Horizons of the Vast - IC Thread (NSFW)

Ashria had leveled his weapon at one of the alien creatures when he heard the doctor's call. "Of course they would need to domesticate local wildlife, should have taken the pulsecaster. Foolish Ashria, damn foolish." He mutters to himself as he puts away his weapon, and wills the solar mote to become a sword once more. He letting the beetles get in close is dangerous, he knows he needs cannot risk anyone's lives by shooting into a melee.

Move action: Put away artillery laser. Standard Action: Summon solar weapon. Stellar mode: One Photon point gained, photon mode entered.

Leda drew her pistol and aimed at the crazed beetles. She didn't fire at first, but once the molebeetles approached in a very unfrinedly fashion and attacked, she fired at the one that was closing in on her and tried to claw her. Her shot hit the mole-beetle, but it wasn't enough to stop it in its tracks.

The flying aasimar Ashria put away his artillery laser and activated his solar weapon.

Most of the Mole-beetles spent their turn approaching the party on the landing ramp. However two of them reached the hapless explorers, one attacking Leda and another attacking Estelle. The android journalist was quick enough to avoid the attack, but Estelle wasn't that lucky. The large claws wounded her leg (6 slashing damage).

Estelle that had just been clawed by the alien creature, tried to no avail to calm it. It didn't seem like the beetle wanted anything to do with her, except to make lunch out of her.

Cayden tried to get the other colonists to fire at the creatures, but the chaos was just too consuming. No one even managed to get their firearms out. Cayden himself did however manage to draw his infinity lash - a pink version of that.

"Oh heck no! Nobody bites Momma Doc but me!" Cayden said protectively as he twirled the lash and brought the gleaming edge down on the molebeetle's neck

"Wow, I mean I know I'm not a huge star yet, but I would have thought you all loved me a bit more than that!" He called out again to the rest of the settlers, trying a different tactic this time, pouting.

Though her first instinct was true to her character as a person, the frenzy of the situation caught her too off-guard, and the insects were too aggressive for her attempt at diplomacy to have a chance at working. One of their thick, stumpy, clawed legs lashed out across her leg and tore through her jumpsuit and the Second Skin armor.

“-AH!- Shit!” She cried out in Triaxian, her native language growing up. Looking down and brushing her hand over the wound, the large gash began leaking crimson down her leg; staining her clothes, and then the ground below. Her medical knowledge was adept such that she knew it had missed any major arteries, but another two or three hits like that and she’d be dead before the mission even really began.

She partially wanted to stay and protect Cayden, but her little femboy could likely take more hits than her and she wasn’t good to anyone unconscious. Estelle unfurled her wings and flapped enough to gather some wind and lift herself up in the air, drawing her caustoject pistol as she did so.

Move action to fly straight up, since flying up is half speed that puts her feet 15ft in the air. This also provokes from any adjacent beetles.

Second move action to draw her caustoject, since she doesn’t have a BAB of +1 and cannot do that as part of her movement.

Ashria's wings began to glow as he absorbed more solar energy. The wigged man moved quickly closing his wings as he descended back down to the ground at a harrowing pace. The warrior landed behind the bug attacking Leda, bringing the blade of solar energy down toward the beetle's chitin.

Solar mode: gain one photon point. At 2 now.

Holding off until it wasn't really possible anymore, Leda puts a bullet into the beetle as it menaces her, just barely leaning away from her attacker's claws. She, at least, was luckier than the doctor in that regard. Much as the android was ready to put an end to the mole that was harassing her, Ashria was much quicker to focus on it that she was, and she did not want Estelle to be attacked any more, and she raised her pistol to fire at the one that hit her, having put space between her and her prior assailant in the case the aasimar hadn't finished it.

Move Action: Guarded Step back away from the Molebeetle five feet. (Upwards, specifically)
Standard Action: Fire Tactical Semi-Auto at the Molebeetle to the right of Estelle.
Results: 16 to hit for 4 Piercing Damage.

Leda took a step away from the molebeetle that threatened her and fired her pistol at one of the beetles that threatened the doctor that had just been hurt. Her shot hit the beetle, damaging it severely. But the frenzied creature kept fighting.

Next, Ashria landed behind one of the beetles and swung his solar weapon, squashing the molebeetle, killing it in the same instance.

Beetles next to Cayden attacks him, both missing the nimble femboy. The one in front of Leda, climbed onto the ramp and attacked her, hitting with it's claw (3 slashing damage), while another molebeetle approached the ramp and also climbed onto the ramp, moving all the way up to Leda. The last living beetle, moved up to Ashira and tried to claw him with his ceremonial plate armor taking the brunt of the force, leaving him unharmed underneath the armor.

Estelle, more in panic than anything else, flapped her wings to get away from the beetles, in the only direction they couldn't follow. She got airborne, but not before one of the beetles slashed her again with it's large claws (5 slashing damage)

Cayden swing his pink lash, killing off one of the beetles and then he with a combination of oratory skills and promises of sex, encouraged someone to fire their weapon at a molebeetle. The one that had just hit Leda fell dead to the ground.

There were now three of the alien arthropods.

Seeing the creatures begin to fall one by one, the tiefling tried to regulate her breathing as the searing pain from now two strikes to her legs burned her nervous system. There was a somewhat alarming amount of blood now dripping down underneath her and properly staining the ground.

Quickly judging the situation, her eyes darted to Leda and the beetle that was now somewhat cornering her on the ramp. Estelle quickly snapped up a serum-like concoction from her Microlab and with a smooth motion, loaded it into her caustoject pistol. She fired it at Leda, the mechanism inside siphoning off the chemical and injecting it straight into the android's artificial bloodstream; a faint blue laser-like line flashing out the muzzle of the weapon.

Carefully she also retrieved a healing serum, in case anyone should need it quickly.

Standard action to use a basic biohack on Leda and give her +1 AC, no attack role needed since she's a willing ally programmed into Estelle's microlab.
Move action to take out a healing serum just to have it ready.

...Free action to silently cry as blood leaks out of her legs 😣

Cayden dances gracefully on the battlefield as easily as he does on stage, dodging potentially dangerous attacks before cracking back with his whip once more and encouraging the settlers as well. However, he forgets to actually say anything in the heat of battle.

Cayden will atrack the one on Leda with his Lash if it's still alive, if not he will attack the one on himself.

Attack: 13, Damage: 2

Having helped to put an end to the beetles attacking Estelle, Leda braces as she watches two beetles bear down on her. One seemed to have been out of position, but as the android was watching that one warily, the much closer one got a good scratch in. It wasn't around much longer than that as a settler brings it low. She turns to them with a quick nod, and takes a look at how things are shaping up on the battlefield.

Satisfied with what she sees, Leda distances herself further back towards the ship as she lines up a shot as she feels something affect her that isn't a claw. A flare of panic shoots up her spine as she follows the line of energy back to Estelle, and assumes that whatever she's felt is not an attack on her life, but something to aid her. Nonetheless, she shoots at the beetle that's closest to her, but finds no purchase as she's still shaking from both the pain and the surprise earlier.

Move Action: Guarded Step away from Molebeetle (To the left)
Standard Action: Fire Tactical Semi-Auto Pistol
Results: Natural One on the attack.

Ashria whistled a merry tune as he did his job, far more comfortable battling violent creatures than siting peacefully on the ship. His wings burned with solar energy as he continued gathering more power. His golden armor began to glow from the light generated by his photonic power finally fully attuned to the light. He strode forward five feet to the next beetle the song on his lips rose in tempo as he swung his blade to slay the next bug.

Solar mode: One photon point gained: Photon mode fully attuned.
Move action: Step five feet closer to beetle to the right.
Standard action: Attack beetle with solar weapon. Attack roll 18 Damage roll 10

The android tried to get away from the beetle, while firing her pistol. She didn't have any luck hitting the creature and the good doctor could praise herself lucky that she was now airborne and out of the way of the wayward bullet.

Ashria used her solarion weapon to cleave one of the beetles in two, leaving naught but two smoldering parts of the former creature.

The beetle, next to Leda, followed her and tried to claw her. It was too clumsy and fell over its own feet before even threatening the android journalist.

The other molebeetle tried to attack Cayden with a full attack. But the desperate attacks didn't hit the nimble femboy.

The good airborne doctor aimed her rifle at Leda, giving the android a basic biohack.
The pink haired femboy used his lash to slash at the creature that was attacking Leda, he hit it, but didn't do much damage. His lewd movements and suggestions were more distracting for the settlers than of any real help.

Focusing her adrenaline and properly pissed off at the beetles now- not that she'd show it much outwardly- Estelle's eyes flashed red as she uttered once more under her breath in Triaxian.

"Stay the fuck away from MY COLONISTS." It came out in a low tone, and she gestured her free hand at the beetle closest to the ship. A whisp of magic energy erupted and pierced into the beast's head, as she sent a powerful mind thrust with the words 'MY COLONISTS' invading it's head and wrecking havoc around it's insectine skull.

Casting Mind Thrust at first level on the beetle closest to the ship:
2d10 = 14 damage; DC 15 Will save for half.

Obviously if it turns out all the beetles are dead by the time Estelle's turn comes around then disregard.

The golden man continued to hum his merry tune, he marched toward the beetle battling Leda. He doesn't forget his manners as he passed beneath Estelle. "Pardon me, ma'am. Just passing through. Watch your toes." Ashria warned the doctor in a jolly tone, laser focused on killing the next enemy even as he passed under the doctor's legs. His blade of sunlight was swung at the beetle battling Leda.

Solar mode: One photon point gained: Photon mode fully attuned. Four points total.
Move action: Move twenty-five feet to the left.
Standard action: Attack beetle with solar weapon. Attack roll 12 Damage 6

As the beetles kept on approaching, Leda felt immediately like she was losing ground. She was, thankfully, beset upon by a rather clumsy beetle, but lining up a shot in front of it was not worth testing to see if it was completely incompetent. The Android tries to retreat further into the ship away from the beetle as she tries to line up on the beetle harassing her, but as it looked like both Estelle and Ashria were keen on attacking it, Leda turned to the one nearest Cayden and - taking advantage of the beetle being locked in by his strange method of fighting - takes her shot at it.

Move Action: Guarded Step five feet to the left.
Standard Action: Shoot beetle near Cayden.
Results: 9 to hit for 2 piercing damage.

Cayden continues to dodge attacks, attempting to inspire his allies to action as best he can. He attacks the bug in melee with him with a graceful lash twirl, and urges everyone else on to victory.

"Almost there everyone, then we can start making this place our own!"

Attack roll (nat 1): 6

The battle was going in the colonists favor.

The aasimar with the glowing sword felled a beetle with one heavy hit. And while Leda's shot missed, the beetle attacking Cayden, so did the beetle's attack against the pink femboy.

Though wounded, Estelle managed to mindthrust the last beetle, melting it's too small brain, leaving it a dead husk.

There were a few moments of silence as everybody waited for more beetles to appear. But none did, the place was just as serene and quiet as when they had arrived.

Satisfied that the threat had been dealt with, Estelle's adrenaline began to subside and the searing pain in her leg began to ring through her entire nervous system. Ever caring as she was, she looked around the rest of her comrades but quickly realized she had taken the worst of what the beetles had to offer. Hole-digging bastards.

The blue tiefling slowly lowered herself until she could gently land on one leg, using the side of the landing ramp for support. She grasped in her bag for one of her healing serums, and jabbed the syringe-like applicator into her exposed neck with a slight *hiss* of pressure being released. Her muscles visibly tightened as the mixture entered her bloodstream, the wounds on her leg stitching themselves up just a little as if their healing had been put through a brief timelapse. She tossed the now empty vial into her bag and let out an audible sigh of relief.

"So!" She smiled turning back to her party as she walked out forward, her gait now confident once again having been healed a little. "I've found the first fauna to add to the catalog of our brand new ecosystem!" Speaking as she wrote in a brief note entry about the mole-beetles on her comm unit.

Used a Mk1 Healing Serum,
1d8 = 1 hp recovered, bringing her to 7/10 hp.

As the battle ended so too did Ashria's tune. "Doctor, are you sure you are alright?" The warrior dismissed his solar blade and examined the scene. The beetles had made it significantly closer to the ship than Ashria was comfortable with. In addition the beetles had done significant damage to the doctor. He made a note to capture wildlife via pulserifle for examination, and possible domestication.

"I'd say our first encounter with the wildlife was successful. Good work everyone." The aasimar encouraged his team. "I am curious if these creatures are edible? Augmenting our food supplies so that we don't have to dip into the preserved rations would put my mind at ease." The warrior seemed ill at ease on the utopian world, preferring battle to peace.

"Alright, good job everyone!" Cayden said, celebrating and blowing kisses to those that had helped out. Then he realized that Estelle and Led were hurt.

"Holycrapareyoutwookay? That's a lot of blood!"
He said, panicking some as they seemed to be wounded, and he checked himself over with his hands real quick. Thankfully, he had the ame number of holes and bulges that he was supposed to have.

“I admit it still stings a little, but I’ve had much worse my darlings. You both are so precious being concerned for me like that!” She said as an answer to Ashria and Cayden’s concerns, finishing her small entry and pocketing the comm unit. She looked over at Leda with a concerned motherly gaze, eyes darting up and down the android’s figure. Whether she was checking her out or diagnosing injuries was anyone’s guess… but probably both.

“Some proper care and good bed rest should do both of us well. Come see me before bed and I’ll help you feel much better~” A sly wink followed, the Dr. Nevautu never one to be shy about teasing or getting ‘hands-on’ with her patients.

As the beetles were taken down, and the adrenaline-adjacent feeling that flooded through Leda calmed itself, it was as if she was first noticing the cut on her leg, and sucks a breath in as she lowers herself to the ramp. She kicks away the corpse for room to spread her cut leg and takes a look at it. As Cayden and Ashria express their concern, Leda nods and speaks after the doctor. "If she says she's fine, then I'm pretty sure I can't complain. Definitely seems she got it worse than me..."

Despite the brave face she puts on, the Android winces as she puts some pressure on her wound to stop it from bleeding. She wasn't looking forward to getting blood out of her clothing, and she turns to look where the beetles emerged from the ground. "Small blessin', but at least now we know to prepare for things that can burrow without too much pain. Might be worth settin' up some sort of countermeasures for that."

Leda's drone returns from its skyward vantage point, and feeling eyes on her, she nods at the Doctor's offer. Having been with her a while, the doublespeak didn't bother the android too much. She knew well that if the doctor wanted something, she'd feel no reservations in asking for it. She simply nods at Estelle. "I'll take ya up on that, Doc. It'd be good for ya to get experience with these kinda wounds, they might be common." Slowly, Leda stands, testing the weight on her leg until she's satisfied that the damage was not debilitating. She casts a glance around to see if there were any other metaphorical fires what needed putting out with the other colonists, but mostly waits to see what comes next.

Most of the colonists were understandably worried that they had been attacked even before they touched the soil of their new home. But the calm demeanor of the four administrators and the way they had handled themselves in the battle, was after all reaffirming to them.

With the mole-beetles dealt with, the settlers could begin constructing the first few prefabricated buildings. They've had weeks to prepare, so the first buildings were going up within hours.

It was late in the afternoon, local time and the first housings were already up and running. The four administrators would have some time to relax and rest after the dangerous ordeal.

If you want to do something special for the next few hours, feel free.
If anyone wants to investigate and dissect the mole beetles, they need to make a Life science check.

Estelle took Ashria's advice and cut a small sample of the nearest mole-beetle for analysis, and directed the colonists accordingly whether the bugs were toxic or not. She thrived on field work, the scrap with the mole-beetles not seeming to phase her very much despite the still-large scars still visible on her leg.

The doctor took care to see the colonists set up the small medical room built off the side of the largest housing unit. She would barely even call it a medbay... it was more of a med-closet. They didn't exactly have the resources to establish a state-of-the-art hospital complete with a cybermedicine ward and emergency landing pad for small starships. Unfortunately her line of work often on the fringes of civilization meant she'd only had access to this kind of advanced facility during her certification process on Absalom Station. One day, she thought, they'd have everything she needed here.

Though always one to keep busy, Estelle was a creature of lust... and were she not so disciplined she might be considered especially horny even by futanari standards. Saving up the energy, she found, resulted in that much better of a release. Slowly... slowly... as the day dragged into late afternoon, Estelle could feel the itch scratching her. Her spine tingling anytime she got close to someone else, the feeling of her cock growing hard under her tight jumpsuit and armor, tight enough that it began to leave little to the imagination.

She watched like hawk, silently waiting for Cayden to find his way into his newly-built bunk room. Waiting just a moment, she knocked twice with one knuckle before opening the door. She cocked her hip to the side, resting one hand on it while the other trailed along the underside of her breasts, finding the zipper and pulling it down one... click... at a time, until it was nearly halfway down.

“You wouldn’t happen to know where I could find a big, strong boy to take care of me~?” She drawled in a low voice, biting her lip. The thin tail swayed side-to-side behind her.

Life Science check on the mole-beetles

Estelle will also take a 10-minute short rest during this time, restoring her Stamina to full by spending 1 resolve.

Cayden had helped out building things, more instructing than anytjing else, his body was not exactly built for that kind of labour. The day progressed on and his heels tracked all around the landing site, before finally ending up in his bunk room. The pink haired male heard the small knock and turned to see the half exposed breasts and bulge of his motherly doctor.

"Not really, but I bet I could take their place, Doc." He replied with a lustful look on his face. "Want a nice, long throating? Or do you want my rumblerump?" He asked, turning around and letting his cheeks applaud the tiefling's efforts today.
