Ariella was wrapping a bit of magic around Vivian to help keep her warmer. After that her eyes flickered towards the sky for a moment.
 
Ariella was commenting that she could feel as much. There was a faint shudder passing through her. Although it wasn't long before she just seemed to yell at rhem all to stop, her magic flaring up. A barrier wrapped around the ground just as the king was appearing from nowhere.
 
No Ariella couldn't kept them hidden, although she couldn't keep them protected. The barrier was invisible to the king and his men, although her allies were able to see it clear as day. It wasn't long before one of his magic users was lunging towards where they were at to attack, only to collide with the barrier and get sent backwards.
 
Greg jumped when he heard the sound of a war horn sound and looked off into the distance and spotted what looked to be a small army of demons coming towards them
 
Ariella was looking for a moment although tightened her grip on the barrier as another one of the lord's people was striking at it. Oh these were his elite knights, his personal guards. Knights who had been trained by that of Brayden and Kodi. Which had Brayden grumbling a bit under his breath before he was grabbing for his sword, although it wasn't long before his eyes were flickering towards the small army of demons. Either way this battle go either which direction... the king's men weren't to be underestimated anymore than the demons were.
 
Kodi shifted in place so that he would take the brunt of any attacks that should get through but seeing the demons had him a little confused
 
Brayden was just looking towards Ariella before he questioned, "Can you take Vivian up into the sky with you?" This had the angel giving a nod of her head. A lot safer up there, considering none of the king's men were flyers at all, and there weren't any archers at all either.
 
Ariella was wrapping arms around Vivian and allowing her wings to appear, before taking to the skies, a barrier wrapping around them just to be safe.
 
"Will they be safe?" Vivian was questioning as she just seemed to sit in the air next to Ariella, who had more or less used her barrier magic to form an invisible platform that Vivian was sitting on. Still kept her protected, and Ariella didn't have to hold her the whole time. Plus this kind of barrier was a lot easier to maintain. "Of course they will." Ariella spoke in a gentle voice.
 
Brayden was joining into the fray, cutting down some of the men that got close to him. Yes they had been trained by the two high generals, but they were definitely a lot stronger than usual. A difficult fight this was going to be, but Brayden was needing to let off some steam anyways. So it all worked out in the end.
 
Ariella was just watching for a moment in time although it wasn't long before she was looking Vivian for a moment, see how the other female was doing. Yet her eyes seemed to be locked on the king, who was up to something. This had the angel summoning her bow to her hand and soon enough an arrow was flying at the king, who was giving a startled yelp. Well that stopped him from casting whatever it was he was casting, and dark eyes were turning towards the two ladies. More specifically towards Ariella, who seemed unafraid at that point in time.
 
Kodi looked at her and gave a wolfy grin the battle was helping regain his human mind so shifting would be easier for him when it came time for him to shift
 
The king was snarling that she was going to regret that which had Ariella commenting, "Then please.... I welcome you to try and stop me from doing it again." As she was speaking already another arrow was flying at the man.
 
The king was just watching for a moment and probably would have teleported with his guard.... but felt his power suddenly locked away. "You fucking bitch." he snarled up at Vivian, instantly knowing who had done it. Ariella was just wrapping her arms around the woman gently.
 
Ariella just drew Vivian towards her and was taking them back towards the ground, assuring her that the king wasn't going to be able to get close to her at all.
 
Vivian was just watching before she was stating that she couldn't keep them powerless for long. Although it wasn't long before Brayden was going up behind the guard and bashing him in the back of the head.
