Angel's and Demons

"Dreams that seemed to come true..." he echoed as he thought about it a moment, but in his time he had never heard of anyone being killed for such reasons. However he knew that he had no idea of why things were done in some cultures unless he lived among them, and he had tried to stay away from all of the wars that were fought. "That sounds like a premonition, my mother sometimes had dreams like that and only recently have I learned what they were called. I'm sorry your own people killed you for things you couldn't stop..." Nanoki replied lightly running his fingers down her arm.

Aurora shook her head, "what if it happens again. I don't want it tohappen again , what if you think I'm crazy" she had real fear in her eyes, as clung tight to him.

He was slightly confused and asked "What if what happens again? If you have premonitions then it happens, but you wont be killed this time. As I said my mother had premonitions, so I wont think you're crazy. As a matter of fact if you have any tell me about them, so we can deal with them when the time comes." Nanoki leaned forward nuzzling her neck softly murmuring "Nothing is going to happen to you if I have anything to say about it."

"have times really changed so much" she mumbled softly. She wonder what the world had truly become. She was burned alive in her day. Now it seemed that people were ok with people who are different. She had a lot to learn. "Thank you Nanoki for that. It helps." She kissed his cheek, and settled down to fall a sleep, but she still held tight to him just in case.

"Yes times have changed greatly especially over the last hundred years or so." he answered softly. Holding her close Nanoki started to lightly hum a tune his mother had sung for him when he was a child. Trying to help her relax, and fall asleep the way he always did hearing it. Closing his eyes he remembered his mother the way he had seen her before watching her murder, and remembering how sweet, kind, and loving she was. Tears started falling silently from his eyes as he remembered those days and missed his parents. Yet he wondered if he would be in this same situation if his parents were still alive.

Aurora yawned and her eyes closed. Her body felt so tired she didn't know it could feel that way. But it did and to her it felt oddly wonderful. She knew now nothing bad was going to happen and she could relax. She in Nanoki's arms after all and she knew it was the perfect place to fall a sleep. She yawned again as she drifted off to sleep.

He continued to hum softly as he watched the past unfold once more, but this time it was bearable because he knew he didn't have to relive it. Taking a moment he wiped his eyes, and he snuggled closer to Aurora. Before he knew it he had fell asleep dreaming of nothing in particular, but it seemed something was wrong yet Nanoki couldn't place his finger on it.

Aurora slept deeply through the night. No dreams came to fill her head. She had no worries. She just slept.

(sorry my post are so short tonight really hard to think not feeling well :( )

(It's alright, I hope you feel better soon though.)

He woke up several time through out the night, and wondered why he did. Yet nothing came to him as to why he would have woken up, quietly he looked around the room seeing nothing and he went back to sleep. The last time he awoke Nanoki looked at his watch, seeing that it was almost time for the sun to rise he slowly, and carefully slipped from the bed. Lightly he kissed Aurora's forehead slipping silently out of the room, his normal routine was to meditate and exercise so he would stay in to fighting shape. He sat in front of the sliding glass door that served as the back door with his eyes closed meditating and focusing himself, after half an hour he moved to the back porch and started his routine.

No dreams came to her in the night, it was her first peaceful sleep. The feeling was enchanced by the fact she was pressed against Nanoki. The who night reminder against not once finding the need to turned over or away. Maybe he was the fact she could sleep so soundly. When the sun started to rise that was when Aurora finally began to stir. Her eyes fluttered open and she yawned. She noticed he was not there.

she did notice him though on the back porch. moved from the bed to stand in the door way of the porch. Just watching him.

It was a calm night for him, and there would be no complaint from him since it was all peaceful. His meditation went well especially after the great night of sleep. Slowly he looked around the back porch smiling to himself, but despite the fact that it was quiet now did not mean it would stay that way. It meant that now more than ever his training would have to push his limits, and it would mean that when they decided to come it would be with a lot more force than before.

He slowly started his kata, and slowly went through each of the specific movements with precision and grace. Nanoki flowed from one move to the next until he had his twin katana in his hands, so he went through the next step of his kata which consisted of armed combat techniques.

Aurora watched his movements. They were so flowed she had never seen anything it. She wondered though why he needed such training. Did he truly believe there would be an attack on him? she wasn't certain but she knew she would do everything in her power not to let that happen. She stood in the door way watching him not wanting to bother him she knew just by the way he carried himself this was important to him.

He had been doing these kata for as long as he could remember, and his father was the one that started this regiment of daily training. He had also been taught that the precision of each move of the set was an art form, so that to master the kata and to strive for its perfection was the highest honor one could give to their master. Since his father had passed down the kata he used it was for the honor of his father that he worked for so many hours to perfect, and execute each move with precision including the armed kata. Slowly Nanoki finished the exercises, and sheathed his weapons with that done he moved to his knees with his head down. For a few moments he let his head drop as he sent thanks to his ancestors and his parents.

In her heart Aurora wished that Nanoki wouldn't have to try like this to make sure he would protect himself. Why did there have to be this silly fighting. She knew after seeing this she would put an end to it all. She watched when he dropped to his knee. She knew prayer when she saw one. She too prayed in that moment, wishing for an end, praying for peace, praying for happiness for Nanoki.

Standing he let go of his blades, and as they left his hands they disappeared to return to their places on the wall of the living room. That was one thing he enjoyed about the way his ancestors kept anyone from taking their possessions, the spell took a while but it was well worth it especially when one could call the items back to them when they wanted. Nanoki turned to see Aurora, and smiled at her lightly as he walked to the door. "Good morning, how did you sleep?"

Aurora was lost in her own thought when his voice reached her ears. "Oh very well. I hope you did too" She then moved to him and kissed his cheek. "You are wonderful with the sword, i can tell you have a great passion for it" She smiled at him. "I hope i did not bother you while i watching." She questioned innocently hoping that it was ok with him.

He chuckle softly at her, but smiled tenderly and replied "I slept better than I hve in a long while." Which was the truth when he thought about it, but he could not plce why since normally he was up until well after midnight and got up before the sun. As she moved to kiss his cheek he smiled, and gently wrapped his arms around her lightly kissing her cheek in return. "No you weren't bothering me. I just finished. Thank you for the compliment, but I've been working with swords for as long as I can remember so I don't think it's anything special." he replied.

Aurora smiled a little. but then her face turned sadder. "I am sorry that you have to practice for so long, it is not right" She drewa and deep breath and sighed. "I will change it though" she said softly. She didn't like this talk all though so she decided she change the subject. "Well umm what shall we do today?"

His smile fled the moment she looked sad, for some reason her looking sad hurt him. "Don't be sorry... I do it because I enjoy it, and it lets me feel closer..." his voice trailed off for a moment. Tenderly he pressed his lips to hers for a few moments before pulling away, and adding "It lets me feel closer to my father. I haven't told anyone this for a long time... However I think it might be time to. My mother, and father were murdered by a group of thugs that I learned later, had been hired by an angel over three hundred years ago. I was only a child at the time, and I only barely managed to escape."

As she changed the subject Nanoki smiled again, and thought quietly for a moment but realized that it would not be right for him to chose so he asked "What would you like to do today?"

Aurora turned to say something, but was distracted by a figure on the porch now. It was Michael, "Yes so sad and tragic when a murdering demon loses his parents." Michael gave a laugh. "And now what Nanoki, you think you can turn my sister into your whore, to make her feel sorry for you."

"What are you doing here Michael!" She demanded. She clung to Nanoki, Using her powers to keep a barrier between them and Michael.

"I've come to bring you back"

Hearing the one voice he had not wanted to hear for a while he dropped into a crouch spinning to meet Michael's eyes, and he welcomed this confrontation because it meant that he may be able to rid himself of this pest once and for all. "Well now, you finally got off your lazy ass and managed to find me after all this time. You really have no room to talk however, because before I killed your little pion I was told you were the one that ordered the attack on my family. Now tell me exactly whom the murderer is..."

Nanoki growled a word that may have seemed incoherent to the Angel's ears, but within seconds his blades appeared in his hands ready for battle, and seeming to sing for the Archangel's blood. "What if she doesn't want to go with you? Are you going to kill her like you kill anyone else that doesn't do what you say?" he asked almost conversationally.

"I mean it wouldn't be anything to you since you don't care, yet may I remind you that despite your best efforts I'm still here. So it seems that you're not as great as you thought you were, and if you had been any smarter you should have tried again when I was a child." he added with a chuckle. However he turned serious once again saying "I didn't force her to come here, nor would I keep her against her will. It's her decision as to what she wants to do, neither of us can change that."

Michael snarled at him. "You are a sad excuse for a demon aren't you." He took a step but was stopped but Aurora's barrier. "I see you are using your powers Sister. But how long do you think you can keep it up?" He laughed. "as for you Nanoki, you have served a greater purpose to me a live than dead. Have you yet to realize that all the demons you have crossed paths with seem to turn up dead? Hmm why do you think that is." Michael laughed.

Aurora knew how angry Nanoki was to have Michael here. She was angry herself. "Shut your Fucken mouth Michael. You keep this shit up and i will kill you, and don't think i won't, and I don't think father will miss you. You be gone you bastard." SHe just like before with a flick of her hand Michael was gone." Aurora never found herself using words like that, She had been worked into such a rage that she couldn't control herself.

He watched Michael for a few moments talking about how sad a demon he was, which brought forth a vicious laugh from deep within his throat. "Talk about a sad excuse for anything, you're too stupid to know that if you had gotten rid of me before now you would have an unobstructed shot at all the demons. However you're too fucking stupid to realize that, oh and by the way why do you think I stay away from my own kind now dumb ass..." Had he not seen Michael repelled he would have moved to attack him, and end all of this once and for all.

Her words brought him up short, he had never thought that Aurora would use words like that. The fact that she was using those types of words made him realize that she was just as angry as he was, but with Michael there was no telling what the reason other than he knew Michael was an idiot. After Michael was gone he let his guard down, and released his swords sighing knowing that it was time to leave once again.

Aurora was still angry. "That son of bitch who the hell does he think he is coming here" She mumbling to herself. She clenched her fist so tight that her knuckles were turning white. "I am going to kill that SOB" she did not like the fact that he called her Nanoki's whore. She loved Nanoki. Her anger just fuming off her so much that it cause clouds to form in the sky, and thunder started to rattle.

The way Aurora kept going had him worried, because he had never seen anyone that angry. Her words reinforced that feeling, and he did not know what to do. Being at a loss as far as what to do was completely new to him. He dd the only thing he could think of, and wrapped his arms around her to kiss her tenderly. "Calm down darling. It's not worth it, because he's gone for the time being. If necessary we'll leave here. Please calm down for me though."
