((No need to be sorry. I just had a worry that I was hijacking the RP by accident))
"Yes. It seems easier now," Red answered about the homework. "Now that I know you a little better." But it was harder too, also because he knew Allie a little better. It wasn't just her lovely, softly featured face, her cutely exotic round ears and her beautiful body that attracted the young elf. Her eyes were open and honest.
The elf girls and boys Red's parents had wanted him to date had always seemed more closed off and distant. Elves could be very reserved at times, and though a few of his dates had wanted sex, it was clear that none were ready for a deeper relationship than what the mortals called "friends with benefits".
Among other humans, even among his closest friends, there was also a barrier behind their eyes. He was an elf, mysterious and magical. Humans and elves were often cautious in their dealings with each other. They were different enough that each feared an innocent remark or action that might offend the other.
If Allie had such fears, she didn't let them dictate her actions. She had encouraged Silvanus to open up more with her than he ever had with anyone else before. He was aware of how reserved he still was, but Red thought it might be for the best. Allie wasn't just his friend, if he was not being presumptuous to call her that. She had been placed in charge by Red's parents. He owed her respect and obedience.
"Yes, we are different," Silvanus agreed. He couldn't help but look into her wonderful eyes. The elf was fascinated by them, and by the wonderfully understanding young woman sitting next to him. "But it is good to be able to talk with you about our differences. I think many would not wish to speak of such things." Red almost laughed again when Allie mentioned bathing.
"I'm sorry, Allie. I never did answer you before." He cast his gaze down in embarrassment. "I was still to sugar drunk to stop giggling. No, you do not have to bathe me. The bathing pool is not too deep and my parents have placed protections on it so that it would be very hard for someone to drown, even if they wanted to." He shook his head slightly. "Not that I have anything you have not already seen on the bodies of your charges on the swim team."
Since Allie had said she was the manager of the team, Silvanus assumed she was with them at all times, even in the locker room. It seemed very unusual, based on what he knew of humans, but Allie seemed a wonderfully unusual human.
"Oh, you will surely wish to bathe as well," Silvanus realized. "Have you ever used an elven bathing pool?"
