Fission Mailed (Furry&Me)

"Ocelot..." He murmured, trying to put a face to the name. "He was Liquid's right-hand man, right?" No pun intended, thanks to that Cyborg Ninja. What confused him most that with this amount of traffic froming from both sides, how was it possible that the other didn't notice the infiltration? Was it possible that they were aware but just turned a blind eye to it? Maybe they had something up their sleeves... maybe there was something hidden so deep that it wouldn't matter whether someone was trying to spy or not because it was near impossible to get to.

"I wouldn't think of it as vacation time," Hal chuckled, shaking his head. "We've got our work cut out for us if we want to make sure we do this right- with just the two of us, we're going to have to take on a lot of extra work for this project." After all, no use in sending Snake in without anything less than the proper equiptment and support. He rose from his seat to move to his closet and pull out a pair of jeans and a t-shirt that were big on him. "I'm not sure if these'll fit, but I'm sure it's close enough. We'll probably have to go clothes shopping soon because I doubt much of my clothes are big enough for you," Otacon stated. "It'll be weird seeing you in normal clothing, though," he admitted. He'd never seen Snake dressed in anything other than his sneaking suit.

Snake went into the bathroom and then dressed into them and then threw his sneaking suit into a bag he had carried with him. "Thanks." He had throw on the shirt and jeans since obviously he thought they worked for what a civilian would wear. It was awkward waring something like this rather then his sneaking suit. However it felt just as good despite the fact it wasn't skin tight. "The project isn't too hard for you to manage. You are basically the manager in senses. I just get the shit done. It is my role since I am the soldier the one that does the dirty work and the painful work.", Snake said slowly making sure that the shirt and pants were good fit and they were actually as he went over and sat down again.

During Snake's absence, Hal continued with gathering as much information as possible but since the physical part of the project was relatively new, there wasn't all too much to find just yet. His gaze shifted back to the other male when he returned. Snake looked pretty good in his clothes- damn good, in fact. But Otacon shook the thoughts out of his mind. "The clothes fit you better than I expected."

Hal exited out of the window, deciding that he'd wait for a better time to really delve into this mystery operation. "Manager, huh?" The scientist beamed at the thought, "So I'm pretty much your boss," he teased.

Snake chuckled, "Don't go on too much of a power trip boss." He said sarcastically but smirked as he said it. He was joking but realized that Otacon probably would be the one that would be directing snake in the heat of the events that would happen during the release of the new Metal Gear. "Anyway, I think that ...I call this a vacation for me since I don't do much shooting and dieing or...the enemy doesn't do as much since I have been shot in places and locked up and torchered since last time in Shadow Moses.", Snake added while he waited for Otacon to come out with something as he took another drag off the cig and died it out.

"What a party pooper, you didn't let me enjoy my new title, even just for a little while," Otacon joked, spinning in his chair to face Snake fully now. "It's about time you take a vacation, too...seems as if a day isn't complete for you unless you get into some sort of near-fatal situation." He removed his glasses to rub his eye for a moment before placing them back on. "There isn't much information out yet- though I have a feeling that there's still more things hidden but that's a project for another time," he babbled. "I've never really had any house guests before, so sorry if I'm not a good entertainer," the male stated, "But if there's anything you feel like doing, just tell me. It's about time I spend time doing something other than computer work, anyways."

Snake chuckled, "I think I feel like I am an crippled entertainer myself." He said softly as he looked over at him. "Do you do anything besides go on computer? Like by yourself or do you stay here all the time? I did dog sledding since it helped with the stress I felt everyday I had with Maryl. She just couldn't ...withstand me. The way I acted and the way I handled stress.", He said softly as he looked around and his eyes wondered.

Otacon gave a small grin, "No, not really. I don't get out all too much." He always meant to get out more, but once he started a project on the computer, he'd often lose track of time. A worried look crossed Hal's features. "What d'you mean? Don't get me wrong, but you don't seem the type to let things get to you. And she was crazy about you- what's there not to like? Why was there a sudden change of heart?"

Snake sighed, "It was a ...different feeling and...I couldn't figure out why she didn't satisfy me and you were right she was nuts about me but she ...didn't satisfy me.." He said softly looking at Otacon.

"Well, it isn't uncommon for someone to lose intrest in their partner for whatever reason," Otacon mumbled and gave a sheepish grin, "it's one of the things even science can't explain." He paused, raising an eyebrow. "Satisfy you? What d'you mean, like-" he paused but continued, unable to find a better word, "Sex-wise?"

Snake sheepishly looked away, "Yes..." he said quietly and sighed. Snake didn't want to think he was gay or anything. Though that was the main part of why she was so frustrated and why he couldn't figure out. Since he couldn't think of sex on the job now suddenly when it comes to it just...doesn't help. His mind was in a depression about that.

"Oh, well- er..." He stammered at first, a bit flustered at the topic but he coughed once to clear his mind of any hopeful thought before getting back to the subject. "Well she's young, Snake. You can't expect her to be all that experienced. That couldn't be all there was to it, too, I mean it takes more than just bad experiences in bed to end things, right?"

Snake blushed slightly, "Yeah... unexperienced...tend to make the young lose their spark or get frsutrated with the older generation." He said throwing it off the topic in his mind that he might be gay. The thought didn't pertain to him at all as he thought since he went through a mission without a boner but maybe being sexually aroused wasn't all sexuality. Though he wasn't going to make his mind dive deeper into the whole thing.

"But you really wouldn't leave her just because sex wasn't good, though," Otacon, "I don't think you're that shallow." Or maybe Meryl was just being too demanding about it and Snake didn't want to have to deal with her constant pressure. "There's got to be more to the whole situation like that, Snake." But then again, Snake was a soldier and sometimes had a one-track mind. Maybe that really was all it took.

Snake sighed, "There is more but...I...want to relax...I wanted to get away from it at the moment. There is even a time when a soldier sometimes can't stand at attention." He said admittingly as he looked back at Otacon. "One of the reasons for even coming here was to get away and it wasn't just because of her...and how young she was to experience such a thing but other...thing. I just don't know how to say it right now.", Snake said shyly not wanting to really confuse but probably did anyway.

Otacon was, in fact, confused. And curious... he couldn't help it, really. Whenever there was an unanswered question, he wanted to find out the response. However, he shoved such selfish feelings aside and instead, gave Snake a small smile and a nod. "It's all right, I won't bother you any more about the subject," Hal replied, "But if you ever need to talk about it, I'll listen."

Snake nodded and just looked around, "well want to go off and do something? Unless you have something fun here to do." He said as he stood up and walked to the kitchen part of the house, "where do you keep your booze? I wouldn't mind some. I have had such a stressful week. Could use some despite that I won't be going into danger for about two years or so." Snake said as he searched but still at the moment unable to locate Otacon's stash of booze if he had any at all. The thought of the geek having such thing made him smirk but then again first appearances deceive.

"Sure, but what? Unless you like computer stuff, I doubt you'd want to hang out here," Otacon replied, following Snake out of the room. "The arcade's open but there's mostly little kids in it. Since it's late, the pool's closed so that's out..." he babbled but paused at Snake's question. Leave it to him to go straight for the beer. "I actually do have some," he admitted, walking over to his liquor cabinet and opening it to reveal a pretty nice variety if alcohol from brandy to vodka. Hal didn't have to buy a single bottle; the companies he did work for often gave him a bottle for his job well done.

"Here I thought were weren't that type of person Otacon.", He smirked and took the bottle that was the vodka brand. Taking the top off he drank a swig from it and winced. The alcohol hit his throat hard since he hadn't drank since he had gone off on the mission before they picked him up for Shadow Moses. But then again having a fun time and forgetting some of the problems that plagued him was what he was after. The whole thing with Maryl...the gay thing. It bothered him greatly since he hadn't felt anything like this before. Maybe he was too busy fighting to realize it and that made him feel worse to not know what he was attracted to.

"I normally don't drink too much," Otacon admitted with a small grin. He withdrew a bottle of bourbon and moved to his cabinet to pull out a glass. He put in three ice cubes before pouring a bit of the whiskey into the cup and he switched his gaze over to Snake, who apparently seemed to think that he didn't need a glass. "These were all thank-you gifts for some of the jobs I've don," Hal explained before taking a sip of his drink. "I've got far too much alcohol I don't need. So long as you don't go throwing up all over my apartment, take as much as you want."

Snake smirked, "Yeah don't worry my stomach is iron and that alcohol doesn't penetrate my stomach." He said as he took another swig looking at him chuckling. "Companies have a weird sense of thanks.", He said laughing softly as he took another swig of vodka.

"Good," Otacon laughed, taking another sip from his drink. Unlike Snake, Otacon still had his limits. Not everyone could have a flawlessly-run body. "Oh, don't complain," he huffed, lips curved upwards in a grin, "You wouldn't have anything to drink here otherwise."

Snake smirked as he looked at him, "Yeah right about that. If they didn't send you alcohol for your thanks I wouldn't have smoething to be joyful with." He said as he rose his half empty bottle to the air and took a good drink again making a wincing drink. Snake had drank a lot before this all happened. "Otacon, besides knocking back alcohol do you have anything else to have fun with or we going the most boring two years we have ever had in our lives?", He said as he looked at him intently with his slightly looking cold face. Snake always had something along the lines of a stone face due to the dangers he faced countless times even before Shadow Moses.

Otacon finished off his drink with a quick gulp, enjoying that happy, little buzzing feeling that resulted afterwards. His gaze shifted back to the other and a soft blush crossed his features at the other's straightforwardness. Hal was used to having nothing to do with no one to do anything with- and he enjoyed himself like that. However, he forgot that Snake was his opposite; the guy needed to be doing something. "Well, there's a shooting range in town. I've never been to it, obviously." He paused to think before continuing, "There are bars, clubs, a public pool, and a bunch of other, normal things." All of which Otacon never went to. He couldn't really think of anything that would entertain a legendary soldier. "I dunno, what're you looking to do?"

Snake smiled, "How about some pool? Like I mean some of the pool at a bar? I thought to give that a shot since I haven't before." He said smirking as he was slightly buzzed but this type of alcohol never bothered him much and frankly nothing much did. There was little to nothing that could effect him alcohol wise. Though he did get the natural buzz that most people get from drinking. "So how about we head to a bar and just shoot some pool and then go from there?", He asked smirking standing up and then throws the bottle into the garbage hearing it smash since he had finished and was partly buzzed from it.

Pool, huh? Hal chewed in the inside of his cheek in thought, trying to recall the last time he played pool... and he couldn't think of a time where he had played a full, honest game of billiards. However, it was simple enough; the game was all about mathematics and angles- all things Otacon was good at. A trip to a bar was alien to him, but it couldn't be too bad. He wasn't much of a fan for being in a room full of loud, drunk men but with Snake alongside it seemed tolerable. Otacon gave a small chuckle and a nod of his head. "That sounds good," he replied, moving to the coat rack to grab his jacket and keys before opening the door.
