Sya pushed her blue bangs back behind her ears as she walked along the forest path. It was mid day and a little chilly out since it was the beginning of fall. She loved watching how the leafs changed colour and how the ground was scattered with so many colours and how the forest was so silent but at the same time it had so much noise.

As she walked along the path like she often did she saw something off the path so she walked over to it and found a single Daisy still alive among the colorful leaves and green brown grass. She smiled as she watched it for a few minutes before she headed deeper into the forest off the path she new so well.

Night time was soon coming and Sya found her self lost not knowing what way the path was she she started to head for what seemed like a cave. when she got there she looked around before carefully heading into the cold cave.

She wasn't alone for very long as she arrived at the cave.

As a mater of fact, there was already another resident that had appeared as though he had lived in this cave for quite some time now, but it wasn't known as how long. But regardless of which, it looked to be well maintained and almost as though it was all ready to be made into a well furnished abode further inside of the cave.

Speaking of the resident, the figure of a human dressed in well tailored clothing, ones that seemed as though they were from another era far removed from this period. After a moment, the man slowly came into view as he walked towards the mouth of the cave as he walked, his long mane of black waving about from side to side before stopping in place for a moment then turned his eye of bright blue towards her with a friendly look to them.

"It's been a while since I've had a visitor in this place," He began. "I almost forgot about how it feels to have unexpected visitors drop by every once in a while." He added with a little laugh.

Sya watched as a man came into view. She thought him to be beautiful and elagent unlike most men in her town. She watched how he walked and looked at his odd clothes only for her eyes to go back to his face to see his smile and what a wonderful thing that was.

"Sorry to intrude but its getting late and im kind of lost so i was hoping to hide out here for the night." Sya said with a smile hoping that was not a problem for him and hoping that he was not some beautiful freak who would take advantage of her.

At that point, the man simply let out a gentle series of chuckles at this woman before he shook his head with a smile on his face before looking out of the cave with the same expression on his face for a moment longer. "It's not a problem. Besides, it doesn't appear to be very friendly out there in terms of the weather. I'm suspecting either freezing rain or possibly sleet out there." He answered before crossing his arms in front of his chest and then glanced back to her. Right then and there, he then realized something wasn't right as indicated by him lifting a hand up to his face and then placed his face into his palm, sighing for a moment.

"Oh, where are my manners!" He exclaimed before looking over to the girl once more and then knelt down and extended a hand to her. "I do hope you'll forgive me of my rudeness, but my name is Cyrus. Cyrus Armoni." He said with the smile returning. "And who might you be?"

Sya looked outside then thought about how she should of brought a jacket with her since all she was wearing as a long dress that had short sleeves. She new if it was really bad out tonight she was going to freeze and she new it. Sya loved being outside and all but she got cold easily.

"Nice to meet you Cyrus. My name is Sya." She said with a smile and took Cyrus' hand and shook it. "Cyrus do you have a fire by any chance. its getting cold out." She asked with a shy smile as she tried not to shiver to much as the sky got darker and it was starting to rain out and it was cold rain to make it worse which made the cave cold.

"I do, as a matter of fact. It's further inside the cave, if you follow me. Besides, I know how bad this can get." Cyrus answered with a nod of his head as he stood up straight then turned around and began to lead the way to move further inside of the cave. "You'll have to apologize for me not knowing you were coming here, though. I have yet to get the furnishings I need to make this place seem a more more hospitable for others if they so choose to come this way. But then again, not many ever do." He admitted with a bit of a frown on his face as he folded his hands together in front of himself as he continued to walk.

Sya smiled and fallowed the stranger further into the cave she made sure to stay close since it was kind of dark there. As they walked she listened to what he was saying and it made her want to know why he was here in the first place it was not really a good place to be and he could easily get sick being n a cold damp cave. Since she didn't really know him she did not want to just start asking things like that so she kept it to herself for now. Once at the fire she sat close to it to warm up her cold body. "Thank you so much this is so much better."

Once they were further inside of the cave, Cyrus would then direct her over to the fire therein before moving off to the side of Sya. "Feel free to make yourself at home. Besides, you're not going anywhere with this storm over us. My guess is that you'll be here for a few hours, at best." He admitted with a shrug of his shoulders and then smiled at her once more before he then sat beside her after a little while.

"So, tell me a bit about yourself, Sya." He asked after sitting beside her.

Sya sat down hear the fire and let the warmth of it sooth her acing bones and warm her cold skin. "Your very kind thank you. Ill leave in the morning when the storm is gone though i hope i can find my way home i seemed to have gotten lost well i was out." She said then she looked to him when he sat beside her.

"There is not much to say about me. i love to go for walks in the forest i got lost this time though. I live in a small town i work at a pet store and i love all animals thats about my life." She answered.

Cyrus nodded in reply as he then leaned back a bit, propping himself up onto his hands as he leaned back with a smile on his face. "Well, how about I take you back myself? It's the least I can do for you since it'll be a bit of a rough way back for you." He answered with a shrug of his shoulders before turning his head towards her with the same smile.

When he heard her little story, Cyrus became a little bit curious about her words, for in truth, he hadn't heard of those things before. "Pardon my inquisitiveness, but I'm afraid that I haven't heard of this thing you called a pet store before. Can you clue me in on what they sell?" He asked.

Sya smiled happy that Cyrus was going to help her home. She was not sure how long it would take her to get home with out help so this made her relax a lot more now that she did not have to worry about being lost in the forest longer tomorrow.

"A pet store is a store we sell pets. Pets are animals that live with humans. You must not have ever lived in a town before if you don't know that. I myself own a kitten. He is so cute. i named him Prince because he is my little prince."

"Interesting..." Cyrus answered with a curious brow raised. "I'll have to visit one of these pet stores and take a look for it for myself one day when I'm in your little town. Who knows, I might even take up a residence there instead of this stuffy old cave." He added with a little laugh of sorts before smiling once again. "Tell me, what's the town where you live is like?" Cyrus then asked, seeming as though he wanted to know everything about this person and then some.

Sya smiled and then started talking about her town. "The town is small and very peaceful the people there are kind and there is not a lot of crime there." she went on to talk about the places and the mall the schools and the people who came to her store she talked about how she moved there all alone in her house just to be closer to the forest.

After a little bit of thought as he heard Sya tell him about the town, Cyrus began to smile a little more at this information before chuckling a bit in reply. "Well, I'm not sure how they would view someone like me." Cyrus answered with another chuckle before he then laid down onto his back with his eyes closed in thought. "Besides," He added with a sigh even as the same smile seemed to remain there on his face. "I'm not sure if you knew this about me, but I'm not exactly what you would call 'human'." He concluded before reopening his eyes and then turning them over to her.

"Im sure they would except you you seem a little odd but im sure your not to different then some of them." Sya said with a small giggle then watched as he laid down and sighed. When he said he was not human she raised an eye brow then asked "What do you mean not human? how can you not be human you look human." she was confused by this but how she thought of it was maybe he was a little crazy or something so he thought he was not human.

"Well," Cyrus answered as he began to think about revealing his true self to Sya. "You're right about that. But to be honest with you, I'm honestly only half of that." He admitted as he turned his eyes up to her once more before sitting up.

"I mean after all, how do you think this cave got to be this way? I certain couldn't have dug it out with my own two hands. That would take years - centuries, even - to remotely dig out an inch worth of rocks, dirt and what-have-you. Have you felt the rock walls when you came in here?" Cyrus explained as he then stood up onto his feet and then walked over to the wall before putting a hand onto it. "Come here for a moment, if you please and put your hand right here. Can you feel how smooth they feel?"

Sya didn't understand what he was getting at she had not thought about t=how that cave got there at all since she had never been in this area before she just thought it had always been here like most caves were just there. She thought nothing of the cave she was more concerned why there was someone living in the cave in the first place and why he seemed so at home there.

Sya listened to what Cyrus had to say then she got up and walked over to the wall of the cave. It was so smooth she had never thought stone could get like that. "Wow its so smooth. Thats amazing." She said softly as she ran her hand over it and closed her eyes as she leaned on it some. Sya loved the earth and everything around her so being there put her at ease and relaxed her so easily.

"That's because I had to dig it out by hand - or rather, by claw - in my dragon form." Cyrus answered pointedly. "Afterwards, I tunneled into it by turning myself around lots and lots of times and when I was done, I fell asleep for quite a while." He added with a shrug of his shoulders as if he was being purely modest about it.

"But, at least it's almost done. All I need to do now is to get some furnishings into here and I should be all set." Cyrus spoke one more time before turning around and placing his back against the wall with his arms crossed in front of his chest.

"Dragon? Theres no such thing as dragons good story though." Sya said with a smile like she new this for sure. In her mind they did not exist she had never seen one or herd of any flying around so they clearly did not exist. She was not going to just believe that he was telling the truth. Sya then went back to the fire to keep warm.

Cyrus simply arched an eyebrow in reply when Sya didn't really believe his statement that he was a half dragon hybrid. At this point, this was where he began to ponder about the fact that if he were to reveal his true self to her, would she able to handle it? And even if she could, what would her reaction be? Would she run in terror, faint dead away or something else entirely? Hm. Awkward moment... He thought as he brought a hand up to his chin and tapped it thoughtfully.

"Alright then," Cyrus said as he then got off of the wall a little while later. "I suppose I might as well show you." He added before closing his eyes in concentration.

Sya shook her head there was no way she was going to believe him and to add to that disbelief she thought he was insane to wanting to show her. "Cyrus you don't have to show you anything i know they do not exist its a fairy tail thats all." She said not wanting Cyrus to make a fool out of himself. She may not know Cyrus but she liked him because he was kind to her when she needed help but with him wanting to prove he was a dragon it just made her think he was pathetic.

Her words would go unheeded, or possibly even to the point where they fell upon deaf ears. As a matter of fact, Cyrus was so deep in concentration, that it seemed like he couldn't hear anything at all. After a good three minutes, Cyrus reopened his eyes again, but this time they looked far different than they had been originally, taking on an appearance of two freshly made snowballs.

And within moments, A transformation would soon take place right in front of Sya, his posture changing and growing little at a time, followed by a set of large, leathery wings jutting out of his back. His hands and fingers took on the appearance of lizard like paws, accented by what would appear as sharp looking talons. Still, Cyrus's body began to grow and change, as his body would now be accented by a series of scales, ones that looked as though they were made entirely from solid platinum. Even his face would now begin to alter and shift, steadily taking on a more dragon-like appearance even as a set of horns began to form out of his head, sweeping all the way to the back of his head. Leaning down onto all fours, Cyrus's body not only continued to increase in size, but also in length now. Only difference was that it was beginning to increase more and more at a frightening pace little at a time. Within minutes, Cyrus's transformation wasn't complete yet, but already he was clearly towering over her at an unprecedented size and length.

Sya stood up when she saw the snowball like eyes that Cyrus now had. in a shaky voice she said "Cyrus are you ok?" She then started to back away as he started to change shape into a dragon. even though she was seeing it before her own eyes she could not believe it and started to back away from him towards the entrence of the cave. She was scared of him now she did not think of his as human nor as dragon but as a monster since she was not use to this and could not see him as the kind man that was helping her out.

Before he finished his transformation she got out of the cave and into the cold ice raining weather in her think dress. If she was out to long she would probably get very sick but she was scared and not thinking all she could think was Cyrus was changing into something big and menacing looking.

By the time the transformation was now completed, Cyrus's body had now taken on his true form, measuring at least 20' long from the tip of his snout to the very tip of his tail. His wingspan was nearly about as long as he was in width terms and his scales were now glistening like so much freshly driven snow. When he had reopened his now nearly white-blue eyes a moment later and glanced around, he began to notice that Sya had already made a run for it. Given the nature of the weather outside the cave, he knew that was a foolish mistake of her to do that.

But already, Cyrus began to pick up on the scent of Sya's fear and reacting on this, Cyrus began to move his hulking body towards the mouth of the cave and popped his long necked head out, looking around once more. Where could she have gone... He thought before once again catching her scent a little bit later. Soon enough, the rest of his body would then move out of the cave when his legs moved, heading for that scent.

Sya had found a tree to hide under were less ice rain got to her but it was still not good to be out. She was sitting on the wet ground with her legs pulled against her chest. Not not just seeing Cyrus changing was scaring her but she was scared to be out side alone in this weather at night. She had nto seen what Cyrus looked like fully transformed and if she had she would of seen the beauty in it but since she just saw his body transforming that was what scared her and made her think of him as a monster.
