"Hey, so..." She looked a little sad, playing with her food, "I think you deserve an explanation...well, I don't think you do, I know you do...but I guess I've been trying to work up the courage to say something.."
 
She frowned heavily, "If you want to end things after I tell you, I'll understand..." She said softly, "but, um...I'm Trans..." She glanced up at him, looking anxious.
 
She blinked, her face showing that she was trying to process his question, "B... Because I'm...male to female...?"
 
"Yeah, that's.. fine.." he said, smiling a bit. "I appreciate you telling me.. but I'm not going anywhere.."
 
"B-But I...I still..." She looked distressed, confused, like she really wasn't expecting such a calm answer; wasn't expecting him to stay.
 
"I-I didn't...get bottom surgery..." She muttered, "So I still have my..." Was she trying to find an excuse to make him leave? Was she worried he wouldn't like her still male part? Would he never want to sleep with her after this? She was so scared.
 
She took a deep breath and nodded, "Ok...ok, I trust you.." She said before giving a weak laugh, "God, I don't even know why I was worried, you're the best boyfriend ever anyway.."
 
They ate peacefully and went a out the rest of the night like nothing happened. She laid against him as they watched a new series on Netflix, petting his thigh affectionately as she always did.
