The School for Devoted Fuck Partners!!

The year is 2102 AD. After the Fourth World War that turned the entire country into a barren wasteland, the bones of the dead became the rubble that occupied the empty, demolished streets. Gangs formed and the roads became ruled through might of guns and clubs. Slowly, after some years of effort, the truly nasty people of the country teamed up and formed the Horde of Violators, and the noble ones formed the Legion of Preservers. The Violators razed upstart settlements, enslaved the women and killed the men. The Preservers aimed to preserve what little hope that was left and aimed to spark a new metropolis that erased the taint of the Fourth World War...

You are a citizen of the city of Yarlcarl, named after Derick Yarlcarl, a charismatic (though lustful) man who ignited the people to rebuild. You are between the ages of 18 to 24 and you enter a beta-testing public school that tries to revive the old ways of educating the young. You are a student... And here you will meet your beloved and predetermined-by-law partner. The Violators will try to kidnap the lady and ravish her with all their devious appetites. The man will do everything in his power to learn how to fight, strategize, train, and socialize in order to preserve his young lady's safety.

Will you succeed? Will you fail? Will you survive? Only time will tell...

OOC: Alright, so the idea is that this is a post-apocalyptic setting, but there are a group of noble citizens trying to rebuild a nation. It is a heavily protected budding metropolis full of sentries with good training and good weapons. They have mastered basic agriculture and purifying water, so food, hygiene, and hydration are all taken cared of for all citizens. Right now, "The Horde of Violators" all plan to destroy the hope that these people hold and rule the country with an iron fist, enslaving all who are weak.

Just keep in mind, I encourage and allow mild sci-fi elements so you can enhance your character in all sorts of ways. Just please don't turn him/her into a demi-god or superhero. lol.

We'll all be partnered up. One male student character (aged 18 to 24) for one female student character (aged 18 to 24). Please only commit to the RP if you think you can stick it out since there will be strict post orders.

I'll be the GM of course.

If you want to join, please post here. Thank you very much.

I'm good for the most part. I think voting is a bit perverse, to be honest if you all vote to have me change a post, I'm not likely to take it well.

@Letrixia We have been in groups before, I think you are going to be fine. I don't like long posts either so just write what makes sense to you.

I would be interested further to see how the combat posts would work in this setup with our attribute points you laid out. I take it our characters would eventually be improving attribute points?

Not in the short term, no. In fact, I think we should stick to the beginning attribute points and no more. This isn't a D&D campaign. lol.

But you do choose which you would like. Either a well-rounded character or a specialist.

Maybe if the whole thing lasts a long while, we'd get to add. But I never planned on it. We stick with our initial attributes.

Speaking of, are there only Options A and B?

Yes. To simplify things, yes.

Either well-rounded, or you are super strong with one of the three attributes at the expense of being weak on the others. So like, we can't have a genius, a bodybuilder, and a master ninja all in one character. But you can be any of them. Unless you choose to be the well-rounded character who is good at everything, just without being excellent.

Oh, I thought that Option A was only the Strength specialist like you posted before, lol. Might want to clarify that when you officially codify things in the near future.

So, what is the plan?

Me hoping the others are still interested. Aint that right folks? Lea, can you please ping them? I sort of gave up after a whole 24-hours of no activity. I thought everyone forgot about this already. lol. But I'm still up for it.

Well you are the driving force. Typically the next step would be to create a character page so we can start presenting our character ideas for your approval. Once we have enough characters the game could begin.

Groups are tough but not impossible, but you need to keep some momentum.

Roger. My apologies. I thought everyone ghosted. I'll get to work now. I got time.

So... First of all, I allow everyone, both sexes, to be enhanced in a sci-fi way. I will establish the limit.

Yo everyone, this is me pinging all of you! Woohoo!

@Letrixia @hellsangel @captain_bond @Cute Bunny @LeaT @Doctor Manhattan

I think I can work with the set attribute. I'd probably go option B

The well-rounded one, yeah. Good.

I'll set guidelines. But let me emphasize that the strength of a certain "attack" or "defense" post will be greatly affected by how "congruent" you are to your character. You must stay true to your build. Essentially, if you have a genius-type character and you're trying to make him wrestle... Then you're gonna have a weakened potency for that particular post. I'll synthesize my thoughts, everyone's concerns, and what I've already written down into crystal clear guidelines... Now, to find the proper section for that...

Found it. It's under "character profiles". I'll get that set up.

LeaT, thanks for reigniting this thread. Everyone owes you one if this really jumpstarts. lol

@LeaT

Since you are describing a 'system' I would stick with the system area, so character threads would go here:

I am thinking of a nurse or doctor, so probably Str 1, Dex 2, Int 3 kind of build.

There's really only two options I am giving you all. Either well-rounded (2 points on all three attributes) or a specialist. Basically, to be a specialist, you have 4 points on your desired attribute, while the rest are just one.

I designed it that way for the sake of simplicity. If you want the kind of nurse or doctor who is a "good" nurse or doctor who is also a "good" knife fighter or gunslinger, you're gonna have to just choose the well-rounded one, which I believe is option B.

If any of you can find images on the web, maybe google images or pinterest, that portrays a post-apocalyptic settlement and such, that'd be great.

It's hard to turn it into just another Fallout setting because even the guarded towns of those games look like a dump. Ours is supposed to be a city with potential. Our school should be looking decent.

We're super short on females. Assuming no other new female joins, what I'll do is I'll just GM the whole thing to cut back on the roster. I'll control some enemy NPCs.

Don't worry about me. I'll have fun along the way. :)
