SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

She suckwd air through her teeth out of annoyance, moving to open the door. “I got punched in the nose, it’s no big deal. Its not even broken..”

She avoided looking directly at him, her nose red and dark bruising under one eye. “I was just out blowing off steam, got caught off guard, I’m fine really, just got punched once, I’ll live..”

“Yeah, I just got caught off guard was all.. It won’t happen again.” She said softly, expression softening a bit at the small affection.

Yukimura returned home just after four in the morning, somehow managing his way back into bed. He was surprisingly clean, but that wasn’t to say that he was devoid of any blood splatter, his shirt being stained with a good amount of blood. His face and hands looked to have been washed, skin still wet with water.

"Yukimura...!" Akihime hadn't slept a wink since she had gotten back, sitting up in bed when she saw him climb through the window, "Where did you go...?! I was so worried...!" She said, trying to stay quiet so Sasuke wouldn't hear.

He trudged to the bed, leaving the window wide open, falling into bed without answering her. His kakuja armor was long gone, the wounds it caused on his body healed, but the tears in his clothes remained. His eyes were closed already, breathing slow and heavy- was he still not fully there yet?

Yukimura looked completely exhausted, a gentle expression on his face as he slept deeply. Where had he gone, and will he remember anything at all when he wakes up?

He slept for a good while, finally stirring around half passed nine, looking absolutely wiped. “What time is it..?” He croaked.

He groaned as he pulled her closer, body oddly stiff and achy, like he didn’t sleep well. “Not great.. I think I had a nightmare last night… I can’t remember what happened though..”

She groaned again, resting his head back onto his pillow. “I’ll make it up to you.” He said. “Thanks for fixing my mess.”

He cleared his throat a bit, cheeks flushed a bit. “Promise not to tell anyone..?” He asked, embarrassed he had done such a thing.

He nodded and held her just as she asked, dozing in and out as the room slowly grew brighter from the sun rising.

Amaya woke, curled on her side, back to Sasuke as she blinked sleep from her eyes.

She turned to look over her shoulder at him, turning over to face him. He looked tired and thin, like he wasn’t sleeping or eating well, but perhaps it was also something else?
