SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

Amaya smiled softly, cupping his face one last time before kissing him gently. After that it was back out on the street to hunt down a ghoul to take back with her. Each time she had to return with the head of a ghoul to make it seem like she had been spending her time hunting down ghouls rather than sleeping with one. She tried not to think about it too much, tried to justify the killings, but there was no way around it.
She returned with the severed head of a ghoul, planning what happened next. She had gotten what she needed to kill Matsunaga, knowing that her strength against his would fail without using underhanded methods.

He had many medicines and poisons in his possession; he was always collecting different means to torture ghouls or discover what they were immune to. Maybe one of those would do the trick?

After disposing of the head of the ghoul she killed, she cleaned herself up, hiding the poison in her coat. She knew Matsunaga was familiar with dozens of poisons, even had a tolerance for most of the ones he used on the ghouls he tortured- like a sick hobby. Still, she did her due diligence and managed to scour for a poison he had yet to get his hands on, obtaining it for herself. Pouring the entire bottle into the tea pot, she watched as the liquid mixed with the hot tea before vanishing, not a single visual trace left of it. She was lucky to find one that was almost entirely invisible; clear with no smell, but only a hint of an earthy tone, but that was what the tea was for. It would hide the taste rather well. She carried the tray silently to Matsunaga’s office, knocking on the door and waiting for his response- it was about time for his nightly tea anyway.

Amaya entered, closing the door behind her and moving to set the tray down on his desk. “It was getting late, you still haven’t had your tea yet.” She took a step back, clasping her hands behind her back.

Amaya didn’t hesitate at all, bowing her head before moving to pour out two cups. “I hope I made the tea to your liking.” Her words were just as fake as his smile, but she knew better than to have an attitude with him.

Amaya made a soft noise, setting the tea pot down and picking up her own cup. “I’m glad to hear that.” She said, blowing on her tea before drinking it.

“Yes, I know that you have a fondness for it, so I chose that for tonight.” She said, sipping on her tea.

“Thank you for your praise, Father.” Amaya said softly, watching him as he drank his tea, eyes sharp as she did so, like a predator watching their prey.

He felt her staring almkst immediately and locked her gaze, "What have you done?" He asked lowly before he felt immeasurably dizzy and ill. He gripped his chair to keep himself upright, his cup clattering to the ground.

Amaya watched him silently, setting her cup down carefully on the desk as she felt something drip from her nose; blood. She wiped it from her nose with the back of her hand, all the while watching Matsunaga struggle to stand. She herself was in terrible agony, feeling as though her insides were liquifying, but didn’t let a single bit of that pain show. “I really am surprised on how quickly it worked, I did use the entire bottle after all- can’t be too careful.” She moved to lock the office door, turning back to face Matsunaga, blood now pouring from her nose as she drew her blade. “You made a mistake bringing me back here.”

Amaya knew the dose she took was a lethal dose for Matsunaga, meaning it would effect her more quickly and severely then it did him- she would have to move quickly if she wanted to finish things before she was incapacitated. “They’ll be safer with you gone.” She said lowly, moving quickly towards him, hopping easily over the desk and kicking him in the chest. She landed on him hard, moving her blade quickly to pierce his ribs, but only met the Kevlar vest beneath his clothes. She was startled by the blade not sinking into him, having not realized he wore such protection, but quickly brought the blade up again to go for his throat instead.

His hand shot out and he slammed his palm into her nose, almost breaking it but it gave him the time he needed to throw her off of him, "You must be delusional in your dying state...I'm not the one who will die here tonight..."

Amaya was struck so hard it felt like he rattled her brain, or maybe it was the poison making it soft to begin with. She tumbled to the floor with a grunt, holding tight to her blade as she staggered back to her feet. The world around her seemed to be slowly growing far away, and she found her throat burning hot as she vomited on the floor, specs of blood in the vomit- none of it stopped her as she attacked Matsunaga once more, targeting his neck.

He deflected her attacks sloppily but she never once was able to cut him before he put her on the floor again. He spat up blood and covered his mouth, the poison attacking his lungs and making it hard to breathe now. He turned away while she collected herself and scrambled for his antidotes, grabbing a bottle and swallowing the liquid inside.

Amaya did her best to get back onto her feet, but her body was no longer responding how she wanted it to. Her breathing came out harsh and ragged, like her throat was closing up, her body started to shake as she collapsed to the floor. The commotion had drawn the attention of the others, who were now trying to kick the door down, but by the time they managed to do so, Amaya was in no state to even sit upright. Her body felt painfully hot and bitterly cold at the same time, barely able to draw breath as she glared at Matsunaga from the floor, skin pale and pouring sweat.
One of the team members moved to restrain Amaya, but it was hardly necessary, as she could barely move at that point. Two others rushed to Matsunaga’s side, helping him sit down in his chair to provide him medical attention and try to reverse the affects of the poison.

Everyone in the room looked confused at Matsunaga’s order, even Amaya who was pinned to the floor.
“But Father, she just attacked you!” One young man tried to argue, the other young man scrambling to get Matsunaga more antidote and liquid charcoal.

"Death is too merciful. She needs to know and understand fully that her actions have consequences." He stated, "I have to locations-" plural; he knew where all the safe houses were? "-of where her ghoul friends are hiding. When I've recovered, we'll pay them all a visit."
