A New Discovery (BlisteredBlood)

Soon after, Cyrus began to take a running start in his dragon form and once he had gotten up to about fifty yards, his wings would the begin to flap rather heavily and then pushed off of the ground, flapping his heavy wings harder and faster still until he had finally began to fly towards the skies above him, peering down at the ground below him. She really could be anywhere in this place had his senses not been so keen, but after some time flying low, he began to notice Sya was over by a thick patch of trees. Narrowing his eyes slightly, he began to move towards that thick patch of trees, easing himself down by rearing himself back and extending his wings outward like that of a massive parachute.

Once down on the ground, Cyrus craned his head around so that he was peering at Sya below him. Granted, his current form might have had a rather terrifying presence, but his expression on his face was actually one that conveyed a gentleness towards her.

"You shouldn't have run off like that. Given this weather, you probably would get frightfully ill out here." Cyrus's human voice spoke, sounding out as clear as crystal.

Sya looked up at the dragon tears in her eyes though the ice rain hid that. She was scared and cold now but when she saw how he looked now and heard his caring voice she was not as scared though his huge form was still scary since she had never seen a dragon but it was not as bad as watching him transform into the dragon.

Sya looked at his face not saying anything as he watched her. she was not sure what to say to him as she sat in the rain her body shivering and her skin going pail from being so cold.

Very easily, Cyrus moved his massive body around Sya, despite she was clearly terrified of him. And well, she had every right to be. Seeing a dragon live and in person was definitely not something anyone - in any lifetime, for that matter - was probably not recommendable for a whole lot of folks, but since Cyrus was at least attempting to not scare her anymore than she currently was at the moment. Once he was in a safe enough proximity to Sya, Cyrus would then lift up one of his wings and hovered it above Sya's form, sheltering her from the rain above her as he continued to keep his eyes down at her.

"It's alright, Sya. You can trust me on this. I will not hurt you." He spoke. "However, I will have to ask you to get as close as you can under me so you'll stay dry."

Sya was to cold and scared to really care that there was a dragon staring at her. After watching him for a little she got up and walked over to him and muttered "Can we go back to the cave tis cold out." The only reason she was talking to him and going near him was because she was thinking maybe this was just a bad dream. Her body was so cold and she was feeling really weak so she new she had to get back to the fire. Sya new her weak human body would not be able to take much more of the weather how it was.

"Of course, Sya. But as I said, you'll have to stick close to me so that you'll remain dry. Last thing we need to have happen to you is come down with something horrid, like pneumonia or something of that sort." Cyrus answered as he still kept his wing held up above her head before beginning to walk slowly all while keeping a set of kind eyes aimed down towards her, knowing full well that she really could come down with something fierce if they remained out here for far too long.

Sya nodded and walked with Cyrus back to the cave. Once finally back she went to the fire and sat down by it in her wet dress. the warmth of the fire felt good on her skin much better then the icy rain. She just hoped in the morning she would find out this was all a bad dream and Cyrus would be human and everything would be alright but she had a feeling it was not going to go so well.

Once the two had arrived back at the cave a short while later - for her sake - Cyrus lowered his body down onto the ground and watched as Sya curled himself down by the fire to warm herself up, hopefully. Besides, there was no tell how long she was out there for and coming back here would seem like a welcoming invitation to get herself back into a normal state.

Sya laid down by the fire as she relaxed and let herself get warm again but soon she was fast asleep very close to the fire letting her clothes dry and her body warm and it was keeping herself from getting sick.

Soon enough, Cyrus would lower his head down onto the ground with his eyes closed in relaxation, though there was a part of him that was relieved at the fact that Sya was now sleeping peacefully. However, Cyrus knew he wasn't going to be able to revert back to his human form for at least a while. But let's look at it this way: If someone snuck in here for whatever reason, they would be swiftly cast out of the place and rather hastily and somewhat unpleasantly, if the intruder harbored any sort of ill intentions. He had quite the knack for identifying the person's true intentions these days.

Sya slept till around 10am. The weather had cleared up but it was still cold out and Sya had gotten sick from last night and she new that because she woke up coughing. slowly she sat up and looked around with tired eyes in till her eyes fell on Cyrus.

By around 10:00 AM, Cyrus would eventually revert back into his human form, awakening to the sound of Sya coughing. To be honest, he wasn't exactly surprised that she would come down with something like she had, but at least it wasn't as severe as he thought. At least not yet, anyway. Soon enough, Cyrus moved himself over to Sya and knelt down near her once he was close enough and placed a hand on her forehead, soon feeling that she had a bit of a fever, shaking his head with a sigh.

"I told you not to leave the cave, Sya." He said with a bit of a frown.

Sya was happy to see Cyrus back to normal but she new it was not all a dream she remembered everything and being sick was proof of it all. She watched as Cyrus moved closer to her and checked to see if she had a fever and she did not surprise there. "I have medicine at home so ill be fine." she said only to start coughing again. The only thing that was really bad about this was that she lived alone so if it got worse she had no one around to help her out.

"Sorry to break this to you," Cyrus said with the same concerned look on his face. "But wherever your home is? It's quite a ways off from here." He added with a shrug of his shoulders before looking out of the cave once again as a bit of a thought came to his mind. Granted, he could get her out of the cave and begin to head for her home, but where was it? After all, he had been here for so long, that he didn't exactly know where he was outside of this cave.

"If I were to get you home Sya," Cyrus spoke again, "Would you be able to guide me there to help you get your medicine?" He asked.

Sya looked down then said "ill be fine till i get home im not that sick." She was sure she would get home before it got to bad or at least she hoped so. When he asked if she could guild him there she sighed and said "im lost to i have no idea how to get home unless i find the path home but im way off the path" she said then said "im never going to get home i guess i can just wander around till i find the path again but im not sure where it is or even what direction."

"Then I guess we're just going to have to take a chance and then fly towards your home." Cyrus answered with a nod of his head as he then stood up onto his feet before looking out of the cave once again. "Sure, there's a risk of me getting spotted from the sky, but if I kept my body into a half transformed state, then perhaps we should be fine." He added as he then brought a hand up to his chin and itched it thoughtfully.

"Half transformed?" She asked not liking the sound of that since his transformation scared her last time she did not want to know how he would look half transformed into a dragon. She was a little scared not lining this idea since she did not know what his full plan was and she had no idea what a half transformed dragon looked like. She the started to cough again it was getting worse and she new that she needed him if she were to get home.

"In other words, I would have to sprout wings." Cyrus explained with an arched eyebrow before looking over to Sya once more then frowned again when he heard her cough. No, this isn't going to cut it. She needed her medicine right now and if this went on for any longer, this would only get worse for her.

Sya was getting worse and her cough was getting louder and it was starting to hurt her when she coughed. Though she was trying to act like everything was fine her body was protesting. "Sorry im fine." She lied then said "Well i guess we better get going before another storm hits."

"Agreed. For your sake and my own, to be honest." Cyrus answered sagely with a nod of his head to follow it before moving over to her and then kneeling down to pick Sya's body off of the ground and once he did this, he stood back up onto his feet before looking out of the cave once again. "Alright, I'll ask you again. Do you know where your town is around here?" He asked before looking back down to her once again with the same concerned look.

"im pretty sure its that way but im not sure." Sya said as she blushed from being picked up. She hoped she was not to heavy though she was very skinny so she was sure she was not heavy to him since he seemed so strong he was a dragon after all. She hoped she was pointing him the right way. As she was in his arms she started to cough more and more it was getting worse already but she had slept in freezing wet clothes even if she was by a fire it was still not good for her.

Nodding in her direction once she was in his arms, Cyrus began to walk out of the cave with a look of focus on his face. As he exited, a set of dragon-like wings would now begin to take form from his back and expanded outward. "Alright Sya, hold on to me as tight as you and can and don't let go. This is going to be a bit of a bumpy ride." Cyrus said as he then flapped those dragon wings heavily as his walking speed began to increase into a run. Once he got enough running distance, he then knelt down and pushed off of his right foot, launching himself into the sky, flapping his wings heavily on his way up.

Sya nodded and held onto Cyrus not letting go of him as he started to walk faster then start running. She let out a small scream as he started to fly but after a few minutes she started to relax and look around never letting go of him. "wow its so beautiful" She said looking down at the forest. She soon saw the path home and pointed Cyrus in the right direction.

Soon enough, Cyrus's wings would then begin to catch the air beneath them as he began to stabilize himself in the air, already having soared to about 200 feet in the air prior to leveling himself out finally. "Enjoy the view, Sya. It only gets better from here on out." He said to her with a chuckle before turning in the direction of where Sya was pointing towards. "Just keep telling me where to go and we should be there soon."

Sya smiled and kept telling him how to get to the small town she lived in all the while she relaxed as she enjoyed everything that was going on. When they got there she told him a good spot to land where he would not be seen. "Just over there no one will see you land then we can walk the rest of the way and i can show you my home."

"Understood." Cyrus answered as he began to look around for a good spot to land so that neither of the two would be seen. At least, that was what he was hoping for as he continued to hang there in the air for a little longer before coming upon a thick patch of trees near someone's backyard. No, that wouldn't work, he figured with a shake of his head. These two would need to land somewhere a bit more secluded than that. Maybe if there was another area that was like that patch of trees but in a more secluded location, then perhaps he'd be able to pull it off without a problem.

Then when he saw the place Sya was pointing out to him, Cyrus nodded again as he then altered his stance to an upright position and opened his wings outward like they were a huge hang glider, allowing him to begin his descent towards the ground at a slower speed.
