The Vampire Hunters Mistake (LunarWolf and GuardianAngel)

the doctor chuckled "you are right but we still want to make sure that everything is wrapped right and that we dont miss anything I would hate to see a dancer crippled because of shotty medical treatments"

Chrissanth was giving a nod of her head, wincing a bit when her ankle was prodded at. Small amount of pain but nothing major.

"We aren't actually sure what had happened, Sire. The vampire that had gotten tossed up onto the stage had been just standing there when the other vampire attacked him. He fought back out of self defense; the other one unfortunately got away. But we did notice that his eyes had been darkening." one of the guards spoke, which had the few others that were there frowning a bit. Never a good sign. Chrissanth listened to the conversation while the doctor tended to her ankle; although she was tilting her head a bit when the guard was mentioning how the vampire's eyes had darkened. Not an intentional overhearing, since they were in the same room and speaking right there. She was pretending to be that clueless human, having no idea what they were talking about when they mentioned the darkening eyes.

“Find him and fast if you need bring out the hounds we don’t need an attack on humans or the vampire going rouge” Romeo frowned as he was rather irked no vampire went with out blood in his part of the kingdom so that fact that the males eyes were darkening bothered him

Chrissanth merely listened at the time although she was eventually questioning about it. More about of they were safe

Romeo looked at her and nodded “my men will escort all humans and their families to the castle until he is caught or to one of the strong holds” Romeo knew that wouldn’t make it certain that no one would get attacked but he would do his best

Chrissanth was just looking for a moment in time but she didn't say anything at all, merely wrapped her arms around herself as though she were cold.

Chrissanth was a bit startled by his action but was thanking him in a soft voice before she was stating that she should probably get back to the troop.

"the troop is being moved to the casle once the doctor is done tending to your ankle I'll escort you to the room you will be using while here" Romeo smiled at her lightly

Chrissanth was giving a small nod of her head before she was watching the doctor for a moment. So the information that was about Romeo was already incorrect. It had stated that he was rather heartless towards humans; and really didn't care at all what happened to them. Well if this is what they considered heartless.... then she was most definitely okay with it. No he was filled with compassion and worry.

Eventually it came time for the spar between Rose and a few of the more skilled knights. Originally it was suppose to be with the generals, although Shayne had needed to send them off to take care of some issues along the border. So they had each hand selected one of their best knights. In order for Rose to be considered for the role of personal guard she would have to beat these three knights. This is something that all applicants would have to do, is defeat them. And then they would have matches between each other in brackets, until there was only one remaining. Having them go up against the knights was to dwindle down the number for nearly one hundred applicants down to the top ten.

Rose stood in the yard with her back to the door while she worked on tying her hair up and then restraining it so that during the spar it didn't get in the way. ROse understood the process so she didn't mind and it would give her a chance to work some of the tension out of her body before she returned to work in the kitchens.

Soon enough all of those that were wishing to obtain the job were standing out in the yard and Shayne was explaining the process to everybody. "Here stand three of my knights. You will each fight them. You must beat at least two of them to be able to move onto the next round. If you cannot even beat the first one, then you are disqualified right away." Shayne was speaking.

Soon enough, the doctor seemed to be done tending Chrissanth's ankle and she was allowed to leave. Thankfully it didn't seem to be a major sprain and she was acting delighted to know that she would be able to resume her dancing in about a week or so; as long as she took it easy in that week.

Romeo smiled and then after she was moved to a wheel chair he took her ot the room she would be using while there so that she could rest.

Rose watched the other vampires around her and they all looked smug and were talking how they would have no. issues beatng the three men

"Don't be too over confident. While these three men are not my generals, they have each been personally trained by one of the generals. Should anything happen to my generals, these three are the ones who would step up into that rank." Shayne was commenting which had a few of the vampires seeming to realize that perhaps being over confident wasn't the best of ideas. These men weren't the low ranked knights that they thought they had been.

Chrissanth gazed around for a moment although she did find herself a bit surprised that the prince himself was escorting her to the room that she would be using. She was acting a bit flustered and stating that he didn't need to do all of this, she could walk on her own.

"no the doctor says to rest so that is what I want you to do" Romeo didn't mind at all and it allowed him to see who she reacted to certain things.

Rose looked over when she was called up as the first one to battle and she nodded and picked up her two swords that she always weilded and headed to the ring

Chrissanth was just looking towards the ground for a moment before she spoke in a soft voice, "But should a prince such as yourself truly being doing something like this for a mere human."

"it is my job as a prince to do this you are on my lands and that makes you my responsibility a true prince protects those on his lands and makes sure that they are always well" Romeo knew not every one thought that way

Chrissanth was giving a nod of her head before she was commenting that that definitely made a lot of sense. She found herself absently rubbing at the scar on her neck, feeling that phantom pain. Even after five years she still felt that pain from the vampire that had bitten her; and all she could remember was the sharp pain and those deep red eyes. But she had to wonder if even now.... if she were to ever run into that vampire, if he or she were still alive, if she would recognize them or not.

While Romeo tended to her Rose stared down the fist knight she had to battle and she could hear the others mocking her saying that a little girl like her needed to go home and grow in to her fangs. None of them knew she was a human

After a while the final ten had been decided upon, with Rose being in those numbers. Shayne was calling it for the day and telling everybody to return to their assigned rooms, which would be shown to them, and rest up. The final test would be in a few days, after his assistant figured out who was going to go up against who.

Chrissanth sat in her room just gazing out the window. It had already been a number of hours since the prince had brought her to her rather spacious room. She was slowly getting up to her feet, careful not to put much weight on her ankle so that she could walk to the door.

Rose looked around the room she had been shown too and frowned a little it was rather opulent and feminine and while she understood that she had to use the room it bothered her.

Food was being delivered to all of those that had competed and made it into the top ten. While Rose had been hired on as a cook, at that point in time she was permitted to be in the kitchen. She was to focus on her training and resting up, at least until they were done with the competition and the prince's personal guardian had been named.

As this was happening, Chrissanth was roaming the hallways of the palace, just looking around. She however using a pair of crutches that the doctor had given her, so that she could move about without having to worry about her ankle.

Rose didn't like that she couldn't be in the kitchen but she understood where they were coming form as if she was chosen she would have to remain in perfect shape and health.

several maids offered to get a wheel chair for her but when she declined they left her be as they didn't want to be rude to her
