"Well, I do...!" Sasuke said quickly, "But that doesn't mean everyone else should see them...!"

"The mission got out of hand. She was undercover, there was nothing I could do..." She replied with a frown.

She couldn’t stand watching him be so flustered any longer. “Alright, alright… drinks on you tonight and I’ll keep everything, and keep it PG.” She joked.

“Why do I feel like this is going to go really badly?” Yukimura said, the back of his neck itching in anticipation.

He sighed softly, "Just around the boys.." He said.

"Because it is.." Akihime replied before moving over.
"Well, Yukimura, you're quite lucky. The bullet didn't get very far, but I still need to dig for it." Claudia said.

“I swear on my life.” She held up one hand. “Now let’s get out of here, I want to get out of this.”

Yukimura groaned softly at the news, but nodded before looking to Akihime. “Do you want me to deliver the news?”

She made a noise. “Just some infiltration job about a pervert, collecting evidence and all that.”

He nodded, but didn’t like the gut feeling he was having about the situation.

"Smooth enough?" He asked, opening the car door for her.

"Alright, Yukimura, hold still." Claudia said and carefully pushed a pair of tweezers into the bullet wound to try and get said bullet out.

“Yeah, more or less.” She said, getting into the car with a soft thank you. “What about you? Anything exciting on your end while I was gone?”

Yukimura clenched his fists but sat perfectly still for Claudia, exhaling softly.

"Dull and boring, I'm afraid~" He replied, getting in to drive home.

Claudia removed the bullet with little difficulty and dropped it on the tray beside her before smiling, "Great job, holding still." She said before moving to dress the wound.

“Dull and boring? You really should be getting paid more for that.” She said.

He let out a shaken breath, stealing a glance at the wound to see how bad it was. “I’ve done this before plenty of times.” He said with a soft grin.

"I should, but sadly no one will pay me to stand around and look pretty." He replied.

Claudia smiled softly, "An expert, good. Then I won't have to lecture you on being careful with it."

“I think I might know a few takers.” She teased, flashing him a grin.

He gave a sheepish grin. “I promise not to pop any stitches.” He said, holding up his good hand.

“Whose fault is that?” She teased, knowing full well it was her own.

After Yukimura had been patched up and sent on his way, things were rather quiet.
Megohime slept soundly for several hours in the infirmary, but once dusk settled over the estate, Akihime’s office door opened abruptly, Megohime standing there in the hospital shirt and pants Claudia had given her when she arrived. She looked rough still, skin pale and eyes tired, a scowl set deep on her face as she looked at Akihime, ignoring Yukimura entirely. “I need to talk with you.” She said tensely, Yukimura glancing between the two women. “Alone.”
