SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

“Investigator Ishida is perfectly well, although I do admit things may have been taken a little far- he is receiving medical treatment already, there is no need to worry.” He moved to the door and opened it for her, a languid smile on his face the whole time.

“My dear if I wanted to kill you, I would have already done so- like when you were on patrol this afternoon with your brother, or unconscious in this room.” He waited calmly for her at the door. “I do not purchase humans with the intent to kill them, I find it distasteful.”

“The money I paid to have you brought here was very real- this is all besides the point, you’re here already, so why not join me in the garden?” He was talking so casually, like he hadn’t just committed several serious crimes. “Do you prefer tea or coffee? If neither suit your tastes, I can have something else brought to you at request.”

Just play it out, Akihime, roll with the punches. Yukimura knew she was in danger now, he would go to the ends of the earth looking for her. Just go with it until you can make your way out.
"Tea is fine. I prefer matcha, if you have it available." She answered, forcing her legs to move and make her way toward him.

“Of course, I’ll have it prepared right away.” He said, stepping aside for her and letting her through the doorway, closely following behind her.

He walked ahead of her to a set of beautiful glass double doors, opening them for her. “Oh, please do forgive my lapse in manners- Laurent Beaumont, pleased to finally meet you face to face.” He held up his hand in the direction of the garden- a beautifully manicured indoor garden full to the brim with exotic plants and even a small pond. “I do hope you’ll enjoy my garden, I’ve curated it personally.”

It seemed odd to her that a ghoul would take interest in something like gardening, but gave it an agreeable nod, "It's quite lovely. Reminds me of the garden my father had at his old home."

“Oh? It’s a shame I didn’t get to see it.” He said taking her to a nice table placed in the shade.
A man in a black suit stood waiting, pulling out both chairs as they approached.
“Please make some matcha for Akihime, and bring me my usual.”
“Of course, right away.” Once they were both sat, the man left quickly, no doubt to bring them their drinks.

"It was nice, the garden. He kept it from when my mother was alive." She said, glancing around for a moment more before looking at him, "The men you had bring me here were quite rude...a tazer is no way to treat a lady.."

“I do apologize, I had instructed for them to not harm you- I see that they have broken that rule.” He waved his hand in the air, and in an instant another man in a black suit appeared out of seemingly nowhere. “The gentlemen I paid to bring Akihime here, please do get rid of all of them, it seems they did not follow my instructions sufficiently.”
“Right away, sir.” The man nodded and bowed his head, then quickly left.

The man from before came back with a serving cart, setting a tea cup full of steaming hot matcha in front of Akihime before setting a wine glass in front of Laurent, and pouring what looked like red wine.
“I want your company, Akihime, nothing more.” He said with a soft smile. “That’s why I’ve brought you here- I do hope you’ll forgive my methods, but I have found past recipients.. hesitant.”

"There are better ways to ask a girl for her company, whether the answer you recieve is to your taste or not." She replied, thanking the servant more out of habit than anything else, "I'm committed, you know..." Vaguely.

“Hm, I suppose that is true.” He picked up his glass and swirled the liquid about lightly before taking a small drink. “Ah, Sanada- please forget him. I know all about your fling with him, he should be of no concern.”

Was that a threat? She clenched her fists gently in her lap, nerves flaring with anxiety before being replaced with anger; it sure sounded like a threat to her ears, "Don't you dare lay a finger on him."

Laurent looked up from his glass with a slightly surprised look on his face, quickly being replaced with a soft smile. “I have no intention of harming anyone who doesn’t get themselves involved in my affairs- Sanada or his group has nothing to worry about so long as they don’t try anything foolish.”

"You took my phone," she said, "interrupted my phone call, I'd say that would warrant the need for something foolish. If you give it back to me, I can..." she seemed to struggle with the idea herself, "I can tell him not to look for me..."

“There won’t be any need for that, I’ll personally have word sent to Sanada- if he’s smart he’ll come to terms with the current situation.” He said, leaning back in his chair slightly, tapping his finger lazily on the arm of his chair.

"He's a kakuja..." She said quietly, "you know that, don't you...? He won't stop until he gets me back...and if I have to go back to him as a corpse, then I will." She took her tea and sipped it slowly, "Death doesn't scare me...and I won't become some cat that lays against you on lazy days. If I have to die to get away from you, then I promise you that I'll make it happen."

“You’re more than willing to try- it could prove to be fun, but know I won’t be entertaining fighting you.” He set his glass down and rested his chin against his hand. “As for your boyfriend, I’m not concerned about him.”

"You should be...he's nearly a perfect kakuja. Your kakuhou would be that last little piece he needs." She said, watching him closely, "You'll just let him eat his way through your servants before his teeth found you last? Kind of cowardly, if you ask me."
