Kai Mason has been bored lately. Sure, his top of the line tech company Mason Industries has been booming. Big advances in cybernetics, holographics, and even the sexual tech department has been making big leaps. But Kai is bored. The company pretty much runs itself, and a single person can only think of so many new ideas without inspiration. Then one day, he came across the idea of having a contracted live-in sex partner. Sex without the commitment. Of course, he couldn't just advertise that he wanted a contracted friend with benefits. However, he can advertise for a live-in house cleaner. So that's what he did. He also listed that he prefers a male. Then, Kai did up a contract primarily based on the live-in keeping Kai's rather large two floor home clean and organized. In fine print, Kai hides what he really wants; a sex partner that, as per contract, cannot say no or deny Kai's advances. The live-in must also allow Kai to test new equipment on him, with no choice in the matter.

Today, the ad has been answered. Kai had only briefly spoken with the younger man on the phone to relay information, not enough information of course, and his home address. The younger man had been eager, even after Kai had explained that there would be a year long contract to sign. When the time comes, Kai is standing on the front step dressed in a charcoal dress shirt and a plum tie, and black jeans. His long light blond hair is mostly tied up in a tail, though some strands frame his face. No harm in making a good first impression.

Lyric was more than excited when he saw the ad while messing around online one day, pretty much requesting a free roommate as long as they helped clean and such. “This is perfect!” Lyric said to himself as he smiled happily. If this place was as nice as the person advertising it said it was, then this was a great deal and anyone would be stupid to pass it up. A beautiful, large house for free, just as long as he cleans it? How hard could that be! Not to mention, Lyric had been struggling lately, his job paid well, but where he currently lived was so expensive with the rent that he was barely able to afford food. With this contract being one year, he could work and save a crap ton of money so that by the time the year ended, he could go for a house!

Smiling happily, Lyric wasted no time with contacting the male and making up a date that the two could get together and talk.

On the day of the meeting, Lyric dressed himself in regular clothes, having never really been the fancy type, and went to meet up with him. Dressed in a pink hoodie, black jeans, and grey converses, he followed the address he had been given to the males house, using google maps to help him. He had decided to walk being it was a nice day out and headed up the sidewalk, seeing the man standing on the porch. He smiled and gave a wave. “Hey! I’m Lyric.” He greeted as he walked up to the porch.

Kai tilts his head at the sight of the young blond coming up his front steps. Smaller than he had expected, but very attractive nonetheless. This boy would certainly be fun to play with, and to test his toys on. Kai holds out his right hand for the boy to shake. His grip is firm, but the handshake is brief. "Welcome. Lyric, right? Come inside."

Kai turns and leads the way into the house. The front entrance is open concept with the living room, decorated in rich navy blues and gold accents. Tye furniture is soft fabric, a sofa, loveseat, and oversized armchair surrounding a round dark wood coffee table. A large TV is hung on the wall, and there's a fireplace to the right. A bay window to the left looks out on the front yard, bordered by large bookshelves.

Kai takes Lyric into the kitchen, a state of the art steel and white marble setup. A dark wood dining table has six matching chairs, and an island counter has three barstools at it. On the island counter is a three page leaflet, detailing the contract. The second page has the fine print regarding Kai's true intentions.

Lyric was surprised by how firm the males handshake had been. Everything about this guy screened business, pretty much the complete opposite of Lyric. This seemed to be even more confirmed when they entered the house and he saw how it was set up. It was amazing, don’t get him wrong, just very professional in his opinion. Not that he didn’t mind.

“Woah....” he said, taking it all in as he did a small spin. “This place is cool!” He smiled wide and looked at Kai.

He followed him into the kitchen, looking at the table and seeing how many chairs were at it. “Dang, I don’t think I even know enough people to fill those chairs.” He joked with a small laugh. As his eyes looked around the kitchen, he noticed the paper on the counter and walked over, grabbing it. “I’m gonna guess that this is the contract, huh?”

Kai stands at the end of the island counter, tucking his hands into his pockets. He nods, blue eyes dropping to the contract in Lyric's hands. "Feel free to read it, but I can summarize it for you. The contract covers your duties, such as cleaning the house, doing the laundry, cooking, whether that's from memory or from recipes I don't care, keeping both the front and back yards maintained. Essentially serving me in every aspect." Kai puts emphasis on the word 'every'.

Kai pulls a black ink pen from his pocket, setting it on the counter in front of Lyric. "I expect you to resign from any other jobs you currently have, as you will be kept very busy here." Kai refrains from smirking at his own thoughts. "In return, there will be no cost to your room and food, free access to the wifi connection, and freedom to use any of my home's facilities. If you agree with the terms, sign your name on the third page."

Lyric nodded his head as he listened to Kai give a brief explanation of what the contract said while his eyes skimmed over the page. Figuring that there was nothing too special and that he pretty much knew the gist of everything, he took the pen that was set down in front of him and got ready to sign. He had to admit, he was a bit bummed out about having to resign from his job as it did hurt his plans a little, but after seeing the place in person, he wasn’t too broken-hearted about it.

He flipped straight to the third page, not even bothering to look at the second page, and signed his name right where he was instructed to. “Annnnnnnnnd done!” He said, setting the pen down and standing up, smiling big. “

"Oh yes, and you'll get a weekly pay of three hundred dollars for your own personal use." That would mean twelve hundred dollars a month. Kai reaches over and takes the contract from Lyric's fingers. Perfect, he had chosen not to read the fine print paragraph at the bottom of the second page. "I'll have a photo copy made for you to keep, and get it to you tomorrow. Would you like to see the rest of the house?"

Kai turns to leave the kitchen, heading back to the front room. There's a hallway to the rest of the first floor near the large staircase, and this is where Kai goes first. He pauses at a full bathroom with a combo shower/tub, letting Lyric look before moving on. Next is an indoor gym; it's not large, but has a full set of equipment and weights. There's even a sandbag hung in one corner. The last room on the ground floor is nearly the same size as the living room, and the walls are lined either books. There's another bay window with a window bench looking out over the spacious backyard. "You're welcome to use the gym and library as much as you'd like, provided you clean up after yourself."

Lyrics ears perked up at the mention of getting $300 a week and he had to resist the urge of doing a little air fist. So his plan hadn’t gone down the drain after all! This was literally the deal of a lifetime and at this point he was starting to think Kai was crazy for all of this. Offering someone to live in a big house, for free, all they had to do was clean, plus they get paid? With no catch at all? It was crazy.

Lyric quickly followed after Kai, looking at the bathroom in awe and the indoor gym in amazement. It may not have been big, but him having one in general was enough to impress Lyric. What really shocked him was the library with a view of the backyard.

“This is all amazing!” Lyric exclaimed as he walked into the room and looked over the books. “How can you just allow someone to be here for free like this and pretty much expect nothing but cleaning from them and while paying them?” He questioned. “Isn’t that crazy?”

"I make a lot of money, Lyric. And I don't have time to be cleaning this house myself. Nor do I want a team of cleaners invading the privacy of my home." Kai pauses, allowing himself to smirk. "But trust me, it's not entirely free." Before Lyric can question his words, Kai is heading back out of the library. He returns to the front room, then heads upstairs.

The upper landing splits in two directions. Kai turns right. The first door on the left is open to show what is clearly an office. A window looks over the backyard, letting in sunlight. At the center is a large oak desk with two computer monitors. The computer tower is tucked beneath to one side. The office chair is leather, but looks comfortable enough to spend hours in. Against the wall next to the door is a crimson lounge chaise beneath a corner floor lamp. The shelves against the left wall are filled with binders, all of which are neatly labeled with project titles. The right wall boasts a case of awards and certificates; Kai's earnings for his company's technological advancements.

The second door on the left is clearly the laundry room. Washer and dryer, shelves with neatly folded linens. Not overly fancy, but certainly efficiently organized. Kai pauses at the door on the right, setting his palm against it but not opening it. "This room is off limits and will remain locked." For now. Kai fully intends to introduce Lyric to the fun behind this door, but not yet. "Understand?"

Lyric sent him a questioning look about the not entirely free part, but didn’t get a chance to ask any questions as they were on the move again. He was shown an office that he slightly fell in love with. It seemed like a peaceful place in his opinion and he could imagine what it would be like to see in the comfy looking chair with a beautiful sunset shining in while he played on the computer with music playing.

So busy imagining that, he almost missed all the awards that were presented along the wall. He didn’t really know what most of them were for or about, but they looked cool and he knew that they clearly meant something important.

The other room he was shown was a laundry room that he did make a note of being he would be keeping everything clean. What got him, though, was the room on the right with a door that Kai chose not to open and show him. He laughed a little bit and nodded. “Yeah, sure. What is it, some sort of sex dungeon?” He joked playfully, not at all meaning it.

Kai blinks at Lyric's attempted joke, then clears his throat and moves down the hall. He goes to the left wing, pausing at a second large bathroom on the left. The door across, to the right, is clearly a guest bedroom, though it's fairly good sized. There's a white oak dresser, a queen bed with a matching frame, bedside table, and a bookshelf. The room is relatively plain, the walls a light cream, with a white ceiling and light grey carpeting. The linens on the bed, and the curtains, are white with silver detailing. "This will be your room, and the bathroom across the hall is yours to use. If you don't like the colors, feel free to redecorate. It will be yours for the year."

Lyric pouted as the man didn’t laugh at his joke and followed him to the next place which would be his bedroom. “Dang.... this room is still nicer than my room at my apartment.” He commented as he walked over to the bed and hopped onto it. He grinned as he stretched out, loving how soft the bed was. “Oh, this is nice. I love this.” He grabbed each side of the blankets and wrapped them around himself like a burrito. “It’s soooo soft.”

Kai snorts, leaning his hip and shoulder against the doorframe. The boy is definitely like a child, reveling in soft things. "My room is the third door, at the end of the hall. I expect you to clean it as well, and I won't get mad if you need to come in while I'm sleeping. I'm a light sleeper, so if you need anything during the night, don't be afraid to wake me."

Kai is amused by Lyric's behavior, but shakes his head lightly and doesn't comment. "I'll be in the den making a photocopy of the contract. Hire a moving company to have your things brought here, I'll pay them." With that, heads back to the den. He's got a small photocopier in the cupboard of the shelving beneath the project binders.

Despite being occupied in wrapping himself up in the blanket, Lyric still picked up every word that Kai had said and even gave a nod in response, even though there was a chance the male didn’t see it. Hearing him say that he was gonna make some copies of the contract couldn’t help but make him wonder why there needed to be a contract in the first place. However, he decided that it was another thing that would probably just stay a mystery.

He sat up on the bed as Kai made him realize that he would have to get a moving company. “He’s right!” He said and quickly fished his phone out of his pocket. He quickly began to look for the cheapest moving company around.

Kai realizes as he runs the contract through the photocopier that Lyric likely will hire a cheap company. He chuckles, shaking his head. Then he opens the next cabinet over, revealing a safe of his own design. A pinpad code and thumbprint are needed to activate a voice recognition, which is keyed to his voice. Once the safe is open, Kai places the original copy of the contract inside. The safe also contains a spare master key to his company building, and a silver pocket watch his mother had given him, which holds his favorite photo of him and his parents from when he was a child.

Closing the safe, Kai punches a staple through the photocopied contracts corner to hold the three pages together, then walls back to Lyric's room. "There you go, a copy for you to reference at any time." Kai sets the contract on the dresser. "Did you find a company?"

Lyric looked up when Kai came back inside and nodded. “I did! I found one that’s only about $350! Which is perfect because it’s not like I have that many things. My current place is pretty small.” He said to him.

“Not to mention, it’s not that far.” Unlike Kais place, Lyric lived in a tiny apartment that only consisted of three rooms. A bedroom with a small closet, a bathroom, and a kitchen that was combined into the living room. It was simple, but it got him through the times. That was a big reason why he was so impressed with the size of Kai’s house, even with the the simplest things like the laundry room. Currently, Lyric had to share a laundry room with everyone else in his apartment complex.

Kai nods, tucking his hands into his pockets. "Alright, if you need to go meet them, that's fine. I'll be here, so the front door will be unlocked. I'll be in the den working. Interrupt me when everything is done so I can pay them." Kai nods again, them leaves the doorway.

Kai does indeed go to the den, sitting down at the computer. Tapping the desk, which is actually a touch-top built into the wood, turns on an entire touch screen surface. This allows Kai to work with a keyboard, moving the cursor by sliding one finger across a square cursor control, and even sketching designs using a touch pen.

Lyric nodded his head and gave a soft smile. “Ok.” He said and dialed the number on the website. He talked with the crew, giving them the address of the his apartment and telling them that he would meet them there. He got up and left the house, making his way to his place and arriving just in time for the movers. He let them inside and allowed them to start moving the big items as he worked quickly to pack up the smaller things. He helped load them all into the truck and it didn’t take long before his place was completely empty.

He closed the door for the last time, honestly a little sad to be leaving it, but knowing he was moving onto a better deal, and headed downstairs. He told the guys the address of the new place and made his way back to it.

Kai bristles at the thought of having strangers in his home, but he had told Lyric to get a moving company to help him move his things. So Kai stays in the den, trying to ignore the extra voices. He's a very private man, so having so many people in his home sets him on edge. Outside his home, he can be very social and outgoing. But here, he prefers having very minimal people.

Kai continues to work until Lyric comes to get him. He follows the boy downstairs, picking up his wallet from a side table in the front entrance and swiping a silver credit card in the moving company's offered machine. The moment they leave, Kai becomes far more relaxed.

Lyric got there with the crew not too long later and helped them unload everything to his room, getting the boxes inside along with the his furniture. It was going to be a little crowded for a little bit being he has now just combined the current stuff in his room with his other stuff, but he figured that it was better to get everything in one go rather than piece by piece. When they finished, he went to where Kai was and told him that they were all set and ready to pay.

He watched as he paid them and they left, noticing that Kai seemed to relax once they were gone. “Well, I’m gonna go finish unpacking.” He said to him and gave a soft smile.

Kai glances briefly at Lyric, then nods slightly. "Do you have any good allergies or foods you don't like? I'll order pizza tonight." Kai waits for Lyric's answer, then returns upstairs to his den. He spends the remainder of the day there, only coming down when the doorbell rings to announce the arrival of pizza.

Kai pays for the pizza, giving the attractive delivery boy a generous tip, and a wink to make him blush. Then he takes the two pizza boxes to the kitchen. "Lyric! Come downstairs and eat." By the time the boy makes it to the kitchen, Kai has already plated what he wants and is seated on one of the barstools at the island counter.

Lyric shook his head. “No, I’m a foodaholic so I will eat pretty much anything offered to me.” He laughed a little. “My favorite pizza type, though, is either pepperoni or Buffalo chicken, so if you’re up for either of those, so am I.” He smiled. He then headed up to his room and got to work on unboxing everything. He worked right up until Kai called for him and then made his way downstairs.

Coming downstairs, he walked into the kitchen to get hit with the delicious smell of pizza and instantly licked his lips. He walked over to the plate waiting for him and sat down. “Mmmm, it looks so good!” He grinned.

Kai raises an eyebrow, amused. Definitely like a child. "How old are you, Lyric? I don't think I asked that." Kai takes a bite of his pizza. The image seems strange; the blond man dressed in a dress shirt and tie, eating pizza.

Kai pauses, then stands and moves to the fridge. He pulls out a jug of cranberry juice, and two glasses from the cupboard. "Are you good with this? Or do you want something else?"

“Oh, I’m 20.” Lyric replied as he took a bite of his pizza. “Which I would say is very shocking since I act so mature for my age.” He joked with a smile. “And that’s fine. Like I said, I’m down with anything and not really that picky.”

As he ate his pizza, his mind wandered back to earlier when he was being showed around and it included the room that he wasn’t allowed to see. He couldn’t help but wonder what was behind it that he wasn’t allowed to see.

Twenty. Barely out of his teens. No wonder he seems childish. No matter, he's still of legal age. Kai pours the cranberry juice and sets it before Lyric. The remainder of dinner passes in comfortable silence. Afterward, Kai leaves Lyric to clean up. "I'll be in the living room. Finish settling in, maybe read the contract if you feel like it."

The hint to read the contract is because Kai wants to see the boy's reaction to what he has really signed on for. Kai is smirking as he heads out of the kitchen, though his back is to Lyric now, so the boy wouldn't see it. He settles on the sofa, removing his tie and unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt. Kai turns on the TV, flipping to a medical drama.
