Jett sat up straight at the idea of the police being just outside. He swallowed hard, his mind thinking about the situation. Letting out a deep breath he replied to her.

"We stay put for right now. The cops don't know who took it and they won't be looking for us. It will look suspicious if we try to leave; especially since we'll need another set of wheels. Everything we took with us is in the room so the car isn't of any further use. If need be, we can knock the cops out. We can't let them see us of course; I can't wipe their minds. This is reality, not science fiction." Slowly Jett moved to the window.

"Can you tell what they're thinking?" He asked as he looked outside.
 
"They're wondering which room has the thieves" She said "One of them is frustrated that the manager didn't see who had the car".

"We'll have to leave soon after wards. Do you sense anyone that we could...borrow...a few things from without alerting the police to? Or even someone that we could get rid of and no one would care?" He asked, his mind trying to come up with an escape plan.

Jett stood waiting, his power flaring up a little as she said that someone was nearing the cops. He tried to steady his heart while waiting for his sister to work. He said nothing, knowing that she would need to concentrate on her task if they were to be successful. He let out several deep breaths and felt his mind calm down.
 
She relaxed as the woman turned and walked away unnoticed by the cops. A smile slid across her lips and she turned to Jett and nodded.

"It worked..." She said with a light sigh "I'm going to see if I can make the cops leave...that should let us get away".

She turned her mind to the cops it'd be harder because she'd have to send the suggestion to them both. Closing her eyes she focused on them both suggesting that they didn't have the right car. Hopefully she'd be able to send them to a different motel and they could grab another car.
