"Alright, we're almost there." A voice called out in the dimly light city streets. The voice came from the leader of a group of five feline males. He wore white clothing with bits of silver colored metal plates. He wore two matching longswords on both hips of his belt. Standing at about seven feet tall, he had a middle of the line between lithe and muscular build. He had long silver hair over smoky grey fur and starch white colorings on his ears and around his eye sockets. Inside those sockets were a pair of white irises around black pupils. He walked with absolute confidence, giving off the aura of someone who knew they both what he wanted, and how to get it.
"We would have been there by now, if someone had not miscalculated our jump!" Another voice called from the group behind him, "Maverick!" The voice finished, causing the white eyes feline to glance back at his troupe. His eyes falling upon the second shortest of the group, 'short' being relative as he was six foot four inches. He was clearly built for speed with a very lithe body. He had a vibrant white fur coat with long icy blue hair that matched his same colored eyes. His armor was similar to that of Maverick's white clothing under plates of metal, except his metal matched his hair. The jump he had been referring to was when they used their planar engine to jump from one plane of the multiverse to another. A jump which the silver hair male has managed to make a minor error, one that has cost them several hours. Maverick would merely grin at his brother's words, "Alright Daimus, you can calculate the next jump." The blue haired male would grimace at that, getting quiet as he had no desire to even attempt to calculate a planar jump.
"No, next time I will do it!" A loud voice boomed from behind Daimus, coming from the largest of the five. He held this title with no competition was he seemed to be several feet taller than the rest, standing at nearly thirteen feet tall. He had grey fur with purple markings around his eye sockets and ears. His eyes were a deeper shade of purple than that of his fur. His long hair started black, but about midway down his back it began to fade into purple. Unlike his brothers, he wore a full set of grey plate armor. Latched onto his back was a massive maul. He also had a sword on his hip, that to him would be a longsword, but in a normal sized man would be a greatsword. At hearing his, all of the other men would have to stifle their reaction. This behemoth was actually the dumbest of the group by as great a margin as he was taller than them. However, he was also the last one of the group you wanted to anger. "Ah, you do not... need to waste your time... Jerath..." Maverick said rather carefully, trying to avoid calling him stupid for safety reasons.
As the other three men continued to go back and fourth about who should, and should not calculate jumps. The other two males remained silent, keeping watch on their surroundings. The more noticeable of the two would be the one closer to the front. He was the second tallest of the group, coming out at about seven foot three inches. He wore black clothing with golden metal plates over portions of his body. Over all of this, he wore a black overcoat that nearly touched the ground under him. He had long golden hair, with pale gold fur and black markings identical to Maverick's. His eyes were black irises around white pupils. He had a large greatsword hanging from his back. Also on his back, but lower and underneath his large coat was his trump card, a rather large blunderbuss. Finally the bickering of his brothers would provoke a reaction from the golden male. "Will you three shut up? We are almost there and thanks to Maverick we do not have time to set up a proper ambush." His words would cause the others males to stop arguing and Maverick to glare over at his golden twin. "I'm sorry I'm not per-" As he started. the golden male would interject, cutting him off with with a dismissive wave. "We don't have time for this and you know it, we are almost there and we need a plan."
Their destination was a tavern here on the plane of Nimia, one of the more technologically advanced planes in the multiverse. They were hunting a thief that stole some valuable hardware from the plane of Mercium, a militaristic city plane. These men were freelance mercenaries, coining themselves the 'Princes of the Multiverse' and often find themselves competing with the larger, more equipped mercenary guilds. Due to the nature of the hardware, and the fact that Mercium does not suffer insults well... and for reasons the princes were not privy to this bounty promised to pay very well. Though they did have a something the guilds did not, Maverick. As much shit as his brothers often gave him, the silver haired male was a genius, and an adept at reading and manipulating people. He managed to figure out who this thief worked with, and even got one of her clients to turn on her. This is where they were heading, to a meetup between this woman and this client. The boys were coming to get the drop on her, and take her back to Mercium.
"You're right, ok I know what we are going to do." Maverick stated, his brain already formulating a strategy as he began to give orders. "Daimus, I want you overlooking the bar, in case she makes a break for it. Do not let her out of your sight." He said, looking voer at his blue haired brother, before pointing toward the ship dock not far from the tavern. "Jerath, Nepharious, I want you two between the bar and that dock, if she has a ship thats where it is." Jerath nodded, before looking down at the shortest of his brothers. Nepharious had pale white fur, with no markings. His long hair was the same color as his fur, and his face was completed by a set of yellow eyes. He wore all black robes, and had no visible weapons on his person. "Mephilis is with me, we will go in there and see about talking her down, or capturing her. Make sure to give her that lovely charm of yours!" He said, smacking his golden twin's shoulder. Mephilis would just give his brother a look before moving away from the huddle. "You guys did remember to bring a tracker, right?" Maverick asked as they headed toward the tavern. "Yes, dad." Daimus groaned with a roll of his eyes before leaping off toward a nearby building. Using wind magic in move his body even faster, and helping him leap up onto the other structure. Jerath and Nepharious headed off toward the docks as Mephilis wordlessly showed Maverick is tracker before pocketing it again. "Good, better to have and not need tha-" Mavericks tarted, but before Mephilis 'accidently' bumped into him as he walked through the doors to the tavern. "Rude." Maverick simply said as he followed behind his taller brother.
The two spent some time investigating the area, or rather Mephilis did. As the golden male watched out for possible exits, his brother was more interested in finding potential entrances.
