After Rin's party was over, Firestar returned to his own realm. It was not long after that they got an alert. A portal had opened in California.

"I'd better go check that out. You coming with, Rin?"

Scott and Rin went through a Fire Path to the sight of the disturbance. He had put on his Voltari Armor. There was a white portal shimmering before them. A mysterious black figure stepped out of it, shimmering with a purple aura.

"Who are you?"

The figure did not answer, immediately going on the attack with both he and Crusader throwing punches in close proximity but neither landing on the other.

Rin would then move the gun on the top to shoot in a line when she could se him again but keeping high and back from anything.
