'll be alright, Sya. Besides, I don't really need much." Cyrus answered with a shake of his head before smiling at her in a more reassured manner as he sat on the couch. "After all, I take baths in a pond outside of the cave. It does me wonders, really. You should consider it sometime whenever you and I are out in the woods again." He offered while extending a hand out to her with the same smile on his face, sounding genuinely friendly manner.

Sya smiled at him then said "ill stick to my hot water and soap." She then finished her sandwich before standing up. "So why do you live in the cave instead of a house?" She asked as she walked to the kitchen and put the plate in the sink. She then walked back and asked a more personal question "So if your a dragon do you like had a mate or something back home?"

"Fair enough." Cyrus answered with a nod of his head and smiled at Sya when she told him that she'd much rather stick to her more human confections of hygiene before he would eventually get up off of the couch for a moment before opening his arms out wide, stretching himself with a groan for a little while then let his arms flop down to their respective sides. When he was asked as to why he prefered to live in a cave of all places, Cyrus arched a brow inquisitively before looking over to her and blinked a few times, especially when she spoke of him possibly having a mate or something of that equivalence.

"To be honest with you, I don't really have anyone. I've been on my own as far back as I can recall, really." Cyrus answered with a shake of his head as he kept his eyes on her. "Furthermore, as to why I prefer living in a cave, it's usually my preference as to what kind of dragon I am." He added.

Sya blinked confused she could not see why he would not have a mate he was beautiful she new any female around the town would want him even she would love to have him though she new that was not going to happen plus they just met. "So are you looking for a mate?" She asked not knowing what he was thinking. She had many questions she wanted to ask about him now that the whole dragon thing sinked in.

Once again, Cyrus arched a brow at Sya, looking somewhat offended that she would even ask him of such a question. In response to this, the hybrid simply shook his head at her before he gave his opinion on it and stating it rather emphatically in hopes that she would drop the silly notion altogether. "What is it to you?" He asked, having now crossed his arms in front of his chest before looking at her with a mix between curiosity and annoyance. Curiosity due to the fact that she asked him such a thing and annoyance because she wouldn't drop it.

Sya felt bad when she noticed that Cyrus did not like this talk but she just wanted to know him more. "Sorry i just wanted to know you more...." She muttered as she shifted on the couch. She was not sure what else to say now that he was annoyed.

Shaking his head, Cyrus looked at Sya with the same curious look on his face. "It's alright, Sya. I know you don't know me all that much, but I just wasn't really ready to answer those sorts of questions as of yet. I do hope you understand." He answered before shrugging his shoulders a bit and then crossed his arms in front of his chest once again. "But you're free to ask me anything you like, you know." He then offered her with a gesture of his hand.

Sya was happy that he was not mad at her for her questions then said said "Sorry." she then thought about what else she wanted to know about him before asking "how old are you?" She was not sure if dragon's aged the same as she did or if he was like a hundred years old or something like that. She also hoped to ask him more about his people but she was not sure if that was a good topic or not.

"Think nothing of it, Sya. I appreciate the notion." Cyrus answered with a shake of his head and a smile on his face as he then walked over to the island counter and stopped in front of it before leaning onto it as he was asked her next question. After a little thought, Cyrus smiled still before chuckling a bit. "How old do you think I look?" He asked, chuckling again.

Sya thought as she looked at him and a little happy he asked it gave her a chance to let her eyes rome his beautiful body with out looking weird. She then said "20?" She was not sure if she was right but she did not want to say anything to old and she was always bad a guessing ages.

"Close." Cyrus answered with a finger raised and a smile on his face while winking at her. "In this form, I do look to be in my 20s, but in reality, I'm really 750 years old." He added with a little chuckle of sorts before shrugging his shoulders. "If you don't believe me, you are free to have a look for yourself." He added, smiling a bit before extending his arms outward almost as if he was daring her to look at him under the robe.

Sya could not help but think that she was to young for her since she was in her 20s an he was really 750 but she new that she could just not think about age as a factor. When she was pretty much being dared to look under his robes she flashed red blushing at the thought of seeing his 'perfect' body. "i-i believe you" She muttered then looked away.
