The Art Thief's Obsession (LunarWolf and Guardian Angel)

Nox was just letting out a slow breath of air before he was nodding before he was speaking, "Y...Yeah."
 
Max took a deep breath as they headed out "we will get her back Nox" he didn't promise because he couldn't make that sort of promise but he could say that they would get her back.
 
Nox was just speaking, "Yeah... Alright..." With that he was actually hanging up and looking at another picture that was being sent to him of his sister. She looked like she was partially conscious but there was fear and pain in her eyes. He doubted that she had been conscious for a long period of time before fading back into darkness.
 
Man got in to the cart with Nate and then speed off two other cars following them to the location. Max just hoped that they could find her in the house
 
When they did arrive at the house they would see that it looked almost abandoned, not a single light being seen on in the house at all. They wouldn't know that the basement light was on until the entered the house and opened the door, as there were no windows in the basement. This is where Luna was laying on the cold concrete floor unconscious once again while the man was just pacing back and forth, just looking at a canvas that was in front of him. There was some red on the canvas, blood from the wound on Luna's head from where he had struck her with a candle holder. What would get the police tensing up when they did get to the house and were quietly creeping into the house was the sudden feminine scream. A scream from Luna when the man was roughly grabbing her by her hair and yanking her up, his knife dragging across her arm for blood to drink into the "paint" cup that he had.
 
the cops moved quietly so that they didn't alert the man and then headed down in to the basement after hearing her scream. Max tensed as did Nate but they all moved past and in one group the busted in to the basement and headed to where they two were guns trained on the man who had a hold of Luna ready to shoot and kill him
 
The man was looking up as he heard the door bust open. He was still just holding Luna up by her hair at that point in time. The young woman's arm now bleeding from where he had cut her and matted blood was clear as day on her side of her head from where she had been bleeding. It looked like at the time it had started to stop but it was hard to tell. "Get any closer and I'll kill her." was all the man was saying and shifting his grip on Luna, the knife now pressed against her neck.
 
Max shifted and took aim aiming for his shoulder that was holding the knife before he spoke to Luna "Luna do you trust me?" he knew he was asking for a lot but he needed to know she trusted him to do the right thing
 
Luna was barely with it at that point in time, barely hearing his voice. No she was trying her hardest to not pass out but it was difficult. Her head was swimming and black dots were dancing in her vision at that point in time. But if he did pay attention to her hands he would see her give a very faint thumbs up.
 
Max saw the tombs up and nodded his head before taking aim. he warned the male to release her or he would shoot and when the man didn't do as ordered he took aim at the arm that was holding the knife and put a bullet through the mans shoulder and then through his upper torso when the man moved and he had a clean shot.
 
Luna was being shoved away from the man when he was being shot so that he could try and run away, the young woman just crumbling to the ground almost instantly.
 
Nate went after the man along with several other cops while Max went to Luna and carefully picked her up and hugged her close "your safe now"
 
Luna still seemed to be conscious although just barely even when Max ended up getting to her. She did end up passing out in his arms - but he could at least tell that she was breathing which was good. Her breathing was slightly labored but nothing too dangerous.
 
Max carried her out of the room and then out of the house and headed for the ambulance that was waiting for them. Max got Luna settled on the stretcher and then joined her in the ambulance. Max then shot a pick of Luna to Nox and informed him of where they were going
 
Nox had been pacing a bit although it wasn't long before he was getting a picture from Max of his sister, a picture that actually had him stopping. Dead stop nonetheless. With that he was messaging and asking what hospital they were going to as he was rushing to grab his keys.
 
Max assured his his sister was ok and then told him the hospital they were going to be at. Max sat back as they raced to the hospital so she could be looked at and have her head looked over to make sure no other damage was done
 
Nox was just rushing to his car so that he could head to the hospital as soon as possible - although making sure that he wasn't too reckless either. Wouldn't do him any good if he got into an accident on his way there.
 
Max stayed with her the whole time even when she had to go through scans claiming she was an important witness who needed to be protected. this way if she woke up she would be able to see him and not panic too much
 
Luna didn't seem to wake up at all - and it was determined that she was definitely going to need stitches to the gash that was on her head. Thankfully there didn't seem to be any internal damage; just the cut on her sculp. Then there was the cut on her arm from when the madman had cut her - otherwise all of the scans came back to show that she had no other injuries. "We did do some blood work and we did find some drugs in her system as well." a nurse was telling Max after a moment in time - important information to know. It was just a sedative - which was how he had managed to originally knock her out to get her into the basement. The bash to the head had been after she had started to come out of the sedation and tried to run.
 
Max nodded his head as he listened to the doctor and nurse speak "her bother will be here shortly and he will be panicked when he arrives but please show him back" Max didn't want to come between the two of them and he knew that Nox needed to see his sister
 
This had the doctor nodding for a brief moment in time before he was stating, "When he does arrive, if you could just verify that he is in fact who he says he is."
 
"of course" Max didn't blame the doctor for his caution and he had no problem verifying who he was when he did arrive at the hospital.
 
This had the doctor nodding and soon they were getting Luna taken care of - stitched up and moved to a room so that she could rest.
 
Max stayed with her and stayed out of the way of the doctors and nurses when they came in and worked but other then that he did leave her side
 
It didn't take Nox long to arrive at the hospital and he was let into the room after he was verified. Although it was another few hours before Luna seemed to be waking up, and she was definitely waking up confused. But at least Nox was in the room at the time.
