Richter was drawing closer and closer to his prey. It had been a long month of tracking down the monster terrorising the small town, a lot of hiding in the shadows, questioning survivors and next of kin of the victims, seeking out the scent of the latest in a long line of those...things. When the first victim had shown up he had been tracking another but as soon as he had done his 'job' he had moved on to here with the same expediency as he always showed in his two century long mission to wipe them out. Who they were was as well kept a secret as what he was, most of the world oblivious to his presence and that of his 'victims'. He crept quietly towards the alleyway, downwind from the sounds of struggling, the panicking, the muffled screams of the girl held in it's clutches. It. He wouldn't honour these creatures with gender or as a person in his mind though technically it had been one, a man. Strongly built he was almost 7 feet tall to Richter's 6. An imposing figure of rage and fury dressed in a black leather jacket with patches of skulls, band iconography, a pentagram painted onto the back in red and studs on the shoulders and arms. The creature wore ripped blue jeans and filthy black boots with steel plated toecaps, the ones he had used to crush the ribcage of his last victim for no earthly reason than the fun of it. They made him sick.

Richter himself was much more refined, only barely the same species. He was smartly dressed, a long black coat of a light black cloth over a red silk shirt, black leather belt holding up the black trousers...he had found that when stalking his prey black and dark reds blended in better without looking too suspicious and he liked the colour too. Of course, his shoes were black, ankle boots polished to a mirror sheen. He looked like somebody who could get into a nightclub and past the strict dresscodes if he had to, not like the rough, scruffy monster he could see in front of him. In the beast's arms was an Asian woman in a light blue dress which shimmered as the light caught it...it was the late hours of a Saturday night, almost 11pm. She had probably been out having a good time with friends and left to go home when it had grabbed her. It didn't matter why, it only mattered that he had found it. It had one hand over her mouth to muffle her screams as it savagely bit down into her throat, feeding like an animal going straight for the carotid artery. She wouldn't survive, Richter was too late to save this girl but not too late to put down her killer. He pulled out the dagger he liked to use to end these, the long and slender twelve inch blade more than capable of doing the job. The blade itself was pure silver, the sheath a black leather and the handle stainless steel covered in yet more black leather to protect his hands. The guard was made of the same material...he didn't need anything but the blade to be silver to deal with his target.

Rounding the corner, he broke into a sprint far faster than any human could manage, crossing the distance between them in seconds as he aimed his blade for the heart, towards the back of the monster. His approach was hardly stealthy but even for a vampire it was impossible to be completely silent and another vampire, even one as far gone as the feral in front of him would have hearing good enough to pick it up, speed was the only option he had, that and the element of surprise. The creature turned and in a moment of desperation or genius level quick thinking threw it's victim at him. Richter almost came to a halt as he stopped to catch her, feeling the blade of his dagger sink into her stomach as blood from her throat went everywhere, all over his face, his coat, his hands. She had been dead before she had hit his blade. He swore under his breath.
"Fucking monsters..." throwing the girl's corpse aside he lunged, lashing out with the dagger and then a sweeping kick. The dagger was narrowly evaded but he felt the impact with it's leg, heard it cry out as a satisfying crack filled the air. Not broken, no...it was surely fractured though, it could fight the pain but it would slow it down. "Give it up beast, I've found you now and you can't get away once I've found you, you're injured, I'm faster than you, better than you...I'm not going to let you get away alive now." His ice blue eyes showed no mercy as he watched the creature leap up to the wall, the injured leg barely slowing it down as it clung to the fire escape. Barely...it was still a vampire even if it was one of those disgusting monsters that killed to feed, tearing at their victims. An injured leg wasn't enough, was likely already healing but it was enough that he would be able to catch it and that's what mattered...until he heard the noise. A high pitched voice from his right, from the mouth of the alley that led to the streets distracted him. "Aha! I've caught you in the act you bloodsucking demon!" Where he was standing looking up at the feral vampire he was in the glow of the nearby streetlight whereas the monster had retreated to the darkness of the fire escape a good 12 feet up. The girl who had cried out to him, before she fired her weapon likely couldn't see the feral as it leered down at him. Richter could hear the low, bemused chuckle as he turned towards the girl.

He saw the crossbow pointed at him, he raised his arm just in time as the silver tipped bolt flew through the air. Whoever she was, she had good aim, if he hadn't gotten his arm up...if she hadn't called out to him. He cried out in pain as the silver began to burn, grabbing the shaft and tearing it out. He could hear the feral retreating to the rooftops but he couldn't give chase as he had to deal with the human girl who was now sprinting at him, drawing what looked to be a pair of sai that looked to be silver. Growling, he turned towards her, crouching into a defensive stance. Of all the luck...he had finally found the feral that had been preying on women in the town for months and a fucking hunter had interfered. Didn't they realise yet that he wasn't the killer, that he was helping? He was doing their job for them...his own also, but it was theirs too damn it.
"Girl, I don't have time for this nonsense, he's going to get away!" At his feet laid the Asian woman, blood already pooling and running down the alleyway, Richter himself had it around his mouth, on his hands, on his coat. The woman's blood was on his blade, dripping down, and the girl was charging towards him.

It was going to take a lot of explaining.

Emberlynn gazed up at the shrouded moon, sighing behind her mask. Wait, the elders had cautioned, they didn't have enough information yet. How much information did they need? She was not the only youth of the clan that felt this way, but she was the only who had snuck out after lights out. Honestly she didn't know what she hoped to obtain by doing this, but it was frustrating being kept so far out of the loop. In her little fantasy, she pictured killing the vamp and dropping his head at the feet of the council. To be rewarded for taking the initiative. Yeah.. that sounded good.

The cool air felt nice as it swirled around her, the breeze stirring her silver locks, the pony tail dancing with it. Dressed in the outfit of her clan, she blended into the shadows with ease. The top was molded leather dyed black and reinforced with harder deep red leather at her breast, shoulder. The gauntlets were of the same deep read leather, scaled on the backs of her hand and arm and along her fingers the leather was durable but thinner. Leather pants, softer than the chest piece but the same shade of black were molded to her body like a second skin. Deep read leather was accented on her pants as well criss-crossing over her legs like a harness of sort, keeping the pants from gaping at the open slashes at her upper thigh. A belt with tools of the trade rested on her hips tied in the back with a bow. Red leather soft soled boots rode up her calves to her knee, secured in place. Her leather wolf mask in the same deep red with sharp looking white leather teeth, covered her nose and mouth giving her profile a fierce appearance.

She had been raised by the clan since she was a baby, her family killed by vampires. Everyone's had. They had become a new family. It was why Ember couldn't understand why they seemed to be dragging their heels. Normally the clan moved to the vampires and the elder hunters hunted them.. But a sister clan had been attacked and called for aid. So they had left, leaving those too old to hunt to watch after those who had yet to bloody a weapon outside of the sparring ring. They would be safe enough.. But while they were safe a monster was ripping through the young women of the town. People were beginning to panic. Why not let them go after the creature?? It was what they had been rescued for. What they had trained for.

A scream sounded in the distance, muffled and just barely recognizable. Her head snapped up, silver hair cracking in the wind with the movement. Golden eyes narrowed as she scanned the darkness, another cry this one weaker and she was off. She had no doubt that this was a vampire attack. Her grand plans had been meant to be just that, she had hoped more honestly to gather intel and bring it back and demand they be allowed to hunt this monster! However, she would not allow it to murder and innocent woman. Not if she could help.

Running along the sidewalk silently she rounded the corner of an alleyway and fought the urge to gasp. An imposing figure lingered in the darkness at the end of the alley, a body at his feat. Rage coursed through her small frame and her training kicked in. A crossbow was pulled from her back as she fired
"Aha! I've caught you in the act you bloodsucking demon!" Mentally she cursed herself, she shouldn't have shouted! The silver tipped bolt whistled through the air aimed at his heart. The moment he turned, raising his arm just time to stop it, she had begun running at him, her sai held defensively. Flipping her dominant hand, the blades of her sai spun out.

Each hunter was allowed to choose their own weapon, Ember had been guided to the sai because of her agility. She was lightening quick and smalll, allowing her to break past defenses set up. She fight with a mix of her weapons and kicks. That showed as he dropped down into a defensive stance, a leg coming up in a feint. As he blocked her she used the movement that he gave her spinning away and back into him with the blade of her weapon. She had blown her chance at a kill but she wouldn't do so again!

His words fell on deaf ears. He was clearly the killer, the blood on him.. his face, his weapon his clothing.
"Liar!" She had been taught they were sliver tongued liars. Not to be trusted. Common sense one would think. She cared not.. She went for another attack, growling softly behind her mask. It would be him or her. She was too late to save the woman but she could avenge her. She blocked a blow from his dagger with her sai, meal on metal screaming, the force behind it causing her to stagger. Fuck.. She knew they'd be fast, stronger.. But the reality of it was terrifying.

Richter knew his words weren't getting through to her, he even understood it but while he was focused on her his prey had already slipped away. The monster...the feral. He and those like him who hunted them called them ferals not because of some mindlessness, they weren't unintelligent monstrosities, they were every bit as capable of speech, thought and planning as he was, they were called feral because of their behaviour. Something happened to some vampires...they weren't satisfied with the way things were generally done, not killing, taking only the blood they needed to live and then letting their victims leave with either wiped memories or just feeding from the willing. Ferals liked to kill...the glutted, gorged themselves on the blood and left bodies wherever they went. They needed putting down. This one had seen the situation was against him, he had proven particularly evasive too and after all the time hunting him to see him just get away...Richter snarled as the girl got closer to him and aimed a kick at him, raising his already injured arm to block and bat the leg away. "Child I'm warning you, I'm not in the mood to play these games with you..." Even as he blocked her she used the momentum of him knocking her leg away to spin on her heel gracefully and aim the dangerous looking sai at him. He barely dodged it in time, his body quickly leaning to the side and back out of the path of it. She was quick...if he wasn't so annoyed he would be impressed for a girl of her age to fight so well. She had to have been trained for several years to reach this level of competency. He swiped at her with the dagger, aiming for her shoulder to incapacitate her and was met with the sound of metal clashing as she raised her other sai in time to block. The power he put behind the blow unbalanced her anyway.

He grinned. Clearly she was a vampire hunter of some kind and he had heard rumours of a clan in the area, but they always underestimated their prey. It was easy to think to be a vampire hunter, to have visions of glory when you were young like this, full of confidence and fury, quite possibly vengeance but it was another to face somebody faster, stronger and more experienced than you in battle. He acted quickly as she staggered, grabbing her wrist with one hand and pulling her towards him, his other hand dropping his dagger so he could close his fingers around her forearm to stop her bringing the other sai to bear on him. Her back slammed into his chest with force, though he wasn't moved by it in the slightest, supernatural power and resilience made it hard to knock Richter off balance, and he squeezed her wrist, smacking her hand against the wall hard enough to make her drop the weapon, hopefully not breaking anything. She might be trying to kill him but she was clearly misinformed, mistaken, and foolish. She didn't deserve to die just for that. He wrapped his arm around her throat and began to apply pressure, growling behind her.
"I told you I didn't kill her you little pest, while you're trying to impale me the real killer is getting away." It wasn't long before she fell unconscious as he completely cut off her oxygen, lowering her gently to the ground. Quickly scaling the fire escape there was no sign of the feral...just as he had feared, it had escaped the moment Richter had been distracted and it was highly unlikely he would run into it again tonight. Sighing, he climbed back down to the ground, picking up and sheathing his dagger. He was tempted to leave the girl where she laid but if it came back...and if the police came by she would be in a lot of trouble too being found with the body, that and she could go giving his description to the hunters she worked with. Who knew, maybe she had info on the feral, she had found it after all. He lifted her onto his shoulder and carried her back to the abandoned house he had made his home for the time being, carefully retrieving her weapons using his coat to handle the silver.

He laid her down in his bed, still fully clothed, a warm fire heating the room for the first time in weeks, he didn't really need the heat but he figures she would. Her weapons had been put safely in another room. It was a decent if rundown building on the edge of town, small holes in the roof and boarded up windows but that suited him just fine, the bed was comfortable, he had bought a fresh mattress for it and sheets and the house wasn't so dilapidated that it was unlivable or even dirty. He had little to do during the day so he had cleaned it up well. Leaving her unconscious he had started to take care of his wound from the crossbow bolt, pulling off his torn jacket and shirt, sitting in a seat by the fire and bandaging himself up.

Off balance he quickly took advantage of it. Pulled into him with force the wind was knocked out of her. He might as well have been a brick wall. Struggling she tried to break her wrist free from his grasp but was unable to break his vice like grip. Her hand was slammed into the wall and she cried out, her sai dropping to the ground. It felt like she didn't have eleven years of training as she was held in his tender embrace, resulting to kicking and scratching. But it was like attacking a rock. He seemed to care not, the hand at her throat applying ever increasing pressure. Her vision began to dark, spots in the corners. This was how she'd die? Her last thought before the void claimed her.

Ember had known pain in her life but only from sparring. The pain of rigorous training, the occasional accident.. It however did not compare to the pain she felt now. The injuries were mild in truth, but it didn't mean it wasn't painful. That was the first thing her waking mind knew and wave of relief swam through her. She wasn't dead?! Had another hunter came along and saved her? She gave a groan, a mix of the pain and the humiliation. Slowly sitting up she checked her hand, flexing it carefully. The bones didn't seem broken but her whole hand hurt.. Being as protected as they were, had she not been wearing gloves her hand likely would have been broken.

Slowly Ember raised her eyes, looking about the room she was in. It was dark and lit by the flickering light of the fire. It was as her eyes swept to the fire that she saw him. She.. hadn't been saved. He had taken her. Perhaps his next meal? She gave a low growl and winced the sound hurting. She recalled how he had incapacitated her and knew that her throat was more likely than not bruised. She wasn't going to die here...

There was no doubt he knew she was awake, she had not been silent. Attack him? She was injured and a quick glance showed that she was missing her weapons as well as her belt. A quick glance around the room showed they were not in sight at the very least and there was little furniture in the room save fore the bed she was sitting on, the chair he occupied, a dresser a table near him and that was it. So nothing to easily fashion a weapon out of either. If the table had been closer.. perhaps she could have broken a leg off and tried. Sure, wood wasn't like silver but it would have slowed him down if she rammed it through his dead heart.

She moved to the edge of the bed, not wishing to be upon it should he decide to just attack.. He hadn't harmed her yet.. Who knew what sick game he was playing. She began to head towards the door, quietly. She moved with grace and stealth, not like it would matter to a vampire anyway. As she neared the door she heard him move and she made a break for the door, injured hand on the knob, twisting the handle. She could make it!

Pulling off his coat he had frowned at the hole the arrow had made and the blood covering it, a distasteful look on his face. It wasn't like it was expensive but he hated the idea of having to patch it up...in his 438 years of life Richter had never gotten used to sewing which meant he often had to replace clothes which got even slightly ruined since he had developed a love of looking impeccable too. It was probably one of his faults but his image meant a lot to him, cultivated over centuries from rough yet noble looking warrior to charmingly stylish defender of the public, at least that was how he saw himself. If others saw him differently he couldn't tell, he didn't spend much time around any one person long enough for them to feel comfortable critiquing him anyway. It had been around 200 years since he had taken up the calling to hunt down the ferals that had been passed down to him by the man who had turned him, the first 200 years of his unlife spent finding himself. It had taken tragedy to really drive the importance of his mission home to him. The brave vampire knight Leopold, his sire had been trying to get him to join his quest for decades but he had always been resistant. Funny now, ironic even, that as far as he knew he was the only one still fighting for that cause. The world had changed in the past 200 years...

He frowned, throwing the coat aside and working on bandaging the wound. The silver had burned a path through the muscle in his arm and made it slow to heal but it wasn't anything serious, a day at most and he would be as good as new so he just needed something to compress it. Plain white bandages were wrapped tightly around his forearm while he looked towards the girl on his bed. She looked young, he had no idea how she was so well trained at her age or if she was older and just looked that way but it didn't really matter, what mattered was now he had a captive of sorts and no idea what to do with her. He couldn't kill her...well, he could, but that wasn't something he actually would do, the very idea repulsed him...contrary to popular belief not all vampires killed, most in fact didn't. It was tradition to teach any you sired the correct way to feed, with consent or through mesmerising them and never taking too much. It wasn't just for the human's protection...it was to stop them from being outed. Humans grew up on all the vampire pop culture these days because too many of his kind had let themselves be noticed and it didn't take much to get people thinking. Dead bodies drained of blood were not good for them, even ferals at least tried to make it look like animal attacks.

He heard her start to move and make noise as he finished bandaging her. So, what to do...? He couldn't kill her but he couldn't free her either until he had killed his prey and moved on so he was at a loss, just hold her captive? He didn't even want to feed from her...well he did, but he wasn't a monster and she would no doubt be scared. While he was thinking things through it seemed she made a decision of her own, climbing down from the bed and trying to creep quietly for the door. He smirked to himself...it was adorable in a way that she thought that was even a viable strategy. He started to rise and she bolted, hand on the handle when he was behind her, body pressing her against the door as his hand found her wrist, stopping her cold.
"Going somewhere, little huntress?" His voice was deep and smooth, his accent English with a hint of American from being in this country for the last hundred or so years and he chuckled, wrapping an arm around her waist and lifting her easily, carrying her back towards the bed. Throwing her down he was on top of her in an instant, straddling her waist and looking down at her with those piercing blue eyes. One hand still held her wrist, the other found her other wrist, the injured hand, and being a little more careful not to hurt her too much pinned both above her head. "You don't seem stupid so you know I'm not just going to let you leave, not after you attacked me and cost me my prey." He smiled confidently down at her as only somebody in complete control could. "Maybe you should tell me why you fired at me and attacked me? Who are you, and where are you from. My name is Richter, let's start with yours."

Struggling between him and the door she swore, her voice husky. She went to kick him in his royal jewels as he pulled her back off her feet, laughing. Ember barely had time to bounce on the bed as she was tossed on it before he was on top of her. Arms above her head she tried to buck him off, squirmed and fight as best as she could. It worked about as well as one would expect. She was tiny in comparison, both in size and weight. She was five foot nothing and he was six foot. Her golden eyes narrowed into slits. "I did not cost you your prey.. She was dead on the ground. Like you said, I am not stupid."

She blinked at him. She wasn't stupid.. but she was beginning to question his own intelligence. That husky voice was snarky as she responded.
"I don't know, let me think yeah? You attacked and killed a woman in the alley. You already know who I am." He had called her huntress, he knew she hunted his kind. "Fuck you" She moved quickly and with practiced ease. She doubted he'd have expected it, he was cocky and confident he was control. Her legs moved bending at the knee, one of her feet locking his leg into her side tight. The same side her arm rose toward her other hand. She did so as quickly as she could rolling their bodies so she was on top. Looking down at him, her silver hair fell past her shoulder and brushed his cheek. "I am not telling you a damned thing fang face"

Richter growled, a flash of annoyance in his eyes. Yes, he damn well knew what she thought, that he had killed the Asian woman the feral had been feasting on but he had tried to tell her already that he hadn't done that...and while logically he understood why she wouldn't believe him it was also very frustrating. He could already tell this girl was going to be a pain in his ass. "For the last time I told you I didn't kill that woman." He was glaring straight into her eyes, it was clear that he was annoyed at having to explain it and defend himself. In general, he bore the girl no ill will but she had no way of knowing that other than listening to his words and it didn't seem like she was interested. "The feral killed her, you stopped me from killing it...you shot me, it hurt." He grinned playfully. Even annoyed, he could have a little fun. "You ruined my coat."

He felt her shift beneath him after her expletive and he knew what was coming, he didn't even try to fight it, he just held onto her wrists so that even when she flipped him she wasn't going anywhere. Sure enough she moved with the same fluid movement he had seen before, been trained to do if he was pinned and rolled him onto his back with her on top of him. Grinning up at her, he moved his own legs now to trap hers where they were and hold her in that position. It wasn't like she could have flipped him if he hadn't let her anyway, he had more than enough strength to hold down a young girl.
"Fuck me? If that's all you wanted you should have just said so." He smirked and raised his hips towards her, wondering if it would piss her off. "Why are you even trying to resist...you know that you can't overpower me, I could kill you...don't you think it's strange that I haven't? At least tell me your name, I can't just keep on calling you grumpy huntress." He was trying a new interrogation tactic, frustrating her, and he suddenly pulled her wrists and wrapped his arms around her so they were held behind her back and lifted himself to his knees with unnatural speed and strength. She was forced down onto her back again but this time he was kneeling between her thighs and leaning over her with his hands holding hers behind her back, pressing down on her. Like this, when she breathed he could see her chest rise beautifully, and he looked down openly. "Hmmm...maybe I could spare some time to fuck you if it's really what you want..."

He kept saying the same thing over and over. He didn't kill her. It was odd. Even so, she couldn't trust him.. It was likely some sort of creepy vampire tactic. "If the 'feral' killed her" it was clear she didn't believe him "Why was her blood on your weapon, your mouth and clothing?" She snorted softly and rolled her eyes as he complained about getting shot. "Poor big bad vampire. I'm sorry I hurt you.. You only killed a woman.. I think a little ouchie and a ruined coat are insignificant in comparison." Her tone was definitely as mocking at her words. "Even suspending reality for a moment and the 'feral' is real, you didn't kill her. The woman is dead and you're worried about your fucking coat!"

Stuck now on top of him was not any better, her small body pressed against him hard. She growled and fought to escape his hold, unable to move even as he pushed his hips into her. "I don't do necrophilia, oh so sorry" His question about why she was trying to resist made her yet again question his intelligence. Her eyes narrowed to golden slivers. "Because I am a wolf, not a sheep" She head butt him hard. Yeah it hurt like hell but she was never going to stop fighting. She was going to die, it was just a matter of time... She would go with a fight even if it was pointless. She'd not be easy prey.

He didn't seem to like that very much and she found herself bound tighter, arms behind her back before he forced her back down onto her back. Did he think he was some kind of hero for not killing her? For saving her as a walking snack for later? Fucking batty. Ember saw where his eyes went and growled. If his plan was to rape and then feed on her she'd rather he kill her now. That thought held firmly in mind she spit in his face. "Monster and a creep, nice combo there..."

She was starting to really get on his nerves now, her entire attitude was feisty and impressively confrontational despite the fact they both knew he could kill her in an instant and while it was no struggle to hold her there on top of him the fact she was fighting so hard was adorable in a frustrating kind of way but her insistence that he was the killer and refusal to listen was making him want to hurt her. He wasn't a killer...he had never said he was a saint. His patience had limits. "The woman was unknown to me, that coat has been with me at least a year." He grinned, laughing at the terrible joke. Sure, he wished he had gotten there in time to save the woman but he hadn't, if he let that get to him ever time a feral killed somebody then he would be a mental wreck by now. "Her blood was on my weapon, mouth and clothing because the thing threw her at me, I'd like to see you avoid a missile thrown at you by a...owww!" She had suddenly slammed her head into him and that was when he had decided she needed to be on her back again.

"You're starting to piss me off now. Do I feel like a corpse to you, little girl?" His tone was sharper, anger was starting to build in him after she spat on him and he wiped it off angrily as he forcefully held her down and she wriggled against him. She was cute...he wouldn't mind fucking her but he was no rapist either. His advantage was she didn't know and wouldn't believe any of that, and he definitely didn't mind making her think he would. He released her wrists only to grab her waist and very forcefully flip her onto her stomach, sitting back down on the backs of her thighs and grabbing her wrists again with his overwhelming speed. He didn't plan to let her fight him like this forever. Holding them with one hand he tore the sleeve from his shirt and used the fabric to bind her wrists behind her back. "Hah, a wolf...seem more like a lost little puppy to me." With her wrists bound he tore his other sleeve and did the same to her ankles.

Still on her thighs now he didn't have to expend energy holding her down and he raised one sleeveless arm and brought it crashing down on her ass, again and again. Her clothing afforded her some protection but the ten blows came fast and hard, then his hands found the bed at either side of her head. Leaning foreward, his crotch was pressed against her rear and he licked her neck like he was getting ready to bite her. He was already a little hard, he couldn't help that he found her attractive and enjoyed the struggle even if he had no intention to act on it.
"If you want a monster, fine...tell me your name or I will do it, I will rape you, dozens of times, for days and weeks on end while I stay here. I'll use you as my human bloodbag, I'll keep you alive only to feed on you and use your body in ways you can't imagine and then finally, when your mind is broken and you're begging for me to end it...I'll make you just like me and send you home." He knew he was being hard on her, he was sure he could terrify her into cooperating, at least a little. "Tell me who you are and you'll get a quick death. That's what I'm offering you, little girl."

She was still appalled at how easily he dismissed the life, it was just further proof of what she thought he was. Even if what he said was true it made him no less a monster. It had to be the long life that made them apathetic to the mortal coil. Angering him didn't scare her yet at least. If he got angry enough perhaps he'd kill her. Her thoughts were grim, having little desire to be his next meal.

Ember was struck again with his speed, flipped onto her stomach she didn't have any time to move her arms before he caught her wrists again. Swearing she bucked under him, trying to dislodge the mountain that sat on her thighs. She growled low in her throat as he bound her wrists, she could feel the cloth on her skin and wondered if she could break it. Unlikely, she'd need leverage that she lacked. As he tried to bind her feet she thrashed best that she could, cursing him. It rankled that he called her a puppy, but it was meant to, Ember wasn't stupid.

The first blow caught her off guard, what even she had expected it wasn't spanking, like a naughty child. Her head bowed forward and her mouth caught the sheets and comforter in her mouth, the closest thing she had to a bit. He wouldn't get the pleasure of hearing her whimper. The blows were nothing to scoff at even with the leather protecting her ass. Tears had gathers at the edges of her lashes but lingered there. She felt him shift, his body pressing against hers and his growing excitement. The touch of his tongue made her flinch. Exhaling slowly she counted to four, then held for four before breathing in for a count of four. She was trying to calm the fear that was building up inside, the panic.

What he asked wasn't a lot. He wanted her name.. A name was nothing. She didn't even know her real name, the one her parents had given her... But she did have the name the clan had given her. It was one small thing.. But telling him would mean she'd trust his word. Problem was, there was no good solution here. Tell him or not, she was still stuck here until he killed her or tired of her. Growling deep in her throat, the sound was that of frustration.
"Emberlynn"

He could almost smell the fear in her...he could hear how her heartbeat had quickened, he felt her flinch and struggle and could hear how she tried to calm herself with breathing techniques. Those were not going to do much for her in her current situation, had he actually been willing to do the things he said he would then breathing techniques were about as useful as a breastplate made of paper. More than that, he could see the tears on her lashes when he looked down at her face, her head pressed to the bed on it's side. He genuinely was starting to get excited, he had a taste for being rough and forceful in bed, the girl was pretty and he had enjoyed spanking her cute little ass even if he had allowed her the mercy of keeping her clothing on to cushion the blow and while he wasn't of the mind to actually rape her he was more than happy to strip her of that if she continued to resist. He was one of the 'good' guys in that he didn't kill humans, hunted down the ferals and he was generally a good person to have on your side but he was also over four centuries old, used to getting his way and followed his own set of rules.

He grabbed a fistful of her hair and pulled her head back, smirking as he pressed his growing length against her again, almost fully erect now and he was definitely enjoying grinding it against her.
"Emberlynn...such a very pretty name. Mine is Richter, like I told you already. Now my other questions, where are you from? A group of hunters, I assume, since you didn't learn that wonderful technique on your own." His lips moved down from by her ear to her neck and he allowed his fangs to graze her just lightly, the barest scratch that would draw no blood. "I bet you taste so sweet, like a virgin...all that training didn't leave you much time for boys, did it, little puppy?" Chucking in her ear he reached down and slid his hand beneath the leather covering her ass and started to pull it down, inch by inch to reveal her rear. He wasn't looking...yet, but she didn't know that. "Answer me, young wolf, tell me all about yourself or else it's going to be a night of new experiences for you, all of them fun...for me." He licked her cheek with the tip of his tongue. "If you're part of a clan then why hunt me alone?"

Her natural reaction was to whimper as she felt his growing excitement, but she bit it back. She wouldn't give her clan up.. She'd let him rape her before endangering them as well. The teeth that scraped across her skin earned him a tremble. Ember was unsure if it was just fear.. Disgusted with herself she pushed the thought from her head. She was just scared. "You already knew that I was a hunter and yes.. I learned from a group" She growled and thrashed hard against her binding as he slowly peeled her leather pants down.

Anger and fear spiked her response. "I like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain.." She smirked, her fear giving her false bravado. "I am eighteen and a Scorpio. I was raised by hunters after my parents were murdered by vampires." She hissed softly. "And if you expect further details on my clan you might as well rape me.." She turned as he licked her cheek, biting at his tongue. "And I didn't quite plan on hunting you... I was trying to gather information.. But I wasn't going to let that woman die if I could help it. I am not a monster.." If he was what he claimed to be, a hunter of a sort as well, he was so far disconnected from humanity it was sad. She still doubted his story.. And his current action were not making her faith in him grow...

Her whimper only added to his enjoyment of the interrogation, if he could really call it that. The girl was brave, he found that just as appealing as he did her body and her squirming...and baring her ass had just made it so much more fun to grind against her, his thin cotton slacks doing little to hide the almost nine inches that was being pressed against her already spanked rear. "A group, and what group is that? What kind of group sends a girl your age to fight something like me?" It was almost a shame he wasn't the monster she thought he was, he was so sorely tempted to pull down his trousers and part the soft globes he was grinding against.

It seemed that her fear only went so far though. He got her age out of her, he got some sass and the sad story that he had honestly expected...hunters always did this, vengeance was a powerful way to recruit to your cause after all, and a common enemy was easy to rally against. He laughed, pulling his head back as she snapped at his tongue just in time to avoid her.
"Naughty puppy, I didn't know you wanted a part of me in your mouth so badly!" He smirked and rose to his knees straddling her thighs, looking down at that delicious looking ass. He reached for it, a hand on each cheek. "I have somewhere else I'd rather be first though, so maybe later." He parted the cheeks, growling softly...then he smacked her ass sharply once more on each cheek, barely holding back before he pulled her pants up for her.

Climbing off her, he shoved her towards the middle of the bed, sitting on the edge to look down at her as he rolled her onto her back.
"That's fair, I'll let you keep the details of your clan to yourself, Emberlynn. They leave me alone and I don't need to know anything more about them." The cruel look he had managed to hold for a while had gone now, he was even smiling softly, a complete change that spoke of how practised he was at turning on the 'evil vampire' act when he had to. His knife was still in it's sheath on his waist and he pulled it out, frowning at the blood on the blade. "Wait here." He started to leave, to go wash it away. He needed it clean for what he was about to do.

Ember growled. She had never been put into a position like this in her life. She had been on the losing end of spars, had accidents.. She had even had some budding sexual contact with a fellow hunter that had lead nowhere.. This was vastly different. It was sexually charged, painful in a way she had never experienced, both emotional and physical. As his hands spread her cheeks she fought the whimper and bit her lower lip hard as he smacked her ass, the soft globes bouncing with the impact.

She was glad when he pulled her pants back into place. Roughly shoved into the middle of the bed she struggled to sit up, managing to get onto her knees. Her hands rested behind her back still, but picked at the cloth that bound her ankles. She doubted her clan would leave him be, but she left that detail to herself. She silently watched him leave the room. Once he had left she tried to rip the cloth, a satisfying give as she yanked hard. Feet free she rose and made a run for it.

Out the door of the bedroom she looked around, a set of stairs to her left slightly. She wasn't going to sit around and wait. She didn't trust him and she wasn't going to sit around and wait till he decided what he was going to do with her. She took the stairs two at a time rushing for the front door. She knew, deep down this was likely pointless, she had seen his speed and strength. But she was a wolf, not cattle or sheep. She would not sit there and wait like one.

It didn't take long for Richter to wash the blade and he really didn't expect her to hang around either. He smiled to himself, listening as he heard fabric tear. She was going to try and run, he knew that before he heard the footsteps across the bedroom floor. He had left the door open on purpose, he was toying with her, trying to find out what she would do given the chance. She had proven again that she was a fighter...it was impressive that she hadn't given up even after his threats. The blade and sheath clean, he sheathed the knife and left the bathroom. She was close to the front door, locked of course, and he wondered how she was going to try and open it. The key was still in the lock but her wrists were still bound behind her by his sleeve. Chuckling, he watched her for a few moments before he sped after her, his hand slamming onto the door above her head, his body pressing hers against the door. "Going somewhere, puppy? I must have forgotten to install the doggy door."

He had a smirk on his face as he looked down at her, ready to use his one free hand to defend himself should she try to attack him, which knowing her like he did already she probably would, while his weight held the door firmly closed.
"I did tell you to wait on the bed, did you enjoy your spanking so much that you felt you had to earn yourself another?" He leaned down to growl softly in her ear. "Can't say I mind...but you could have just asked. I'd be happy to get my hands on you again." He licked the very tip of her ear lobe and chuckled, then reached around to grab her breast, squeezing roughly through her clothing. "Come on, little wolf, let's get you back upstairs." Taking his hand off the door he had it round her waist and lifted her as though she were nothing, carrying her back up to the room and throwing her down on the bed. Standing over her, he drew his knife.

"This will hurt a little." He pressed one hand to her stomach to hold her down and aimed the blade at one of the exposed areas of her inner thigh, bringing it closer. "Do not move unless you want this to seriously injure you. You only get the one warning." Carefully, he made a small cut on the thigh, not much more than a nick. He had a little of the blood on the blade after cutting it and brought it up to his lips, tasting with a soft growl. "Delectable. So fresh, yet fiery and smokey. Such a shame, really." Using the knife, he made a small cut on his thumb, then pressed it against the small wound on her thigh, letting the blood mix for just a few seconds before pulling back and putting the blade away. "There. Do you know what I just did? Do you know anything about those you hunt, and what just a little of our blood is capable of?" He smiled down at her, wondering how well she had been taught.

She felt the impact on her back, the sound of his hand on the door. Pinned she thrashed against the door. She had been so close.. Lifting a food she stepped hard on the insole of his foot, her hands still bound and unable to do much. Had she been taller.. She would have slammed the back of her head into his face. His weight against her smaller frame made breathing harder.

The touch of his tongue on her ear made something twist in her stomach, the reaction making her feel ill. She shouldn't react in that way to a monster! Any feeling that she had been having vanished quickly as he cupped her breast. She was small, but her body filled out well in her eighteen years. She growled low in her throat. Even through the protection of the leather she could feel the way his hand squeezed her.

Carried up the stairs she did all she could to get him to stop, or to drop her.. Or to get his hand off her breast! She kicked at his knee and other than a grunt and a slight buckle for a moment he seemed unphased. God she hated vampires.. Nor could she shake his balance and make him topple backwards. tossed on the bed for the second time, she bounced this time.

He was learning though, even as he had begun to warn her his hand was on her stomach holding her down before she could raise much. She growled and stayed sill. She wasn't stupid, though for a moment, it could be seen in her eyes that she considered it. Best to die on her own terms. Hissing as the blade parted the soft flesh of her inner thigh, the blood rushing to fill the gap.

Watching him with narrowed eyes and he licked the blade. The look was as expected no doubt highly unfriendly and disgust tinged. When he cut his own thumb and brought it toward her own bleeding wound she truly fight back and on his strength kept her on that bed. She didn't answer his question, as it brought up more in her own mind. What had he done? She knew what she had been told.. But she had never questioned her teachings before him... Frowning she glared at him. Were ferals real? What had he done with his blood. What.. did the elders really know.. and.. if they knew about either, how much more did they keep from them.

Richter shook his head, laughing as she struggled. She really didn't seem to have a clue what he had done if the glare was any indication, just what were they teaching her at that place? He was tempted to not tell her, to let her think on it in silence but maybe he could educate her and when he did let her go, maybe she would live a little longer. Some knowledge of the undead would surely go far, further than the blind hunting she had seemingly been doing. "Well then, stay right where you are this time and we can make a deal when I get back. I may unbind your wrists for you and explain what I have done to you...and to me, but you will have to be a good girl and promise not to try and run again. Start now, by staying." He gave her a wink and a grin. "Good doggy." Leaving her there, he took out his knife again. Cutting his palm, he pressed it to all the entrances and exits of the building, the door, the windows, in every room until he returned to the one he had left her in and did the same to the window there, speaking a few words in latin. "Quod non transire sanguine." Satisfied, he placed his knife down by his chair near the fire and looked over towards her.

"Have you made a decision yet? I'll tell you one part now, the rest later...who knows, Emberlynn the vampire hunter, maybe if you actually stopped being a stubborn little child you would learn something about those you claim to hunt, maybe you will find that not all things are as you are told and some monsters are not as bad as others." He was unbuttoning what was left of his shirt as he spoke to her, casting it aside and opening the wardrobe by the wall he found another and pulled it on. Cleaner, fresher...he had changed his trousers earlier too, but the shirt had to stay until he was bandaged as he had seen no point in replacing it until his wound was clean and not likely to ruin the new one. "We are linked now. I took your blood into me, and put a little of mine into you...be thankful I didn't make you ingest it by the way...so now I will be able to track you." He smiled, non-threateningly in his opinion but how she saw it was up to her. "I will be able to feel your presence for a while, feel your emotions when they are strong, you get the idea...so escape attempts really are pointless now." He sat down in his chair, looking over to her. "Want me to continue? Will you behave?"

She growled softly, but stayed, even thought it made her hackles rise. She hated that he called her doggy, it was far worse than puppy. She did stay put, as told, which was a small miracle but that was as far as it went. There was an old glass on the table next to the bed. She threw it with the same precision she had fired the bolt, it shattered satisfyingly next to his heat as he passed through the door frame. It didn't matter that he didn't look at her or react really, she felt better.

She waited as patiently as she could until his return. She watched him as he pressed his hand to the window of the room and spoke. She didn't know Latin but knew what sanguine meant. Some sort of blood magic? She watched as he undressed and looked away, blushing faintly. "I stayed on the bed, didn't I?" That was after all he had asked she do.

Her blood ran ice cold, he could track her? Did.. that mean she could never go home? She would never lead him to her clan.
"Track... me for how long" She was thankful he hadn't made her ingest it, but she didn't want his fucking blood in her anyway! She sifted on the bed, her shoulders starting to ache from the position he had tied her in. Giving in, she slowly started to lift her hands. She rotated her arms, her body moving with ease as she pulled her arms up and over her head. She was still bound, but her shoulders no longer ached like hell. It was a trick she had been taught to escape being bound.. It was painless if not a little gross to watch.

Ember smirked at him as he sat down, looking at her now.
"Define behave?"

He had heard her moving on the bed after her little growl and smirked as the glass shattered on the wall next to him. Had she done that with her feet? More and more he was impressed by her skill, she had done so very well to pull off these feats, the girl had talent but lacked any sort of experience whatsoever and lacked knowledge of her prey. That much had been clear when he had asked if she had known what he did. He felt her eyes on him as he undressed, taking his top off only was enough to have her look at him that way....a fun side effect he always appreciated of sharing his blood with one of the humans. He had grinned when she asked her question. "How long? I don't understand....did I lead you to believe there was a time limit?" He had sat down then and had to laugh as she performed some strange manoeuvre with her arms, ending with them bound in front of her and not behind her.

"Clever. You really think I need to define behave?" He sighed and laid his head back. It was morning, light outside, he needed sleep soon and yet he had to deal with this. "No trying to escape or harm yourself. You can pout all you like, throw things at my walls and even try to kill me if it means so much to you though I don't recommend the latter, you try to kill me and I'm going to punish you. I'll enjoy it too." He grinned, even with his head back against the chair and eyes closed it was clear he was enjoying himself. "The second thing I did by the way is a little trick some of us can do, we use our blood to bind the doorways and windows we perform it on. You can't cross those thresholds since I used my blood mixed with yours. That includes all of them leading out of the house and into the room next to this where the weapons are. Feel free to go try it out, I was quite careful so even if I couldn't track you, you can't leave until one of us dies or I lift the magic." He opened his eyes and looked over at her. "Well defined enough?"

Ember felt her heart sink. She could never go home. She looked away from him as he asked if he needed to define behave. It seemed, he was inclined to explain either way however. A small panic was building in the pit of her stomach as he talked, only half paying attention to his rambling list of "rules". What would she do? She hadn't finished her training in full, and if tonight was any example.. she needed more. Killing him had merit, she might be free of him then, but all her attempts thus far had been unsuccessful, unless you count the number of times her had spanked her a success.

She lifted her head to look at him, a though passing through her head as he explained the blood magic. She couldn't go through the door.. but what about through a wall, or floor? Weapons.. meant a chance to kill him. To go home. She looked away as he opened his eyes and looked at her. She bared her teeth at him in a feral manor and flipped him off. She lifted her arms in his direction.
"If I can't leave is there much point to keeping me bound?" She did realize that perhaps she should have asked before flipping him off.. Oh well.

At least she had a plan. Wait for him to sleep, break her binds if he didn't and then try another route into the room with the weapons. Kill him.. Go home. Find out what they were not being told. She knew that blood magic had never been brought up. Why? Did they not know. Did they think the information would do no good, because by the time you witnessed it you were trapped in a hovel with a handsy and sadist vampire? Teeth scraped at her bottom lip to one side as she thought. It wasn't a good excuse if it was the reason. Either they knew and withheld information or they didn't. It begged the further question... what else were they hiding or didn't know?

It was obvious that the wheels in her head were turning but Richter didn't begrudge her that, he only needed to keep her here for as long as it took him to find the feral anyway and he had plans for that. He had it's scent now...it wasn't like he was a tracking dog, it still wouldn't be easy to find it but it would be easier, and he even knew the part of town it liked to find it's victims and what it looked like. A day or two, a week at most and he would be out of here and the feisty young huntress could go on her way home. He laughed softly and climbed to his feet, walking over to her and pushing her back onto the bed. It was about time he slept anyway. Unbuttoning the shirt he had put on just a few minutes ago while thinking what a waste of time it had been he carefully folded it and laid it on the dresser by the bed. Next were his trousers, leaving him in only the blue silken boxer shorts as he folded them up just the same and placed them on top of the shirt. "That's a good point, I guess I don't need to leave you bound anymore, do I?"

Pushing again so she was on her back he climbed onto the bed, kneeling over her with one knee on either side of her waist and reached for her wrists. It was easy to tear away the sleeve of his shirt he had used and hold her wrists tightly in his hands. He wasn't a monster, he wouldn't cause her too much emotional pain or even physical but he couldn't help having fun with her...he had very little company in his quest, spending most of his time alone so having a guest, unwilling and temperamental as she was, was enjoyable. On top of that he rather liked the girl, if only she would actually stop trying to kill him or escape and listen to what he had told her he felt they could get along well. And then there was the fact that he was very attracted to her. Her age didn't matter to him, when he was human she would have already been married and humans died so young anyway, he'd seen several generations pass. She was old enough to be stunningly beautiful. It was enough.

Looking down at her, he thought he would at least give her a peace offering.
"A week." He let her absorb the word before he continued. "I didn't use much, my blood should be in your system for about a week, and yours in mine unless we exchange more, then I won't be able to track you anymore. You may or may not believe that's the truth, but it is what it is. If you behave yourself you will be released long before then and you can be safe in the knowledge I'm not interested in your clan in the slightest even if I could track you forever." He leaned down close to her, his lips barely and inch from hers as he spoke, her hands pinned to the bed. "So stop fighting, me, fierce little wolf. There's nothing in here you could kill me with anyway and you're locked out of the room with your toys, just behave yourself and once I leave I will let you go free. Isn't that what you want?" His tongue darted out, flicking over her lips and he rolled off her onto the bed at her side with a chuckle, laying on his back and closing his eyes. "I'm tired, I'm going to sleep. Clean up for me or something if you get bored. Or don't, it's your choice." He was already drifting off by the time he had finished speaking.

She sighed as she was pushed to her back yet again. She was getting sick of always ending up with him straddling her. She glared up at him even as he snapped the restraint like it was tissue paper. Ember fought the urge to push him off her, which was rewarded by his next words. Only a week? That.. That wasn't so bad. She was gazing up into his eyes when he licked her lips. She hissed at him, even as he rolled off her. There was no point trying to break into the room, if he was being honest that was. Or to attempt killing him. Turning her head towards him, she bared her teeth again, though this time there was nothing behind it, it was almost playful.

"I am your captive, not your maid. Besides.. you're living in a dump. What exactly would someone clean anyway? Doesn't seem like much of a point." If she wasn't going to kill him, she might as well sleep too. She would have preferred, all things considered to be in a warm bed. He didn't radiate much heat and the room while warmed by the fire was still chilly. Curling on her side, facing the wall she closed her eyes. It could have been worse. The mattress seemed new at least. She knew the others would be worried when they woke and she wasn't there.. The elders would tan her hide for sure. But it was something she could look forward too, as odd as that was. To be alive to be punished.

Richter had laughed as she hissed at him, shaking his head and grinning. He didn't mind, not really, her personality was something he very much enjoyed about modern day women, back in his day when he was her age...they had all been so demure and shy, so quiet at least in front of men. None of them would have fought back like she did. He had smiled, the corners of his lips turning up just a little bit when she had angrily commented at his suggestion of cleaning. "Well it doesn't have to be a dump, you could make it so much more comfortable if you were my maid. Should I get you one of those black and white uniforms for you to wear, would it make it easier for you?" He had turned his head and opened his eyes to look at her. "I don't think I would mind, you'd look very pretty in one. I'd enjoy watching you clean." Smirking, he had closed his eyes to sleep then, knowing he was probably annoying her and enjoying the tension of it in the room.

Later that night when he woke he wasted little time in getting dressed, leaving her where she was, sleeping. With no need to lock the doors or windows or bind her he was free to leave and he did just that, looking for the monster he was hunting. He was gone for several hours, feeding while he was gone on a girl who he had fed on a few times already. She seemed mostly agreeable, and it was easy to make her forget once he was done and came with an almost sweet taste...though if he thought about it he would have preferred Ember's blood, the fiery, smokiness of it much more appealing to his tastes but he wasn't going to force himself on her despite his threats. Selina would do for now, willing and fulfilling enough. Unable to find his prey, he stopped to grab chinese food on the way back to his temporary home, and something for the girl to drink besides tapwater before returning for another night just before sunrise.

Ember's response to his suggestion had been to merely flip him off over her shoulder. Not like that was happening. As she laid beside him, her mind wandered before sleep. It danced around confusing thoughts. The elders and the general lack of knowledge the hunters seemed to have. She was near the end of her training. close to being sanctioned to hunt with and elder hunter. She should have known about things like ferals and blood magic, shouldn't she? The other confusing thing was her feelings to her captor. He was handsome, if not arrogant and insufferable. Was it wrong to be attracted to him even in the slightest? Sighing she let her mind spin in circles before dizzy with her problems she fell into sleep.

She felt him rise and merely grumbled, not wishing to wake yet. It would be an hour or so before she rose for the night. Of course, unsupervised she tried the doors and windows. Every single one of them. her weapons, and she assumed his own were in the only whole fucking room. The walls thick, the floor solid. She knew he wasn't stupid, but she had hoped. She spent time going through the few possessions he left where she could go, after all.. there was nothing else to do other than work out and she had already done her normal morning routines..

Starving she was perched on the bed carefully carving the message an annoying vampire sleeps here with an arrow pointing to the spot he had slept. Childish perhaps, but she was hangry and bored. She looked up as the door below opened. Tossing the chunk of rock she had been using across the room she leapt from the bed, ready to give him a piece of her mind about how humans needed food
"You know fang face, you may not to feed daily but I need several meals a day" Her metabolism was always high and she had been starving since shortly after waking up. Skidding to a halt at the bottom of the stairs she had the grace to look embarrassed as the smell of food hit her.. She couldn't help it but the little whine and hopeful look that crossed her face. "For me?"

When he arrived 'home' as it was for now, Richter could hear her approaching immediately and laughed, looking up the stairs. Either she was eager to see him or she just wanted somebody to let her temper loose on again, either way he thought it was kind of cute. He heard her taking the stairs fast, stopping near him and making a comment about food clearly before she realised he had food with him. He raised his eyebrow, looking at her and stepping past her to take the stairs, climbing up to the top and walking into his room. He paused, looking at the bed. He saw the carving almost immediately and shook his head. How had she even managed to carve it, had she used a piece of stone? Some wood? Had he left a nail around somewhere for her to grab. He sighed and placed the food down on his table. "Is this what it has come to, puppy? Bratty petulance and pranks while I search for my prey?" He was amused, there was no doubt about that, but he wasn't just going to let her get away with it.

He hadn't just bought the food either, he had found a supermarket still open on the way home and bought a fresh set of clothes for her in her size, tight jeans and a clean blouse, even socks and underwear. He threw the bag down by the bed.
"Yes, the food is for you, did you think I would let you starve? Clearly you still think I'm a monster." He sat down on his chair, having assumed she would follow him to the room he hadn't been disappointed and now he watched her enter. "An annoying vampire sleeps here...you know I could turn you, right? Then maybe it wouldn't be about me anymore, would you like that puppy?" He grinned, looking up at her from his seat. "Or I could just give you a spanking to remind you that you'll behave under my roof, then you can have your food and clothes. Seems like a fair trade for your mischief." He didn't really think she would accept that readily but he was feeling playful and he didn't mind an excuse to lay his hands and eyes on her rear again. "Puppies do need to learn to obey their Masters."
