Skye was just looking over for a brief moment before she was waving. "I think that.... I am going to close the case. There not being enough evidence to determine who the thief or thieves were." Nicolas was speaking after a moment in time. And it was partially the truth - they did have evidence but it truly wasn't nearly enough to make a conviction.
 
Nicolas was just giving a nod of his head before he was speaking, "Whatever works. I had to truly think about it. And the question I had to ask myself is if they did truly break any laws where another was harmed? Sure they took stuff but.... as I think about it I see it more as reclaiming what was theirs. And nothing else was ever taken, destroyed, nobody was ever hurt."
 
Nicolas was just commenting that he honestly didn't think that he deserved life at all, but they weren't a state that did executions at all.
 
Nicolas was just letting out a breath before he was looking towards Skye, who was just looking at something on her phone. It wasn't long before he was snagging her phone at her overwhelmed expression just to see that she had a text from her former landlord. A demand that she pay him what was owed him - and then he was trying to claim that the apartment was cleaned, and money was coming from her deposit. Yet Nicolas knew that that was a lie - he had personally gone to oversee the cleaning - some of the guys from the cleaning department at the station had come to help deep clean the hell out of that apartment. Honestly it was so clean that it seemed like it had never been rented out.
 
Max looked at the message as well and then chuckled "good thing you took pictures" Max knew that the apartment was clean as he had helped as well so he knew they had photos of the apartment and he would love to see what happened when he was sued
 
"He is threatening to sue her for nonpayment." Nicolas was speaking after a moment in time as he read the next message that came though. No he wasn't going to even let Skye deal with this anymore, she was already stressed about the situation as it was.
 
Skye was just looking for a moment in time at the questions that he was asking her, wanting to get her statement about what had happened. No thinking back on it definitely had her shaken up but Nicolas was there to help keep her calmer as well.
