Unfortunately for Saeko the two-headed oni wasn't that stupid. Now that it suspected the presence of another individual her ventriloquism just wasn't fooling anyone. "Who out 'dere?" The right head said, followed by the left head continuing the train of thought. "Better leave before find you or you get smashed." The one saving grace was that the lumbering behemoth was not good at making a proper search pattern, the two heads benefited it's ability to spy on its surroundings to be sure but it really wasn't sure what direction her voice had been coming from.
For the moment it was looking around itself, sweeping the log that it brandished as a club through the foliage to try and root out any hiding spots, though after a few moments it seemed to be turning in her direction by accident. "Better not be furry thing." One commented, clearly angered by the prospect of seeing what she could only assume they meant as tanuki. "Maybe is human? Ooohhh, that be real nice."
Without being an expert in demonology or diplomacy it was difficult for Saeko to get a proper read on the situation. However, there did seem to be a gut feeling that she might be able to negotiate with it somehow it that became necessary. Of course, she could always try to escape and come back later when it wasn't on guard but stealth really wasn't the strong suit of her class as a samurai-ko. If she felt particularly uninterested in continuing this quest she could always try to push past the tanuki who gave it to her. What was the adorable little furball going to do to stop her? Even corrupted as he was he certainly didn't feel threatening.
