First character is up for me, second will come sometime tomorrow or the day after.
 
Yep Wikipedia has lots of great info for royal navy classifications. Good to point that out to others.

For example MC's ship is listed at 44 guns but assuredly has swivel guns and some carronades too.
 
My second character is up, though I might change the pictures for both. I'm not too educated or good with period-specific clothing and all that. I'm pretty sure I might be a century or half-century ahead in fashion style.
 
Pictures are tough. I fall back on just description a lot as well, nothing wrong with that to help you make your character exactly what you want.
 
I can help you guys look for faces if you want to either send me a real life faceclaim reference or description

It took forever to settle on a picture and even then I had to do some manipulation🤣 Finding faceclaims is hard lol
