Princes of the Multiverse and the Princess of Shadows {[Mephilis&Kiandra]}

Mephilis

The End of Destiny
"Alright, we're almost there." A voice called out in the dimly light city streets. The voice came from the leader of a group of five feline males. He wore white clothing with bits of silver colored metal plates. He wore two matching longswords on both hips of his belt. Standing at about seven feet tall, he had a middle of the line between lithe and muscular build. He had long silver hair over smoky grey fur and starch white colorings on his ears and around his eye sockets. Inside those sockets were a pair of white irises around black pupils. He walked with absolute confidence, giving off the aura of someone who knew they both what he wanted, and how to get it.
"We would have been there by now, if someone had not miscalculated our jump!" Another voice called from the group behind him, "Maverick!" The voice finished, causing the white eyes feline to glance back at his troupe. His eyes falling upon the second shortest of the group, 'short' being relative as he was six foot four inches. He was clearly built for speed with a very lithe body. He had a vibrant white fur coat with long icy blue hair that matched his same colored eyes. His armor was similar to that of Maverick's white clothing under plates of metal, except his metal matched his hair. The jump he had been referring to was when they used their planar engine to jump from one plane of the multiverse to another. A jump which the silver hair male has managed to make a minor error, one that has cost them several hours. Maverick would merely grin at his brother's words, "Alright Daimus, you can calculate the next jump." The blue haired male would grimace at that, getting quiet as he had no desire to even attempt to calculate a planar jump.

"No, next time I will do it!" A loud voice boomed from behind Daimus, coming from the largest of the five. He held this title with no competition was he seemed to be several feet taller than the rest, standing at nearly thirteen feet tall. He had grey fur with purple markings around his eye sockets and ears. His eyes were a deeper shade of purple than that of his fur. His long hair started black, but about midway down his back it began to fade into purple. Unlike his brothers, he wore a full set of grey plate armor. Latched onto his back was a massive maul. He also had a sword on his hip, that to him would be a longsword, but in a normal sized man would be a greatsword. At hearing his, all of the other men would have to stifle their reaction. This behemoth was actually the dumbest of the group by as great a margin as he was taller than them. However, he was also the last one of the group you wanted to anger. "Ah, you do not... need to waste your time... Jerath..." Maverick said rather carefully, trying to avoid calling him stupid for safety reasons.

As the other three men continued to go back and fourth about who should, and should not calculate jumps. The other two males remained silent, keeping watch on their surroundings. The more noticeable of the two would be the one closer to the front. He was the second tallest of the group, coming out at about seven foot three inches. He wore black clothing with golden metal plates over portions of his body. Over all of this, he wore a black overcoat that nearly touched the ground under him. He had long golden hair, with pale gold fur and black markings identical to Maverick's. His eyes were black irises around white pupils. He had a large greatsword hanging from his back. Also on his back, but lower and underneath his large coat was his trump card, a rather large blunderbuss. Finally the bickering of his brothers would provoke a reaction from the golden male. "Will you three shut up? We are almost there and thanks to Maverick we do not have time to set up a proper ambush." His words would cause the others males to stop arguing and Maverick to glare over at his golden twin. "I'm sorry I'm not per-" As he started. the golden male would interject, cutting him off with with a dismissive wave. "We don't have time for this and you know it, we are almost there and we need a plan."

Their destination was a tavern here on the plane of Nimia, one of the more technologically advanced planes in the multiverse. They were hunting a thief that stole some valuable hardware from the plane of Mercium, a militaristic city plane. These men were freelance mercenaries, coining themselves the 'Princes of the Multiverse' and often find themselves competing with the larger, more equipped mercenary guilds. Due to the nature of the hardware, and the fact that Mercium does not suffer insults well... and for reasons the princes were not privy to this bounty promised to pay very well. Though they did have a something the guilds did not, Maverick. As much shit as his brothers often gave him, the silver haired male was a genius, and an adept at reading and manipulating people. He managed to figure out who this thief worked with, and even got one of her clients to turn on her. This is where they were heading, to a meetup between this woman and this client. The boys were coming to get the drop on her, and take her back to Mercium.

"You're right, ok I know what we are going to do." Maverick stated, his brain already formulating a strategy as he began to give orders. "Daimus, I want you overlooking the bar, in case she makes a break for it. Do not let her out of your sight." He said, looking voer at his blue haired brother, before pointing toward the ship dock not far from the tavern. "Jerath, Nepharious, I want you two between the bar and that dock, if she has a ship thats where it is." Jerath nodded, before looking down at the shortest of his brothers. Nepharious had pale white fur, with no markings. His long hair was the same color as his fur, and his face was completed by a set of yellow eyes. He wore all black robes, and had no visible weapons on his person. "Mephilis is with me, we will go in there and see about talking her down, or capturing her. Make sure to give her that lovely charm of yours!" He said, smacking his golden twin's shoulder. Mephilis would just give his brother a look before moving away from the huddle. "You guys did remember to bring a tracker, right?" Maverick asked as they headed toward the tavern. "Yes, dad." Daimus groaned with a roll of his eyes before leaping off toward a nearby building. Using wind magic in move his body even faster, and helping him leap up onto the other structure. Jerath and Nepharious headed off toward the docks as Mephilis wordlessly showed Maverick is tracker before pocketing it again. "Good, better to have and not need tha-" Mavericks tarted, but before Mephilis 'accidently' bumped into him as he walked through the doors to the tavern. "Rude." Maverick simply said as he followed behind his taller brother.

The two spent some time investigating the area, or rather Mephilis did. As the golden male watched out for possible exits, his brother was more interested in finding potential entrances.

The planet of Nimia hosted some was pretty much a backwater planet, set off a ways from the main planet that most everyone visited. But Nimia was good in other... illicit activities. If you had to move things fast, Nimia was one of the planets to do it at. Which was exactly where a black and silver ship was headed to.

Landing it in the shipyard, a lithe black shadow checked the docking and after securing the ship, it headed down the alleyway, moving with the shadows, slinking along with confidence. As it came upon the lights to the tavern, a small shiver slid down its spine, and it smiled, before stepping into the light at the entrance of the Tavern. A curvy lithe black female stood for a moment, stretching her senses out, and she grinned to herself as she opened the door and walked in, drawing the eyes of most of the male patrons inside. She arched an elegant eyebrow over violet piercing eyes, and those who valued their lives looked away. She shook her head, and walked in, a sway in her hips. Her black shorts accented her curvy hips and long strong legs, which ended in black combat boots with a five inch chunky heel. On her thighs, she wore two pistol holders, which carried her trusty guns. Her top half was covered in a black and purple corset, which had throwing knives tucked into the bottom of it. Her generous breasts threatened to spill over the top of it, with every breath she took. On her back, was her main weapon, a large chakram, the four points gleaming in the low light. Her outfit paired well with her black fur, and under the lights, you could just make out the small darker rosettes in her fur.

She finally caught sight of her client, and quietly walked up to him, settling herself into the seat in front of him, and smiling as he offered her a drink.
"An ale, please. I'm parched."
He nodded, asking one of the barmaids to grab one.
"Did you get it?" He asked, his posture a little nervous, his eyes darting around the interior of the tavern. She noticed, but she didn't say a word, although now she knew why she had gotten that shiver, something was about to go down.
"Of course I did... why else would I be here?"
"Can I see it?"
"No."
"But!!"
"You pay first. Once those creds are in the account, then I'll let you see it."
"How do I kno..."
"This is how it's always been done. Either pay, or I walk. There are others who want this hardware. Your choice."
"Oh... ok..." He got his wrist pad out, glancing around again, almost like he was looking for something. He didn't find it, and looked down at his pad then back up.
"I would advise against double crossing me... you know what will happen." Her voice, which had been quiet, turned hard as she took his appearance in. She sat back in her seat, against the wall, and looked around the room, her eyes alighting on trouble.
"Oh boy... do you know how dead you are Clint?" She asked, as she watched the two males approach them. Her purple eyes seemed to glow in the shadows, and she tilted her head. Both males were very much her type, and she smirked, wondering if they would really be a threat to her or not.

Her eyes skipped over them, and settled on the front door, gauging the distance, before looking back at the two males as they finally reached them.

"There." Maverick whispered, having spotted their contact, and the vastly more interesting figure across from him. Mephilis' eyes quickly darted over and spotted the black feline. Even just the hint that he got to see of her from this angle, he could tell she was quite the looker. Though, he did not have time to waste oogling her, he had to worry about capturing her. As they approached, Mehpilis took stock of the different exits. She would notice that the golden male broke off from his twin and placed himself in a spot that let him threaten each escape rout as effectively as possible. Crossing his powerful arms over his chest, he would stare at her with a lack of emotion on his face. Aside from his eyes, he had a way of exuding an intense fury just through his threatening gaze.

Maverick would get a bit closer, a grin coming over his face. "Good evening miss, we have been asked to escort you back to Mercium. It seems there was a bit of a misunderstanding and your presence is required to settle it. An obvious lie, she could tell that he was not even trying, it seemed that he was just enjoying the wordplay. His eyes carefully taking her in as he placed his left hand on the pummel of his sword. A wordless threat to go along with his friendly demeanor, contrasted by the absolute threat coming from his brother's eyes. "A trouble to be sure, but if you come with us peacefully, I can make it worth your wile once its all settle." Finishing his sentence with a not-so subtle wink.

Kiandra Black was no fool, she knew a trap when she saw it. The shiver down her spine from before had been a warning that not everything would go well, and she smirked as she watched the two males split apart. As the golden male crossed his arms and stared her down, she tilted her head, taking in his stance, then turned her attention towards the other male, who had come all the way to the table.

Ah... the military had come calling.

She sat back as the male began talking, and she smiled sweetly as he spoke. As he finished speaking, she turned her violet eyes towards the client, "You're dead sweetheart..."
The client turned to the male, "You have to protect me!"
"Sure they will... All right, let's go handsome..." She said, standing up and walking slowly around, her hips swaying from side to side. Next to them, she was tiny, her head reaching their shoulders as she came up level to the lighter colored male. As she did, she turned her head to look at the golden male, a small smirk on her lips as she moved suddenly, her fist pounding into the gray feline, her punch made worse, by the steel knuckle black gloves she had on. As he reared back, she twisted towards the golden male, coming straight for him. As he moved towards her, she slid to her knees before him, sliding through his legs as he tried to grab her, before laughing, as she punched him in the thigh, causing him to fall to one knee.

"Oh Yeah, you made it worth my while honey." She said, before escaping out the door, diving into the shadows of the tavern door. She took a moment to glance around for more, and then headed towards the docks. As she moved, quick and silent, using the shadows, her tail twitched before opening up like a deadly flower, the tip of the bone in the middle glistening with a vivid purple liquid. She stopped, realizing there were two large males in front of her, and looked behind, knowing that it wouldn't take long for the two males in the tavern to catch up. And speak of the devil, she was now surrounded, though she wasn't sure if they knew her exact location as she was within the shadows.

Her nose wrinkled, and she studied the two larger ones, before pulling out a couple of the throwing knives.

As the client asked for protection, Mephilis huffed a short laugh. He never agreed to protect anyone, so it would definitely cost more if he had to save this idiot. As the woman stood up and turned, Maverick took a moment to appreciate her body. His great weakness was how he could lose focus for a time when confronted with a beautiful woman. This weakness would be his undoing as normally, he would not be caught so easily by a suckerpunch. He staggered back as the woman rushed after Mephilis. Placing a single hand on his cheek, a normal response to getting smacked with steel. Though, he was using the pain as an excuse to bring one of his hands up, channeling a quick tracer spell.

As she took a moment to taunt him, he finished the subtle channel. As soon as she turned her back, he fried the tiny projectile. The spell hitting her as she went out the door, allowing him to track her over a short distance. As Mephilis got back on his feet, Maverick was already sending out a message, warning their brothers that she was on the run. Daimus would sense the tacer spell on the move, and start following it over the rooftops. Jerath and Nepharious were watching for her, the pale colored feline tracking the tracer spell. "Shes close." He uttered as she neared them, snapping his fingers he covered the both of them in magical shields.

As Maverick and Mephilis closed in, maverick began channeling into his hands. "Shes using the darkness to her advantage, but not for long!" He shouted before creating a spear of luminescence in his right hand. Pulling it back, he aimed it at the sky and throwing it above the streets. It sailed upwards before exploding and creating a miniature sun to brighten the area. The sudden bright light would daze Maverick, Daimus and Mephilis for a moment. Nepharious and Jertah were protected by the barrier and quickly spotted the female when she popped out of the the darkness.
"There!" Nepharious shouted, pointing toward the female. As he did, several magical chains shot out from behind his back. These chains would seek toward her, trying to latch onto her body. Jerath watched her carefully, ready to rush her at a moment's notice. He looked like a lumbering beast, but he was much faster than he looked.

Kiandra hissed low, crouching in the shadows, and as the light displaced them, jumped into action, headed straight for the largest one. A snarl on her face as she slid into the chains, caught up in them, as she stopped moving. She hung there, snarling low in her throat, and as they got close thinking she was caught and bound, she suddenly smirked, her tail whipping up, flinging the liquid onto the chains, eating through them and as she dropped, she created a small black ball of energy, and flung it at the small sun, disrupting it, and making it turn into a small black hole, sucking up the largest male, as she turned her attention towards the other three. She whipped out her gun, and started shooting, a smile on her face.

She didn't hit any of them, but shot in such a way that the three were slower in chasing after her, and she had enough presence of mind to head to her ship, starting the heat up sequence through her palm pad as she ran through the alley way. Her eyes came upon her ship, and she grinned, slipping into shadows again, and stopping. She wasn't quite down with these males.

She waited until they had skidded to a halt near her, and she narrowed her eyes, how the hell did they know where she was?
It didn't matter, and she sprung from the shadows at the smaller one, pouncing on his back and slamming her elbow down onto the top of his head, causing him to crumple under her before she turned savage eyes towards the two left. Her ears caught her ship engines, and grinned.
"Gotta go! Do tell Mercium thanks for me."
She slid away from one attack, and rushed towards her ship, lowering the shields.

As she began to break the chains, Jerath was already upon her, grabbing her easily as she was preoccupied with her black ball. He was in the process of planting her on the ground with his vastly superior strength when he began to feel an upward pull. "What the?" He asked, looking up at the black hole as it seemed to target him and only him. Likely by design since his grip would be rather difficult to escape. As he was pulled up, she managed to wiggle out of his confused grasp.

"Jerath!" Maverick shouted, concern in his voice as his brother was swallowed by the black hole. Most of the brothers were pretty preoccupied with Jerath's fate. Aside from Nephariuous and Daimus. The latter would remain hidden, charging his magic up as he moved into a better position, closer to the ships. Nepharious gave chase to the woman, he was not concerned by her guns, his magic shield emboldening him.

"We gotta move, we can't let that bitch get away with this." Mephilis growled, taking off after the female. Followed shortly by Maverick, who was preparing a daze spell to try and slow her down. When Nepharious got close to her, he stopped and ignited a green magic blade from his right arm. This blade would not harm anyone it hit, rather would sap them of their energy. It usually only took a couple good hits to make someone helpless. Though given how strange this woman was, he woild not be surprised if it took more than just a couple. As Mephilis and Maverick arrived on the scene, she struck. Luckily for Nepharious, his magic shield held up and he did not take nearly as much damage as he could have. As she spoke to his brothers, he was able to swipe at her with his blade, getting a decent hit on her and weakening her stamina. After he hit her, Mephilis lunged at her, before she slipped away from him, heading for her ship.

As she ran, Maverick launched his spell at her, hitting her in the back with a bright flash. The spell would dull her senses for a short time. As she stumbled toward her ship, Daimus made his move. Using all the magic he has charged up to launch himself at her. Moving so fast, she would have trouble reacting even if they had not messed with her senses. His body colliding with her legs, taking her feet out from under her as she began to fall. Planting a hand on the ground as he spun around to kick her in the air toward his brothers. Mephilis would catched her easily, slamming her face first to the ground and he and Maverick worked on trying to restrain her. "You can tell em yourself." Mephilis growled.

As this was all happening, Jerath was trapped inside the black hole. Unable to move, he began to lose his patience with this place. Tensing up, he began to growl, decorations on his armor beginning to glow faintly. Of all of his brothers, Jerath was born with the highest magical aptitude by far. However his comparatively simple brain makes it almost impossible for him to really make use of his magical affinity. That is... until he loses his temper... then the magic begins to...
Erupt.
With a loud roar, the angry feline began to exert immense magical pressure. Around the time that Kiandra was being pinned by Mephilis, a loud thunder clap could be heard as the black hole was shattered. Jerath fell to the ground, a burning aura of every known element radiating off of his fur. His eyes shifting colors constantly now. Breathing heavily, the only thing he could think about was making that woman pay. With a deafening roar, the beast cat began charging toward his brothers for some much needed retribution. In this state his magic was pretty wild and out of control. He was much faster and more powerful, and also heavily resistant to all forms of magic. The ground began to shake with each heavy step of his sprint.

The blade pulled on her energy, and she gritted her teeth. She kept trying to move towards her ship, before she got hit in the back with the spell, causing her eyes to blur. She shook her head, trying to clear her senses quickly, only to be struck down by a fifth opponent, and she growled as he spun underneath her and kicked her back towards the males. While in the air, she shot a spell web towards the male, catching him within and dropping him to the ground, as it was laced with sleep dust.

Caught in the golden furred's grasp, she growled as he slammed her down into the ground and the two males who had approached her at the beginning of this shitstorm, began trying to restrain her. She closed her eyes, about to send up a spell to block out the light, but before she could, she heard her black hole pop. She raised an eyebrow at that, well that was impressive... she only knew of two others who could do that.

Either way, she now had a giant mass of muscles headed towards her, and she grinned.
"Eh. I think not..." She shot back at the male on top of her, and released her magic, enveloping the entire area with a black shadowy smoke, dulling their noses, and blinding all of them. She slipped through the restraints during the confusion, and jumped up into the air, onto her ship, which was now hovering over them silently. As she jumped, she threw down a large orb, which sucked in all the smoke, and caused them all to realize that the large male was barreling towards his own comrades. She climbed up the side of the ship as it began to rise in the air, knowing she had to get to the hatch to get in.

As the smoke cleared, at first they looked up at her on her ship. Then Meph looked down at the ground when he noticed the ground shaking. A look of realization coming over him as he dove at his brother, knocking him out of Jerath's way. Seeing her on her ship, Jerath drew his maul as he closed the distance. "Hey Bitch! I got a present for you!" He shouted, his normal joyful voice, now full of malice and fury. As he reached her ship, he leapt up to it, drawing his hammer back and striking the side of her ship. This hammer dealt great damage to the side of her ships hull, breaking quite a hole in the side of her ship as she knocked it out of its hover. If she did not get control of her ship soon, it would crash into a nearby building. It seemed that she did indeed avoid catastrophe and began flying away.
"Jerath! Launch me!"
Mephilis shouted as he began to rush toward his brother. Jerath would turn toward his golden brother. As Mephilis jumped up, Jerath caught his feet with his hands before using his behemoth strength to launch him toward the still staggering ship. Mephilis hit the top of her ship, and managed to hold on as the ship before to fly away. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his tracker and slipped it under one of the openings in the ship to keep it out of sight. He then moved over toward one of her ship's engines and began ripping the covering off of it. He would either disable the ship, even if he failed the fact that he tried would reduce the chances of her figuring out that her ship was tagged. By the time she came out to face him, he had peeled enough of the covering off of her engine, and was drawing his greatsword to destroy the engine.

Kiandra looked down at the hulking monster as he drew his mace and slammed it into the side of her ship, knocking it sideways. She stared with wide eyes at her baby, and then turned slitted eyes towards him.

"You'll pay for that behemoth...." She said under her breath before reaching down and pulling her gun out, shooting down at the five, causing them to scatter as she climbed into her ship. As she looked at her controls, she felt another shudder go through the ship, and growled. Setting up the autopilot controls for a quick take off, she slipped out and caught sight of the golden furred male on top her ship about to slam his great sword into her engine. She looked down at the large hole he had caused and literally roared at him, surprising him as she slammed into his chest, forcing him away.

"Bastard!" She slammed her fist into his face and wriggled away from his grasp when he tried grab onto her. Causing another black orb to form, she slammed it into him, causing him to ricochet off it back towards the ground. With that, she created another black orb, which she threw with surprising accuracy towards the large behemoth. It slammed into him, moving so fast he hardly saw it coming. It caused him to fall back, and left a scorched mark on his chest, burning into black and purple flames. She looked down at them, too far away for them to throw another male up, and snarled, her challenging cry echoing around them.

As he was knocked away by the orb, Mephilis barely caught onto a part of her ship and pulled himself back up onto it. The second orb sent at Jerath, it did make him stagger back. However in his magically infused rage state, her attack was little more than annoyance to the titanic feline. "What was that supposed to be, little girl?" He taunted, beating his chest where the flames had fizzled out from not more than seconds ago. "How about you complete your little tough act by flying away!?" He shouted, laughing at her as Maverick dispelled the net around Daimus and began to pull him away.

As she was caught up in a long range pissing contest with Jerath, Mephilis tackled her. Trying to pin her down before she slipped away. Showing a surprising amount of speed, the golden feline evade her counter attack before bringing his sword against her. Slashing at her legs to try and cripple her, but she was a bit too fast for that. When she countered with her metal knuckles, he blocked it with his sword, giving her a quick elbow to the face, making her stagger back. Doing a quick spin, he tried for her legs again, but she evaded. Rolling over his sword, she quickly kicked him in the face. As he staggered back, Mephilis released his greatsword into his left hand. Doing a spinning stepback to both regain his footing and mask his counter attack. As his back was to her, he drew his blunderbuss from its back holster. So when he turned back to her, he had the large barrel pointed at her. He fired just as the gun came into her view, giving her very little time to react to the spray of lead and other objects that now assailed her and her ship.

Kiandra gritted her teeth at the feel of hot pieces of lead biting into her flesh. Other than a slight tightening in her facial muscles, she stood her ground looking over at him. As she stared at him, he would begin to feel a little bit of fear as it trickled down his spine.

In her anger, Kiandra finally attacked, but with a dark wave if energy, that swooped over her and came crashing down on top of the golden furred male. It shoved him right off her slick ship, and then pushed him straight down, building energy as it pressed his body towards the ground. He slammed into the dirt, hard, the energy continuing to press, and now that he was against solid ground, it almost felt like there was a weight on him, trying to suffocate him. Try as he might he wouldn't be able to push it away, and the other four couldn't pull it away from him.

The attack only stopped once she was far enough away from them, that she couldn't keep it up. The five watched the slim ship take off, until the heat of her engines disappeared into the night.

A couple hours later, Kiandra stood, shaking over the bathroom sink on her ship, blood dripping from her chest. Several small pieces of lead lay in the sink, and her hands quivered as she tried to pull a larger piece from right underneath her collarbone. Now that the adrenaline had seeped away from her, it was clear she was going into shock, her eyes blown so wide, they were black pools, with a tint sliver of purple ringing the pupil. As such, when her ship alerted her to the boarding party. She didn't move, just sighed, and felt her body almost give out on her.

She groaned, lowly, alerting whoever had actually boarded, as she tried to pull the larger piece of twisted metal from her flesh, and as it began to slide out finally, the door swung open. She straightened, blood slicking her fur as she looked at the males, and then slowly leaned back on the wall, before sliding down it, to sit on the ground as her legs finally gave out. Her blown out eyes took them in, as her body shivered with what looked like fever, and she had left a blood smear on her wall when she had slid down.

All in all, it was obvious she wasn't going to be much of a fight for now, so she decided to take the easy road, and concede defeat.

Meph was a bit shaken when he saw her seeming tank his shot with no real effect. Though all she would get from him in terms of visual reaction was a quick eye twitch. Rather than just waiting for her move, he rushed at her, trying to cripple her again. Before he got close enough to strike, her energy wave would hit him. He struggled against it for several moments, eyes glaring at her spitefully. "Don't think you can ever escape me!" He growled out just before the energy wave knocked him off her ship and rocketed him to the ground.

The impact created a sickening thud, but that was not all. The energy just kept pressing him into the ground. The sound of snapping bones and angry large cat noises became abundant. The other brothers scrambling to either try to remove the energy or follow her ship. By the time it was over, Mephilis was a mangled mess, the extent of the damage could only be imagined by the brothers as they rushed him to a hospital. Nepharious would remain with their fallen brother as the rest rallied to track the fleeing target. First they needed a ship, and with the combination of Maverick's brain and Jerath's brawn, they 'borrowed' one of smaller freighters in the dock. Thanks to Mephilis, finding her was very easy.

"Looks like she landed in the mountains." Daimus said as he looked over her location on a holo-projector. "That would make sense, Jerath put a pretty big hole in her ship, would be crazy to risk going to space. Though I have to wonder why she didn't plane-jump." Maverick replied as he flew the ship to her location, he was the only one in the group that could fly such a craft. Where they came from these fancy things did not exist. Took him forever to teach his brother how to use some simple high-tech gear, they were not quite ready for flying. "Maybe Meph hurt her too bad." Jerath piped up, as he sat uncomfortably in the cargo hold. It was the only place he could really inhabit, and why they needed a freighter. He seemed to have calmed down from his earlier outburst. "I doubt it, there is something weird about that girl." Maverick replied as he landed not far from her ship. Not too worried about spooking her, more worried about landing too far away and then risking her take off. "What gave it away? The fact that her tail shoots acid?" Daimus said sarcastically as they touched down. Once the board ramp was open they rushed outside and sprinted toward her ship. "I'll get the door!" Jerath shouted as he ran up to her boarding ramp and began to pull it down. The metal groaned and whined, but slowly the ramp was forced down by his superfeline strength.

The three males boarded and began to search the ship, they quickly picked up the scent of blood and followed it to the source. "Well I'll be damned, he got her afteral." Maverick said as the extent of the damage on the female became apparent. "In typical Mephilis fashion, he went overboard and nearly killed her." He said as he knelt down by her and began to inspect her wounds. "Serves her right." Daimus grumbled, the sight of his brother near death himself had him tempted to execute her himself. "Maybe... But we need her alive if we want to get paid." Maverisk said as he began looking for anything he could use to treat her wounds. "Go back to the freighter, see if they have any first-aid gear." He ordered. looking over at Daimus, who sighed before heading off.
"Dumbass, shoulda just took me up on my offer, coulda been so much more fun." Maverick growled as he began to try to stabilize her. With what healing magic he knew, and the supplies brought by Daimus they were able to keep her from dying... Somehow. They moved her to their ship and strapped her to a seat in the back. Once she was more or less secured, they took a seat at a small table in the rest section. "Alright, so we can either take her to the hospital, and make sure we save her life and risk her escaping... Or take her straight to our client, get paid and risk her dying." Maverick said, looking over at the woman.
"Lets me honest, they will probably kill her anyway, lets not risk it." Daimus said, waving a dismissive hand toward the female.
"You think we should just let her die for money?" Jerath asked, looking over at the blue haired feline.
"I don't care! After what she did to Meph, shes lucky I didn't just cut her fucking head off myself!" Daimus responded loudly, punching the table. The sigh from his two brothers suggested they did not fully agree or disagree.

Kia watched the male crouch next to her, and sighed, before closing her eyes and tipping her head back to lean against the wall. Her ears flicked at their conversation, and as he spoke about the first aid kit, she groaned and raised a shaky hand towards the cabinet next to the mirror, where there was one.

As the male started to administer first aid, she opened her eyes to watch him, quietly studying the male, so like the other one. She wanted to ask about him, seemed her dark energy had actually done some damage, but she didn't want to risk their ire again and so she kept her mouth shut. After being doctored up, and moved her to a seat in their ship, she fired off a quick message to her own team, so that they could pick up her ship and assess the damage. She closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them as she heard them talking about her. In pain and still in shock, her brain was a little slower, but she was able to cut through her restraints easily, and she shakily made it to her feet. Silently walking over to them, she leaned against the wall, and spoke up, her voice a little hoarse, words slurred together, "Takme to Mercium. Thyl kilyou if you killllllllmue. They ca hamle miwiunds..." She shook her head, trying to make it more coherent, and made herself dizzy enough that she slid back down to sit against the wall.

She looked back up at the hulking males over her, and felt blackness tinge her consciousness. Before she went under though, she spoke again, "Sowy bout himmmm. Hard tocontwol tat swide..." Her eyes rolled into the back of her head, and a large black mass appeared over her, covering her as if to protect her. If they attacked, the mass would simply put them on their ass, again and again, but it did not attack.

The males would just watch her as she... tried to speak to them before she just kinda... fell down. There was a moment of silence as Daimus looked over at Maverick. "The fuck did she just say?" He asked, looking back over at the black woman. Shaking his head, Maverick would shrug a bit. "I... have no idea, beyond wanting to go to Mercum, I guess thats the plan then." Maverick said as he stood up, turning to the body on the floor. "Jerath..." He started, gesturing to the female. "Take her somewhere more comfortable than the floor." He said before he went back to the cockpit. Daimus would join him upfront as Jerath carried the female over to one of the chairs and set her down in it.

"Call Neph, let him know we are taking the target to Mercium." Maverick said as he began prepping the ship for takeoff. As they got off the ground, he would double check that this ship was capable of doing plane jumps. Once he made sure it did have a planar drive, he began to spin it up, and making calculations to jump into Mercium. These calculations would take awhile, so everyone would need to get comfortable. It took about an hour for him to prepare the jump, after which he angled the ship toward the sky before firing the drive. The jump was nigh instantaneous, and they were floating over the large fortress metropolis that made up the plane of Mercium. Considered one of the smaller planes, since it was simply a massive city on a continent sized chunk of land. Despite its size, Mercium was one of the more powerful planes, boasting a very powerful military that essentially ruled the plane.

It was not long before the freighter was approached by several fighter craft, and they received a hail. Maverick would read the message before replying, and glancing over at Daimus. "They wanted to know why we here." He said simply before getting another message, and replying to it as well. "They are welcoming us to land at one of their fancy docks." He said with a grin as he followed the ship in. The landing went smoothly, and Maverick stepped into the back. "Alright, whoever you are. Its time to take you in." He said, before helping her to her feet and walking her down the boarding ramp.

No doubt whoever wanted her would be waiting for them when they stepped down.

The black energy seemed to disappear as Jerath picked her up and set her down on the seat. She slept like the dead, blood slowly seeping into the bandages that the male had placed on her.

As the ship planet jumped, she awoke, opening her eyes as they started receiving messages. A snarky grin played upon her lips as they flew through the air and landed on the fancy dock. She recognized it, from countless of other flights, and shook her head. The male came over and helped her up, and then escorted her to the ramp. She looked over to see a very familiar male form, and smirked as they met him at the bottom of the boarding ramp. She stayed quiet, as she felt his eyes travel down her body and then back up, to her face, a tightening in his jaw, before he turned to the male next to her.
"Maverick. Why is she in such bad shape?"

Commander Black was an older intimidating tomcat, and was a high ranking officer in the military here. He narrowed his green eyes at Maverick, waiting for a response. After he answered, Kia broke in, saying, "It isn't their fault... I did fight back..." She wasn't slurring her words as much, but she was most definitely still in shock, her body shivering with chills.
"You should have come when you were called then... and not taken that hardware."
"Sorry."
"Kiandra Rose Black, sorry, is not going to cut it." His voice was low now, as he spoke to her with a familiarity that was starting to worry Maverick.
"I sincerely apologize Commander Black. There is that better dad?" Kiandra said, her voice waspish, horrifying Maverick as he realized that the male in front of him was her father, and he was delivering her in that state.
"Get her to the infirmary." He said, and Kia was handed off to one of the guards. She turned to look at Maverick, and waved, "See you later hotshot."

Commander Black turned back to Maverick, and slid him an electronic pad. The amount agreed upon, plus a twenty percent bonus, was displayed, awaiting approval from Maverick to go through.
"Did she put up a fight? I would imagine so, for her to take that type of damage..." Although his tone was light, Maverick could tell he was angry.

Maverick raised his hands in a very, 'don't look at me' way when he was questioned about her condition. "I did everything I could to minimize the damage. From offering to take her in peacefully, to trying to knock he rout with magic, she simply refused to do things the easy way." He said before Kiandra interjected, oddly enough supporting him. This is where he began to get suspicious. Black feline male, showing concern for younger black feline female who stole valuable hardware. He, being as intelligent as he was, figured out that they were family by this dynamic. The reason the bounty was only set for alive made all the more sense now. Perhaps taking her in in this state was not the best move. He would raise an eyebrow as she called him hotshot, but did not give her much more of a response. In truth, he was not sure how he felt about seeing her again... but he would see when he saw her he guessed.

Maverick was not too worried, simply because he knew of all the men, he did the least damage, meaning none to the woman. Daimus and Jerath showed a bit of shock and concern when she called him 'dad' but Maverick was mostly unphased. Maverick took the datapad and accepted the transfer, before looking up to make eye contact with the older male. "She did, I can take you to visit my hospitalized brother if you like. I would tell you that, had I known she was your daughter, I would have made sure she did not get hurt. In truth however, it was out of my hands, Mephilis managed to board her ship as she was escaping, planted the tracking beacon that let us find her, and during whatever happened on that ship the two nearly killed one another." He said, in truth, he was not even sure what he did to her, but he had a guess. If he had to put money on it, he was betting blunderbuss.

"Yes. It isn't every day that someone manages to get a hit on Kiandra like that." Commander Black said, before looking at the ship behind them.
"We can take mine." He said, pointing to a sleek vessel, that was docked to the side. He shouted commands to the guards around them, and stated, "Keep an eye on Kia. And leave a space here for her ship, I'm sure her team will have it delivered."

As he led the way up the ramp, in the infirmary, Kiandra was getting settled in a suite, her bandages pulled off her body, and an internal diagnostic performed. It was discovered that she had been bleeding into her lung, through aa tear, and as they prepped her for emergency surgery, she started coughing up blood.
"Where is my daughter!!?"
"Ma'am, you cannot go in there, she's being prepped for surgery!"
The tiny female figure turned, violet eyes narrowing in displeasure, before a wave of dark energy flew from her hand to trap the nurse speaking to her against the wall.
"I dare you to try and keep me out..." Her threatening words were received, and the nurse nodded, eyes wide with trepidation. The female growled and let her do, before heading down the hallway to the room, stopping at the window, her hand coming up to cover her mouth as she watched her daughter fight to survive. Her gray fur sparkled under the lights, with darker gray swirls all over her body. She sighed and sat in the chair provided, waiting for word that she had come out just fine.
And she would, or Seline Black would kill those mercenaries who had brought her in.

Commander Black followed Maverick into the hospital after they had landed in Nimia, and with a simple word, had Mephilis moved to his own room, with room for the other males to sit.

"Yes sir." Maverick said, following the commander up the ramp and into his ship with his brothers. It was not the most eventful ride, back to Nimia, everyone sat in silence for the most part. As they left the dock, the commander might notice some tell tale signs of battle between the dock and nearby tavern. There were authorities around, investigating... or atleast pretending to. Generally, as long as no innocence were harmed, they were easy to convince to look the other way.

Upon entering the hospital, they were lead to the room where Nepharious was watching over Mephilis. The pale colored feline looked up at his brothers as they entered with the commander. His eyes trailed over to the golden male, who was asleep and hooked up to a healing apparatus that was slowly regenerating him. "Was a bit shaky at first, that energy boulder or whatever it was, crushed a few organs and broke most of the bones in his body. Somehow his heart survived, but it was damaged... Its looking like he will make it now... So long as the power does not randomly go out." He said, his eyes drifting back toward the commander, "Whose this?"

Commander Black looked over at the golden male laying asleep in the bed. So his daughter's power had grown, exponentially if the damage in front of him was to be believed. He smirked, before turning his sharp eyes towards the male who had spoken, "I am Commander Black." He paused, then turned back to Maverick, "If you would like to, we can have your brother transferred to our medical facility. It had better care, and it's the least I can offer after what my daughter did."

He left it at that, giving them a chance to talk about it, as he exited the room. A couple minutes later, Maverick joined him, telling him they were agreed, and Black nodded, heading down to the desk to begin the transfer. A large medical ship landed on the top of the building, and they ushered Mephilis out and onto it, his brothers joining him on the flight.

Black headed back to his ship, alone, stopping to look over the battle ground. Seems his daughter gave as good as she got. He was certainly proud of her, at least with how her abilities had grown. Now if only she would focus them into something worthwhile instead of what she was doing now. He shook his head, and called his mate, checking in on her, and their daughter. He knew she wouldn't have been kept away, and he was right.
"She made it out of surgery. Had a laceration to her lung from some shrapnel. Otherwise, she was just dealing with shock. She's sleeping right now."
"Good. She did pretty well against the five of them."
"Body bags is what they deserve..."
"My little bloodthirsty mate, she is going to be fine."
"Yes well, when I get my hands on them..." She trailed off, and Black decided he wasn't going to tell her who exactly was on their way to the medical center. Better to tell her face to face.

At the Black private dock, Kiandra's ship was landing, a couple hasty repairs having been made, to make it to the dock. A small female dropped down from the mangled ramp, muttering to herself as she slipped around the ship, being ignored by the guards on the dock. She looked down at her pad, making annotations on a replica of the ship and then looked up as Black's personal ship returned. He exited and smiled at the little female who grinned at him and waved. He waved back, then proceeded towards the medical building, to make sure that Mephilis' transfer had gone well.

As luck would have it, they put him across the hall from Kiandra's room. He sighed, shaking his head at the headache, as his mate came out of the room and pretty much pounced on him in relief.

The four males were sat around the fallen male, there was alot of silence between them. Now that he was in a better medical facility, it was mostly just a matter of time before he was up and running again. There was however, one rather important question. Daimus glanced over at Maverick who was sitting near the unconscious male, "You want to call home?" He asked, his silver haired brother turning his gaze to meet him. "No, you crazy? Mom would kill me if she figured out I let her favorite get hurt." Maverick said, earning a quick glare from Jerath. Looking over at his purple eyed brother, he knew he had chosen his words poorly. "He's not her favorite, I am." The big brother growled, Maverick would also realize he was getting glares from the other brothers. All mama's boys, using the 'F' word was not the best idea. Raising his hands he sighed. "Whoever is the favorite, I just don't want her mad at me!"

"So, what are we going to do?" Daimus asked, looking back over at the golden male. "Are we just going to sit here, and wait for him tog et on his feet?" The blue haired feline asked, his gaze shifting back toward Maverick. Closing his eyes, Maverick would shake his head before placing his hand on his brother's bed. "No, he would not want us to watch him recover..." He said, giving his twin another look before standing up. "I'm going to go see if I can find some more work.." He said before he made his way out of the room, heading out of the hospital intent on finding some kind of work for them to do.

Black and Seline sat together inside Kiandra's room, talking quietly as they waited for her to wake up from the anesthesia. Seline growled under her breath as he told her what had happened.
"So the group you hired to bring her back did this? Five males to one female?! Are you kidding me?" Her magic seemed to grow in a steady wave around them. Black chuckled, and laid a hand on hers to calm her back down.
"Our girl is strong. She'll be fine Seline."
"It doesn't matter... what were they thinking using deadly force? I thought you made it clear on the bounty that you wanted her alive!?"
"I did love. I didn't tell them she was our daughter. They didn't know they needed to treat her with kid gloves."
"She doesn't need kid gloves... she..." Seline deflated into his arms as she sighed. She was angry, but she could rein it in.

As they sat quietly, Kiandra gasped for air, coughing as she tried to sit up, and pull the ivs that were in her arm out. Black jumped up and held her down, speaking to her in a low tone, as Seline rushed out of the room to grab a nurse.

Kiandra calmed down at her father's voice, settling as she opened her eyes to look up at him.
"Hey pops... why do you look so worried?"
"Because you gave us a fright... what the hell hit you?"
"A blunderbus..."
Black's eye went wide as he sat back, "Dear lord..." He looked over as Seline and a nurse walked in, the nurse checking over Kia's vital signs, before removing some ivs and pulse monitor.
Seline leaned over, to press a kiss to her forehead, and she smiled at her mom, the two females touching noses for a moment.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I'm fine. Is... is the merc I hit with my wave okay?" Kia asked her father, who gave her a calculating look.
"He's fine. A couple broken bones and some crushed organs..." He didn't tell her the extent of his injuries, to not worry her.
"Good. I tried to apologize, but I don't think they heard me... I was in shock..."
"Yes... well you need to rest." Seline said, interjecting their conversation. Kia nodded, and slowly fell asleep.

Seline looked at her mate, "Out with it my dark heart... you just lied to her."
"She hit him with a dark energy field, that crushed him into the ground. Most of his bones were broken, and his organs got crushed. I'm surprised he survived."
"Her power is getting worse..." Black nodded at his mate's words, looking down at his daughter.

Several hours would pass, long enough for Maverick to find a little bit of work and he and his brothers were off. Mephilis would lay, mostly uninterrupted, aside from from random visitors. Finally, the large golden feline would begin to stir, starting with some subtle hand movements. Eventually he would open his whiteblack eyes and lazily looking around. The healing implements of Mercium had worked much faster than those on Nimia. Slowly sitting up, his teeth clenched as he took the area around him in.

Elsewere, the rest of the princes had used "their" freighter to plane jump back to Nimia. Making sure to land 'their' ship outside of the city as to not alert the former owner. They began scoping out the city, searching for a lead on a wanted drug smuggler.

Kiandra was up and stretching, her side bandaged and only a small twinge in her side. She grabbed the iv bag she had, and stuck her head out, trying to figure out where her parents had headed to. She wanted coffee, but a familiar scent wafted from the room across from her, and she narrowed her eyes. Now why on earth were the males who had captured her here?

She tilted her head, and making sure the think black gown her mom had brought her covered, mostly everything, it only reached her mid thigh, and her cleavage was on full display, she tip toed across the hallway, on bare feet. As such she was much shorter than when she had first met them. She opened the door, and slid in, looking out the door, her back to the bed, as she made sure no one had caught her. She turned around, and nearly squeaked as she realized the golden furred male who had shot her with the Blunderbus was laying in bed, looking at her.
"Oh. You're alive. Good. I would have hated to have killed you."
If he took a good look at her, he would see the Blunderbus had caused laceration from her throat down her chest, and her bandage was visible under the dress.

When the door opened, Mephilis had expected one of his brothers... or a doctor...
But it was her.
He growled a bit as he forced himself into a sitting position. Reaching for anything he could use as a weapon as he prepared for another confrontation. When she turned to him, he was giving her an intense glare not unlike the he gave her the first time he saw her. When she spoke, he narrowed one eye in confusion. He managed to get his hand on a scalpel as he took in her form, and the damage he had done to it. "You would have hated to do the thing you literally tried to do?" His voice rather deep, but much more ragged than in would normally be due to his time laid up in here. Whiteblack eyes shifting around the room, before back to her. "Where have you taken me, and where are my brothers?" He asked, clearly unaware of what had transpired since they fought on her ship.

His body had been mostly regenerated, but he was far from one hundred percent, it was unlikely that he could fight off a team of kittens in this state.
But he would damn sure try.
