Joe: Ha! That would be awesome. Joker would be up against a formidable enemy. If he started one of those little rants about humanity like he did with Batman he'd suddenly find himself with some broken fingers!
 
I've cosplayed at an event twice . . . mostly because I live in the sticks (ie 8 hours' drive from any other city), so specialized entertainment here is limited . . . I did get to go to FanExpo though this summer, with my boy. So I cosplayed as a kitsune (mostly for an excuse to wear my kimono), and then the next day recycled my ears and tail along with a skirt and dirndl . . . mostly for an excuse to wear the dirndl. The second event was a much smaller-scale con in my city, and I cosplayed as the same thing.

I did dress up as Belle once, for my last halloween out (grade 12), a very effective cosplay, and a lot of fun. Ummm . . . lemme see if I can find a suitable pic.

@ vixen: you looked really cute too. We kinda matched, eh? Interesting to see the two quite different flavours for the same colours and concept.

@ everyone else: I'm none too familiar with Watchmen, though I suspect I'll have to get about to reading the graphic novels before the movie comes out . . . because I'm one of those people who refuses to watch the movie unless I've read the book first (still haven't seen LOTR for that very reason). Ahh well, chalk it to my to-do list! And excellent, very professional cosplay btw. Not that I'm any manner of expert.

Actually that was not what Halloween was originally about. XP Halloween is roughly based on the Pagan/Wiccan(Whatever they call themselves) even of Samhain, or All Hallows Eve. It was actually a night that everyone bolted their doors and stayed INSIDE... because it was the night when the world between the veils was the thinest. At least that's what I have been raised to believed.


Anywho

Anyways as for Cosplaying, I was talking to Trygon about this! Will even be meeting up with him, and hopefully the other BlueMooners? XD umm as for Cosplaying I do that often... I frequent Kumoricon(Just went to my Second this year), MewCon(A new convention just started this yearXD), and SakuraCon(Will be going to my second year now! :3)

((I can actuallly fully do the bend, he caught me when I was coming back up. My leg gets tucked to my body, and the other straight behind him. I bend back and fully touch my toes, and thats cold without any stretching XP Imagine what would happen if I did stretch XD ))

LOL I can't wait, seriously. :3 I am staying at the Paramount, I just need to get the money for the room. XD 179 a night. But I am going for Safety over money spendage. Safer to stay closer to con, when you don't have a car >.>
 
LOL XD mmmm Con is gonna be so much fun! Hey you saw the cosplay I am planning, to you have any suggestions for the accessories? XD My stepfather is gonna try and help me construct it all from scratch(Even the boots O.O)

Let's see...
My best advice is to try and find similar pieces to your character.
Like at Goodwill, Value Village, or other thrift shops.
Then alter them to fit your character.

This is only my 2nd year cosplaying.
I'm a nOOB.

Everytime I go to a Con I cosplay :3... Mmm and I don't think they will have the things I am looking for... but Michaels and other craft stores might! XD I have to buy the wig as well >.> heh
