SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

Sasuke stood over him before crouching to dig through his entrails, pulling out the kakuhou roughly and biting a large chunk, swallowing roughly before throwing the rest away, "Tastes like shit."

Ren moved over to Sasuke, looking a little grossed out by his cannibalism, but he said nothing. “We should probably leave before anyone else shows up.” He said quietly. “Especially Laurent, leave him to Sanada.”

Sasuke nodded and moved to take the lead again, Akihime taking a couple steps away from him as he came closer before fleeing quickly to Ren's side.

Ren gently took Akihime by the wrist, leading her as they made it to the front door without facing anymore of Laurent’s servants. Someone else was at the door when they reached it, Yukimura. The door had been sliced to bits, Yukimura’s Kagune out and a surprised look on his face when he saw Sasuke. His look of surprise turned to one of relief when he spotted Akihime, his expression softening. “I knew I’d find Akihime here, but to find you here too Sasuke is a surprise!”

"Dana, wait, Akihime is-" before he could even finish, a blood curdling scream erupted from Akihime as she backpeddled so hard and fast that she fell to the floor.
"S...Stay away from me!! Laurent!! Laurent!!"
"Shut her up, Ren!" Sasuke snapped.

“I’m trying!” Ren scrambled over to Akihime, trying to calm her down enough to stop her from screaming, but it was too late. Laurent, who had just returned to the estate, had heard Akihime’s cries for help and came around the corner with a rather displeased look on his face. “What, pray tell, is the meaning of this?” It was more rhetorical that anything else, as he immediately moved to attack the person closest to Akihime in order to retrieve her- Ren.

"Shit!" Sasuke moved fast, bringing his ukaku forward as a shield, taking the brunt of the attack.
"I didn't mean to disobey you, Laurent, I just wanted to see Mitsunari!! I didn't know they were taking me to Yukimura!!" Akihime sobbed, "Don't let him hurt me anymore, I'll be a good girl, I swear!!" What was this? What was Yukimura looking at? Was this really his Akihime? Had she been made to think him evil and cruel? What had he done to her?

Ren stumbled away from Akihime, glad Sasuke had been there to block the blow before it killed him. Yukimura was in disbelief. Despite what Masamune had explained to him, despite what was there in front of his eyes, he couldn’t bring himself to believe it. Had he taken too long in finding Akihime?
“So what Date said is true then, you brainwash people and manipulate them to do what you want.” Yukimura’s Kagune slowly crept out, his kakuja forming over his back and shoulders.
“I didn’t think I’d be given this much trouble by a bunch of lowly rats, but here we are. I suppose now is as good of an opportunity as any to rid of you.” Laurent hissed, using his Kagune to shove Sasuke back. “Silence, Akihime. We’ll discuss your punishment after I’m done here.”

She covered her mouth quickly to muffle her sobbing as she stayed firmly rooted in her spot on the floor.
"Akihime, get out of here, you're in the way!" Sasuke snapped, kakugan flared and angry as he felt his energy start to burn up. He was running out of time, "Dammit...Ren! Grab her and get her somewhere out of the way! I'll cover you as long as I can!"

“Do you want me to die?” Ren hissed, and Laurent didn’t look amused, staying in his spot between Akihime and the others. “Grab her? Why would I let any one of you do that?” He asked, swinging his Kagune to bat Sasuke father back.
Yukimura moved in quickly to take over for Sasuke, able to see the sorry state he was in, knowing he probably didn’t have very much fight left in him. “Sasuke, both you and Ren need to fall back, neither one of you are in the position to keep fighting.”
“No one is leaving.” Laurent said lowly, kicking Yukimura hard in the gut and sending him skidding back.

"Dana, I'm not leaving you to fight this bastard on your own." Sasuke argued, but the shrinking of his ukaku showed what he was trying hard to hide.

“You said you were going to help me get Akihime back, didn’t you? So why are you fighting me instead of taking her home?” It was clear by the tone of Yukimura’s voice that he was fighting his kakuja for dominance, rushing back to attack Laurent and keep his attention fixed on him.

Sasuke backed down immediately, not willing to argue further, before rushing toward Akihime and scooping her up with a muffled scream from her. He rushed and grabbed Ren, hauling him over his shoulder as he struggled with a thrashing Akihime under his arm, "Just come back in one piece, Yukimura! I mean it!" He yelled as he rushed for the door.

Laurent moved to stop Sasuke, but Yukimura slammed into him and pinned him to the wall with his tails.
“Wait, we’re really just leaving him behind?!” Ren did his best to not flail as Sasuke ran with him, holding on the best he could with one arm.
“I’ll clean out the whole lot of you!” Laurent hissed as he watched Sasuke leave with Akihime, shoving Yukimura back and cutting him across the face.

The wound on Yukimura’s face slowly closed up, only leaving behind a trickle of blood where it had been. He listened for any sounds of Sasuke still being nearby, but was relieved to not hear a single peep. Already his breathing was ragged, his kakuja slowly creeping over his body more and more.
“Don’t tell me you’re tired from a brief exchange such as that?” Laurent mocked as he used his tails to bat Yukimura around, pushing him back and knocking him into the wall. He frowned at Yukimura’s lack of response, and was caught off guard when one of Yukimura’s tails shot out and nearly took his head off. Yukimura slowly pushed himself back to his feet, blood dripping from the wounds his kakuja made as it dug into his own flesh, saliva running down his chin. His head was pounding and his thoughts were a torrent he was drowning in. He felt barely conscious as he let his kakuja take hold, suppressing his thoughts and taking over his movements.
He was fast, moving even faster than Sasuke had been moving, but plenty more violent. Laurent’s arm was the first to go, just beneath his elbow, cut clean off by one of Yukimura’s tails. He grabbed the limb before it even hit the ground, Yukimura holding it over his head to let the blood drip into his mouth.
Laurent looked appalled and angry, holding the bleeding stump of his arm as black veins spread under his eyes. “How foul, cannibalizing to the point of becoming a monstrosity. You’re no better than a beast.”
The words fell on deaf ears, Yukimura not hearing a single word Laurent spoke, and when the blood stopped dripping from the severed limb, he moved to attack again. This time with more ferocity, trying to hack Laurent to shreds, forcing him on the defensive to his surprise. Yukimura was beginning to overwhelm him, slowly being cut to ribbons by his whip-like tails, before he was forced back against the wall. Before he could even move a muscle, Yukimura’s teeth were in his throat, and in one swift movement he tore the flesh away and swallowed the chunk whole.

"He's a kakuja..." Akihime's words buzzed in Laurent's head as he stared up at his death, "you know that, don't you...? He won't stop until he gets me back...he's nearly a perfect kakuja. Your kakuhou would be that last little piece he needs." The mocking and confidence he felt when he waved off her words seemed bitter and tasteless now as he choked on his blood, as Yukimura's monstrous form loomed over him. Her warning now became so much more than that; it became the very prediction of his final moments. This rat of a ghoul, this lowlife of a man, was in fact his end.

Laurent was too proud of a man to try and plead for forgiveness, instead opting to fight until the very bitter end. It mattered not, any wound inflicted upon Yukimura was met with no reaction at all, like he didn’t feel the pain of it. When Yukimura was done with Laurent, there was barely a body left- consuming all that he could until his hunger had been satiated.
That didn’t release him from his kakuja state however, now being fully fed, he had the energy to move onto the remaining servants at the estate, chasing down those who ran, and slaughtering those who fought.

It was worse than a bloodbath. Yukimura left a river in his wake, no one was safe from him by the time he was done.

Sasuke had to knock Akihime out to keep her from screaming and struggling, the young woman showing no sign of tiring herself out. He, himself, was exhausted; he burned up all the energy he had from consuming Ren's flesh, using the last little bit he had to get to the closest safehouse of his that he knew of. He worried for Yukimura, knowing he would have to hunt his friend down soon enough to shoot him with suppressants if he didn't break free of his kakuja himself. But how could he, even lifting his arm took considerable concentration and effort.
"Goddammit..."

Ren had quickly wrapped up his arm in the bathroom before tending to Akihime, not all that happy that Sasuke had knocked her out.
He approached Sasuke as he was trying to get himself back out the door after Yukimura, a soft scowl on his face. “I’m taking Akihime back with me. I doubt she’ll want to wake up to either of you, and she’ll be safer away from Yukimura- you’ve let him go off the deep end with that kakuja, it’s too much.”

"I'm glad you think you know her so well, fucking her brother and all..." He said, but didn't have the strength to stop him, "Even as a kakuja, dana wouldn't hurt her...I know he wouldn't.."

Ren scowled at the comment, turning to head back to where Akihime was resting. “Can you stop with the comments? My relationships are currently working out better than yours, so you really don’t have a leg to stand on.”

Sasuke didn't have anything to say about that one, "I just want to warn you that dana will be poking his head around to see her...as much as I don't like admitting it, they're pretty much dating...he'll do whatever it takes to make sure she's ok..."

“I’m not kidnapping her.” Ren said, pulling Akihime up and pulling her arm across his shoulders. “I’m taking her home.” He said, moving to the door. “You can see her all you want after I do, not like I’m gonna stop you, but she didn’t really seem thrilled to see either of you.” Ren reminded.

"Yeah..." He agreed softly; he heard Yukimura mention brainwashing, maybe that's why she was so freaked out, "Just make sure she stays out of trouble for us, ok...?" He sounded sincere, eyes a little sad, before he left to try and see what state Yukimura was in.
