Gabby would settle into the rig, going ahead and pulling her gun to check the battery charge. The complex little gnome-designed laser gun was compact and had a setting to make it a cryo-ray, which had sounded cool to the goblin. But honestly Gabby hadn't really ever had to use it in a real fight before, only some test shots down a shooting range. "If they don't immediately start trying to kill us, I'd like to try to talk with them. We might be able to save time and blood if I can talk them down." She at least had learned how to speak Goblin, so even if she was a bit of an outsider she figured she had a chance.

The city was a constant buzz. Spacecraft hummed in nearby docking facilities and zoomed overhead, while merchants and crowds of tourists chattered; the rumbling engine of the cargo rig below merged seamlessly into the urban symphony. As the spaceport came back into view, up ahead, an old woman pushing a cart across the street yelped in alarm as her cart tipped over and rusty tanks of petrol tumbled out, scattering in every direction. Traffic stopped and drivers in nearby vehicles shouted, but the old woman ignored them. Instead, she walked slowly to one of the rolling tanks, picked it up, and carefully cradling it in her arms as she returned to the fallen cart.

The traffic was halting as the slow moving elderly woman tried to pick up her rusty tanks. But it seemed like the old lady is not what she appeared to be. Vask and Gabby, clearly noticed the telltale signs of her mechanical movements. This was a very crude robot that had been dressed up as an old lady.

Vask was quick to jump into action as his mercenary background screamed to him that this was a very typical trap. Pushing open the left rear door that he was sitting at, he began to climb out of the vehicle while giving orders to the others. "Slave, watch the rig and that robot. Everyone else to the cargo, make a perimeter. Weapons free." A congested traffic jam caused by a roughshod robot was perfect cover for larceny and he wasn't having any of it. Might he be overreacting? Perhaps, but far better to be cautious than to lose crates because of a lazy attitude.

Gabby tilted her head as she watched the strange old lady. Noticing something was off, her eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Hey isn't that," she started though never got to finish. Vask had far more keen combat instincts than she did, and he realized it was a likely trap far before she did. With his barked orders, Gabby quickly scrambled out of the cabin and started to move towards the trailer and its cargo, aiming to take some cover. While she would prefer to talk her way out of this combat, well that wouldn't matter if someone put a bolt through her head.

Vask's quick reactions order them all out of the vehicle, with the exception of Tani. The little lizard follows orders and stays put, even if he knows he'd be better up close and personal with whoever would attack.

As they exit the rig, they see three goblins on junkcycles approach from the alleys and stop right next to the load on the rig. The cycles are equipped with saddlebags, conveniently sized to hold the types of crates that the rig is now carrying.

"Fuckers! They are going to steal our cargo." Drisala said as the nanites in her body began to form a solid object from the thin air.

Not only were the Goblins here, they were mounted up on bikes and quite ready to snatch their cargo. Wideyed Gabby pulled her gun and began running her butt off to close the distance, realizing any shot she made would be wildly inaccurate at this range. (Goblin)"Don't you dare!" She yelled out in her racial tongue

Move: Draw Scout Gun
Standard: Use as Move Action to move 35 feet towards Goblin 3

Vask hauled his heavy weapon out of the vehicle along with himself, leveling it towards the nearest goblin on his side of the trailer as he started to move closer to secure a better shot. In the meantime he focused inward, tapping into the corruption that had forced him out of his tribe and willing four dark tendrils to burst forth from his back; each slipping out of his armor from four small holes that would automatically open to facilitate this process. "Stealing from me is a mistake." His voice boomed through the filter on his helmet, amplified the sound though introducing some crackling artifacts to the audio. Tani had offered to clean that up but Vask liked it, it sounded more intimidating in his opinion.

Each of the four tentacles were identical but they appeared... wrong, like they didn't belong even beyond the fact that shobhad did not naturally have such appendages. Their coloration was far darker than the rest of his skin, looking closer to a charcoal-black and in comparison to the leathery nature of Vask's flesh these seemed smoother and almost glossy; perhaps a little bit wet. In any case these were just for show at the moment as he pulled the trigger on his Arc Caster, hoping to not only fry the nearest goblin but the other one at the back of the trailer as well thanks to the arcing nature of electricity. The resulting screech and flash of brilliant blue lightning was utterly satisfying, though washed out his vision momentarily so that he could not see the results of his shot just yet.

-Move 40ft to the right towards Goblin Bike 1 and draw both Arc Caster and his Adaptive Strike thanks to the Double Draw feat.

-Attack goblin 1 with Arc Caster: [1d20+4]=10+4=14
Damage (If applicable): [1d8]=6 (Electrical)
First Arc: [1d6]=4 (Electrical) I think goblin 2 is just within 10ft to get hit by this? Though I'm not sure if the vehicle itself would count as a target since it's whoever/whatever is closest within 10ft.

A large Shobhad design, sniper rifle forms in the hands of Drisala. She aims it at the goblin that is clearly visible on her side of the truck and fires. The bullet goes over the head of the goblin.

Gabby starts running towards the looting goblins as she draws her pistol

The large Shobhad warrior begins moving as he draws his huge gun. He aims it at the closest goblin and fires. The goblin's body is wracked with electricity and it slumps lifeless to the ground. The arc finds the next goblin and fries it (4 electric damage), however without taking it down.

Tani leans out of the window and trails her gun at the robot lady. As she starts moving her fires his gun. He hits the robot hard (4 piercing damage), but it keeps on moving.

The robot lady that had already started to move towards Drisala, stopped about ten feet short of the drow. From nozzles in her chest a burst of super heated flames emerged in a 15-foot cone and doused the drow in hot fire. However that also caused the petrol can on the ground next to them both to explode. Drisala was seriously injured by the hot flames (9 fire damage)

The two remaining goblins each moved a crate from the rig onto their cycles.

Gabby was closing in on her opponent when the world exploded behind her. Glancing back as she ran, the Goblin looked wide-eyed at the flames, and her companion set aflame. Her eyes widen at the sight, hesitating in her step as she thinks about going back and helping, keep the robot from hurting them further. A glance back forward to see the goblin ahead snatching crates brings to mind Vask's orders, though she doesn't care that much about that. One last look back shows Drisala seeming to rally a little and for Tani to join the fray, and that's when she makes up her mind. 'I'll trust the two of them can handle it...'

Continuing to run towards her distant kin she put fingers to her lips to whistle, aiming to grab his attention. (Goblin)"Oi, wouldn't you rather be after something more sexy!?" Then, as the goblin turned to look over her gorgeous body, Gabby went and shot a bolt of cryo energy at the poor sod. She felt a little bad about it.

As concerned as he was about the fireball behind him, certainly glancing back to see the flames for a moment, Vask was focused more on not losing the cargo. Both Drisala and Tani were still by the rig, they could handle whatever was going on back there; though he wasn't fully certain of what Gabby was doing at the moment since she was relatively hidden from his view by the contents of the trailer.

Vask kept advancing, a four-armed and four-tentacled juggernaut bearing down on the far smaller goblins that remained, but the narrow confines and the bike of the fallen creature prevented him from just rushing into melee range, instead forcing him to fire another crackling blast of lightning. This time aimed for the goblin at the very back of the trailer.

-Moves another 40ft to the east.

-Attack against Goblin 2: [1d20+4]=12+4=16 vs EAC
Damage: [1d8]=7 (Electrical)
First Arc: There are no applicable targets on the grid for this so unless there's a civilian within 10ft it doesn't happen. If there is though, well, they are probably fucked. [1d6]=4

Drisala took another step back as she fired the sniper rifle. The shot went wide and she cursed at her luck. Being a precog that could predict the future wasn't helping her jack.

Gabby had more luck as she tricked the goblin on the junkcycle. He grabbed his cock and balls and smiled at her, just as she raised her gun and put a cryo bolt right between his eyes. He fell to the ground like a sack of bones.

Vask was on an electrocution spree. The goblin that tried to use the rig as cover while stealing the crates was hit by a full blast of the lightning gun. The goblin's eyes popped out of its head as it's brain started to boil from the electricity.

Tani's entropic strike hit the robot lady square in the chest, burning a hole (6 Acid Damage) in the robot's disguise. However the robot swung at Tani hitting him on the jaw, causing him to spit blood at the powerful strike (10 Damage B).

Dris, standing behind Tani, cried out, "Little lizard. Are you alright?"

The only surviving opponent was the robot lady.

Gabby almost gagged a little at seeing the Goblin collapse so suddenly. She felt horrible at what just happened, and her oversized ears twitched at the carnage being wrought by Vask not so far away. Yet she didn't let herself think about it, didn't let herself linger on the first person she'd ever shot. She couldn't afford to have a nervous breakdown right now.

Turning on her heels, Gabby started to run back to her companions, since it turns out that the distraction was far more dangerous than the goblin bikers. This time she didn't bother to speak Goblin, just kind of yelling at the machine as she approached. "Hey rusty!" She then let loose a shot, but it went wild, so far over the heads of the fight that it had no chance of hitting anyone.

Vask had no such problems with the violence, instead his mind was slipping more and more into a bestial state as the conflict continued and shifted away from his normally tactical mindset and into that of a violent beast eager to destroy all that challenged his authority. Digging the heels of his boots as he came to a stop and spun around, the shobhad grunted and growled as he hurried back the way he had came; focusing only on getting into a position which he could contribute to killing what enemy yet remained.

At 3 MP Vask is no longer able to utilize patience or concentration thanks to the drawback of the Vital Niche.

Double move 90ft to the west (his speed is currently 45 due to 3 MP increasing his speed another 5ft). Unfortunately he can't charge because his movement leaves him 5ft out of range of the robot even with his reach.

As her nanites were both knitting her own and Tani's wounds, Drisala moved to get an advantage on the robot. During her move she drew her knife and she tried to stab the robot, but to no avail.

Gabby began running towards the robot, firing her pistol, but without coming close to hitting the damn critter.

Vask, with his enhanced speed ran towards Tani and Drisala fighting the robot. He just couldn't reach them in time to lash out at the robot.

Tani attacked the robot with two fast strikes, one of them solidly hitting the robot, and dissolving its head. The robot finally fell to the ground, dismantled.

Alright - Dris' dice are cursed :D

Vask arrived just in time to witness his slave finish off the robot, pulling to a stop and continuing to grunt and growl for a few moments longer as if hoping that another challenger would arrive to confront him. Once his mind was able to process the lack of any further battle he finally managed to begin calming down, his mental haze receding away slowly before he withdrew his tentacles into his back. Still, this wasn't a time to truly relax much since he figured that more goblins might be so bold if given enough time or local authorities may well show up to question the nature of this gunfight.

Waving his arm towards Tani and Drisala, the shobhad spoke up to break the silence. "Get yourselves patched up so we can go. I'll check the goblins for gear." Vask did pause in regards to Gabby though as he could tell she was shaken, unused to conflict. After the moment of pause he just shook his head slightly, not out of disgust or such but rather because he figured trying to give her any direct commands right now would probably not be worth the effort. He resolved to handle the looting himself since the messy state of their respective bodies wouldn't be an issue for him and hustled towards the back of the trailer. Both to rifle through the pockets of the downed goblins and also to make sure to grab the crates they had loaded into their bikes and get them secured back on the trailer.

As the machine fell, Gabby slowed her run, Como to a halt. She panted lightly, feeling more winded than she expected, no, not winded. She glanced back behind her shoulder, eyeing the still form of the goblin she'd shot, she had... she turned away violently and leaned against the truck as she breathing quickened. It took her a moment to get a hold of herself, to suppress the nausea, but she managed it, just.

Shivering, Gabby decidedly walked away from the goblins, missing Vask's decision to loot them. Instead she moved towards the destroyed robot and started to search it, finding it far more savory to focus on this rather than the bloody messes behind her.

Each goblin was carrying a dogslicer, tactical semi-auto pistol with 9 small arms rounds and credstick with 50 credits. Vask quickly gathered the items. The junkcycles however could possibly be driven by the three small members of the party, but they didn't represent much value and they were most likely more trouble than they were worth. Vask transported the crates back to the rig, securing them again.

Drisala's nanites were still repairing the damage that she and the little lizard had suffered. Within a minute they were both fully healed from the wounds they had suffered. "Tani, stay close to me, my nanites will heal you for a little longer. Was anyone else hurt?" She asked, and then she saw Gabby. It was clear that the goblin woman was not having a good time. Dris put a hand on Gabby's shoulder and pulled the smaller woman into a hug. "How are you holding on Gabby? That was an awful mess." She said.

In the distance the sound of sirens were heard. One of the bystanders must have contacted the authorities and the lashunta police seemed to be on their way. They were still some ways out, and the crew could possibly escape the police if they wanted.

Vask grabbed all the weapons, ammo, and credsticks he could after getting the cargo squared away again. The bikes were not his concern though and he opted to leave them behind as he returned to the rig and the rest of his crew. The shobhad dumped the small blades and pistols onto the floor of the cargo rig, though had already removed the magazines and stowed them on his belt so there was no risk of accidental fire. While he did this he looked through the interior to the other three on the far side of the vehicle, calling to them in effort to hurry them along around the time that distant sirens could be heard.

"We need to go. While we didn't do anything wrong the time spent dealing with the authorities will set us back on our delivery." That was his way of telling them to get in the vehicle so they could set off without being overly aggressive. However they might choose to interpret his words remained to be seen of course. As he got situated in the front passenger seat, Vask got to splitting the credsticks up; siphoning all one hundred and fifty credits into his own personal storage and then transferring out seventy five into one of the original sticks. He then handed this half over to Gabby when she got into the vehicle, or to Drisala as a fall back if needed. "Half their credits. You two can split that however you agree on it." It wouldn't split evenly but he had decided not to try and take the extra. Captain of the ship or not it wouldn't be good to build animosity from his crew. Especially not over such a pittance of wealth.

Gabby realized she was more staring at the robot than really searching it when Drisala's voice brought her back. "I... I'll live." She felt a little pathetic, she hadn't even been shot and the pilot was worried about her. The goblin did her best to shake her head and get focused again, hearing Vasks orders from across the truck.

Turning she'd move and climb back into the rig, immediately handed the credit by the larger man. "I guess we'll sort this when we're safely off-world." She didn't want to delay, not with Vask showing interest in making a getaway. Even as frazzled as she was, she was sure she could talk their way out of any trouble, but it would no doubt take time.

Drisala couldn't help worrying about the goblin. Even if her lips said she was alright, the look on her little cute face told a different story. She climbed into the rig after Gabby, starting the engine.

Tani climbed into the rig, sitting next to Vask. "Are you alright Master? Did those nasty folks hurt you?" He asked in genuine concern.

Dris put a comforting arm around Gabby as she pulled the rig out around the destroyed robot. She swung down a side alley and avoided the police altogether. And after a short drive they were back at the spaceport. The large rig, loaded with the crates, wouldn't fit in the cargo hold. So the crew would have to sped time unloading the rig and loading the crates into the cargo hold.

Vask brushed off Tani's concern, especially after having seen the aftermath of the fight with the robot in the form of blood and burns upon both Drisala and the slave. "They were too busy trying to steal our cargo to have fired a shot." His voice was still garbled a bit from the filter on his helmet but he didn't want to remove it just yet; habits and all that for being amidst an active combat zone even if there was no more shooting at this point. In any case it appeared that Tani and Drisala were fine after a bit of odd healing, however the drow's abilities functioned in that regard, but shell-shock remained plain on the goblin's features. A part of him hoped that Gabby wouldn't be a liability in future engagements, though ultimately their business was trade and not battle so hopefully it wouldn't matter anyway.

Once they arrived at the port Vask wasted no time getting out of the rig and gathering up the cargo from within. The blades and pistols sure, but also the extra crate of berries to haul into the ship before he'd come back out and get to work on all the crates piled on the trailer. The shobhad had mostly recovered from the earlier exertion of loading the trailer in the first place by this point, though he knew that doing all the unloading was going to be just as strenuous. He was going to be pratically soaked in sweat by the time they could actually take off at this rate and both his both and his armor were going to need thorough cleaning.
"Do your visual sweep of the ship first slave. If everything looks good then come back to help with cargo."

Gabby had the ride back, half cradled by Drisala to get her shit together. By the time they were back at the ship she wasn't exactly 'good' but she was functional. Functional enough to slide out of the rig and start moving to help get unloading with the cargo. She was hoping to not dwell on anything while she helped with the labor-intensive work. "Hopefully none of them are stupid enough to come try and attack us on the landing pad..."

At his master's command, Tani went about to check the outside of the ship. There was no damage to the ship from the rough landing. The landing it seemed had mostly shaken up the inside of the ship and done nothing to the outside. He returned to the cargo bay and began to load the crates with the rest of the crew. "Master. Everything checks out fine. No external damage to the ship." He said to the shobhad.

Arriving at the spaceport, Drisala got out of the rig with the rest of them. "Gabby!" She said in a playful voice, "Don't jinx it." Though he hoped seriously that Gabby was right. The first fight had been close and had Tani not come to help her in the fight with the robot, she wasn't sure she would have made it. She had missed with her weapon too many times and was mad at herself with her performance. But she soon began to load the crates from the rig to the cargo hold. The work was just as hard and hot as it had been at Prat's place, but this time the stale and dirty air of the spaceport added an extra level of charm to the whole experience.

Vask nodded at Tani's report and was pleased that nothing notable was amiss. If anything that shook loose internally cause issue then it would take a lot more time to discover. He just had to hope that wasn't the case and that the hard landing was just a minor hiccup with no lingering effect. In any case he remained relatively quiet as the work progressed in transferring the cargo from the trailer to the cargo hold, though it was even more miserable considering their surroundings and the lack of the other lashunta to assist. This meant an expected three hours to finish assuming nothing else came up and he was relatively miserable at being reduced to such labor but kept those feelings pent up inside as he knew this was necessary. The pay that was coming from all of this, that was his main focal point to keep him motivated.

Gabby chuckled at Drisala's comment, even if she was a little worried about another fight. It hadn't been something she'd considered before setting off for her adventure, the gun was mostly an afterthought. So she focused on helping out with the supplies, even though each crate was heavier than she was! So it was a little amusing to see the little Goblin struggle with each crate.
