"So how is it going with you and Darian now? Oh interesting thing... that duke's son. We invited him over for dinner the following night and he did come - now he and Calla are meeting up pretty frequently." Ianite was commenting after a moment in time as she was adjusting how she was sitting.
 
Cat nodded her head "good from what Darian told me he needs someone who makes him happy" Cat was hesitant to talk about her and Darian at the moment as she was still trying to figure it out herself
 
Ianite was just nodding her head and soon enough they were arriving in town, and able to go about enjoying their shopping. They did definitely enjoy but things got a little hectic on their way back to the mansion and the carriage was attacked by some loan sharks. The guards were taken care of and the girls were being held at knifepoint at that point in time, Ianite just a bit wide eyed in fright. "Man we could probably get more for selling them at a market than holding them for ransom." one of the men was speaking as he just drew a knife down Ianite's body, which had her giving a low whimper especially as it was stopping at her stomach. "You are going to write a letter to your husband and tell him exactly what I saw." the man was speaking as he was looking towards Cat. Soon she was drafting a letter that more or less explained that they had been kidnapped and the dukes needed to pay off these outstanding debts that had been obtained by their wife's families. Did these people realize that the ladies had nothing to do with their families at all? Not even close. All they knew was that the dukes would do anything to get them back - or so it seemed from the stories that they had heard about them.
 
Cat did as she was told but slipped in a hidden message warning the men of trouble and to not actually pay them. the way Cat did it would go unnoticed by the loan sharks but not by Darian
 
Soon enough the two woman were yanked out of the carriage, and Ianite was about stumbling and falling onto the ground. "Careful with them. We don't want to damage them." one of the men outside was speaking, a rather smooth talker it seemed.
 
Cat moved to her friend and helped her up off of the ground. Cat watched the men and wished she had a sword and that Ianite wasn't there so she could do something
 
Ianite was just getting to her feet although had a light hand on her stomach. She could feel her baby moving around so she knew that it was alright, although her being stressed at that point in time definitely wasn't helping anything at all. "Get moving. To that carriage over there." one of the men was speaking and pointing towards a carriage that was coming towards them.

Darian was receiving the letter although frowning when he was reading it, which had him sending a letter to Adrian right away telling him that he was on his way over, that it was important.
 
Adrian read the letter and then notified his butler of Darians arrival

Cat stayed close to Ianite and even helped her in to the new carriage so that they didnt shove her round given her condition
 
Ianite was climbing up into the carriage with Cat and soon the door was being slammed shut behind them. She found that she was trembling a bit and was just questioning, "W...What is going to happen to us?" No she was absolutely terrified at that point in time, even though she knew that she needed to calm down. None of this was good for the baby at all.

The butler gave a nod although he also knew that it wasn't going to take long for Darian to arrive there at all, especially since they just lived across town. That and Darian had even taken a carriage, no he had instead decided to just take his horse to get there a lot faster. Once arriving at Adrian's mansion he was delivering his horse to the stablehands and heading inside.
 
Cat looked at her "I dont know Ianite I really dont know" Cat worried about their safety but she doubted they would be able to convince them that they had nothing to do with their parents.

Adrian looked at Darian when he walked in "what is going on"
 
Darian was just coming and handing Adrian the letter that he had gotten from Cat - about how they had been kidnapped and were more or less being held ransom. "But she is also saying to not pay..." he was commenting and he wasn't sure how he felt about that. He knew that Adrian would probably just want to get the funds together - considering it wasn't just his wife in danger, but his unborn child as well.

Ianite was just shaking her head a bit and was sitting close to Cat at that point in time, just quivering faintly.
 
Cat wrapped her arms around her and held her close hoping that they would be freed.

Adrian looked at the letter and then slammed his hand down on to his desk in anger "your wife is right we can't pay if we do it will just send a message that our wife can be held for ransom and we will pay"
 
Darian was just looking for a moment before he spoke, "I realize that but... If we don't pay, do we really want to run the risk of them being killed like it states. Or worse... sold to a brothel." He knew that Cat would try and fight her way out of it.... but he wasn't quite sure about Ianite at all, she didn't seem like much of a fighter. And he didn't know that she was expecting either, that was definitely going to be news to him.

Ianite was just focusing on calming herself down at that point in time.
 
Darian was just looking at him for a moment although was blinking at the mention of a baby. "You two are expecting? Not something I was aware of, but congrats." Well that made it more difficult and he definitely had the sinking feeling that the two girls were going to end up in the brothel if they didn't act properly.

As they were talking they never seemed to realize that Calla was outside of the office listening, having been walking past so that she could go off and meet up with the duke's son. A frown was on her lips before she was heading off quickly and quietly. No she had to find a way to help herself; but she wasn't quite sure how.
 
Adrian nodded his head "I am worried as well but I dont think they will be sold I fear that they will be used to make an example" Adrian stood and walked to the window before opening it and calling for his best soldiers.
 
Darian was just watching for a brief moment in time before he spoke, "Which could mean that they are tortured as well."

The carriage was coming to a halt and the door was being yanked open, showing a big burly man that was ordering them to get out in a gruff voice. Ianite was getting out before they were yanked around like rag dolls and was just looking around, finding herself quivering still. They were at one of the abandoned houses in town and currently being lead into the house.
 
Cat stayed close to her friend even with out a weapon she could fight and she would.

Adrian looked at him and nodded his head "we may end up having to care for injured wives"
 
Darian was just hoping that they didn't harm the child - otherwise he knew that Adrian was going to go off the rails. Yet again Darian would be the same way if his wife was expecting and he learned his child had been harmed.

The pair were leading into a room and ordered to sit on the bed; where a man was roughly grabbing onto one of their wrists to put a chain around it. This would keep them from leaving the room that they were in. A rather empty room other than a mattress on the ground with a couple of flimsy blankets; and absolutely no windows.
 
Cat looked around the room before she looked at the chain and this had her sighing.

Adrian looked at his men when they walked in and he told them of what was happening and that they were to search the city but to find his and Darians Wives
 
With the men actually came Calla, the woman not wanting to be left out on this at all. That and while the men could intimidate to get information, she could get information in other manners.
