To the person below me...

I have a recurrent dream where a Devil Woman comes to me, treats me like a bag of shit, fucks my brains out and flaps away into the darkness; usually the bedsheets are pretty well starched when I wake up!

To the one below me: since we're all role-players, have you ever gotten so into a role-play that you couldn't imagine not being in it?

Several! I found myself often so attached to roleplays in my earlier years that I'd start to get all emotional if there wasn't a new post when I got online, and when one of them closed down, I usually cried. What a wimp I was! Pffft! (I'm so sad....;_;....poor roleplays, I miss thee)

Dear Poster Below Me: If you had to pick your favorite character that another player has ever created in a roleplay you were in, who would you pick and what were they like?

I would pick one of my first people i rped with her character was some gem I can't remember but I liked her because the sheer randomness and humor she gave off was intoxicating in fact some of my own characters are based off her to some degree.

To the one below me:what type of rping do you like most? (Fantasy, scifi, slice of life, ect..) why and did you start out liking it the most or did you grow into it?

When I came aboard, I considered myself a Classic/Medieval/Fantasy role-player; but recently, I've become "involved" in two slice-of-life 'plays of more than six months' duration (and on-going), which have, each in its own way, been very satisfying and enlightening. It now appears, after a couple failed 'plays in my former "specialty", that I've changed....

During your role-playing experiences, have you ever prevailed (or sought to prevail) on your partner to make changes in his/her character?

Not entirely.

I find a character to be malleable due to the partner's moods ( if shared ).
Though the few times I have made suggestions it has been less about changing a character.
More over I like the unknown and learning each character as they come along... make things a little more 'fun'.

Question to whom it concerns:

What has been a few ways to create a your a story during a bit of writer's block? ( outside influences, a muse, etc ? )

I find inspiration in the things I enjoy. I play a game, I watch a movie, or do some other activity. I then allow my brain to wonder. I think about the plot of story I'm experiencing: how would I continue it, or how would I write a prequel? I consider character motivations and personalities, and adapt them into my own characters. I essentially work off of the things I enjoy, borrowing ideas and toying with what is before me. When I can come enjoy something I respect and love, I might just get the urge to make something myself.

That being said, I'm often creatively blocked, and don't always have success circumventing that block.

Hey you, with the HAIR:

What is role-playing? To you, what makes a post a role-play reply or just a bit of writing? Is there even any difference to you?

Don't knock it if you can't grow it!

Now, that is a very good question! Both are sentences (paragraphs, et c.) in a story; but while a role-player's response is governed by his partner's last post, and may, wittingly or not, seek to influence his partner's next post, solitary writing must observe no such constraints. The good part is: you get help, and it's often fascinating how two minds orbit their common center of literary mass. The sticking point for many, however, is that there's almost no control, unless one writer completely dominates the other (where's the fun in that?). Which brings me to my question for the next critter: in role-playing, do you feel that story-planning is a good and fruitful activity - or is it just a collegial form of cheating?

I think a little is okay. I like surprises in a story. Shove those characters into a room give them the scenario and let's get at it!

Now, my dear victi-volun-answerer person,
If you were stuck on a island with Charlie Sheen, what would you do?

The Sheen himself? Shake his hand for successfully trolling most of the US with his interviews. Most of them were nothing but sarcasm. Nice job, dude.

NEXT!
Do you watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and if so, who is your favorite pony?

Oh god no...no no no.

To the person below me...

Do you have any books you're currently reading or movies you're in the middle of?

Charlie Chaplin's The Gold Rush is the movie I'm currently watching.

To the person below me:

What would you do if you were told a "day off" of exercise was to run three miles?

Non-existent; coffee sucks.

Cheytac .408 or Barrett .50?

Barrett .50 (And since I have no idea what either of those are, I'm just picking the one that sounds the coolest!) Ha!

What do you enjoy most about summer?

Happens quite often, which I don't usually mind too much, but perhaps it's a sign I really need to spend more time in developing the storyline with the RP partner ahead of time or just communicate better where I'd like the story to go. :)

Have you ever had a RP that was inspired soley by a music video?

Yes, on more than one occassion, actually. I hate doing that, and will usually let it go for a post or two, hoping to get us back on track without asking her/him to change their post. :( On the other hand, I have been asked to change mine, also, to keep with my partners storyline idea.

What is ONE RP setting you simply will not do? (i.e. rape? incest? necrophilia? etc...)

Well, of the three you posit, I'd say necrophilia; there are others. MYSELF PERSONALLY (as opposed to any person who might have been the next poster), my no-no's can be found in my Rabbit Hole, a link to which should automatically appear beneath my avatar.

Same question to the next poster.

I agree with you, Prince. Of the three, necrophilia is one I could NEVER get into as a fantasy or anything else. *Shudders!*

Have you ever read a book with over 1000 pages?

Sure.

You're in your brand-new boss's office, settling a couple of ground rules. He produces a crystal decanter of expensive bourbon and two glasses, also crystal. He asks you if you'd "like a little dust-cutter". Do you accept, to foster collegiality, or decline and "play it safe"?

I would have to decline because I think that could possibly set you up for problems and misunderstandings down the road.

What is your most favorite place to be in the whole world?

Boston! I would love to go in the fall to see all the beautiful fall colors!

If you opened up your wallet right now, what would be the first thing you'd see?
