The Art Thief's Obsession (LunarWolf and Guardian Angel)

both Nate and Max cursed and and wanted to throw things at his escape but since they knew who they were after they would have to work fast to find him once more
 
Nox was just chuckling a bit before he was looking to see that he got more information about the location of another painting.
 
after a few hours Nate and Max left the scene and headed back to the station where they added the missing painting to the list of paintings that had been stolen
 
The next couple of days did pass by although the cops didn't seem to get anywhere closer to finding answers. It would be discovered that another painting had been sold to somebody else; which would make trying to track it down a bit difficult. Although the person who had bought it just happened to be that of the murderer from so long ago - who was hoping to get his target to come out.
 
Nate and Max were sitting at their desk working on the case but coming up with nothing but dead ends. They had managed to track the paintings that were still out there all but one and they had collected them and placed them in evidence letting the "owners" know that they were part of a murder case and hadn't been sold by the painter. Nate and Max hoped that this would draw the thief out but they didn't have their hopes up.
 
Nox was getting information about where some of the paintings had gone too which only had him groaning when he was realizing that the police had taken a number of the paintings into their custody. Well that was absolutely annoying and was going to make trying to get them back a pain in the ass. And there was one that had been bought from whoever possessed it at the time - and there was a few details about where they could find it. A private owner it seemed right down the street. This had Luna just commenting that she was about to walk down the road to talk to the private owner, see how much they were willing to sell the paintings for.
 
nate and Max soon reached out to the twins about the paintings to see if they had reported them stolen at the time of the murders
 
Nox was answering his phone when it had gone off and was answering it to hear the inquiry from the officers. As he was speaking to them, Luna was heading down the street so that she could speak to the private seller, see how much she could offer to buy the painting. "Some of them we did report as stolen. But not all of them. There were so many of them that it was difficult to try and remember all of them that were taken. Just a few months ago we found our mother's diary which listed all of her paintings that were in the art gallery at our home." Nox was speaking after a moment in time.
 
"if you can bring a list of the missing paintings to the station at some point or email it to us that would be a big help in getting them returned to you once we have solved the case" Nate spoke lightly and hoped they could get the list
 
Nox was just commenting, "I need to actually look through the list to double check. There are some of them on the list that hadn't actually been stolen at the time - as at the time they hadn't been up for display." And that wasn't a lie at all either, there were some of the paintings that had been in the room but they had just been covered and propped against the wall at the time. Their mother hadn't actually gotten around to putting them up.
 
"ok just let us know and we will work on getting them returned to you as soon as we can" nate then wished him well and hung up
 
Nox was hanging up after a moment in time before letting out a breath of air and going over to look at the list that he had. It wasn't long before he was jotting down a list although being sure not to include those that they had already taken back. After all nobody what the true list looked like; and he was crossing off the few that hadn't been taken at all. Next to those that they needed back still he was writing a brief description of what they looked like.
 
Max and Nate waited for him to send the list over so that when it arrived they could compare the list to what they collected from the others who had bought the works and note if they were among the original stolen works
 
Soon enough Nox was sending back the list that he had gotten finished - a picture of it anyways. Then he was adding a text that said he had included a brief description of the pictures since there were a number of them that didn't actually have names on them. As a family they knew the names of the paintings but their mother hadn't actually put names on some of them. Yet again those ones were ones that were suppose to be kept within the house, they were more memories if anything. More personal.
 
Nate texted back that they had received it and that he hoped to have news for them soon. Nate then went to work comparing the paintings they had gotten to the list and nodded his head as all but one had been collected.
 
Nox was giving a nod of his head before he was just leaning back a bit before letting out a breath of air. Although after a bit he did find himself looking at his phone realizing that it had been quite some time since his sister had left and he hadn't heard anything from her. This had a frown decorating his lips before he was calling her phone only for it to ring and ring and ring. Eventually going to voicemail. Well that was beyond strange. She always answered her phone. Yet again perhaps she was just really into speaking about art with this person. "Ill give her another hour...." he was mumbling to himself.
 
while he was waiting for his sister Nate was working with Max to get the owners of the stolen paintings to agree to return them to the original owners as they had been sold to them with out being properly declared
 
After an hour, Nox found himself worrying when he wasn't hearing anything from Luna at all. Now her phone was ringing once and going straight to voicemail - which told him that he was being hung up on. And that wasn't like Luna at all unless something was wrong, or somebody else had her phone at the time. This had him nibbling on his lip a bit before he was looking around some to see if she had written down the address to where she was going. No address, but there was a name. He could hack and find information but he figured that he should go the safe route and contact the authorities. There was something that was telling him that his sister was in danger. With that he was taking out his phone and dialing Max's number since he had it in his phone and calling him.
 
Max answered his phone when it rang and he saw Nox's number "hey we were just about to call you we have got some great news for you" Max didn't know Nox was calling because of trouble so he was just going about his normal day
 
Nox was just listening to him before he was speaking, "While I want to hear it.... It can wait. I need help. Luna had somebody reach out about one of our mother's paintings, a picture was sent of it. She went to go meet up with this person but she hasn't returned. I have tried to call her but it rings once and goes to voicemail; which isn't normal for her. I don't have an address but I have a name of the person...." No this asking for help was a difficult thing although it wasn't long before his watch buzzed as a text came through which had him drawing his phone from his ear and putting Max on speaker so that he could look at the text. A text from Luna. Although it was obvious that it wasn't from Luna. Not with the picture being of her laying on the ground unconscious and there was obvious blood on the ground around her head. There was definitely a startled gasp from him when he saw that.
 
"Nox I need you to tell me the name or give me your sisters number so I can trace her phones location" Max heard the gasp and he went to work pulling his system up so that he could find out where Luna had gone and while he wanted to lecture Nox about letting her go somewhere alone he knew now wasn't the time
 
Nox was just speaking in a low voice, "She is hurt....." With that he was actually giving both the man's name and his sister's number. Although when Max would actually look up the man's name - he would find that it was to a real person. But when he would pull up the information about the person he would see that it was the person who had been painted by Luna. The supposed murderer.
 
Max cursed and then went to work on gathering the people he needed to go and get Luna back "what ever you do Nox do not give sin to his demands we have her location and are headed there now
 
Nox was just speaking after a moment in time, "What is going on? And I haven't received any demands... just a picture of her. She is laying on the ground with blood under her head. I cant tell if she is alive or not." No he was definitely wanting to panic at that point in time - his twin sister was in danger and he didn't know where to look at all.
 
"Nox I need you calm we know where she is and we are going to get her and the person who hurt her I will call you once we have her and know what hospital she is going too I will personally stay with her till you arrive" Max grabbed his keys and a group of cops headed out to head to the mans location as Nate had gotten and emergency warrant signed
