SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

“It’s meant to.” Megohime sneered as she fired twice more at Masamune, having already pressed the emergency button on her phone, alerting the CCG to come to her aid at her location.

He barely managed to dodge the first one but took the second with a grunt of pain before throwing the first aid at her, "S-Spiteful thing, aren't ya...? Just tryin to help..." He growled before struggling to get to her window as fast as he could.

Megohime had to raise her arm to avoid taking the first aid kit to the face, but kept her gun trained on Masamune as he fled, shooting at him until he was out her window again and gone.

He fell to the ground with a grunt before picking himself up, "Goddamn, is she beautiful..." He muttered before dragging himself into the alley.

The woman didn’t know when she had woken, didn’t know how how long she had been awake, all she knew was that she was in agony. Her entire body felt like it had been set ablaze, then the fire put out with a blanket of razors. She found breathing hard, and soon figured it was because she had a large tube down her throat- on a ventilator so it could breathe for her. She could hardly move, tubes and wires coming from several dozen places on her heavily bandaged body. Her bloodshot eyes looked around, unfocused and barely able to make anything out.

Who was this man? She didn’t know him, at least she didn’t think so, her mind was a haze, unable to recall anything. She tried to speak, but it was impossible with the tube in her throat. It was a necessity though, as her organs were still rather weak and healing still. She had no way of seeing so, but all four of her limbs had been removed, she could feel it though. Confusion was clear on her battered and bandaged face, eyes struggling to focus on his face.

The bandages had light blood stains all across her body, every inch hidden except for a portion of her face. She grunted weakly as she watched him, trying to speak through the tube. Her being actively aware was a good sign, it had been several days of her being unconscious even after getting her revived and implanting the kakuhou, but it was clear it had implanted nicely and was healing her.

She seemed panicked still, but gave a weak nod, having no other real option but to listen and believe him. Was he a doctor? He was obviously in charge of taking care of her medically, but why was she like this, what had happened to her to get to this point? Jin was receiving blood for both transfusion and having it sent directly into her stomach for sustenance. Her kakugan was flared in her right eye, something that would either subside with time or be permanently present.

Jin didn’t really have any other options, but unconsciousness quickly pulled her back into sleep, only stirring again when the unpleasant feeling of the breathing tube being removed woke her. She wasn’t sure how much time had passed, but now her arms had returned to her. Her legs were still gone, but her arms were there and moved when she wanted them too. It was unsettling, she knew arms didn’t just grow back, but yet here they were. She coughed a few times from the removal of the tube, looking to the man she had seen before. “Where?” Was all she was able to rasp out.

Jin looked around slowly, able to make out that she was surrounded by medical equipment in a large room. “Back..? From… what?” She asked, looking back to the man before her. Only a scar remained on her forehead where she had been shot.

Jin felt like she had been punched in the chest, looking down at her heavily bandaged arms, several IV’s coming out from under the gauze. “I see..” She rasped. She had many questions for the man, but she couldn’t get any of them out.
She seemed to be taking the news rather well, only sitting in silence with a far away stare, perhaps she’d do just fine. “Why did you save me?”

Jin had no memories of this man, but at that moment she had no memories of anyone, it was rather distressing. She brought her hand her her head and rested her forehead in her palm. “I.. don’t remember, I’m sorry..” She said softly. With time her memories may return, or they may not at all- there would be no way to tell until more time had passed.

Jin felt like she could almost recall memories if she focused hard enough, but it was like trying to see through a heavy fog. She nodded and closed her eyes to try and collect her scattered thoughts. From there she only healed even quicker, no longer needing to be on fluids or iv’s, only waiting for her legs to finish growing back now.
There was very little that she recalled, the man who had saved her- Tenkai -filling in what he could. She was a ghoul, an artificial one, but it was the only way he was able to return life to her corpse. She had been killed in her previous life by a ghoul, but was brought back to help fulfill Tenkai’s wishes.

Yukimura had been following around the ghoul investigator for some time now, both disguised and in plain clothes. Of all the times he saw her engage with ghouls, she always opted to subdue them and have them arrested. Not once did he witness her kill a ghoul or use excessive force. To be honest he was surprised, it wasn’t like she was scared to handle ghouls, rather it seemed like she was using calculated restraint.

Akihime seemed more depressed with each time he tailed her. Always muttering about her brother and how unhappy he was with her. It was becoming increasingly concerning.
